The Players And The Protagonist Want To Kill Me – Volume 1, Chapter 37

Chapter 37: New Function of the System

Sivey walked for a while before Zoe cautiously peeked out from her furry tail.

She looked around carefully, as if confirming something.

Then she saw outside her room door, a group of demi-humans looking at her with worry written all over their faces.

Zoe blushed, quickly gesturing for the demi-humans guarding the door to close it. With that done, she felt a sense of relief, and her tense body relaxed.

She felt limp all over, with no strength left, even… Zoe dared not think further.

Blushing, she tremblingly stood up, her slender legs feeling a bit weak. She had to lean against the wall for support. Then she rummaged through the cabinet and changed into a new pair of underwear, feeling much more comfortable.

“Bang—”

The door suddenly burst open, and Ye Hao rushed in, looking panicked.

“Zoe, are you okay? That jerk didn’t do anything to you, did he?”

“Get out!”

Zoe’s expression darkened, one hand protecting her chest as she sternly reprimanded him.

“Zoe, I…” Ye Hao was taken aback by Zoe’s sudden reprimand.

“I said, out, now!”

The fox-eared girl clenched her fists, her eyebrows furrowed, her face flushed with anger.

This was her room, and Ye Hao’s intrusion was not only extremely disrespectful to her but also scared her.

What if she had been changing clothes just now?

“Ah… sorry, sorry… I’ll leave now.”

Ye Hao realized he had been a bit impulsive and had intruded on a beauty.

Seeing that Zoe was wearing her ceremonial dress properly, the room was tidy, and there was no strange smell in the air, he felt much relieved.

So, before the girl could get even more angry, he left the room.

Standing outside the room, Ye Hao thought about the crack on the ground that stretched dozens of meters, and the fact that he had exhausted his Breakthrough Skills. A sense of powerlessness and deep frustration welled up inside him.

Coupled with the fact that he had spent more than ten minutes in the same room with the girl he liked and his enemy, and she had just scolded him like that…

Ye Hao’s eyes gradually became obscure.

He stood still for a moment, suddenly seemed to think of something, a glimmer of light flashing in his eyes.

He hesitated, looked at his hand, then at Zoe’s tightly closed room door. Finally, as if making a decision, he gritted his teeth and left the mayor’s mansion.

He cautiously returned to his room, made sure no one was following him, and carefully closed the doors and windows.

Then, stealthily, he reached under the bed and pulled out a palm-sized box.

Ye Hao looked suspiciously at the box in his hand. After a brief hesitation, he tremblingly opened it.

Inside the box was a sculpture of a skull with the body of a sheep and bat wings.

The statue lay quietly in the middle of the box, and in its hollow eye sockets, a terrifying red light flashed and disappeared.

On the other side, Sivey and his army had already left Dawn Town.

When Sivey left Dawn Town, many Players expressed their desire to join Winterfell and follow his team, but he firmly rejected them.

It wasn’t because Sivey thought the Players were too weak or for any other reason.

Mainly because there were still a series of necessary events to be done, such as “capturing demi-human slaves” and “enacting the demi-human slave convention”. Accepting Players now would just spoil the fun, wouldn’t it?

Once he completely incapacitates Ye Hao and captures Zoe back to Winterkeep, if Players still wish to join Winterfell, Sivey expressed his wholehearted welcome.

Who would refuse these hardworking and transparent big leeks?

Sitting on his good buddy, the dragon-blooded horse, Sivey waved his hand to start the lottery.

“System, are the daily Quests completed? I want to draw!”

“Ding! Detected that the host’s Daily Villain Missions have all been completed. Starting to draw rewards for the host…”

“System is drawing…”

“Ding! Congratulations to the host for obtaining Carter’s Mo’gan Dragon Blood Potion. Unfortunately, this reward did not trigger a critical hit. Please continue to work hard, complete more Villain Missions, and become the strongest villain soon.”

Ignoring the system’s sarcastic remarks, Sivey had already produced a crystal vial containing a purple-red potion in his hand.

“What is this used for?”

“Ding! Carter’s Mo’gan Dragon Blood Potion is a body-enhancing potion made by the legendary alchemist Carter Mo’gan, with the main ingredient being the blood of a red dragon.”

Sivey raised an eyebrow. It sounded pretty awesome, making a potion from dragon blood, and the alchemist wasn’t even from the Cain Continent.

On the Cain Continent, making potions was a side job for Alchemists.

He had always thought that the potions he drew would be things like healing potions, growth potions, petrification potions, etc., which weren’t of much use. It seemed he had misunderstood the system.

He hadn’t expected that potions could also produce something extraordinary.

No, it seemed that the items the system gave were always pretty good.

Thinking about the Heroic-level armor he was wearing now and the fierce and combative Bloodhoof Clan, even the Wilderness Source, which was of no use to him, was actually a very precious item, considering the system described it as World Unique.

Thinking about it this way, Sivey suddenly felt a bit sorry for the system that he cursed at every day.

“Shitty system, I misunderstood you. Turns out you’re my biological parent!”

System: “…”

“So if I drink this Mo’gan Dragon Blood Potion, will I transform into a red dragon?”

“Ding! No, this is merely a potion for enhancing your body, not a transformation elixir!”

Sivey sensed a tinge of annoyance in the system’s response. Awkwardly rubbing his nose, he persisted, “Then if I drink this potion, will I writhe in pain, swell all over, collapse, and breathe out dragon breath?”

“…Ding! No, body enhancement is a gradual process that takes about three days in total.”

“The Dragon Blood Potion is produced by the legendary alchemist Carter Mo’gan. He used precious materials and exquisite techniques to make the originally fiery red dragon blood very mild, even a three-year-old child can absorb it perfectly.”

“Ding! Please use the Dragon Blood Potion immediately. Once the potion leaves the system space, it will continue to emit its medicinal properties.”

Sivey smirked, feeling reassured by the system’s statement.

He uncapped the potion vial, held it to his nose, and detected a faint scent of sulfur.

“Not bad, smells like a red dragon,” he remarked.

Sivey nodded in satisfaction, then opened his mouth, tilted his head back, and felt a hot stream slide down his throat into his stomach. This hot stream quickly began to boil, as if igniting a fire in his stomach.

The scorching sensation began to spread to his limbs and bones, feeling like soaking in a hot spring, and Sivey shivered comfortably.

“Not bad! This feels like the taste of soda from my past life.”

“Are there any side effects to this potion, system?”

“Ding! Due to the host’s future perfect fusion of a trace of red dragon blood, this will reduce the probability of the host having offspring. Conversely, it will enhance the host’s combat ability in reproduction.”

Sivey was stunned at these words, then thought about the characteristics of dragons – widespread mating but low fertility.

It was reasonable for this Dragon Blood Potion to have such side effects.

But from some perspectives, this might not be a side effect, but rather an alternative enhancement.

“Ding! The rewards for this time have been distributed, and the system’s new function has been activated.”

“Ding! Next, I will introduce the system’s new function to the host.”

“After the new function is activated, the host’s villainous behavior will earn certain Villain Points, which will be determined by the system.”

“Villain Points can be used to exchange items in the Villain Store, which is updated weekly. The Villain Store has been updated this week. Please check it yourself.”

“Villain Points?”

Sivey pondered. It seemed that this system intended for him to go all out on the villain’s path, irreversibly, tempting him in various ways to do bad things.

Sivey opened the Villain Store and found that there were no items like the Nine Dragons Coffin, Star Destroyer, Super Satellite, Nine Heavens Divine Demon Art, etc., which were extremely powerful.

Instead, there were some seemingly practical items.

And some items had a limited purchase quantity per week.

The most expensive item at the moment was called the Sky Knight Breakthrough Potion, priced at ten thousand Villain Points, with a limit of one purchase per week.

Sivey’s eyes lit up. If he exchanged for this potion, not only could he help Clement break through to Sky Knight, but it could also greatly increase his lifespan.

In the store, the cheapest items were a set of Superior-grade knight Equipment, priced at 500 Villain Points, and a set of Superior-grade mage Equipment, also priced at 500 Villain Points.

These could be used to arm his army, and in the future, perhaps even to exploit Players.

In addition to these, there were mounts, siege equipment, weapon blueprints, and other good things. However, Sivey was not yet sure about the efficiency of obtaining Villain Points, so he temporarily refrained from evaluating the cost-effectiveness of these items.
