Grab The Heroine and Run Away Ch.21.2

The remaining six days passed in torment. On a clear and cloudless Saturday morning, the seventy trainees walked into the training camp’s main hall with heavy steps.

“Everyone, please sit in the same team as the previous performance, seven people in a row!” a staff member announced through a megaphone.

Xu Heran’s hands were trembling. She hugged each of her teammates from Team Ten, and finally stuck close to Xin Nuo. She kept saying, “I’m so nervous, can I make it, can I make it!”

Xin Nuo gently stroked her back and whispered, “You can, trust me.”

Xu Heran lifted her head and looked into Xin Nuo’s eyes.

The dense, pitch-black eyelashes delicately converged beneath the eyelids. Xin Nuo’s jet-black pupils looked at her firmly. The gentle color of her eyes resembled an eternal night sky, a spring hidden in a tranquil wilderness, a gem buried in the depths, eternal and pure.

Xu Heran’s wildly beating heart gradually calmed under the soothing gaze, and the two of them leaned against each other, their heartbeats behind their chests seeming to synchronize into a unified rhythm at this moment, beating slowly and solidly, “thump, thump, thump.”

I can do it!

Xu Heran clenched her fist, sat down behind Xin Nuo, her back against Jiang Qiong, and then Jian Yueyin, Song Fenghua, and Laurel. Haya, the tall one, sat at the back.

As the last one in the third round of rankings, Jiang Qiong felt an eerie calmness. She even had a sense of things falling into place. Although she knew their stage performance was very good and they could compete for a higher ranking before the performance, it didn’t mean she wouldn’t be eliminated.

“I don’t care anyway, my luggage is packed.” Jiang Qiong muttered absentmindedly, her hands wrapped around her legs as she leaned back against Jian Yueyin’s legs.

Hearing the sound, Xu Heran turned around, her face still wearing that peculiar sense of calm, as she quietly looked at Jiang Qiong, making Jiang Qiong feel “creeped out.”

“Gan—”

“You won’t be eliminated!” Xu Heran suddenly said.

“What?…” Jiang Qiong’s words were interrupted by Xu Heran’s voice. She had countless question marks floating above her head.

???

“You can do it, trust me!” With a determined gaze, she stared at Jiang Qiong fiercely, even raising her hand and pointing her index and middle fingers to her eyes and then to Jiang Qiong.

“…………”

If she hadn’t just overheard Xin Nuo talking to Xu Heran, she would have been moved!

Jiang Qiong suddenly lost her anticipation for the ranking announcement. Angrily turning her head, she complained to Jian Yueyin, “Look at her!”

“It’s fine, it’s fine. She’s still young, forgive her.” Jian Yueyin brushed Jiang Qiong’s hair, “I’ve packed my luggage too—Xu Heran, turn your head back!”

Just as Xu Heran was about to say “You can do it, trust me,” she pouted and made an “Oh” sound, resting her chin on Xin Nuo’s shoulder.

A mischievous laugh.

Xin Nuo raised her hand helplessly, pinching her face, “You’re going to get it sooner or later.”

“Hmph, they can’t outrun me!” Xu Heran boasted proudly. Since deciding to exercise and strive to surpass Xin Nuo Nuo as soon as possible, she has been reporting to the gym every day.

Hearing this, Xin Nuo glanced at her, not paying much attention. But suddenly, she noticed something strange. Xin Nuo exclaimed, turned around, and held Xu Heran’s face as she looked left and right.

“What’s wrong?” Xu Heran obediently shook her head left and right following Xin Nuo’s guidance.

“Xu Xu, have you gained weight?” Xin Nuo said in surprise.

Xu Heran was taken aback, her eyes widened instantly.

What!

How could that be!

She worked so hard to exercise her body!

Jiang Qiong, behind the two of them, mockingly laughed, “She did gain weight! She’s been eating so much these past few days, like feeding a little pig.”

“Indeed.” Ever since they formed a team, their group had grown close, eating together often. Many people expressed approval of Xu Heran’s recent increase in food intake.

Xu Heran was suddenly alarmed, she nervously rubbed her face, then touched her stomach, “Am I really fat?”

Cameras make you look bigger anyway!

Seeing her genuinely worried, everyone reassured her, “No, not at all. You’re much better now than before. You used to be too thin; you look good now.”

“Really?” Xu Heran said with a touch of grievance.

“Really,” Xin Nuo nodded, “I think you look nice now.”

Xu Heran let out a sigh of relief.

At this moment, Haya, who was sitting at the back, piped up, “Is she going through a growth spurt?”

“Right now?” Laurel didn’t agree, “She’s already sixteen, and you think she’s still growing?”

“I didn’t believe I’d grow anymore after I turned sixteen.” Haya sadly covered her chest.

Song Fenghua, squeezed between the two of them, blinked and spoke in a cold tone, “Second puberty?”

Haya: “…”

Laurel: “…”

“Third pub—um.”

“Shh.” Haya covered Song Fenghua’s mouth to prevent her from making a sensational comment, “Shush, don’t speculate; they won’t air speculations.”

While everyone was chatting, the production team adjusted the camera positions, and a staff member raised a microphone, “Please be quiet, getting ready to record.”

The trainees obediently sat down quietly. The staff member responsible for the clapboard bowed and ran down. Dressed in a silver dress, with every hair in place, Ning Yunfei stepped elegantly into the hall, wearing high heels.

“Good morning, girls!” Ning Yunfei, a powerful vocalist, greeted with confidence.

“Hello, Sister Feifei!” The trainees shouted in unison.

“Ha…” Ning Yunfei suddenly sighed, glancing around at everyone’s faces, “Today is a special day, and I believe you all are prepared in your hearts.”

As her voice fell, some of the more fragile girls among the trainees immediately teared up.

“Seventy trainees will be narrowed down to forty-two. Their names are already sealed in envelopes in my hands,” Ning Yunfei raised her hand, holding a stack of pink envelopes. They were securely sealed, and even she didn’t know the selected names.

To ensure fairness, one of the means used was to lock the ranking information for the last three days of each weekly voting period. Fans could only infer the rankings of their favorite trainees but wouldn’t know the exact placements.

Even though it was a talent show vote, the production team managed to introduce the thrill of lottery drawings.

“Before announcing the selected names, I will reveal last week’s performance rankings. There were ten teams and ten thousand votes. The team with the most votes will receive a hundred thousand votes to be split evenly!” Ning Yunfei announced loudly.

“I’m so nervous…”

The trainees in the audience couldn’t help but lick their lips and clench their hands. Despite the cool temperature of the hall, they were still sweating from nervousness.

“Additionally, there’s another announcement: Trainee number fifty-nine, Xu Heran.” Ning Yunfei suddenly called out.

Xu Heran’s heart skipped a beat, and she stood up anxiously, “Here!”

“This week, you violated the rules by bringing outside food for your team members. Each member of your team will have ten thousand votes deducted,” Ning Yunfei said coldly.

“Ah…”

A surprised sigh spread among the trainees, and they frowned, looking at Xu Heran.

Among the nine groups, the girl sitting at the back lowered her head, tugged at the corner of her mouth, and a hint of smugness flashed in her eyes. Just as she was struggling to hide her smile, she suddenly felt someone looking at her. Xu Yanran raised her head and met a pair of cold eyes.

Song Fenghua had phoenix-like eyes, with slender eyelids that curved upward at the outer corners. Her icy gaze fell from those cold eyes, as if shards of ice-cold water were being poured over Xu Yanran, drenching the pride in her heart.

The girl, who rarely displayed emotions, became even more indifferent at this moment. She stared straight at Xu Yanran, her gaze unwavering until Xu Yanran’s face revealed panic, at which point she disdainfully looked away. They were in the tenth group, seated on the outermost edge, with the cameras controlled by the staff capturing their expressions dutifully.

In the frame, the girl’s half-face was as cold as snow, and she lazily shook her head in response to her companions’ inquiries.

Haya patted Song Fenghua’s shoulder.

“Deduct ten thousand votes.”

Xu Heran had already forgotten about this incident. Ever since she decided to debut with Xin Nuo, she had been thinking about how to gather votes for herself. When she suddenly heard the announcement, her eyes reddened instantly. She tilted her head back, blinked repeatedly, but couldn’t contain the warmth at the corners of her eyes.

She had initially thought about getting eliminated, so she decided to have a farewell meal with everyone. However, at this moment, she realized how foolish she had been – ten thousand votes.

Only after she had decided to continue her journey did she realize the significance of each and every vote.

“I’m sorry, I was in the wrong,” Xu Heran said slowly. “I apologize to everyone for my selfishness. I violated the rules and should have votes deducted. If possible, could you deduct only my votes?”

“These votes were given to me by the Star Makers, yet I, due to my desires, wasted them without cherishing them. It’s all my doing, and I’m willing to accept the punishment. However, my teammates violated the rules because of my proposal. I request that only my votes be deducted.”

“Wait a moment,” Jian Yueyin, who was sitting in the middle, suddenly stood up. She took the microphone from Xu Heran’s hand and smiled, “I remember, I am the captain of Team Ten.”

“As the captain, firstly, I agreed to this matter. Even if we have to choose one person to bear all the votes, it should be deducted from me,” Jian Yueyin said earnestly. “Secondly, this was a decision we seven made together. We should all bear the consequences. Regarding the punishment, we have no objections.”

“Team Ten!” Jian Yueyin suddenly shouted.

The five members who were originally sitting on the floor stood up.

“We apologize to the Star Makers who have supported us,” Jian Yueyin said, setting down the microphone.

All seven of them simultaneously bowed.

“We’re sorry, please forgive us!”

Ning Yunfei’s eyes showed surprise. The revelation of the rule violation had been a sudden announcement from the director. In other words, the actions of Team Ten were entirely voluntary. And hadn’t they only been teammates for two weeks?

In her heart, she sighed lightly for the unity and courage of these seven people.

“Each person deducts ten thousand votes, totaling seventy thousand votes. We have harmed at least ten thousand Star Makers who cheered for us. This is our biggest mistake. We promise that we will never again waste the feelings of any Star Maker,” Xin Nuo said.

Xu Heran lifted her head, looking at Xin Nuo. She sniffed and the hand that had fallen was held by Xin Nuo.

“You dummy, your nose is all red,” Xin Nuo said softly. She raised her hand, wiping away a tear from the corner of Xu Heran’s eye.

The members of Team Ten walked over, each of them rubbing Xu Heran’s head.

“Why are you crying? After elimination, I’ll take you out for hotpot. Ten meals’ worth,” Laurel said nonchalantly.

“Ugh… I don’t even want to eat hotpot for a whole year now!” Xu Heran said, moved and sad at the same time. But…

Having teammates from Team Ten was really great!

Being here was so wonderful.

After their emotions had calmed down, Ning Yunfei raised the microphone and smiled as she spoke, “You’ve noticed the most important point in the rules set by the program. As idols, you’ve received a lot of love from many people. Not letting down that affection and repaying it with stages worthy of that love is something idols should strive for. It’s not just Team Ten; for the other trainees here, the vote count is not only a determining factor for your advancement, but behind every vote is a fan’s expectation. Please don’t disappoint everyone and continue moving forward with passion and effort.”

“Yes!”

A resounding response echoed through the hall.

Ning Yunfei smiled elegantly. “Of course, the program also supports trainees in supervising each other. If you discover any violations, you can continue to report them.”

“?”

Her seemingly casual remark created a huge wave of discussion among the trainees.

What did she mean by “continue to report”?

So, was it not that Team Ten was caught secretly eating hotpot because the program’s nose was particularly keen, but rather because someone reported them?

This… what was going on? No wonder…

Someone rolled their eyes. This program was meant to be entertainment, after all. Even when they were trainees at the company, things hadn’t been this strict. The program staff turned a blind eye to many things as long as they didn’t deliberately do anything excessive in front of the camera. That’s why, up until now, except for Xu Heran demanding a recount, no one else had their votes deducted due to violations, let alone reporting.

Moreover, during the hotpot incident, more than half of Team Ten had gone to eat. The program had garnered three million views for its behind-the-scenes footage, and fans loved seeing the more relaxed, friendly interactions between them after the competition.

Because of the hotpot incident, the program even designated one day per week as a “release day,” where trainees could choose their own meals instead of eating at the cafeteria. After all, making a program wasn’t the same as running a school.

Xu Heran, who was sitting behind Xin Nuo, was momentarily stunned. She blinked her eyes and instinctively exclaimed, “Nuo Nuo, did you…”

Did you hear that?

They were actually reported—An image of a figure appeared in Xu Heran’s mind, and she furrowed her brows slightly.

“Hmm.” Xin Nuo turned her body to the side and smiled as she tidied Xu Heran’s hair. “It’s alright, we were the ones who made the mistake.”

“Hmm.” Xu Heran felt even worse, and she spoke softly, “I’m sorry, everyone.”

“By saying that, you actually make everyone feel uncomfortable. Didn’t you hear what Sister Yunfei said?” Xin Nuo patted Xu Heran’s head, allowing her to rest it on her shoulder. In the instant Xu Heran leaned forward, Xin Nuo’s gaze met with Song Fenghua’s. Their eyes locked, they nodded at each other, Xin Nuo’s smiling gaze dropped, and she instantly grew cold. Emotionlessly, she looked at the last girl of Team Nine.

Xu Heran didn’t raise her head, her fingers playing with the hem of her clothes, looking completely detached.

“Hmph.” Xin Nuo chuckled softly, a glint of darkness in her eyes. Her fingers played with Xu Heran’s hair, and she whispered softly.

“A little pearl all damp.”

So pitiful.

So adorable.

“Now, I will announce the performance rankings,” Ning Yunfei said.

The atmosphere in the hall, which had been subtly tense, instantly intensified. This was the moment of competition. Their eyes were fixed on Ning Yunfei’s fingers as she opened the envelope.

“Rustle…”

The envelope containing the performance rankings was blue, only one sheet of paper.

Ning Yunfei opened the stiff page, scanning it first.

“Hmm?” Ning Yunfei suddenly raised the microphone, looked at the crowd, her expression complex. “Unexpected and expected.”

“Ah ah ah… really want to know!” Many trainees nervously covered their hearts.

“What’s unexpected and expected?”

“Team Ten?”

“Team Ten’s ranking should be good; their stage was really great. That’s the expected part.”

“What’s unexpected then?”

Discussions buzzed throughout the room.

Team Ten’s seven members were equally nervous, except Xu Heran, who rested her head on Xin Nuo’s shoulder, her eyes lowered. Looking pitiful, she stared blankly at the ground, unable to muster any energy. The cameramen capturing the scene were charmed by her appearance and turned the camera her way from time to time. Later on, they even aimed the camera at Xu Heran’s face, hoping to catch her reaction.

Following her into the frame, Xin Nuo smiled helplessly.

“This is really…” Ning Yunfei shook her head, raised the microphone, and sighed. “Alright then, first up, Team One, 《Ding Dong》”

Teams One and Two let out shrieks of despair. They held onto each other’s hands, closed their eyes, and shouted, “I won’t listen, I don’t want to listen!”

People at the back quickly covered the ears of the screaming trainees.

“There are a total of ten thousand votes from the live performance, and each person can choose only one team,” Ning Yunfei’s expression turned serious and solemn. “Team One, performing the song 《Ding Dong》 live voting—”

“349 votes.”

“…”

The hopes of Team One had been dashed to ashes.

Silence filled the air.

“349?” Someone repeated incredulously, shocked into silence.

This is way too… few!

“Who’s in Team One?”

“Number six, Jing Rui… Jing Rui is crying, oh my.”

“Jing Rui lost a game, and the rankings of the teammates she chose weren’t very high, it seems like she was chosen for a head-to-head match.” Speaking of this, some people’s gazes turned towards Xin Nuo. Xin Nuo also lost in the game, and her team members’ rankings were similarly low.

“Team Two, performing the song 《Ding Dong》 live voting—”

Sasa, the leader of Team Two, clenched her fists nervously, ranking fifth currently.

“1025 votes,” Ning Yunfei said calmly.

“Ah…” Sasa’s shoulders slumped, she turned around and hugged her teammates. “Well done.”

Without hesitation, Ning Yunfei immediately announced the ranking of Team Two.

“Team Three, performing the song 《Snow》” Ning Yunfei raised her eyes and looked at the current first-place holder, Lin Weining.

Lin Weining sat up straight, her graceful neck resembling that of a swan.

“Live voting, 1102 votes.”

As Ning Yunfei’s voice fell, Lin Weining chuckled softly, shook hands with her teammates behind her, and then looked at Team Four beside her. “You all did great, but we won’t lose next time.”

Singing the same song, currently in seventh place, Mu Yueliang took a deep breath.

“Team Four, 1925 votes.”

“Yes!” Mu Yueliang clenched her fist. During training, she went against popular opinion and rearranged a gentle and lyrical song into a mournful melody. Their success paid off.

“Wow—”

“The current highest vote count!”

Ning Yunfei glanced at the card in her hand, maintaining her composure. “Team Three, performing the song 《Flower》 received 925 votes.”

“Team Six, 425 votes.”

Someone was calculating. Only four teams remained now, but the total vote count was still over four thousand.

“Team Four, performing the song 《Out of Control》received 235 votes.”

“Team Eight, 229 votes.”

These two teams were composed of the lowest-ranked trainees. They had a clear idea of their vote counts. Although they claimed not to be disappointed, a sigh escaped their hearts.

“Still over three thousand votes!” Someone exclaimed excitedly.

Sun Lingxi couldn’t help but take a deep breath, rubbing her palms on her knees.

“Team Five,” Ning Yunfei “ah”-ed, a hint of a smile flashed in her eyes. She deliberately paused, “Because Team Ten has a brand-new original song, if their performance is successful, the two participants in its production will each receive ten thousand votes—please look at the big screen.”

A face appeared on the big screen behind her.

Laurel was brushing her teeth with a mouthful of disdain, her eyes lifeless as she stared at the camera. Behind her, the dormitory was shrouded in darkness.

“?”

Laurel stared deadpan at the camera, raising an eyebrow.

A staff member whispered, “You woke up quite early.”

Laurel responded with two emotionless “heh heh” sounds. Couldn’t I open the door later?

The hall filled with friendly laughter.

Only Laurel stood there, arms crossed, gazing at the big screen, still with her deadpan expression.

“It’s like this, your team’s song is self-produced, right? You need to select two team members who made the greatest creative contributions. Who will you choose?”

Laurel, with a bare face, nonchalantly brushed her teeth in front of the camera. “Jian Yueyin.”

Jian Yueyin couldn’t hold back a smile.

“And the other one?” The staff member asked gently.

Laurel: “…”

Staff: “…”

Laurel: “…”

Suddenly, Laurel turned around, went to the restroom to rinse her mouth, and returned to grab a handful of her blonde hair. She honestly said, “I don’t know.”

Haya or Song Fenghua, that’s the question.

The staff member thought for a moment and said, “Can you tell us before noon today? Can you call Haya?”

After a while, Haya walked over with a staggered gait, rubbing her eyes sleepily. She propped the door open with her tall figure, casting a shadow. “What?”

She struggled to raise her eyes and met the dark camera.

Someone’s drowsiness instantly vanished.

“Gah—can’t film!” Haya slammed the door shut. “I’m not wearing makeup!”

The staff member who got the door slammed in their face: “…”

What kind of people are you all from Team Ten?

“Hurry up, who are you choosing!”

The staff member impatiently banged on the door.

“Yueyin, Yueyin Jian Yueyin!” Haya shouted through the door. “And our unparalleled and blossoming Little Fenghua~”

Song Fenghua turned around and high-fived Haya.

“I’m definitely choosing you,” Haya said with a cheerful smile. She casually raised an eyebrow and, by chance, saw a slender girl at the very front of the six rows. The girl stood upright, tilting her head and looking at the camera with an unconventional charm.

A gentle radiance shone upon her as if she alone were cherished, making the girl appear two shades fairer than those around her. Her smile was soft and radiant.

“Troublemaker,” Haya touched her nose.

“Oh, why did you make me choose? I don’t want to! Go away!”

In the camera, the girl in slippers dashed away like a wild horse, chased around the training camp by the staff member for two full laps. Finally, they both collapsed at the cafeteria entrance.

“Hurry, come on— you!” The young staff member in charge of the interview was about to be driven to tears, running until their chest hurt.

“Sis… Sister Yueyin!”

Jiang Qiong, dressed in pajamas featuring the image of The Flash, tightly closed her eyes, her hand hanging limply on the ground. A lone slipper lay deserted beneath the steps.

“And one more! Don’t die on me! Ah ah ah ah—say it before you die!”

Everyone in the hall was almost laughing to death at the girls from Team Ten, feeling immense sympathy for the staff member kneeling beside Jiang Qiong, almost in tears.

Jiang Qiong, looking weak, raised a fist towards the girl who stood in the director’s team, rolling her eyes.

Song Fenghua summed it up succinctly, “Jian Yueyin, Haya.”

Haya hugged Song Fenghua tightly.

Jian Yueyin, unsurprisingly, chose Haya and Song Fenghua.

At this moment, the camera switched, revealing a pair of beautiful eyes looking into the lens. The owner of the eyes stepped back and smiled at the camera.

“Ah…”

Sighs of admiration echoed throughout the hall, countless inner exclamations of surprise.

Xin Nuo, you’re really good-looking.

The girl without makeup appeared as if a blank space in a landscape painting, her features delicate and picturesque. Her deep black eyes were like ink jade immersed in a cold pool. She softly repeated the staff member’s question and then said, “Definitely choosing Yueyin first.”

“As for the other one… well.” Xin Nuo furrowed her brow in distress.

The staff member felt sorry and positioned themselves on one side, while a cameraman blocked the other side, making sure she wouldn’t escape.

Can’t let her run again.

“Alright, let’s ask Xu Xu.” Xin Nuo suddenly suggested.

She took the camera from the cameraman’s hand, covered the lens with one hand, turned, and walked toward the door.

At this moment, everyone realized, what a pair, these two are living together again!

“Hey~”

Amidst playful banter, suggestive glances were cast towards Xin Nuo and Xu Heran. People quickly noticed that Xu Heran was still leaning on Xin Nuo’s shoulder, wearing the same listless expression. Her eyelashes drooped, and she lazily raised her gaze only when she heard Xin Nuo’s voice from the big screen.

“So cute!” Someone covered their mouth excitedly and whispered.

Lin Weining suddenly realized, she finally understood why everyone used to tease Xin Nuo and Xu Heran. So, it turns out… there were so many hidden connections in the training camp!

In the video, Xin Nuo moved her hand away from the camera, and the room appeared somewhat dark. Xu Heran’s head was buried in a soft pillow. After being called by Xin Nuo a couple of times, she made humming sounds and covered her head with a blanket.

“Don’t fall asleep, I need to ask you something.” Xin Nuo knelt on the bed, and the camera was aimed at the fluffy head peeking out from under the soft covers.

Xu Heran was very sleepy, her eyelids glued shut. She tightly clutched the blanket, and whenever Xin Nuo touched her, she would make those humming sounds.

“I look so dumb.” Xu Heran said discontentedly.

Xin Nuo lifted her head, smiling while looking at the big screen. She blinked her eyes, her lips slightly parted. A hand suddenly extended from behind her, covering her mouth. Xu Heran imitated her tone in a complaining manner, “Just looking dumb now?”

The person whose mouth was forcibly covered narrowed their eyes, and gentle affection flowed in their eyes as they looked at Xu Heran, maintaining an innocent expression while locking gazes.

“Hmm?” Xin Nuo tilted her head, as if saying, “I didn’t say that, you admitted it yourself.”

Xu Heran huffed and raised her chin, looking back at the big screen. However, the hand that was placed on Xin Nuo’s shoulder remained where it was.

In the video, the girl who had been struggling and playfully tugging at the covers with Zhou Gong clearly seemed extremely sleepy. Xin Nuo repeated the question twice before she made a soft sound, barely lifting her eyes a crack.

“Choose… Sister Yueyin.” The voice of the still groggy girl was soft and sweet. As one of the younger trainees in the training camp, it’s no wonder everyone added “little” before her name every day.

“And one more.” Xin Nuo’s voice was gentle. “Is it Haya or Fenghua?”

“Um…”

The person under the covers didn’t move, lying still. Xin Nuo raised an eyebrow, tapped her blanket first, but when she pretended to be asleep, Xin Nuo simply lifted the blanket.

Someone’s hands were crossed over their stomach, sleeping peacefully.

Calm.jpg.

Xin Nuo sat down with her legs crossed, leaning close to Xu Heran’s face through the camera. “Don’t pretend to sleep, your eyes are moving. Come on, tell everyone quickly, between Haya and Fenghua, who do you like more?”

What a deathtrap of a question…

Xu Heran indicated that she was absolutely dead and asked not to be bothered.

But Xin Nuo didn’t let her go. She leaned in, her slender back arching like a thin bow. Xin Nuo continued to ask with a smile, as if she wouldn’t let Xu Heran off the hook without an answer, “Which sister do you like the most—”

The person on the bed exerted force from her abdomen, instantly springing up. Beneath the tousled golden-brown hair, her blue-purple eyes sparkled, devoid of any sleepiness. Xu Heran pounced towards Xin Nuo.

The white sheets billowed, resembling white ink spilled in water, blooming and swirling in the air, everything in the room spinning in the line of sight.

The portrait of a Western beauty hanging on the wall above the bed gazed back gently, meeting the entranced dark eyes.

Xin Nuo’s gaze shifted back to the bed. Her body swayed with the mattress’s bounce, complex yet serene.

The camera entwined with the sheets, the voices of the two girls came through the covers, still clear.

Who do you like?

The morning breeze swept across the bed, mingling the lingering scent of roses with sweet oranges. The fusion was intricate, permeating the soft bedding, suffused with the sun’s aroma.

The girl sitting across Xin Nuo’s waist swayed her long hair with a satisfied air. One hand tightly held onto her delicate wrist, her gaze from above, slowly licking her lightly tinted lips.

A smile fell deep into the starry river.

“Why ask me such a question? Doesn’t Nuo Nuo know?” The young and tender girl seemed to press a long-awaited switch at this moment, like a young wolf that had just caught its prey for the first time, proudly and joyfully whispering to the prey.

“It’s obvious. I like Sister Nuo Nuo the most.”
