I Became Love Rivals With My Crush Ch.60

Aaaaaand another one. As always, thank you all for the support!

Qu Panyan suddenly appeared behind him and softly reminded, “Villain, death by excessive talking.”

Why is it that those who play the villains just don’t seem to understand this enlightening saying?

Qu Panyan thought this way, then slightly stepped aside, while a burst of frosty air passed in front of her.

Yuan Qijun lowered his head incredulously, watching as the Thousand Frost Sword pierced through his chest. The sword was incredibly sharp, with a dazzling and intimidating cold light. Crimson blood slowly dripped along the straight blade, blooming into eerie blood-colored flowers on the ground.

The Thousand Frost Sword had struck him, this time directly hitting his most vulnerable spot—the heart.

Su Lingyu gently swept her two fingers, and the Thousand Frost Sword sliced through Yuan Qijin’s flesh, retracting from his body. She swung her long sleeve, and the defensive formation disappeared instantly. It was never a real defensive formation; it was just a small spell Qu Panyan used to deceive Yuan Qijun.

She had already seen through Qu Panyan when she first appeared; that was not her true self but merely an illusion created by the Fire Bell Silk.

Qu Panyan wouldn’t behave like an adorable puppy, leaning in to nuzzle her when she raised her hand at such a critical moment. The only one who would do that is Qu Panyan’s Fire Bell Silk—back on the day when she reprimanded Wu Paiyun, the Fire Bell Silk also nuzzled her hand like that.

Yuan Qijun’s eyes widened, his eyeballs almost popping out of their sockets. Veins bulged on his forehead, and blood kept pouring out of his mouth as he fell backward stiffly.

Qu Panyan quickly retreated to give him space as he fell to the ground.

Blood continued to flow from his chest, and his gaze at Qu Panyan was full of malevolence and resentment. Even the sound he made was hoarse and unpleasant, as if soaked in venom: “You little waste… Do you think it’s over just like this?”

Qu Panyan couldn’t help but sneer, knowing well that Yuan Qijun was just bluffing. He was at the end of his wit, with no chance of survival. He was completely finished and utterly powerless against anyone.

They were the winners, regardless of the means used in the confrontation.

But dealing with this kind of maniac, Qu Panyan didn’t feel any shame in cheating.

Physical strength alone wasn’t enough to defeat him, so she had to rely on wit, take advantage of his weakness, and take his life!

She stood with her hands behind her back, slightly bending down to look at him, and asked in return, “Do you think it’s over just like this?”

“Do you know why I didn’t use other spells against you?” She smiled, raising her two palms, from which suddenly emerged two dazzling crimson flames. “Because I wanted you to look down on me, treat me like a little waste.”

Underestimating the enemy and believing the enemy’s words are both the most deadly mistakes.

Qu Panyan flipped her right hand, and the flames in her palm fell to the ground, instantly becoming more fierce, spreading like a wildfire, rushing towards the surrounding Yin soldiers unstoppably.

Wherever the flames passed, only a pile of ashes remained, leaving no trace that could withstand a gust of wind.

“You’ve lost, according to the agreement, you should leave obediently.” She smiled and threw the flames in her left hand at him, and even the Fire Bell Silk that tightly bound him emitted a dazzling and scorching light. She looked at Yuan Qijun’s contorted face and continued, “Leave this mortal realm obediently, and don’t ever come back.”

Killing a maniac like Yuan Qijun couldn’t be as simple as stabbing his heart, she had to offer him a complete cremation service to ensure he died thoroughly, with no possibility of resurrection.

Burning in the intense flames, the smell of charred flesh filled his nostrils, yet his limbs were restrained, rendering him powerless to resist. In this helpless state, Yuan Qijun suddenly had a glimpse of what it felt like to be killed by someone else.

His victims were the same, unable to escape or hide, helplessly and hopelessly murdered by him, and some were even tortured to death before being turned into Yin soldiers. Whether in life or death, they were just mere toys, being tormented in his palm.

The only difference was that they would scream in pain, but he wouldn’t, or rather, he couldn’t anymore. The process of turning himself into a Yin soldier was like descending into hell, his body and mind torn apart by countless ghosts, and the darkness in front of him seemed boundless. That was the most desperate and painful part—yet he endured it, enduring it for the sake of Su Lingyu, so what did this little blaze mean to him now?

The air was filled with the smell of burning flesh, but Yuan Qijun remained silent, his resentful gaze fixed on Qu Panyan, like a venomous snake ready to strike back at any moment.

He simply couldn’t accept it. It should be him toying with others, how could he let others toy with him?

This little waste dared to snatch away the person he loved. She should be torn to pieces by him, how could she stand there and burn him with fire instead!

He struggled to open his mouth, his throat feeling unbearable, already damaged by the flames. But even so, he was unwilling to give up. He wanted to curse at this little waste again, yet before a single word could escape, a foot stomped down fiercely, forcefully silencing him.

Before the raging flames consumed his vision, he saw Qu Panyan’s face was cold and indifferent. He faintly heard her say, “Don’t speak, just die quietly.”

You killed so many people and hurt my celestial sister, and you have the audacity wanting to express your “last words”?!

Drop dead right where you stand!

Under the merciless crimson flames, the sins were swallowed, and the world fell silent. No one interrupted or opposed this punishment, even the few disciples of the Xianmeng Sect who arrived later kept their silence in tacit agreement.

The Sect Master’ wife stepped on the last remaining thing left by the culprit and turned around to look at the others. Her eyes were as cold as frost, her expression indifferent, showing no trace of pity, like an unfeeling enforcer of justice. But when she looked at the Sect Master, Su Lingyu, a touch of radiance suddenly appeared in her eyes.

She hurriedly walked over, gently holding Su Lingyu’s bloodied hands, looking at the shocking redness and bloodstains all over her body. She felt heartbroken.

Su Lingyu watched the other person lower her head, gently wiping the blood off her hands. After a moment, a crystal-clear teardrop fell into her palm.

Her heart tightened, and she was about to say something, but her little beloved wife raised her sleeve and wiped away the tears herself. Then, she turned around and walked towards Yuan Qijun’s ashes. She stomped on it fiercely a few times, delivered a few kicks, and then slammed her palm down. The ground instantly collapsed, and the ashes scattered, as if she wanted to scatter Yuan Qijun’s remains to the wind.

She returned to Su Lingyu and tugged at her sleeve, saying in a muffled voice, “Let’s go back to the medical pavilion for treatment.”

Su Lingyu, seeing her in a bad mood, didn’t refute her and just softly responded, “Okay, I’ll listen to Yan’er.”

With Yuan Qijun dead and the threat eliminated, the disciples stayed behind to handle the aftermath.

It had been a long time since the medical pavilion master had seen Su Lingyu sustain such severe injuries. Not only her hand but also her heart and lungs were affected. It would require a long period of rest for a thorough recuperation; furthermore, she shouldn’t touch a sword for a while.

Su Lingyu’s breath was steady, nodding and saying, “I’ve noted it, thank you, Elder Qing.”

The medical pavilion master shook his head, expressing politeness, and personally brought some medicinal herbs, handing them to Qu Panyan. He asked her to apply the herbs to Su Lingyu’s wounds and then bandage them.

Qu Panyan silently took the herbs, nodding in response.

The medical pavilion master sensed something and left with everyone else, giving them some private space.

Qu Panyan sat in front of Su Lingyu, wordlessly applying the medicine, while Su Lingyu looked at her, and the silence in the air felt suffocating.

Su Lingyu’s lips moved, breaking the silence, “Is Yan’er angry with Sister Lingyu?”

Qu Panyan kept her head down while applying the medicine, unwilling to look up, and replied, “No.”

Su Lingyu was certain that she was angry.

She had promised that nothing would happen to her, yet here she was, sitting in front of her covered in severe wounds. She had made it clear that if Su Lingyu couldn’t keep her promises, she would get angry.

Su Lingyu’s tone softened with guilt, and she leaned closer to her, speaking sincerely, “Yan’er, I’m sorry, Sister Lingyu was wrong. I promise you that there won’t be a next time, okay?”

She couldn’t stand seeing Yan’er in this gloomy state, and she couldn’t forget the teardrop that fell in her palm earlier.

She hoped that her Yan’er would always be happy when they were together, rather than worrying and shedding tears because of her. This was not the life she wanted to give her.

Qu Panyan’s hand froze for a moment while applying the medicine, then she continued slowly and delicately. She meticulously covered every wound with the cool herbal ointment, being extremely gentle and careful, afraid of causing her any pain.

But she didn’t respond to her words.

Su Lingyu clasped the hand that was applying the medicine, forcing her to stop, then she lifted Yan’er’s face to meet her gaze. She saw Yan’er’s beautiful, shining eyes brimming with tears, and her eye sockets were slightly red.

She was holding back from crying.

Having her holding-back tears discovered by her beloved made Qu Panyan’s emotions immediately chaotic. The feeling of grievance intensified in that moment, and she couldn’t hold back any longer.

Tears uncontrollably rolled down her eyes, she looked at Su Lingyu, though she desperately tried to restrain herself, her voice still sounded choked, “It’s all my fault…”

“If only I were stronger… This wouldn’t have happened…”

She had never blamed Su Lingyu; she had always blamed herself.

Whenever she was in mortal danger, Su Lingyu always managed to protect her unscathed. But when Su Lingyu was in danger…she couldn’t keep her unharmed

Seeing Su Lingyu covered in injuries, an indescribable discomfort and self-reproach filled her heart.

If only she were stronger, if only she were a high-level cultivator, then Su Lingyu wouldn’t have to endure these sufferings…

Su Lingyu’s heart softened instantly. She wanted to raise her hand to wipe away Yan’er’s tears, but she remembered her own injuries. Afraid that Yan’er would feel even sadder if she saw them, she lowered her head and gently kissed the tear at the corner of her eye, tenderly and affectionately comforting her.

“Why would Yan’er blame herself?” Su Lingyu’s eyes were filled with doting love, “Yan’er also saved Sister Lingyu.”

Qu Panyan’s lips couldn’t help but quiver downwards, her eyes glistening with tears, and her voice carried a hint of sobbing, “But Sister Lingyu was injured…”

Su Lingyu smiled gently, kissing her at the corners of her eyes again and again, then pulling her into her embrace while saying, “In a duel, accidents and injuries are inevitable. I can stand so high naturally because I’ve suffered my fair share of injuries, as have other sect masters and elders. Yan’er doesn’t need to worry too much.”

Their glory, status, and reputation were never earned without facing adversity. For these high-ranking individuals, getting injured was a trivial matter so that they could stay alive—as long as they were alive, they were winners.

Qu Panyan nervously grabbed onto Su Lingyu’s clothes, crying even harder, “I don’t want it! I don’t want Sister Lingyu to get hurt!”

Even though she knew that these people at the pinnacle were no longer afraid of injuries, some even treated them with a casual attitude as having meals, she didn’t want Su Lingyu to suffer any wounds on her body.

No one could remain indifferent when their beloved was in danger.

Su Lingyu immediately patted her back and comforted, “Alright, alright, Sister Lingyu won’t get hurt anymore. Yan’er, be good, don’t cry.”

Qu Panyan continued crying, her tearful appearance looked heartbreakingly sad, but she didn’t forget to apply medicine to Su Lingyu. So, while sobbing, she also tended to Su Lingyu’s wounds.

Her pitiful yet adorable appearance managed to make Su Lingyu laugh, helplessly indulging her and sighing with affection.

Her Yan’er was truly endearing, like a hidden treasure such that she was so reluctant to show her to the world.

Su Lingyu said lovingly, “Yan’er, look up.”

Qu Panyan obediently raised her head to look at Su Lingyu, and then her lips were sealed in a kiss.

She could clearly feel that Su Lingyu desired her more than ever before. She even began to wonder if they could smoothly complete their life’s harmony under these circumstances.

But Su Lingyu’s injuries coupled with her rationality prompted her to put on the brakes in time. Unprecedentedly, she took the initiative to avoid Su Lingyu’s affectionate advances, pretending not to notice her own blushing. With a serious tone, she said, “Applying medicine!”

Su Lingyu smiled faintly and cooperatively extended her hand, “Hmm, applying medicine.”

Qu Panyan lowered her head, applying the medicine while cursing Yuan Qijun in her heart.

Damn, this meddling scumbag who ruined other people’s harmonious family life!!!

Just then, a tightly closed door was knocked, and a voice came from outside, “Ling’er has come to help.”

Qu Panyan and Su Lingyu exchanged glances. Qu Panyan remembered how Ling’er had helped Kang Congshuang when she fell ill, and immediately became energized. She quickly tidied herself up and cleared her throat, then calmly went to open the door, welcoming Ling’er inside.

Once Ling’er came in, she glanced up and noticed Qu Panyan’s reddened eyes, “Have you been crying?”

She then turned to look at Su Lingyu and spoke with righteousness, “You can’t bully people!”
