The Players And The Protagonist Want To Kill Me – Volume 1, Chapter 22
Chapter 22: About the Lord Being Kidnapped by the Tauren
“Did you hear? The Lord has recruited a group of Tauren who are three meters tall! The axes in their hands are as tall as a person! (°ー°〃)”
“Hey! Do you know? Our Lord is leading a group of Tauren to patrol the castle, and the axes in the Tauren’s hands are three meters long! (○′?д?)?”
“Oh my gods! Guess what I heard? A group of super Tauren with arms three meters long tied our Lord to their axes! w(?Д?)w”
…
In Winterkeep’s training ground, Clement, who had already recovered, was carefully wiping his Longsword.
This sword is like a woman; if not maintained for a long time, it will become dimmer and less shiny than it was at first.
Clement would maintain his Equipment every day, oiling them. This habit had been maintained for decades and had saved his life on the battlefield more than once.
Suddenly, a castle guard ran to Clement in a panic, shouting, “Bad news, Lord Clement! The Lord has been kidnapped by a group of Tauren as tall as a small building! They even chopped the Lord into three pieces and hung him on axes over three meters high! Σ(っ °Д °;)っ”
“What?! Σ(`д′*ノ)ノ”
Clement shook violently, his knight sword trembling dangerously in his hand.
“Is what you said true?”
“The castle, the castle area, everyone’s saying the same thing, but I’m not sure about the specifics.”
The guard’s expression was hesitant, and he spoke hesitantly.
Clement looked at the guard with a dark look. He wasn’t a fool without a brain and quickly realized what was going on.
Winterkeep, while not small, wasn’t so big that it wouldn’t notice an invasion by creatures the size of small buildings.
And besides, were Master Sivey and him, two Earth Knights, invisible?
Clement quickly calmed down. He knew there must have been a misunderstanding, and the truth was definitely not as ridiculous as the guard had said.
“Take me there!” Clement ordered sharply.
“Huh?”
“What ‘huh’? If the Lord is really in trouble, do you think you’ll survive alone? Hurry up and lead the way!”
Clement kicked the guard’s buttocks without mercy. The castle guard, embarrassed, got up from the ground and obediently led Clement to the castle area.
…
In the castle’s backyard, a group of Tauren Warriors were being curiously watched by the castle guards.
For them, Tauren Warriors were a bit too mighty and tall, and even though they knew they were allies, most guards still felt a bit afraid.
But some guards didn’t think so, especially the knights under Sivey. They thought that with such powerful teammates, they would have a better chance of surviving on the battlefield.
So they quickly struck up conversations with the Tauren Warriors.
“Hey! Big guy, can I touch your muscles? They look, uh… very explosive!”
“Of course! Human friend, you have a good eye. I’m the strongest Tauren in our Tribe!”
“Maybe we can see who can pee farther!”
“Hahaha…”
…
Unlike the cheerful atmosphere over there.
Sivey was angrily reprimanding his newly appointed castle guard captain, Gudbay.
Gudbay stood in front of Sivey with a disappointed look, his head lowered, sweat beads the size of beans on his forehead.
As the captain of the castle guard, when he heard everyone spreading rumors, he realized it wasn’t good.
Before he could even shut the mouths of his men one by one, the Lord had already come looking for him and gave him a fierce reprimand.
“…On the way here, I’ve heard no less than ten versions. Am I already chopped into three pieces by Tauren Warriors? And when I get to the training ground, would I have been cooked and eaten by the Tauren? Huh?”
“This is because you didn’t restrain your soldiers properly. I’m punishing you to wash your soldiers’ underwear and socks for a month. Do you have any objections?”
At these words, Gudbay’s face turned green. His men trained in sweat all day long, and after wearing the same socks and underwear for six days straight, they were practically encrusted. They only washed on the seventh day during rest.
The smell on them didn’t need to be imagined; it was definitely eye-watering. What’s more, there were quite a few underlings under him, at least thirty!
But would he dare to refuse the Lord’s orders? He didn’t dare.
So Gudbay could only nod with a mournful face and say, “I’ll obey your orders, my lord. I accept the punishment.”
The surrounding guards burst into joyful clamor. They wouldn’t have to wash their stinky socks and underwear for a month! However, they didn’t notice their captain Gudbay’s pale face and cruel expression.
As for how Gudbay would deal with these guards in the subsequent training, was another matter. Because Clement had already arrived with the guard’s guidance.
When he saw Sivey, surrounded by the crowd, even though he had always believed that the Lord would be fine, he breathed a sigh of relief. Then, his gaze lingered on the group of Tauren Warriors chatting happily with the guards.
“Hey, Clement, you’re here just in time. Let me introduce our new partners to you.”
Standing beside Baine Bloodhoof, Sivey waved to Clement.
“This is Baine Bloodhoof, a powerful Tauren Chieftain. These are his subordinates. Now they will follow me and fight for Eagle Territory.”
Then Sivey pointed to Clement and said to Baine Bloodhoof, “This is Clement, my bodyguard, an old Earth Knight. I think you two will get along well!”
Clement looked at the majestic Tauren Chieftain in front of him with surprise and admiration, saying, “Welcome to Eagle Territory. We will be comrades fighting side by side in the future.”
In fact, what Clement was more curious about was where the Lord had recruited these powerful Tauren Warriors from and how they had managed to sneak into Winterkeep without him noticing.
“The Lord is becoming more and more unpredictable,” Clement thought to himself, his admiration for Sivey reaching its peak.
“Thank you, mighty warrior! You can always entrust your back to the Tauren of the Bloodhoof Clan!”
Baine Bloodhoof also courteously responded to the old knight in front of him, and the Tauren Warriors behind him roared in unison, “Haha!”
He looked down at Clement with a gaze full of respect and fighting spirit. Baine Bloodhoof sensed an astonishing power emanating from this old knight who barely reached his waist.
…
After arranging the Tauren, Sivey returned to the castle area. He hadn’t forgotten that the little maid Lori was still unconscious in his room.
As soon as Sivey pushed open his room door, he found Lori already awake, scrambling to get out of bed.
Lori trembled all over when she heard the movement, like a frightened little animal instinctively trying to shrink back.
But when she saw that the person coming in was Sivey, her face showed a mixture of joy and panic, quickly replaced by fear.
“Master!”
Without even putting on her shoes, Lori stumbled into Sivey’s arms, clinging to his arm with a fearful expression.
“Master! There are monsters in the castle, very big and terrifying monsters! Lori only came up to their knees!”
“Let’s escape, Master. If we meet the monsters on the way, just throw Lori to them and run away, Master!”
While saying this, Lori gestured and pulled Sivey’s hand to run out, but Sivey pulled her back into his arms.
Sivey couldn’t help but look at the anxious girl with a smile in his eyes, feeling warm and moved inside.
Even in danger, Lori still thought of him first.
Many people talk about loyalty, but when it comes down to it, they might push you behind your back.
Everything that’s happened now has shown where he stands in Lori’s heart.
He looked at Lori’s charmingly rosy lips, feeling itchy inside, pretending to scare her, saying, “I don’t know if there are monsters in the castle, but right now, I’m the monster, and I’m going to eat you!”
“Umm—”
Lori was stunned, before she could speak, Sivey had already embraced her slender waist, leaning down to kiss her small lips.
Lori was softly held in Sivey’s arms, her mind blank, without any struggle. Her face flushed, followed by a faint blush spreading all over her body.
Her expression was somewhat bewildered, her eyes charmingly blurry as she looked at Sivey, her slender arms instinctively wrapping around his neck.
She was willing.
Gradually, the girl had passed the initial awkwardness. She tiptoed, trying to lift her small face to respond to Sivey’s kiss. Her hands tightened around him, as if trying to merge herself into Sivey’s body.
