Grab The Heroine and Run Away Ch. 43.2
Inside the live chat, barrage messages floated densely.
“You should have said earlier, this silly kid. If you had said you wanted to live with Nuo Nuo, would Mom not have voted for you!”
“What! Pearl and Nuo Nuo are moving in together already?”
“Supporting Xu Heran and Xin Nuo sharing a bed! Every day!”
“Is it the kind of sharing I’m thinking of?”
“Hahaha, no, it’s not like that. Each has their own bedroom, but there’s a connecting dressing room in between. I suspect Little Pearl will secretly run to Xin Nuo’s room in the middle of the night!” Jiang Qiong said.
“Ugh… well, that works too!”
Xu Heran’s energy gauge started sparking with fireworks.
The director raised a megaphone. “Congratulations to Heran for accumulating a hundred points successfully. Please open your gift and choose your room and roommate.”
“I think I’ve been tricked!” Xu Heran walked toward the sweet robot while saying, “It was her who brought up roommates first. But now that I think about it, it’s not about roommates at all, is it?”
Everyone consoled her, “It’s almost the same, almost. Go find Xin Nuo. Would Xin Nuo lock the door?”
“Would Xin Nuo block the door with a cabinet?”
“Would Xin Nuo ask someone to seal the door?”
A group of people chimed in unison, “No way!”
Xu Heran: “…”
Suddenly, she turned her head to look at Xin Nuo.
Xin Nuo narrowed her eyes with a smile. “Well, thanks for everyone’s input, I’ve learned.”
“Hehehe.”
“Wow—” Xu Heran burst into tears, crouching on the ground to find her gift box.
“Here.” Everyone helped her lift the top box.
“It’s quite heavy.”
“Student Heran, whom have you chosen as your roommate? You and the chosen person can now choose a gift together.” The director prompted.
Xu Heran sighed, shook her head, and said, “Who else can it be?”
Jian Yueyin laughed heartily and handed Xin Nuo’s box to her.
Two girls, one sitting on the ground with her legs crossed, tearing open the box, and the other squatting down, slowly unwrapping the wrapping paper.
“What is it?” Xu Heran said.
There was a gift, and Little Pearl was very happy.
The lid of the gift box was lifted, making a gentle sound. Everyone leaned in together. When they saw the gift clearly, they all exclaimed, “Wow.”
Xu Heran squinted with joy and said, “It’s a microphone!”
She lifted the box to show the camera.
The transparent plastic lid protected the custom-made microphone. The microphone had a blue base with flowing purple light. Depending on the angle, the light showed different depths of color. The blending of blue and purple was just right, exuding a sophisticated tone.
Xu Heran carefully lifted the lid and held the microphone in her hand.
“Wow, it’s so shiny! It has gems!” Jiang Qiong whispered.
“It matches the color of your eyes,” Fenghua smiled and said.
“What about Nuo Nuo’s?” Xu Heran quickly looked at Xin Nuo.
Xin Nuo lifted the box.
With a purple base color and flowing blue light, it was a completely different galaxy from Xu Heran’s.
Jiang Qiong almost blurted out, “I’m going for the couple’s version.” She suddenly stopped herself, realizing they were on a live broadcast. She exchanged a look with Haya, and their eyes sparkled.
Gaining popularity!
The live audience didn’t hold back, especially the fans of the PengRanXinDong ship. Everyone was excited as if it were the New Year, especially after hearing from the director that this gift was from Xu Heran’s mother. The excitement escalated.
Look, our couple!
They’ve sung love songs!
Shared a bed!
Exchanged engagement gifts!
Met each other’s parents!
And now, there’s a gift of commitment too!
Who could deny it? Is it not real?
What? Xu Heran is still young?
Does a child bride know? Does a little sweetheart understand? When they turn eighteen, it’s time for the wedding!
“Beautiful,” Laurel said, looking at the remaining box with some anticipation.
“Heran, please choose your room,” the director handed Xu Heran the name stickers of Xin Nuo and her.
“On the third floor, the music room is closer. Let’s go with the third floor,” Xu Heran said.
Xin Nuo nodded, “Alright.”
Both of them stuck their name stickers on the right side, facing each other.
The more Little Pearl looked, the more satisfied she became, wishing it were already evening.
“Ran Ran, some viewers suggested you try the microphone and sing a duet with Nuo Nuo,” Jian Yueyin said.
Xu Heran and Xin Nuo were sticking the 50-point stickers on their panels. Little Pearl didn’t even look back, “No singing! Our reputation has already dropped into the negative!”
“They’re begging you.”
“Even if they beg, I won’t do it. I’m not the Little Pearl from ten minutes ago!” Xu Heran said proudly and smugly, holding her box and sitting on the couch with Xin Nuo. They were enjoying delicious food and drinks, sitting cross-legged and watching their teammates working hard for the rooms.
Lin Weining looked left and right, puzzled, “Actually…”
“Other than Little Pearl, we didn’t have any requirements for roommates, right?”
Lin Weining’s words made Xu Heran pause while biting into a chip. She held the chip and her pupils dilated slowly.
Huh?
Xin Nuo chewed her chip very slowly, tilting her head and looking at Xu Heran with a playful smile.
Crunch.
Xu Heran crunched the chip, feeling even more disheartened, “So I’m the only one making an effort!”
“Don’t you want to be with me?” Little Pearl asked Xin Nuo in a pitiful tone.
“But, I thought you would come to me,” Xin Nuo said softly.
Little Pearl: That’s true!
Pfft. Laurel chuckled without looking back, shaking her head, “Easily consoled.”
“You’re so disappointing, Xu Pearl!”
Jian Yueyin smiled, “Let’s dedicate a song 《Dance Monkey》 to everyone.”
Xu Heran applauded with enthusiasm, “Even if not for the roommate, let’s do it for the gift!”
She lifted the box, showing off proudly.
After Jian Yueyin finished singing, Laurel turned around, “I wonder how the sound quality of the gift is. Pearl, encourage us?”
“You just want me to sing! Persecuting me, the Little Pearl!”
The barrage followed suit, urging Xu Heran and Xin Nuo to sing together.
Xin Nuo leaned against the couch, chuckling, “What should we sing, 《When Love Has Become the Past》?”
Everyone: “…”
Audience: “…”
Xu Heran grinned, “If not that, how about 《Dancing with a Stranger》?”
Though they hadn’t heard it, just from the name, those who had listened before thought it wasn’t quite right: “…”
“Hahaha!” Xu Heran avenged her grievance and high-fived Xin Nuo. But they didn’t refuse the fans’ call, using the custom microphone her mother had gifted her, she and Xin Nuo once again sang the final stage song, their duet 《Somber》
“Sob sob, grow up quickly, Little Pearl! I really want to see grown-up Little Pearl sing this song with Nuo Nuo!”
“Lock me in!”
After Xu Heran and Xin Nuo finished their song, everyone’s enthusiasm for the game heightened again. It seemed that the effect of the gifts was still significant.
Except for Xu Heran, no one chose to stand on their heads. After the first five people collected their singing scores, they bid farewell to the reluctant audience, and the remaining six people started playing hide and seek.
“Heran and Nuo Nuo, do you want to join?” the director asked with a smile.
Xu Heran immediately looked at Xin Nuo, her eyes bright.
“I choose to watch,” Xin Nuo said lazily.
Xu Heran thought for a moment, then lay down, “I’ll stay with Nuo Nuo!”
“Don’t you want to play?” Xin Nuo asked her.
Xu Heran just smiled, her blue-purple eyes looking at her seriously.
“Silly little fool, let’s go.” Xin Nuo stood up, her fair palm drooping, facing Xu Heran’s direction. “This time, I’ll be with you.”
It was just a game of hide and seek, but it went on for quite a while. The eight girls played crazily, each holding a selfie camera, running around the big house in pure joy. They had become familiar with the house.
The second winner was Jian Yueyin. However, after asking the director if she could give up the opportunity to choose, she passed it to Haya. In the end, it was Laurel, Jian Yueyin, Xu Heran, Xin Nuo on the third floor, and Song Fenghua, Jiang Qiong, Haya, Lin Weining on the second floor.
After the room allocation was done, the six girls opened their gifts. Jian Yueyin’s microphone was silver, Haya’s was orange, Laurel’s was gold, Jiang Qiong’s was red, Song Fenghua’s was blue, and Lin Weining’s was white. The eight girls placed their microphones together, took a photo, and put them away happily.
With the room allocation completed, the director smiled and said, “Although it’s a group variety show, as the first variety show of Universal Entertainment, we discussed with the leaders of the variety show department. We want to gradually turn everyone’s group variety show into a regular variety show. In the future, we will also invite other artists to participate, so please don’t hesitate to show your charm and have fun.”
“Today’s recording can be edited into two episodes. The next recording will be after you all debut.”
Everyone nodded and sat on the carpet to eat. Jiang Qiong didn’t guess correctly, but the delicious food prepared by the director received unanimous praise, especially the dumplings made by Jiang Qiong’s mother and the stewed ribs.
“There are two more things to do next,” the director said. “Please come up with a name for our group variety show!”
“Happy Kindergarten?” Xin Nuo said seriously, but Xu Heran hugged her and pretended to bite her. Xin Nuo tilted her head back to avoid Xu Heran’s mouth and laughed, “Little Sunflower Class.”
“Fairy Descends to Earth!” Haya said.
Lin Weining asked her, “Are you serious?”
“Mhmm, Fairy on Earth?” Haya said, laughing mischievously.
“…”
The director raised the microphone, “Please think seriously!”
Xu Heran, feeling full, started to feel drowsy. Her eyelids drooped slightly, and she leaned back, resting on the couch, muttering, “Stars Colliding!”
“Stars Colliding!”
“Just play!”
“Play whatever.”
“Come play with me.”
“What should we play today?”
The director’s eyes lit up. “Got the idea.”
“We will consider everyone’s opinions. Once the variety show name is decided, we’ll let everyone know in the group,” the director said. “So, let’s move on to our last segment for today. You’re about to debut soon. The company has received a lot of music submissions from musicians and music companies, including our team members. Xu Heran and Jian Yueyin have also submitted music to the company.”
“After the music department’s selection, we have a batch of demo songs for you to listen to. The lyrics haven’t been composed yet, but we have printed copies for you to take a look,” the director said. “These will be your debut songs. The company wants to hear everyone’s opinions.”
Xin Nuo raised her hand, gently supporting Xu Heran’s head as she was about to fall asleep.
All eight of them put on their headphones, and the director began to play the music.
Xu Heran lifted her head, staring at the ceiling with open eyes, but three seconds later, her head fell back down.
“Mm…”
“It sounds good,” she struggled to say.
The company had selected three completed production songs and three instrumental tracks. Xu Heran found all of them quite pleasant.
“I want to see the lyrics,” she struggled to sit up. Haya, sitting beside her, handed out copies for everyone. There were more lyrics, a total of seven sheets. Xu Heran looked through them one by one. When she reached a certain page, she suddenly burst into laughter, placing the paper over her face. Everyone immediately knew that her lyrics had passed and praised her, asking her which one it was.
“I’m not telling you~” Xu Heran said with a mischievous smile.
“Hmph!”
Jian Yueyin looked through the seven sets of lyrics and asked with a smile, “Do the company’s plans align with our group’s style?”
Cui Qi glanced at Xu Heran and raised an eyebrow.
Xu Heran chuckled, “Our style is our own!”
“Can the debut song be of any style?” Jian Yueyin asked again.
Laurel pulled out one set of lyrics and said with a smile, “Is this one written by Yueyin?”
Everyone had confidence in Jian Yueyin’s ability to write lyrics.
Song Fenghua whispered, “Which one, 《Fading》 or 《Redemption》?”
《Stellar Catch》 Jian Yueyin replied with a smile.
She laughed without saying more.
“Find the most heart-wrenching one!” Jiang Qiong said. “The beginning of 《Stellar Catch》 feels sorrowful, but the end is strong. I guess Yueyin wrote 《Fading》 right? But why are there so many emotional songs? Aren’t we a vibrant and beautiful girl group? Shouldn’t we be full of energy on stage? Xu Heran, is this 《Yaco》 song written by you?”
“What~” Xu Heran pretended to be clueless.
Jiang Qiong looked at her suspiciously and playfully attacked, “The title feels a bit childish, doesn’t it?”
Xu Heran narrowed her eyes and smiled, “If you say so, then it is. I’m not upset anyway.”
“Oh?” Jiang Qiong was puzzled.
“Everyone got the impression, right? I will place a ballot box in the living room. Write down the song title you like and drop it into the box. The deadline is midnight tonight. I will send the results to the music department’s producers,” the director said with a smile. “Tomorrow, the music department will have another meeting to discuss and decide our debut song. Everyone, work hard. See you on our debut night!”
“Oh oh oh!”
Xin Nuo raised her hand to hit the clapboard, signaling the end of the recording. Xu Heran collapsed onto the couch with a clatter.
“I can’t go on. I’m about to die from sleepiness.”
Cui Qi quickly walked over and said with a smile, “The upstairs rooms are being arranged. Everyone can rest downstairs for a while. Ranran, so sleepy? Want to lie down on the couch and take a nap?”
Xu Heran could hardly keep her eyes open. She managed to mumble, “Mmm.”
Xin Nuo got up, checked the time—it was 3:30 in the afternoon—and realized they had been recording since 9 in the morning.
“I need to go to the hospital,” Xin Nuo said.
“Sure, I’ll have someone accompany you,” Cui Qi said. She lowered her voice, “If anything like this morning happens again, just call me directly.”
Xu Heran grabbed the hem of Xin Nuo’s skirt.
“What’s going on? I’m going too!”
“You stay at home and sleep,” Xin Nuo said.
Xu Heran didn’t let go.
“What’s happening?” others asked.
The staff in the living room were evacuating. Everyone took off their microphones and returned them to the sound engineer. The only ones who could hear her voice were friends.
Friends.
Xin Nuo savored the word, feeling quite content.
“Not much, I was at the hospital yesterday as a companion, and this morning I was blocked by the Dream Entertainment manager,” she whispered.
Everyone understood the reason for her lateness.
Jian Yueyin frowned, “You just signed, and they’re already trying to poach you?”
“Dream Entertainment seems like it’s gone crazy. Whoever they see, they try to poach,” Haya said.
Cui Qi shook her head, saying, “It’s not about whoever they see, they haven’t debuted yet, but they’re gaining fame. They’re future prospects. Who wouldn’t want to poach you? It all depends on how thick-skinned you are.”
“Starting this year, Dream Entertainment is taking this approach, focusing on olive-branching artists in the middle and upper-middle tiers of various companies.”
Xu Heran closed her eyes, gripping onto Xin Nuo’s clothes, repeating, “I’m going with you.”
Xin Nuo grabbed her wrist, “You’re so tired. Just sleep.”
“I’ll sleep in the car.”
Xu Heran didn’t let go. Xin Nuo had no choice but to take her out. Cui Qi thought it wasn’t a bad idea for Xu Heran to go as well. At least there would be more people around Xin Nuo. The Dream Entertainment manager was opportunistic, but with so many people around, there wouldn’t be much room for him to intervene.
As it turned out, that wasn’t necessarily true.
Xin Nuo was transferring her mother to another hospital. She had already taken her mother to the chosen nursing home in the morning. All that was left at the hospital were formalities. Before leaving the hospital, she changed her baseball cap to a sun hat and put on a different outfit. After successfully completing the procedures, she left the hospital.
Xu Heran had fallen asleep in the car. Xin Nuo thought for a moment and had the driver park the car next to a café on a nearby street. Their cakes were quite good, made with quality ingredients. Xin Nuo thought of buying one for Xu Heran to have in the afternoon.
Not long after she entered, a man walked in.
“May I have a few words with you?”
Xin Nuo lifted her head slightly, her black eyes beneath the brim of her hat as cold as ice. She let out an impatient “tch.”
These people, she hadn’t gone looking for trouble with them yet, but now they were coming to her one by one.
Right, these people, they really enjoy overthinking things, don’t they?
Xin Nuo thought coldly, lifted her head slightly, and glanced at the man with an expressionless face. Mu Yiyue.
Mu Yiyue, who had risen to fame earlier this year in a streak of successful movies and TV dramas, winning the Best Actor award and becoming Dream Entertainment’s number one. Now, the top star of the entertainment industry held a bouquet of flowers in his hand, his demeanor graceful. Without waiting for Xin Nuo’s agreement, he pulled out a chair, sat across from her, and began speaking.
Objectively speaking, Mu Yiyue’s appearance was indeed exceptional. He had a handsome face with attractive features. At the very least, in terms of looks, he was worthy of being a top star. Moreover, his acting skills were quite good.
Otherwise, in her previous life, Xin Nuo wouldn’t have been fooled by his hypocritical façade, thinking he was a righteous gentleman, upright as jade. When news of the interactions between the rising starlets and the reigning Best Actor emerged late at night, she had even patiently explained that they were just ordinary colleagues, feeling grateful to Mu Yiyue for recommending her and allowing her to enter Dream Entertainment.
After that, Xin Nuo became linked to Mu Yiyue in various ways—she was portrayed as chasing after him, seducing him, and the headlines grew more and more sensational. Whenever her name was trending due to some issue, Mu Yiyue’s name would inevitably appear.
She had gained some fame even when leaving 《Starlight Girls》 and although there were a few scandals, her popularity remained stable. Later, as she acted in movies and TV dramas, her fame continued to rise. However, she couldn’t shake off Mu Yiyue.
Later, Xin Nuo came to realize that all these trending topics were orchestrated by Mu Yiyue. The actor who had skyrocketed to fame six years prior, appearing in one hit after another, had tied himself to Xin Nuo. His popularity hadn’t waned due to the association; instead, he had become Xin Nuo’s dream lover in the minds of many, a hidden love of a popular actor who frequently participated in variety shows, the conversation never straying far from Xin Nuo.
Xin Nuo had questioned Mu Yiyue about it. She still remembered the expression on his face at that moment.
“We’re all colleagues. Isn’t this beneficial for both of us?” The man looked at her with an innocent and surprised expression, speaking calmly, “Moreover, didn’t you say I owe you a favor? Gratitude is a virtue, Ms Xin. I don’t understand why you’d be angry over such a trivial matter.”
“Of course, if you think we’re suitable, I wouldn’t mind considering it.” Mu Yiyue said with a smile, “We could even pretend to be a fake couple. After all, in this day and age, popularity is everything.”
At that time, Xin Nuo was 24 years old, just a step away from becoming a Best Actress. Meanwhile, this actor who hadn’t had any projects for six years was a whole forty years old.
There was a sixteen-year age gap between them, and a certain Xu Heran was right in the middle.
Thinking of Xu Heran, a beam of sunshine pierced through Xin Nuo’s gloomy heart. She turned her head, glanced at the window, where the nanny car was parked by the roadside. The image of the girl, who always warmed her heart when she thought about her, was peacefully sleeping in the car.
“Ms Xin?” Mu Yiyue furrowed his brows. He didn’t like feeling ignored. He placed the bouquet of flowers he had specially prepared on the table and pushed it toward Xin Nuo. “This is a small gift I’ve prepared for you. I hope you like it.”
Without thinking, Xin Nuo pushed her feet off the ground, causing the chair beneath her to slide back abruptly.
“Squeak—”
The chair legs scraped against the floor, emitting a harsh sound. In the sparsely populated café on a workday, everyone turned their attention to Xin Nuo.
Mu Yiyue’s smile froze under his mask. He paused with his hand on the bouquet, then raised it slightly. He briefly pulled down his mask, revealing his face to Xin Nuo. However, as if afraid of others seeing, he quickly put the mask back on.
“Now, Ms Xin should recognize me, right?” Mu Yiyue said with a smile.
Even if I turned to ashes, I’d recognize you, but I really wish you’d turn to ashes.
Xin Nuo thought, her arms crossed.
Her black eyes revealed a sincerely puzzled look, and she whispered, “I’m sorry… I don’t know you, did you mistake me for someone else?”
“Sir, are you here for a blind date?” Xin Nuo whispered, “You must have mistaken me for someone else. I just started college this year. I’m not the person you’re supposed to meet. I’m sorry.”
After saying this, she stood up, ready to leave.
Mu Yiyue immediately got up too and stopped her. “Wait, Ms Xin.”
Xin Nuo quickly stepped back, raising her arm to shield herself, watching him with vigilance and caution.
“What are you trying to do? I’ll call the police!”
The café’s wait staff noticed the commotion, their expressions filled with suspicion.
“…”
Mu Yiyue felt a layer of humiliation settle over his heart. He couldn’t believe that someone didn’t recognize him, especially this year. He took a deep breath and forced a smile. “I’m Mu Yiyue from Dream Entertainment, I’m an artist. I came here to apologize to Ms Xin for what happened this morning.”
“Please, sit down. I just want to say a few things, it won’t take long,” Mu Yiyue said.
The little voice in Xin Nuo’s mind raised an eyebrow. She didn’t really want to involve a stranger in this mess. She maintained a cautious expression toward Mu Yiyue, keeping her distance as she sat down.
Mu Yiyue nudged the bouquet he had prepared forward again and smiled.
“Congratulations on your debut, Ms Xin. The entertainment industry has gained another shining superstar. I’m genuinely happy for you. However, having been in this industry for many years, there are a few things I’d like to say to you.” Mu Yiyue’s tone was sincere. “I heard you signed with Universal Entertainment, and I can’t help but feel sad for you. Universal Entertainment might seem promising, but it’s a new company that’s not mature or well-rounded in various aspects. It can’t provide you with a mature plan for your future, and…”
He changed his tone, lowered his voice, “Universal Entertainment is owned by the heiress of the Universal Group. All the resources within it are ultimately meant to elevate her. The rest of you are just there to accompany her. To put it bluntly, you poor young ladies can only pick up the crumbs left by Xu Heran.”
Xin Nuo remained motionless, her expression under the mask unclear, only her dark, shiny eyes gave nothing away.
“If you truly want a bright future, Dream Entertainment is a good choice. It’s an established entertainment company with a renowned reputation in the industry. There are many highly popular artists there, and…” he smiled, “With me at Dream Entertainment, I’m this year’s winner of the Double Echo Golden Actor Award.”
“…”
Xin Nuo remained silent.
Ten seconds later, the confident smile on Mu Yiyue’s face faded, his gaze locked onto Xin Nuo’s eyes.
“You…”
“When my grandmother was alive, she taught me how to read faces,” Xin Nuo suddenly spoke.
Mu Yiyue swallowed his words, inexplicably looking at her.
Xin Nuo raised her hand, her fair fingers nudging her hat slightly, her eyes narrowing. “Take your mask off again so I can have a look.”
A flicker of intrigue crossed Mu Yiyue’s mind, and he chuckled. “Little girl, so you wanted to get another look at my face, huh? Just say it.”
The girl across from him didn’t respond immediately. Mu Yiyue, thinking he had figured it out, removed his mask. This time, he didn’t rush to put it back on.
“Uh,” Xin Nuo suddenly frowned, “Your face…”
Mu Yiyue smiled gently, his gaze soft as he looked at her. “What did you see?”
“I see…” Xin Nuo whispered, “Your heart is unscrupulous, and you’ll end up in ruin!”
“?!?”
What words could be more malicious for a popular artist like him?
Mu Yiyue’s eyes widened suddenly, his expression slightly contorted, anger flaring up in his chest. He stood up abruptly, pointed at Xin Nuo, and cursed, “I sacrificed my own time to come here with good intentions to advise you, and you curse me instead! Do you believe that I can make you unable to stay in this industry?”
Xin Nuo raised an eyebrow. “Really? I didn’t—”
“Thud!”
A large bouquet of flowers fell from the sky, crashing onto the empty coffee table and pressing down on the small bundle of red roses.
The massive bouquet had over a hundred stems, hastily wrapped with ribbons and packaging paper. The leaves of the flowers were untrimmed, and some stems protruded from the bottom. Fully bloomed flowers were squished together with unopened buds, and pink petals scattered across the white tablecloth.
Xin Nuo: “…?”
She looked up and saw an angry little face.
“What are you doing?” Xu Heran still held another bundle of white roses in her arms, similarly untrimmed and unprepared. There seemed to be quite a few of them.
“Trying to confess or something? You just met her, and you’re already doing this?” Xu Heran angrily spoke to Mu Yiyue, “Bringing just a few flowers, and you’re angry about being rejected? Are you out of your mind?”
Xin Nuo: “Pfft.”
“See? At least do it like me, gracefully!” Xu Heran exclaimed.
Mu Yiyue was dumbfounded. “Nonsense! How could I possibly confess to her? Do you even know who I am?”
Xu Heran looked at him. “Your face looks a bit familiar…”
Just as the expression on the man’s face seemed to soften, he heard Xu Heran’s next sentence.
“I don’t know why, but just looking at you annoys me!”
Mu Yiyue: “…”
“Get lost, don’t disturb our little lover’s date. Don’t you know this girl has a partner?” Xu Heran reached out to Xin Nuo and pulled her to the side.
“Don’t believe it? Go online and find out. Who doesn’t know she’s my girlfriend?”
Xu Heran glared at Mu Yiyue, then suddenly turned his head and planted a “muah” kiss on Xin Nuo’s face.
Mu Yiyue: “!”
Though masked, Xu Heran’s kiss brought a sudden surge of happiness to Xin Nuo. Even the anger that arose from seeing a stranger send her flowers through the window and stand up to talk to her had dissipated.
With a smug “hmph,” she stood up straight and looked triumphantly at Mu Yiyue.
The pink-haired girl pondered for a moment and felt the need to express her disdain more towards this man she found annoying, though she didn’t know him at all.
So, she dropped the other bouquet of roses from her embrace, placed her fingers beneath her eyelids, pulled them down, and stuck out her tongue.
“Whatever!”
