She Belongs To Me Ch.56 Extra 3
After flying for more than ten hours, Jiang Ci walked out of the terminal with her luggage trolley.
She had been on a tour with her team for over a month. Although she had stopped taking long business trips like this since being with Lu Xingxue, a first-tier lawyer suddenly fell ill, and Jiang Ci had to take over the tour as a substitute.
Lu Xingxue came to pick her up at the airport, and from the moment Jiang Ci saw her, her heart started beating irregularly.
They hadn’t been apart for such a long time in eight or nine years.
During their trip, they had video chatted with each other, and Jiang Ci had even joked that maybe they didn’t have as much passion now that they were married and had a child, and that being separated wouldn’t make them miss each other so much anymore. But the moment she saw Lu Xingxue, she was immediately ensnared by her gentle gaze, and only wanted to hide in her arms.
Lu Xingxue chuckled and asked, “I thought we had lost our passion?”
Jiang Ci held her tightly, not admitting to her foolish words, and quickly changed the subject, “Let’s go pick up Xiao Jiang Tang from school. I’m back and I want to give her a surprise.”
Lu Xingxue replied, “She didn’t go to kindergarten today, she woke up this morning complaining because of stomach pain.”
Jiang Ci’s heart tightened, and she let go of her embrace, “What’s wrong with her stomach? Is she okay now?”
“She’s fine,” Lu Xingxue laughed, “I took her to see a doctor, and on the way there, she negotiated with me. She said seeing the doctor was okay, but she wanted to avoid getting shots or taking medicine.”
Lu Xingxue said it was nothing to worry about, and Jiang Ci felt relieved. But when she heard Xiao Jiang Tang bargaining even though she had a stomachache, she was surprised by her cuteness and paused before asking, “What did the doctor say?”
“The doctor told her to drink more hot water,” Lu Xingxue took the luggage cart and headed towards the parking lot with Jiang Ci.
“… Huh?” Jiang Ci finally reacted, “So she intentionally wanted to skip school?”
“Probably because she wanted to eat something,” Lu Xingxue said, “After we left the hospital, she said she was sick today and wanted to go see her grandfather, and then she hugged Auntie Yun and asked for milk cake.”
Jiang Ci laughed and cried at the same time.
After they put their luggage in the car, Lu Xingxue asked Jiang Ci, “Are we going to pick up Xiao Jiang Tang directly from her grandfather’s, or are we going home first?”
“Um…” Jiang Ci lowered her head to fasten her seatbelt and slowly said, “I have to pack some gifts for Grandpa and Auntie Yun.”
Lu Xingxue placed one hand on the steering wheel. “So, should we go home first?”
Jiang Ci continued to speak slowly, “I also need to take a shower and change my clothes.”
Lu Xingxue’s lips curled up, and she raised her finger to touch Jiang Ci’s ear. “Got it.”
Her fingertips followed the outline of Jiang Ci’s ear and landed on her earlobe. Lu Xingxue’s movements were gentle, but there was an electric current that reached Jiang Ci’s heart.
Jiang Ci turned to look at her, and in the next second, Lu Xingxue leaned in and kissed her.
Originally intending to just lightly taste, the mingling of their hot breaths turned the kiss into a spark that could set the world ablaze, and the two of them kissed deeper and deeper. Lu Xingxue buried her head into Jiang Ci’s white neck, and Jiang Ci’s breathing grew heavier. Just as they were finding it hard to part, a wine-red sports car parked across from them honked its horn loudly.
Lu Xingxue released Jiang Ci and wiped away the lipstick smudges for her. “Baby, wait a little longer.”
“Don’t say it out loud!” Jiang Ci covered her face with her hand but looked at the car across the street from the gaps between her fingers.
The engine of the sports car roared, and it drove away with a “whoosh.”
That day, Xiao Jiang Tang waited sleepily until After eight in the evening to see her mother who had come to pick her up.
“Where’s my Mama?” Xiao Jiang Tang, wearing a deer-patterned onesie, hugged Lu Xingxue’s neck, disappointment written all over her powdered face for not seeing Jiang Ci.
Lu Grandpa also asked Lu Xingxue with concern, “Did Ah-Ci’s flight get delayed? Or was it rescheduled?”
Lu Xingxue said, “She’s back, but long-haul flights are tiring, and her neck is uncomfortable. She felt dizzy, so I let her sleep first, and we’ll come over another day.”
“Mama is dizzy?” Xiao Jiang Tang leaned softly against Lu Xingxue, her voice full of milkiness and asked.
Lu Xingxue patted her little head, “So when you get home, you can’t make noise and disturb her. Let her rest well, okay?”
Xiao Jiang Tang pouted, “Okay.”
Grandpa Lu said, “You can’t underestimate neck problems. It’s considered a job-related illness for Ah-Ci. Xiao Bai, you have to take good care of your own wife and make sure she rests when she needs to.”
“I know,” Lu Xingxue replied.
Lu Xingxue took Xiao Jiang Tang home, and as soon as she entered the door, Xiao Jiang Tang ran upstairs. When she saw her running, Hei Yanquan followed her meowing, and Lu Xingxue chased after them, saying, “We agreed not to bother Mama.”
Xiao Jiang Tang squatted down and covered Hei Yanquan’s mouth, “Shh.”
Hei Yanquan licked her palm, and Xiao Jiang Tang giggled and pulled her hand back.
In the bedroom, Jiang Ci was lazily lying down, and the door was pushed open a crack.
Xiao Jiang Tang, who had tied her hair in a bun, sneaked in with Hei Yanquan following closely behind. Both of their warm bodies pounced on Jiang Ci.
“Mama… I miss you so much,” Xiao Jiang Tang whispered.
Jiang Ci sat up against the bed and lifted Xiao Jiang Tang onto the bed, then picked up Black Circles and placed him on the other side, “Where are you missing Mama?”
Xiao Jiang Tang patted her chest, “Here.”
Her facial features were quite similar to Lu Xingxue’s, and looking at her was like seeing Lu Xingxue when she was a child. Jiang Ci smiled and leaned in as if listening to Xiao Jiang Tang’s heartbeat, “I can hear it!”
Xiao Jiang Tang lowered her head and whispered in Jiang Ci’s ear, “Mama, are you really dizzy?”
Jiang Ci: “…”
“Are you trying to deceive Mommy to make her feel sorry for you?” Xiao Jiang Tang spoke in a knowing tone, her watery eyes flickering. “Today, I lied to Mommy that my stomach hurt, and she felt sorry for me and took me to eat the milk pudding made by Grandma Yun.”
Jiang Ci had already learned the whole story from Lu Xingxue, but still pretended to be surprised, “So, you were lying…”
Xiao Jiang Tang quickly covered Jiang Ci’s mouth and puffed her cheeks. “I’m telling you secretly. Can you keep it a secret?”
Jiang Ci pretended to be serious, “Can’t lie when you know you’re a little liar, right?”
Xiao Jiang Tang hung her head and looked up at Jiang Ci with guilty eyes, “Will you tell Mommy?”
Jiang Ci didn’t answer her and fell into deep thought, as she stroked Hei Yanquan’s smooth fur.
Xiao Jiang Tang held Jiang Ci’s face and kissed her with her small mouth. “Mama, Mama! Don’t tell Mommy, I won’t do it again.”
Jiang Ci was about to burst out laughing when Lu Xingxue walked in, seeing Xiao Jiang Tang holding onto Jiang Ci and acting spoiled. Lu Xingxue waved to her and spoke softly, “Xiao Jiang Tang, it’s time to take a bath and go to bed.”
“Okay…” Xiao Jiang Tang was still reluctant and kept turning back as she walked away.
Jiang Ci made an “OK” gesture to her, and Xiao Jiang Tang received the signal and happily ran towards Lu Xingxue.
Lu Xingxue and Jiang Ci smiled at each other knowingly.
After Xiao Jiang Tang fell asleep, Lu Xingxue went back to her room while Jiang Ci, wearing a light sleepwear, stood by the window and answered the phone. From the conversation, it seemed that there were some problems with the cooperation between the lawyer who had taken over her work after recovering from an illness and the pianist. Jiang Ci was communicating with both parties.
Lu Xingxue hugged her from behind, and the two cuddled together. Outside the window, the courtyard was quiet, and the autumn was getting stronger.
