My Childhood Sweetheart Gradually Puffed Up CH.81

Chapter 81: JK Night Chat

Beer isn’t something that tastes good.

The group also bought some snacks, sitting beside the rostrum, drinking, eating, and chatting.

Lu Min tapped her can against Fu Chengque’s and asked, “Chengque, have you decided on your university yet?”

Fu Chengque tapped back and took a sip, “I haven’t decided yet, I’ll figure it out later.”

“It’s not urgent indeed. Both you and Wen Yu have shown the fastest improvement in our class. It’s really impressive,” Fang Ling added.

Continuing the conversation, Lu Min said, “The one who ranked first in the last midterm was… Ah, Cheng Pingce. Haha, I chatted with him a few days ago, and he said he was really anxious!”

Xiao Gua asked, “Anxious about what?”

“Scared of being surpassed by Wen Yu, haha.”

Xiao Gua slapped her leg, “Haha, being anxious won’t help. Next semester, not to mention Wen Yu, Chengque can surpass him too.”

“Yeah, it’s really enviable. It took me a lot of effort just to get back into the top five.”

Fu Chengque leaned in and encouraged, “That’s great, Xiao Min, you’re really great.”

Lu Min was taken aback, feeling somewhat amused and teary, “Thank you…”

Fu Chengque burst into laughter, “Our group has three principles, among which, ‘achieving high grades’ is steadily progressing! Let’s celebrate, come on, cheers!”

These moments were so wonderful, she loved them so much.

The four clinked their glasses again.

They then shared some more snacks and took a few more sips of beer each.

By now, their faces were somewhat flushed.

Xiao Gua suddenly hugged Fu Chengque.

“Why are you suddenly hugging me?”

“I just feel like it. Maybe I won’t be able to hug you like this this time next year.”

“Aww, I want to hug you too, Gua Gua!”

“That sounds like calling a frog.”

“Xiao Gua!”

“That’s more like it! Hahaha.”

“Hug—”

“Hug—”

Fang Ling glanced at the crescent moon behind the clouds and asked, “By the way, Chengque, why are you so enthusiastic about being ‘Empress’?”

“Me? Well, of course, that’s because…” Fu Chengque paused for a moment, then said, “Of course, it’s because I have the ability! Hahaha, I’m already a quasi-Empress, it’s fate!”

“Alright, alright, congratulations to you then.”

“Hahaha, thank you! Wait and see, I’ll enlighten you all in the future!”

“Start with Xiao Gua first, she’s a bit dumber than me.”

Xiao Gua was furious, “My grades are almost as good as yours!”

Fang Ling chuckled, “Oh, you’re already this arrogant just because you’re almost there?”

“Of course.”

“Who taught you to be like this?”

“Chengque.”

“As expected!”

“What’s wrong with it!”

“Capture the ringleader first, I won’t let Chengque off the hook!”

With that, she pounced on Fu Chengque, immediately starting to tickle her.

Fu Chengque was taken aback, her face paled with fright. It was too late to escape. She was bullied for a while before finally managing to break free, her face flushed.

“You dare to bully me! You probably don’t even know that not even Wen Yu can beat me in a push and shove!” she pretended to be angry, then said menacingly, “One for one, don’t even think about running away! This will be a lasting memory, count on it! Take this!”

With that, she charged forward, looking pleased with herself…

Wen Yu emerged from the meeting with Chen Xiongguo, glancing at the already darkening sky, feeling somewhat speechless.

Chen Xiongguo had a lot of nonsense, pulling him here and there, resembling a teacher, a parent, and even a friend, imparting a lot of social knowledge to him.

If it were the mentality of the past Wen Yu, he would definitely find him annoying.

But the present Wen Yu, aside from being slightly annoyed, felt more responsible towards Chen Xiongguo.

This old head teacher was genuinely worried about his relationship with Fu Chengque, especially fearing it might affect Wen Yu’s own future.

Because of this, he lectured him in the form of a “friend” with many “you’ll understand when you grow up” talks, which even the current adult mindset of Wen Yu found very beneficial.

Wen Yu stood outside, felt the cold wind for a while, then returned to the classroom.

The classroom door was still unlocked; some students had gone to watch the campus party, which hadn’t ended yet.

As soon as he entered the classroom, he saw Xiao Gua and the others surrounding Fu Chengque, while Qingmei was lying on the table.

He hurried over.

“What’s going on… Wow! What’s that smell, have you guys been drinking?”

As soon as Wen Yu approached, he smelled the strong scent of alcohol.

Looking at the faces and anxious expressions of the girls, he immediately understood most of it.

“Is Fu Chengque drunk?”

The three nodded.

“How much did she drink?”

“We three shared one can each, and Chengque drank more than three cans…” Xiao Gua said quietly, “We told her not to get drunk, but Chengque just gulped them down.”

The expressions of the other two confirmed Xiao Gua’s words.

Wen Yu was speechless.

After a while, he started to laugh, “Are you guys doing the kind of thing you see in TV dramas, where you drink on the playground to have one last hurrah before youth ends?”

The three girls suddenly looked embarrassed.

Fang Ling added, “Actually, we were planning to sing too, but Chengque passed out before we got there…”

“You guys are really something. What were you up to mysteriously this afternoon?”

“…”

“What do we do now? Should I send each of you home?”

Lu Min shook her head first, “No need, no need, we three are fine… hiccup!” As she spoke, she suddenly hiccupped.

Her face turned all red in an instant.

She immediately ran outside the classroom to get some fresh air…

Wen Yu chuckled a few times, then composed himself and said to the remaining two, “Never mind, I’ll call a taxi and take you all home, just to be safe.”

The two nodded.

They packed up their things, and Wen Yu called a taxi in advance, then individually dropped off Xiao Gua, Lu Min, and Fang Ling near their homes.

Their alcohol tolerance was decent, and they hadn’t drunk much, so by the time they were close to home, they were mostly fine.

In the end, only the big fool Fu Chengque was still dozing off in the car.

The taxi sped along the road. In the back seat, Wen Yu carefully supported Fu Chengque, holding a plastic bag in his other hand. He and the taxi driver were both very concerned about her suddenly vomiting.

Near their homes, Fu Chengque suddenly opened her eyes, grabbing Wen Yu’s arm and shaking it.

“Wen Yu, Wen Yu, I want to get off…”

“What?”

“I want to get off!”

“We’re almost there.”

“I feel sick in the car…”

“… “

The taxi driver happily pulled over to the side of the road. After Wen Yu paid the fare and got out, Fu Chengque had already vomited on the roadside greenery.

She staggered over to Wen Yu and hugged his arm.

Wen Yu quickly supported her.

“Ah… ahaha, Wen… Wen, I feel terrible…”

“Why did you drink so much if you can’t handle it?”

“What… what drink?”

“… “

Wen Yu looked at the limp Fu Chengque, then glanced at the walk that was still ten to twenty minutes away from home, feeling particularly conflicted.

A drunken mess, and just a few minutes’ drive away, getting another taxi would be troublesome. Moreover, looking around, there weren’t many cars on the road.

He could only slowly walk back.

He lifted Fu Chengque with effort. “Let’s go.”

But the girl slid down his arm.

“Huh? Where… Where are we going? Wen Yu, I can’t walk anymore!”

“Hold on, we’re almost there.”

“I can’t… I can’t walk…!”

In just a moment, Fu Chengque was already half asleep, hanging off Wen Yu.

Wen Yu started to feel a headache.

After some consideration, he directly exerted force with both arms to lift Fu Chengque up, then bent down to support her, carrying her on his back.
