I Became Love Rivals With My Crush Ch.22

“Call her Martial Aunt”

As Su Lingyu’s words resounded, it felt like a stone had been dropped into the water, creating countless ripples.

Not to mention the surprised expressions of A Yiduo and Yue Xiaomeng, even Qu Panyan herself was stunned.

Martial, martial aunt???

What does that mean?!

Su Lingyu tilted her head slightly and said, “Wasn’t I clear enough when I spoke to Lou Wuhua? You will be my disciple for three months.”

“In that case, naturally, you are their martial aunt.”

Qu Panyan was dazed for a moment. She originally thought that her three months at Xianmeng Sect would be similar to her time at Cangnan Sect, where she would study under the guidance of the elders, not directly under the Sect Master.

For her, being able to stay here was good enough; she didn’t even dare to think about becoming a true disciple!

Never in her wildest dreams did she expect that Su Lingyu would really want to take her as a disciple. Su Lingyu’s disciple, how many people in the world longed for such a title…

Elder Changxing arrived leisurely following the commotion. As soon as he arrived, he heard Su Lingyu say, “In that case, naturally, you are their martial aunt.” Elder Changxing was taken aback for a moment, then looked at the young girl behind Su Lingyu, and without hesitation, he called out, “Junior sister?”

Qu Panyan: “…” Elder, you’re getting into character way too quickly, aren’t you?!

Qu Panyan clasped her hands and said, “Greetings, senior brother.”

Su Lingyu looked at A Yiduo.

A Yiduo stood with her hands on her hips, stubbornly saying, “I won’t call her that!”

Su Lingyu half-lowered her eyes and issued a warning sound, “Hmm?”

Yue Xiaomeng saw that the atmosphere was tense so she whispered, “Senior sister, just call her that. Don’t upset the Sect Master…”

A Yiduo snorted, “She’s not worthy of being my martial aunt!”

Not worthy?

Qu Panyan was recognized as an outstanding disciple by their own Sect Master. What’s not worthy about her?

Su Lingyu gripped the hilt of her sword with both hands, standing tall and majestic, her imposing demeanor hard to resist. Yue Xiaomeng felt that the surrounding temperature seemed to drop a bit. Su Lingyu then spoke slowly, “As the Sect Master of Xianmeng Sect, it’s up to me to decide whether she’s worthy of being my disciple or not. As a disciple, you have no right to question me.”

My disciple…

Qu Panyan held her flushed face, feeling her heart pounding in her chest. She lifted her eyes, her fluttering eyelashes trembling slightly, reflecting Su Lingyu’s figure.

Her slender figure wrapped in a golden silk dress coupled with a red jade belt outlining her slender waist; together, they accentuated her graceful figure. Her long black hair cascaded down her back, further accentuating the pale neck that was even whiter than snow.

She was so beautiful, almost like a dream, unreal and ethereal.

Such a celestial being just said, “My disciple.”

Even if it didn’t mean what Qu Panyan hoped for, she felt extremely delighted, and her heart was like a deer in love, running wild.

But A Yiduo still refused to address her. She was dissatisfied, as she had wanted to become Su Lingyu’s disciple and have a closer relationship with her. Little did she expect that Su Lingyu would refuse to accept her, and now she even accepted someone else!

That dishwashing girl not only had her head touched by Su Lingyu, but now she had also become her disciple. How could she swallow this humiliation!

Elder Changxing calmly said, “A Yiduo, don’t be childish. Show respect to your master and don’t upset the Sect Master. Otherwise, if she gets angry and expels you from Xianmeng Sect, you won’t have a chance to regret it.”

“But…but how can I compare myself to her!” A Yiduo protested, “I am a Holy Child, capable of using Heavenly Fire, which can bring more benefits to Xianmeng Sect. She can’t do that, so how could she stay while I’m expelled…”

Su Lingyu showed impatience in her eyes, “Do you think that becoming a Holy Child means everyone has to give in to you?”

A Yiduo raised her head confidently, “that’s how it should be!”

The Heavenly Fire is a divine flame, and being a Holy Child who possessed it was undoubtedly the most esteemed person in the world!

Su Lingyu turned to Ba Tu and Wu Yi, saying, “It’s the responsibility of your Skyfire Tribe for spoiling her like this.”

Heavenly Fire had its own divinity, and very few people in this world could integrate and nurture it. Anyone attempting to do so would be ultimately consumed and killed by the backlash. Thus, the Skyfire Tribe was devoted to Holy Children who could integrate and nurture Heavenly Fire, offering almost unconditional obedience.

However, this excessive devotion had led A Yiduo, the future Saintess, to go completely astray. After becoming a Holy Child, everyone in the tribe treated her with the utmost reverence. She got whatever she wanted and killed whomever she disliked, placing herself in the most prestigious position.

Growing up in such an environment of excessive reverence and worship, she gradually developed the ridiculous delusion of grandeur that “everyone else is insignificant, only I am the most noble.”

Su Lingyu wasn’t sure if all previous Holy Children were like this, but she knew that if A Yiduo continued with this temperament, she would eventually bring harm to others and herself.

She was now even willing to kill fellow disciples, so what else wouldn’t she dare to do?

This was what gave Su Lingyu an ominous premonition, and when she headed back following her intuition, she discovered that Qu Panyan was in mortal danger. However, upon careful consideration, Qu Panyan would be her disciple for the next three months, and it made sense that she, as the Master, was able to sense any danger to her disciples.

Thus, she became even more certain that her previous ominous premonitions were indeed about her disciples’ life-threatening situations. She couldn’t help but feel that heavenly will was absurd—with thousands of disciples in the Xianmeng Sect, did that mean she had to rush over to save each one whenever something happened to them?!

Wu Yi spoke up and advised, “Lady A Yiduo, I suggest you respect the rules of the outside world, respect Sect Master Su, and respect Elder Changxing.”

A Yiduo, seeing that even Wu Yi was not supporting her, turned to look at Ba Tu. But to her surprise, Ba Tu, who had always been accommodating, also agreed, “She’s right.”

Finally, A Yiduo reluctantly suppressed her identity and begrudgingly called out, “Martial Aunt.”

Qu Panyan was ecstatic and immediately responded, “Hey, good Niece!”

A Yiduo was so angry that her mouth twisted, “You!”

Su Lingyu, standing in front of Qu Panyan, asked, “Hmm?”

A Yiduo became hesitant once again.

Su Lingyu solemnly said, “I need to leave the sect for a while. The elders will supervise you. No one is allowed to cause trouble within the sect. Offenders will be punished at the Thousand Thunder Platform!”

Elder Changxing smiled slightly to indicate that he understood, and then Su Lingyu vanished in a flash of light.

Yue Xiaomeng comforted A Yiduo a few words and then went to find Qu Panyan, only to see her standing there blankly, as if her soul had left her body. Yue Xiaomeng gently nudged her, “Qu Panyan, or should I say, Martial Aunt Qu? What’s wrong with you?”

Qu Panyan turned her head stiffly towards her and asked, “About that Thousand Thunder Platform she mentioned…”

Yue Xiaomeng explained, “Oh, that? It’s a dark space used for punishment where people are subjected to the pain of being struck by a thousand thunderbolts. Xianmeng Sect uses it to discipline those who violate the sect’s rules.”

A thousand thunderbolts…

Thunder…

For her, these words were a devastating blow. Because what she feared most was thunder!

Qu Panyan was determined to behave herself during the next three months, to abide by the rules of Xianmeng Sect, to be a model disciple, and to stay far away from the Thousand Thunder Platform.

After Su Lingyu had gone far away, Elder Changxing looked at the young disciples present, particularly focusing on his two disciples. He kindly advised, “Work hard in your cultivation and strive to address her as ‘Grand Master’ as soon as possible. Be careful not to anger her again; if she throws you out of Xianmeng Sect next time, even I won’t be able to save you.”

Yue Xiaomeng raised her hand and said, “Master, the Sect Master asked me to accompany Martial Aunt in getting familiar with Xianmeng Sect. I haven’t finished that yet.”

Elder Changxing nodded, “Then go ahead. If you need anything, call me or the other elders.”

Yue Xiaomeng replied, “Yes yes! Understood!”

A Yiduo glared at Qu Panyan with hatred, her gaze like a sharp knife, as if she could skin her alive.

Qu Panyan remained calm and ignored her hostile stare. If they started fighting again, she would have to call Su Lingyu back, and everyone would be in trouble. Thinking about the Thousand Thunder Platform, Qu Panyan silently recited three times in her mind: I love peace.

But… how did Su Lingyu know that she was in danger and come back just in time?

Was it a premonition?

Do the so-called near-god realm people comprehend the Will of Heaven?

Otherwise how could Su Lingyu arrive at her destination so accurately every time?

Could it be that the Will of Heaven not only predicted accurately but also helped with locating?

As Qu Panyan had not reached the realm of near-gods, she couldn’t make sense of it all and could only silently admire the greatness of Heaven’s Will.

Following Yue Xiaomeng to continue getting familiar with Xianmeng Sect, but just as soon as she lifted her foot, a dazzling white light suddenly flew towards her, accompanied by a strong killing intent. Alarm bells rang in her mind, and she swiftly reacted, raising her palm to unleash a surge of true energy to defend herself.

The two forces collided fiercely in mid-air, creating a deafening roar and sending powerful shockwaves in all directions.

Qu Panyan stabilized her stance, her sleeves fluttering in the wind. She didn’t need to face a second attack, but instead received a rather satisfied comment from Elder Changxing, “Not bad for a young girl.”

Qu Panyan respectfully clasped her hands and said, “Thank you, Senior Brother, for your guidance.”

Elder Changxing waved his hand dismissively, “Go on, go on.”

Qu Panyan then followed Yue Xiaomeng and left.

Yue Xiaomeng led Qu Panyan around, stopping occasionally to give her a detailed introduction to everything. Qu Panyan watched and memorized everything carefully, taking note of various details.

When the two of them reached the last lotus pond, they happened to see several Xianmeng Sect disciples sitting together, with a handsome and charming young man at the center, fanning himself with a folding fan.

He spoke eloquently and found ways to compliment people’s looks, effortlessly making the female disciples around him blush with delight.

Yue Xiaomeng said he ranked sixteenth in the sect and was called Zhong Ming.

One of the female disciples asked, “So, do you think we are beautiful, or is our Sect Master’s love rival more beautiful?”

Qu Panyan: “…?” What does this have to do with me?

I should be paid if you want to get me involved in this.

Yue Xiaomeng felt it was inappropriate and was about to speak up, but Qu Panyan stopped her.

Zhong Ming fanned himself and smiled mischievously as he countered, “What do you think?”

The female disciples started arguing back and forth.

“Nowadays, everyone is praising her peerless beauty, even overshadowing our sect master.”

“No matter how attractive someone’s appearance is, if they snatch someone else’s Dao companion, they will be truly ugly on the inside.”

“She’s truly a woman with a wicked heart. Why would she want to steal someone else’s Dao companion? Her elder sister, the head of the Qu family, is a close friend of our Sect Master, so that is truly embarrassing”

“Yes, exactly! She has no shame!”

“I think our Sect Master is the most beautiful. Qu Panyan, that vixen, can’t compare!”

Yue Xiaomeng’s expression grew increasingly unpleasant. It had been a month, and she had even defended Qu Panyan in the sect, saying she wasn’t a bad woman. How come there were still people who refused to listen and insisted on spreading gossip?

Now, she ran into the person directly involved!

Little did she know that Qu Panyan beside her chuckled softly and echoed, “This junior sister is right. Our Sect Master is the most beautiful.”

“Qu Panyan can’t compare,” Qu Panyan herself added with a smile.
