Grab The Heroine and Run Away Ch. 52.2
The song 《WTF》 suddenly played, and Little Pearl immediately recalled her “glorious” past and rushed out. Haya from the red team wasn’t to be outdone. The two led the dance in the front.
Xin Nuo shouted, “456! Not 654!”
Xu Heran, dancing facing Haya, shouted, “Doesn’t matter!”
Xin Nuo: “…”
A whistle blew.
With a total of 594 heartbeats for the red team and 487 for the blue team, the three girls who had been struggling to control their heartbeats were left speechless.
Under the scrutiny of her three teammates, Xu Heran took a step back and flashed a pleasing smile.
“Very close now, I’m just not skilled enough. I’m sure I can do it this time!”
Xu Pearl raised her hand and patted the shoulders of three people in succession, finally letting her palm rest on Xin Nuo’s shoulder. Following her arm, Little Pearl hugged Xin Nuo and chuckled, “I was wrong.”
“One more time, and I’ll kick you out of the team,” Xin Nuo threatened.
“Yeah, yeah.”
Xu Heran laughed as she nuzzled Xin Nuo’s cheek.
For the third time, it was 650.
When the music started, the eight girls danced like crazy. Xu Heran jumped and shouted, “Dear audience friends! Please watch our 《As You Wish》Where else can you see Xin Nuo dancing with headbanging and Song Fenghua dancing while holding onto a tree! And the future rock star, Jian Yueyin! But here, you can see it!”
“Shut up!”
The three members of the blue team shouted simultaneously.
“Get hyped!”
“Beep!”
The whistle blew, and the eight breathless girls lying on the ground all raised their hands, “Is it okay now?”
The assistant directors had calculators and pressed them rapidly.
“Blue team, 682, red team, 695!” the director shouted.
“Ah…”
Moans filled the air on the grass, and even Xin Nuo felt somewhat disheartened.
Director Liu raised the bullhorn, “Exercise is good for your health!”
Xu Heran immediately rolled her eyes and gasped, “Uncle Liu, don’t you ever get tied up in a sack when you go out?”
“The society has improved,” Director Liu sighed.
They tried two more times, and in the end, the program’s rules were changed to the team closest to the number winning. In the very last round, after Director Liu drew 520, the blue team narrowly won due to three motionless jumping girls.
“The winning team can choose either an identity hint or a mission hint, and the chosen hint can only be seen by yourself and cannot be shared,” Director Liu said.
“Blue team, please choose whether you want an identity hint or a mission hint,” Director Liu asked.
A few members of the blue team waved their hands, “Whatever.”
“Identity,” Xin Nuo said.
The eight people rested for a moment, slowly stood up, and each received an envelope from the director.
“What is it?” a member of the red team exclaimed, “Can’t you share a little bit with us?”
The director immediately said, “No, you can’t!”
The four members of the blue team stood in different places, took out the envelopes, and looked down at the hints. They all had puzzled expressions at the same time.
“What does it mean?”
“I don’t understand,” Jian Yueyin whispered. Xu Heran looked down again and nodded in agreement.
The director said, “Alright, now that everyone has warmed up, you can have lunch.”
Xu Heran scratched her head and tucked the hint into her shoulder bag. Each of them had a shoulder bag that matched their outfit color. In addition to the hint, the director gave the winning team twenty star coins and the losing team ten.
Breakfast was plentiful. After exercising, everyone sat in the cool garden and chatted in the breeze.
Lin Weining whispered, “Did you hear that Uncle Liu said it’s a warm-up?”
Someone was drinking milk and almost choked on it.
“I think Uncle Liu has a grudge against us! He wants to send us to the Western Heaven!”
“Journey to the West?” Xu Heran said while nibbling on a bun.
Xin Nuo immediately looked at her, “Wukong, don’t eat too much. If you get sleepy, our team will be done for.”
Xu Heran looked aggrieved, “Pearl has to run again, and Pearl can’t eat enough.”
“Drink milk to grow tall,” Xin Nuo placed a glass of milk in front of Xu Heran.
Laurel said, “Still growing?”
“Do you want to surpass Haya?”
Xu Heran said, “Isn’t there still some distance to catch up with Haya?”
Haya laughed, “At your speed, you’ll catch up to me in another month.”
“It won’t be that fast. Hasn’t she not grown much in these two months?” Xin Nuo shook her head.
Song Fenghua asked in surprise, “Tired?”
“Overworked?” Jiang Qiong exclaimed immediately.
Xu Heran’s facial features twisted.
But Little Pearl couldn’t stand hearing these words.
“The doctor said my growth rate is just right, and I still need more time to grow!” Xu Heran said unhappily, “My growth plates haven’t closed yet.”
“Alright, fine. Pearl, grow tall quickly,” Xin Nuo placed a peeled egg into her plate, “Don’t put down your chopsticks, let’s rest for a while.”
Haya, who was about to put down her chopsticks, waved her arm in the air, laughing, “Then we can eat all morning.”
“Director Liu is so scary, no wonder people online call him the dog director,” Laurel covered her mouth and said.
“Cough!” Director Liu raised the megaphone, “I heard that, the microphone is still on.”
The eight girls were immediately shocked, inhaling sharply.
Eavesdropping, table faces!
The photographers standing in front of the table with cameras burst into laughter.
“Sister, why are you working two jobs?” Xu Heran asked the photographer sister they met every week.
The photographer sister sighed, “A working person.”
“Ah, I’m also a working pearl,” Xu Heran sighed along.
“You’re Pearl,” Xin Nuo put down her chopsticks and patted her, “Let’s go.”
After everyone finished their meal, the program team’s van carried them to Universal Entertainment Building. The next task would take place there.
The second task was an indoor relay quiz. The two teams stood in the spacious lobby, with one member from each team answering various bizarre questions. The person who answered correctly could take a big step forward. The team that reached the finish line first would win.
Three rounds, two wins. The winning team for this task was still the blue team.
Jiang Qiong asked, “Is it because there’s a strange little pearl next door that you guys can answer these strange questions correctly?”
“I’d be happy as long as they don’t give me questions from the college entrance exam,” Laurel sighed.
Director Liu’s eyes lit up, instructing someone to take note of this information. The girls who saw this scene had darkened expressions, and their fists clenched unconsciously.
“You can still choose between identity hints or task hints,” the director said.
“What should we choose?” Compared to the previous round, everyone took the hints selection very seriously.
Xu Heran said in distress, “Honestly, I didn’t quite understand the previous hint.”
Xin Nuo immediately patted her head and smiled, “Why not tell your big sister? Let her analyze it for you?”
“I can also help you analyze, dear sister,” Jian Yueyin said with a smile.
Song Fenghua’s gaze landed on Xu Heran.
Xu Heran: “…”
“No need to provoke!” Little Pearl stood up straight, crossing her arms in front of her chest.
“How about we choose the identity hint again?” Jian Yueyin suggested, “Since we’ve already chosen a path, let’s stick to it no matter what.”
“And then walk blindly into a wall?” Xin Nuo chuckled, “Sure.”
Song Fenghua had no objections either, and everyone received their identity hints again.
Xin Nuo went to a corner and opened the envelope.
“The Red Overlord can’t resist your blade.”
Xin Nuo: “…”
“???”
She looked up and saw the expressions of the others, only to find that the other three members of the blue team seemed somewhat confused.
Great, since no one understood, then there’s no problem.
Xin Nuo relievedly put the envelope back into her bag.
Xu Heran tucked the hint deep into her backpack, scratched her head, looked at Xin Nuo, and their gazes met. Xu Heran immediately displayed a radiant smile.
After this round of the task, everyone went to the cafeteria for a simple meal and rest. In the afternoon, the third task awaited them.
“Let’s win a round! Please!” Jiang Qiong said, “Can’t we share the hint a little?”
“No, identity hints are about oneself and can’t be shared,” Jian Yueyin said.
Jiang Qiong sowed discord, “Oh my god, your team can’t share with each other? What a fake friendship!”
The four members of the red team nodded repeatedly. In the afternoon task, they finally won and received the task hint.
“Task Hint: Be careful of the people around you.”
The four members of the red team looked at each other warily.
Xu Heran, with her hands behind her back, smiled and said, “Why not share with each other?”
Jiang Qiong waved her hand repeatedly, “No, no. False is false. Only victory is real!”
Laurel blew a big bubble with her chewing gum, and it burst with a “pop.”
For the final task, two nanny cars carried the eight people and stopped at the entrance of the park.
“The final task begins! Everyone rock-paper-scissors to determine the order of entry into the park based on the rankings of victory. Every minute, one person will enter. Treasures are hidden all around the park. Everyone can search carefully, and there might be unexpected discoveries.”
Xin Nuo waved to everyone and was the first to enter the park.
She hadn’t walked far when she suddenly saw people holding small flags, wearing pointed hats, and clothes with the character “soldier” on them walking back and forth.
“What’s going on…” Xin Nuo was a bit surprised. As she walked in, she heard them chatting with each other.
“Did you hear? It’s so terrifying!”
“Yeah, scared of the soldier babies to death!”
Xin Nuo discreetly kept a distance from the soldier babies who were around 1.8 meters tall.
Xu Heran was the third to enter. With her hands behind her back, she walked into the park.
During the day, when they were recording at the Universal Building, the park had been decorated by the staff. Various colorful flags and balloons were hung on tree branches and resting chairs. Ribbons fluttered in the air, and all sorts of odd people were walking around.
“Are you a rabbit?” Xu Heran playfully grabbed a staff member in a costume, “Feeling hot?”
The staff member shook their head repeatedly and managed to escape from Pearl’s grip.
“Nuo Nuo!” Xu Heran shouted loudly in the empty park.
Xin Nuo, who was searching for things in the square, quickly stood up, “I’m here!”
Soon, Xu Heran and Xin Nuo met up.
Xu Heran glanced at the booth in the center of the square, “What’s this?”
“It’s an exchange point. You can use the stars you’ve earned from winning today’s tasks to exchange for hints,” Xin Nuo pointed at the blackboard in front of the booth. On the small blackboard was written:
Canyon Exchange Point
Personal Identity Hint 50 stars, Inventory: 1
Designated Person Identity Hint 50 stars, Inventory: 1
Mission Hint Card 50 stars, Inventory: 1
Lucky Lollipop 10 stars
Lucky Sticker 20 stars
Xu Heran immediately asked, “Did you exchange?”
Xin Nuo shook her head, “I think there should be hints in the park. I want to find the hints first before considering exchanging.”
Little Pearl’s eyes lit up, “I’ll go with you!”
“No, you go by yourself,” Xin Nuo told Xu Heran, “It’s faster to search together. And I feel like something was off when the Red Team saw the hint last time, and also the fact that we were allowed to enter the park one by one in the end…”
“I think our team can disband now?”
“But our spirits will never disband!” Xu Heran spread her arms wide, “Let’s have a farewell hug!”
Xin Nuo chuckled and pinched her cheek, “Go quickly!”
Xu Heran held her index and middle fingers together and pointed outward from her forehead, putting on a cool expression.
Eight minutes later, all eight girls were placed in the park.
In late autumn, the sunlight grew shorter, and the evening glow spread across the sky, reflecting in the lake.
“It’s so beautiful!” Xu Heran couldn’t help but exclaim. The little soldiers on the path dodged her as they walked. When they heard her, they nodded in agreement, “Beautiful.”
Xu Heran paused, turned around immediately, and was astonished.
“Sasa!”
“Why are you here, Sasa!” Xu Heran said in delight.
Sasa, wearing a pointed hat and holding a small flag, saw Pearl’s expression change and turned to run, “Don’t come over here!”
“Why are you running?” Xu Heran chased after her with excitement.
Lin Weining said to Haya next to her, “I think I heard Sasa’s voice?”
“Hmm?” Haya rubbed her ear, “I heard someone shouting.”
Lin Weining held tightly to the thing in her arms.
“It’s okay, we’re together,” Haya comforted her with a pat on her shoulder.
At this moment, a voice came from afar.
“You two! Separate!” Jiang Qiong held a card in her hand and pointed at them, “Don’t pretend anymore. Tell me, between you two, who’s the traitor!”
“Traitor?” Haya asked in confusion, “What do you mean? Did you find a hint?”
“There’s a traitor in our team, so the final hint is about this?” Lin Weining said.
Jiang Qiong looked at them with puzzlement, “You really don’t know?”
Both girls innocently shook their heads.
Jiang Qiong looked at them intently and chose to believe, “Alright, I’ll show you the hint I found.”
She pulled out the card from the envelope.
“Mission Hint: Final mission is an individual battle.”
“Everyone needs to be on guard,” Jiang Qiong raised her finger and wagged it.
“Weining and I swapped identity cards,” Haya whispered, “Don’t you feel like the final mission is a bit familiar?”
Jiang Qiong narrowed her eyes, “The hint on the blackboard at the exchange booth is pretty obvious.”
The three exchanged glances, a mix of suspicion and confusion in their expressions.
Haya was the first to say, “It’s about the Canyon. I think I’m the Archer. My hint is: The scent of gunpowder lingers at your barrel.”
Seeing her honesty, Jiang Qiong felt embarrassed, “I don’t know who I am, really. I also chose the identity hint, which says I am the origin of everything.”
“Origin?” Lin Weining hadn’t played games and didn’t understand.
“Could you be Crystal?” The three couldn’t quite comprehend and planned to go take another look. Before leaving, Lin Weining asked Jiang Qiong to try opening the box in her hand, but Jiang Qiong couldn’t open it.
“I found it in the park. There should be many more hints,” Lin Weining said.
“Good evening!” Xu Heran waved to Song Fenghua, “Did you find a hint?”
Song Fenghua nodded and showed her the hint.
“Identity Hint: Aimed at the muzzle, the origin crumbles.”
Xu Heran scratched her head and shared her hint with Song Fenghua.
“Identity Hint: Blue and Red on opposing paths, Red decides to retaliate.”
“Weird stuff,” Xu Heran said.
Song Fenghua said, “I found a bag of star coins.”
She pulled out a transparent bag from her bag, containing ten star coins in total, with a sticker attached to the bag’s opening. Xu Heran glanced at it and chuckled, “If you find more, you can directly exchange them for hints!”
“I’m going to keep looking for hints!” Xu Heran waved to her, “Bye bye~, let’s share information when we have hints.”
Song Fenghua nodded, “Alright.”
As Xu Heran searched for hints, she looked for Xin Nuo. The sky grew dark, and the park’s lights came on. Xu Heran bumped into Xin Nuo as she was receiving water from the director.
“Nuo Nuo!”
“Come here quickly,” Xin Nuo waved to her, “Try opening this box, can you?”
Xu Heran hurried over, and Xin Nuo placed the box in her hands. A piece of paper was stuck to the box, saying, “Only the designated person can open it.”
“I’ll try,” Xu Heran took the mineral water from Xin Nuo’s hand, unscrewed the cap, and handed it back to her. Then she picked up the box and shook it.
At this moment, the accompanying director behind her whispered, “Heran can open this box.”
Xin Nuo: “???”
Xu Heran: “???”
The two exchanged a glance, and Xu Heran took the key handed to her by the accompanying director.
Inside the box was a large red gem and a card.
“You are Red Tyrant Howl, you can summon three Red [Censored] for three minutes, with a usage limit of one.”
“Ah!” Xu Heran immediately understood, “So this is about the Canyon! I’m Red Tyrant Howl!”
“What about Nuo Nuo?” Xu Heran asked Xin Nuo excitedly.
Xin Nuo looked puzzled, “It’s the game you guys often play, right?”
Xu Heran nodded and took out the hint she found to show Xin Nuo.
“So this is our Canyon Showdown, another individual battle, but the rules are different. Like me, I can only attack Blue Tyrant Howl, attacks from others are ineffective.”
She handed a stack of hints to Xin Nuo. Xin Nuo’s gaze flickered slightly, and seeing Xu Heran’s sincerity, she also showed her the hints she had found.
“We each have weapons, and only when we find our own weapons can we attack others.”
At this point, Xin Nuo suddenly chuckled. She extended her finger and pointed at the mission victory card she had received.
“Your blade is invincible.”
“Red Tyrant Howl cannot resist your blade.”
“Huh, so, the person I can attack is you?”
Xu Heran’s pupils slowly dilated, and she swallowed nervously. Little Pearl pitifully said, “Don’t, don’t attack me!”
“You’ve already struck my heart, big sister!”
Xin Nuo shook her head in disdain, “No cheesy sweet talk from you.”
“Don’t hurt me, please.” Xu Heran grabbed Xin Nuo’s hand, pleading, “I’ll help you defeat them all! I have a weapon, and together, we’re unbeatable!”
Xin Nuo deliberately raised her leg and propped it on the other one, adopting a proud posture. “We’ll see how I feel.”
“Big sister~” Xu Heran massaged Xin Nuo attentively and took the opportunity to touch Xin Nuo’s face, only to get her hand slapped away by Xin Nuo.
Meanwhile, Jian Yueyin, who had been diligently searching in the bushes, turned her head and smiled at the camera. She pulled a snowy white envelope from the bushes, retrieved a card from it.
“Mission hint: The evil dragon is hidden among you.”
One minute later.
“Lin Weining eliminated.”

I am not gonna try to fully comprehend it in full. Everything finally made sense on Ch 54.
