Who says I’m small!
Xu Heran unhappily crossed her legs and pouted, secretly sulking, waiting for Xin Nuo to finish packing and leave the room.
She decided to have a late dinner with some milk to strive for the opportunity to pull out Xin Nuo as soon as possible when her martial arts were perfected!
Observing the woman sitting across from Xu Heran for a while, she saw the gold jewelry that Xu Heran took out to give to Xin Nuo’s mother. The image of Xu Heran as a wealthy person became much clearer all of a sudden. Those heavy gold ornaments looked valuable, and even the delicate bracelet her daughter had bought for her cost over ten thousand!
And this was just something a young girl casually bought. She truly was wealthy! Someone so wealthy wouldn’t need to deceive her, right?
Could it be that everything she said was true?
“Hey, young lady, let me ask you, is there still any use for me to work hard now?” The woman initiated a conversation with Xu Heran, her tone noticeably softer than before.
Xu Heran was taken aback. She hadn’t expected this auntie to be thinking about her offhand remarks. She turned her head and swept her gaze up and down the woman’s body. “Hard work is always useful, no matter when. The key is your health…”
“Hey! I’m perfectly fine, absolutely nothing wrong! It’s just that my two kids at home usually don’t listen to me. I’m just scaring them a bit!” The auntie said proudly. Afraid that Xu Heran wouldn’t believe her, she even got off the bed, lifted her arms and legs to show Xu Heran that she was perfectly healthy!
Xu Heran: “…”
She pressed her lips together, the corners of her mouth drooped briefly before immediately curving up, and a bright smile bloomed on her face.
“I see. Well then, you have to work hard now. Let me tell you, whether it’s men or women, having money is the most important thing. If you have money, your two kids won’t need to go to work anymore. They’ll definitely stay at home with you and listen to you, right?” Xu Heran advised in the gentle tone Xin Nuo often used.
“Let me tell you, my grandfather’s friend went from having nothing to being the shipbuilding tycoon he is today. He started from scratch and only earned money at the age of sixty-five. Once he started making money, it was billions and billions!”
“Billions and billions?” The woman’s eyes lit up, her excited chest trembling. “Child, teach me quickly, how to earn?”
“It’s quite simple, you see, you should start by educating yourself,” Xu Heran said. “Do you know about senior colleges? Enroll in some courses, learn more. In this world, everything might betray you, but learning won’t!”
“Me, learn?” The woman hesitated anxiously. “At my age, what can I learn?”
“See, that’s the wrong mindset. The grandpa who earned billions and billions grew and learned till old age. If you want to make money, you must keep learning!”
“Auntie, empower yourself!”
“Also, the tuition for senior colleges isn’t high, and not only can you learn, but you can also make friends with many people your age. Who knows, you might meet remarkable individuals there,” Xu Heran earnestly advised. “You never know who might become your benefactor on your path to prosperity!”
“Furthermore, you need to exercise your body. That old gentleman runs marathons every year. You, on the other hand, can attend classes during the day and go square dancing at night. Balance learning and physical fitness, both hands must be strong!”
“Yes, yes, yes, you make a lot of sense. You young people know a lot!” The woman felt Xu Heran’s words were right on the mark. She nodded repeatedly, even promising that once she made big money in the future, she would invite Xu Heran to act in a movie! She thanked her!
Xu Heran readily agreed and bid a reluctant farewell when called away by Cui Qi.
After she left, the woman immediately called her son, lowering her voice as if afraid others might hear, “Hello, son, quickly enroll me in a senior college, sign me up for a few courses! I don’t rely on you guys, I want to prove myself!”
Her son: “…”
???
What’s she up to again—well, it’s better to keep her occupied with something than have her pretend to be sick and waste money going to the hospital every other day.
The young person who had been observing the whole time covered their face with a blanket, stifling their laughter, causing the blanket to tremble.
After half an hour, two young women entered the ward. They quickly tidied up things for Nuo Nuo’s mother.
“Oh, is Mrs. Xin Nuo not staying here anymore?”
One of the women smiled and said, “No, she’s changing rooms. Miss Xin’s daughter arranged for her to have a private room. We’re here as her caregivers.”
Look, with money you can have a private room, caregivers, fresh flowers! And someone sent gold!
The woman clenched her fist, determined to attend this university!
Meanwhile, the young person beside her sighed in a leisurely manner, opened Weibo, and posted a selfie with a caption.
“Never expected to share a hospital room with the starry-eyed mother of Starlight Xin Nuo in this lifetime. Honored to have seen both Xin Nuo and Xu Heran in person! There’s nothing more to say, both of them are truly angels!!! Xu Heran is truly the little princess who has descended upon us! I’m staking my claim as a knight today!
By the way, who let the little princess give three gold pieces? She actually bought them! And even bought five gold pieces! I saw the despair on her manager’s face at that moment, crystal clear. It cracked me up!”
Afterward, they reposted an official voting link. In the voting, Song Fenghua had 1 vote, Xin Nuo had 1 vote, and Xu Heran had a whopping 5 votes.
This Weibo post was quickly shared on the platform, attracting fans of Xu Heran and Xin Nuo, who came flooding in with inquiries, laughing heartily.
“Song Fenghua’s die-hard fan switched to supporting the little princess. Fenghua’s going to spank the little princess when she finds out.”
“Hahaha, no way, does Song Fenghua care about votes? Not at all! She only hides from the camera, what an unambitious child! Fenghua’s fans are suffering, shedding tears.”
“Oh, I just played a little trick, and she fell for it. Oh my, I can’t bear to blame her—hahaha, she actually bought it, hahaha, she cracked me up. Our Little Pearl really has no brain!”
“How can there be such an adorable Little Pearl!”
“Big brother, thank you for liking Ran Ran, but we don’t have knights, only pearl clams! Everyone here is Ran Ran’s dear old mother!”
“Ah, well… can I be an old father then? If that’s really not possible, should I go find some scissors?”
“Shh—Xu Heran, what kind of magic do you possess? You’ve managed to bring up ‘One Cut Plum’! Truly remarkable! Terrifyingly so!”
“Hahaha, that’s right! Speaking of which, as the new old father, I must tell you all about the good deeds Little Pearl did today! It’s a genuine good deed…”
In the hospital room, the young person was animated and enthusiastic as they vividly described the “Xu Heran’s Words of Wisdom” to everyone. This caused the group of pearl clams to burst into hearty laughter, exclaiming that having pearls like these was all they needed, what more could they ask for!
The young woman who had stormed back to work at the company after her hospital visit took the afternoon off. She worked with a sense of grievance, and her coworker and good friend, seeing her downcast mood, tried to cheer her up by sharing the impressive tale of their “Good Girl.” All they wanted was to see their friend smile.
Sure enough, the young woman’s mood brightened considerably upon hearing the story. She let out a sigh and said, “That’s nice. If only my mom were like that. I’ve seen through her. I don’t expect her to treat me and my brother equally. I just hope she doesn’t provoke me. Otherwise, I’ll resign and keep my distance from her as much as possible next month. I won’t care about her anymore!”
As she was saying this, she suddenly received a call from her younger brother. The voice on the other end laughed heartily, “Sis, guess what? Mom asked me to sign her up for the senior university and said the more courses, the better. How did she suddenly decide to start tormenting herself with learning?”
The young woman: “…”
The young woman: “???”
The young woman: “!!!”
“Oh my goodness!” She held the phone, stood up in astonishment, and startled her friend. She grabbed her friend’s arm, her expression a mix of excitement and hilarity, “It’s really me! It’s my mom! I just left two minutes ago! Ahhh!”
“What was the name of that celebrity you just mentioned? Quick, quick, quick, I need to follow her now! Hahaha!” She excitedly patted her friend’s shoulder.
Even the young woman’s friend was taken aback by this fantastical turn of events. Pearl was right beside me… literally beside me!
“Our little girl hasn’t even debuted yet! Come, let me teach you how to vote. From now on, we’ll all be mothers of the same ‘Good Girl’!”
The fan numbers of Starlight Girl’s first and fifth places were quite significant. Soon, discussions propelled the terms onto the entertainment section’s hot searches: #Xu Heran meets senior member Xin Nuo with gold gifts##Xu Heran and Xin Nuo meet parents##Xu Heran’s words of wisdom#, and more buzzwords clustered at the end of the hot search.
Following Xu Heran’s “transformation,” their keen eyes recognized the pearls and immediately depicted the grand touch of Xinran’s sisters’ oversized rice bowls that could hold a whole bowlful of food. In the picture, a round white pearl, with a pink blush on its face, sat beneath a basket it was holding up with its head.
Its basket was larger than its own head and filled with glittering jewelry, along with small round pearls.
An arrow next to the basket read: Pearl’s entire fortune.
The round pearl with big blue-purple eyes gazed at the gentle-faced aunt before it and asked, “Is it enough? Are these enough?”
Meanwhile, the Q-version black-haired girl hid behind her mother, looking shy.
“Ah, ah, so adorable! Enough, enough, enough! Auntie will give it to you. Auntie will clean Nuo Nuo and give it to you!”
“Wait—wait a minute! Something’s not right! It’s supposed to be Xinran, right? It’s wrong!”
The small rice bowl face, in the midst of chuckling over comments, suddenly froze. “Oh no, how could I forget!”
It was Xinran, indeed!
But this picture is just too cute, I can’t bear to delete it!
While she was torn, her phone suddenly rang. She was startled for a moment, and only after seeing “Superstar” on the caller ID did she reluctantly answer.
“Hello, Little Bowl.” On the phone, a woman’s voice rang crisply. “My sister said you’ve been infatuated with 《Starlight Girls》recently. My upcoming work is related to Starlight Girls. Would you like to come be my assistant for a few days and observe your favorite sisters up close?”
“No—” The small bowl’s refusal faltered. If she got a closer look, would she finally figure out whether it’s Xinran or the current consensus of impossibility? Who would be the one heartbroken?
She suppressed a gulp, clenched their fist, and put on a determined expression, as if heading for execution.
“Alright, I’ll go!”
Sisters, what is the truth? This bowl is about to find out!
Good Girl, Mama’s coming to see you~
The nanny car parked in front of the most luxurious hotel in Haicheng, and the handsome doorman, polite and courteous, opened the car door.
“Why don’t we just grab a bite? How did we end up here?” Xin Nuo’s mother felt a bit uneasy. She originally wanted to treat Xu Heran and Cui Qi to a meal, but at this place, she worried she couldn’t afford it.
“It’s okay, Mom.” Xin Nuo’s eyes curved as she held her mother’s hand. “Consider it a celebration for my advancement, okay?”
During her peak glory, she didn’t allow her mother to enjoy, but in the future, she would do her best to provide a comfortable life.
“Rest assured, in the future, I’ll make sure you have a good life,” she thought to herself.
“But I can’t let you spend too much.” Xin Nuo’s mother knew that coming to a place like this would definitely involve Xu Heran spending money.
Xin Nuo smiled and said, “Don’t worry, I’ll pay her back.”
Xu Heran turned around. “Mom—come on!”
Xin Nuo’s mother: “…”
“This child.” She smiled helplessly.
“Oh my, I’ve even called you ‘mom.’ What’s the harm in having a meal with me? Besides, Nuo Nuo and I are staying here tonight. We’re heading back to the training camp tomorrow afternoon!” Xu Heran walked over and took Xin Nuo’s mother’s other arm, leading her forward.
“I’m really hungry. Let’s go eat quickly. You know, I’m quite picky. Everyone calls me Little Princess. I won’t eat unless it’s this kind of restaurant, and even for sleeping, I need the best bed. I’m not easy to please!” Xu Heran’s tone was proud.
Xin Nuo held back a laugh.
“Is… is that so?” Xin Nuo’s mother knew her family was wealthy, and seeing her appearance, she seemed like a pampered and cherished child. She couldn’t help but be half-believing. Being used to a good life, being picky was reasonable.
“Yes! My stomach has its own preferences, sensitive and picky. If I eat random things, I’ll end up with vomiting and diarrhea!” Xu Heran’s face remained unchanged. “Acute gastroenteritis, nightmares in the middle of the night, tears and crying for comfort!”
Xin Nuo: “?”
Xu Heran added more details to Xin Nuo’s mother, “We princesses, being a bit spoiled makes us cuter! I like it this way.”
“Hehe.”
I like it this way, not I like it like this.
Xin Nuo: “…”
Xin Nuo’s mother only heard the part about falling ill earlier and felt it was quite serious. Since the child came to see her, she couldn’t let her eat anything bad. She didn’t decline and even specially cautioned, “You need to be careful in the future and not eat randomly.”
“Sure, you can rest assured. I’ll take care of myself. Besides, Nuo Nuo is here too, right?” Xu Heran lifted her head and smiled at Xin Nuo. “Isn’t that right, Nuo Nuo?”
Xin Nuo suppressed her eyelashes, her eyes reflecting fractured light like shattered ice turned into slush, blending with the ink-black hue. She tugged at the corner of her mouth, a smile that seemed like a smile yet not quite.
“Yes, that’s right.”
She replied softly.
The hotel’s central air conditioning gently circulated cool air, maintaining a comfortable temperature throughout the corridor. Near the elevator entrance, on the welcoming wall of a two-meter-tall water tank, a colorful ornamental fish met Xu Heran’s gaze.
Suddenly, the fish flicked its tail, leaping out of the water abruptly and darting in the opposite direction. Xu Heran felt that the fish must have sensed the same sense of oppression she felt! A hint of coolness drifted from behind, causing a certain someone who was just showing off to shiver and stand up straight.
“Auntie, let’s go this way!” Xu Heran pretended to be clueless, cheerfully hugging Xin Nuo’s mother’s hand tightly, and hurriedly walked forward.
Xin Nuo’s mother smiled gently, thinking to herself that this child seemed genuinely hungry and was quite clingy as well.
“Heh.” Xin Nuo walked behind, flicked her hair, and watched Xu Heran’s figure.
“Your courage has indeed grown.”
Willing to be torn apart, this Pearl does not fear Nuo Nuo’s challenge!
Xu Heran tilted her chin slightly, her long eyelashes fluttered, and her bright eyes sparkled. Filled with immense self-assured courage, she couldn’t resist anymore and finally turned her head around at the corner. Her gaze met the owner of the deep, observing eyes that had been watching her back.
After a silent moment, Xu Heran lowered her mask and pouted.
“Mua.”
A blown kiss for you, my sister, don’t mind it.
Love you, oh~
Xu Heran, Xin Nuo, Xin Nuo’s mother, and Sister Cui dined together, creating a pleasant atmosphere at the dining table. After the meal, Xu Heran was reluctant to part. She saw Xin Nuo’s mother off to the car, instructing the driver to take good care and safely return her mother to the hospital.
Xin Nuo, the daughter: “…”
She raised her hand and gave Xu Heran a playful pat on her rear end.
“Off you go.”
The car had already turned the corner.
Taking advantage of Xin Nuo’s mother’s absence, Xu Heran stood at the doorway, looking into the distance as the car departed. Unwilling to look back, she fell silent for a moment.
She took a deep breath, sweetly smiled at Xin Nuo, took a step, and slowly moved towards the direction of the door.
One step.
Another step.
Whoosh—
The smile on the hotel doorman’s face hadn’t fully formed, and he hadn’t even bent down yet, when suddenly, the wind lifted the corner of his clothing. The girl with remarkably beautiful and almost exotic eyes swiftly darted through the automatic doors, which opened with arms’ width, disappearing into the lobby in the blink of an eye.
Doorman: “…”
He froze for a moment, then resumed his action as if nothing happened, only to notice that the black-haired, dark-eyed, equally exquisite and beautiful girl glanced his way, revealing a polite, gentle smile.
“Thank you,” Xin Nuo said to the embarrassed doorman.
She strolled leisurely into the lobby, humming a song with delight.
Run, run, let’s see where you, foolish brat, can run off to.
Truly audacious, daring to tease her.
Xin Nuo lowered her hand, her fingers moved slowly like playing the piano. Guided by the bellhop, she entered the elevator, while someone with a guilty conscience had already chosen another elevator to escape. Xin Nuo remained composed, and after three minutes, she encountered Cui Qi, who was locked outside the door of the presidential suite.
“Xin Nuo, you’ll stay here with Ran Ran tonight. I’ve already arranged for an assistant. If you need to go to the hospital tomorrow, the car will be waiting at the hotel,” Cui Qi instructed, “If there’s anything urgent, just contact me directly.”
“Thank you, Sister Cui,” Xin Nuo replied warmly, and they exchanged contact information.
Cui Qi had initially intended to return to the company to handle work, but now there were only her and Xin Nuo in the corridor. She thought it was a good opportunity to have a chat, so she smiled and asked, “Nuo Nuo, can I call you that?”
After getting Xin Nuo’s approval, she gently chuckled, “Ran Ran really likes you. You’re a very talented and young girl, and I also like you. We’ve known each other for quite a while. Have you considered joining the company?”
Join the company… Universal Entertainment?
Xin Nuo was taken aback; since her rebirth, she hadn’t considered that direction.
In her previous life, with the support of mysterious capital, she established her own studio and challenged the wolves, eventually succeeding in her career and absorbing the enterprises of those people through a successful partnership.
“On a personal level, while being independent grants you freedom, your influence is weak and resources are scarce. Without absolute opportunities, it’s easy to be overshadowed in this industry. However, the entertainment industry is vast, with companies of all sizes. Each company treats their artists differently. Living together with so many trainees, you can pick up various pieces of information. As for Universal Entertainment… you’ve seen the potential of our company. We’re still in our early stages, but we’ll strive to provide a fair and comfortable working environment for our artists in the future,” Cui Qi explained the pros and cons in a low voice, elaborating on the benefits of Universal Entertainment.
“You can consider it carefully; there’s no rush to make a decision right now. The seven-member group debuting as Starlight Girls belongs to Universal Entertainment. I believe that over these two years, you’ll gain a deeper impression of Universal Entertainment.” She smiled faintly, appearing confident in Xin Nuo’s eventual debut.
Xin Nuo lightly curved her lips, her long eyelashes fluttering like the wings of a butterfly in flight.
Being an idol for two years?
With Xu Heran?
It sounds… quite interesting.
Moreover, all things considered, making Universal Entertainment her temporary backing was a good idea. Since that was the case, she might as well open up to Cui Qi.
Xin Nuo whispered softly, “Sister Cui, my goal is the big screen.”
Cui Qi wasn’t surprised. Xin Nuo had a great image, and it seemed that no matter the occupation in the entertainment industry, everyone eventually ventured into television and film. To truly succeed and leave a mark, it all depended on talent.
“Don’t worry, as long as you’re willing, the company will fully support you,” Cui Qi smiled. She had briefly interacted with the Vice President of Universal Group, and from their conversation, she could sense the ambitions of this rising executive.
Their initial agreement left both parties satisfied.
Holding the room key card that Cui Qi had given her, Xin Nuo watched her leave. Then, she turned leisurely, casting a glance at the closed door.
Beneath her smooth black hair, a glint of light flickered in her dark eyes. With her arms crossed, Xin Nuo adopted an attitude as if she could stand here for eternity, silently staring at the imposing door of the presidential suite.
The black and gold key card rotated slowly in her fair hand. At this moment, Xin Nuo was like a predatory cat, exuding patience in every fiber of her being, waiting for her prey to reveal itself.
One minute, two minutes… she counted the time in her mind. Before she reached the third minute, the tightly closed brown door moved.
A subtle sound, and the door opened a shallow crack. When the occupant inside realized that this crack was too small to see the outside, they exerted more force and stealthily widened it a bit.
And so, Xu Heran’s eyes met Xin Nuo’s gentle smile head-on. Xin Nuo’s expression was calm, her gaze welcoming, as if she were saying—
“Good little puppy, waited a long time, huh.”
“!”
Xu Heran’s eyes widened instantly, and she subconsciously took a step back. Outside the door, Xin Nuo raised her hand, rolling up the sleeves of her coat to her elbows, revealing the soft curve of her fair skin illuminated by the dim hallway lights.
“!!!”
“Help!” Xu Heran turned her head and fled in a hurry, laughing as she ran, “Mom—”
Xin Nuo pushed the door open and entered, closing it behind her with a casual gesture.
Closing the door to teach a dog a lesson.
“It’s useless to call your grandma.” Xin Nuo said, chasing after Xu Heran. The two of them circled around the spacious room, running in circles.
“Don’t come near me!” Xu Heran shouted at the top of her lungs, “Even though you’re pretty and sweet-voiced, with long legs and a slender waist, I won’t submit! Woof woof, I’ll never be a slave!”
“Heh~”
Xu Heran stood behind the sofa, bent over with a defensive posture, and even smiled at Xin Nuo, blowing a kiss. Xin Nuo had fallen for her tricks many times before, and every time, Xu Heran attempted to get away with this innocent smile. But this time, Xin Nuo wouldn’t be fooled.
Xu Heran thought to herself that this wasn’t good; she had a feeling that her backside would be subjected to a lot of hits this time. She licked her lips nervously and discreetly stepped back.
On either side of the living room were bedrooms.
Her little trick was immediately noticed by Xin Nuo.
Xin Nuo didn’t know what she was thinking, perhaps witnessing her mother’s safety first hand had put her mind at ease. Now, after a satisfying meal, in the warm room, and in front of Xu Heran, she felt as if she had truly turned eighteen, carefree and unburdened, a girl with a bright future.
Seeing Xu Heran’s attempt to escape into the bedroom, Xin Nuo acted on impulse. Without a second thought, she took off her shoes, jumped onto the soft sofa in the center of the living room, and then used the thick backrest to climb upwards.
Xu Heran’s heart skipped a beat; her clear pupils contracted. She didn’t hesitate and took a step forward, opening her arms to catch Xin Nuo.
“No running!”
Xin Nuo squinted her eyes, her slender body arched like a cat, fixated on her prey. She leaped down from the back of the sofa, a sense of weightlessness quickly engulfing her. Her reason burst forth in an instant, and a pair of warm arms caught her, bringing her into a tight embrace. Xin Nuo held onto Xu Heran’s shoulders, her legs wrapped around her waist, and she lightly nuzzled Xu Heran’s forehead with her chin.
She had been smiling all along.
“Cheating!” Xu Heran protested, her arms flexed, and the faint muscles on her arms stood out.
Last time, she hadn’t managed to hold onto Xin Nuo. But even after just a few days had passed, her strength still wasn’t enough to lift Xin Nuo, and she didn’t have a staircase to lean against this time. With gritted teeth, Xu Heran’s trembling arms bent down her left knee and she knelt on the ground, her right leg following suit.
Xin Nuo burst into laughter as Xu Heran held her and placed her gently on the soft carpet, her black hair spreading out like ink.
“Xu Heran, are you capable?”
The girl’s ample bosom rose and fell with laughter. Xu Heran blushed and looked away, her gaze falling on Xin Nuo’s face as she retorted, “Of course I’m capable! I caught you, didn’t I?”
“Just look at this height. How could you jump down from here? It’s so dangerous!”
Xin Nuo answered absentmindedly with an “Mhm, mhm, mhm.” She extended her arm, cradling Xu Heran’s head and gently pressing it towards her, her fingers lightly massaging Xu Heran’s hair as she lazily spoke, “Little Pearl, fluffy Little Pearl.”
Xu Heran: “…”
Was it her who wasn’t normal, or was it this world that wasn’t normal? Nuo Nuo had become strange!
However… if this kind of punishment continued in the future, she wouldn’t mind provoking Nuo Nuo more, hehe.

Hm. I am betting heavily on Heranxin. Ran Ran has the potential to top! Baby Ran, drink your vitamins and do more exercises!
