Grab The Heroine and Run Away Ch. 73.2

u Heran’s eyes lit up, “No problem, I’ll let you both ascend together!”

Jian Yueyin immediately turned and held Song Fenghua’s hand, “You must carry out my final wish and survive in this cold, heartless, cruel, dark, and icy palace.”

Song Fenghua suppressed the corners of her mouth from turning upwards and nodded.

“No need!” At this moment, Xin Nuo suddenly stood up, “Everyone, don’t panic. I’ve added poison to the water I gave to Your Majesty. From now on, she will be desireless and abstain from sexual contact!”

Xu Heran: OWO

Others: OoO

Xu Heran gulped down saliva, using her wits, “I know you’ve poisoned me with this kind of drug. I drank it because you’re carrying my child!”

Xin Nuo: “… Huh?”

Others: OOO

“Don’t worry, although you poisoned me, I still care for you! Go ahead and bear the child…” Xu Heran gazed tenderly at Xin Nuo, “I promise, no one can take you and the child’s position in my heart!”

Xin Nuo: “…………”

Jiang Qiong looked at Xin Nuo’s blushing face, angry and embarrassed, and couldn’t help but whisper, “So, you’re desireless now.”

Xu Heran looked at Xin Nuo and also whispered, “Is this medicine slow to take effect? I don’t think it’s working yet.”

“Smack!”

After a long time, the mighty Pearl made a comeback.

Xu Heran held her head and laughed, “Darling, take care of yourself, don’t hurt our child!”

Jian Yueyin stood up and held Jiang Qiong’s arm, “Let’s go, we’ll ascend together. The palace is too terrifying, let’s leave quickly.”

Laurel put away the rolling pin in silence, “I’ll go prepare a pregnancy-stabilizing medicine for Princess.”

Haya scratched her head, “Where’s the lake where you can peep at fairies?”

Only Song Fenghua remembered her and Jian Yueyin’s grand plan. She said to Xu Heran, “Please pay compensation, I want to become the emperor.”

Xu Heran rubbed her head and burst into laughter.

“Please!”

The nth random script challenge from SGS came to an end, still amidst chaotic scenes.

When packing up, Jiang Qiong saw Sister Liu sitting cross-legged, tearing up the scripts she hadn’t chosen one by one, her expression heavy. Friendly Dog Woof Woof walked over and asked with a smile, “Can we air the recording today?”

Little Liu, the director, gritted her teeth, “As long as it’s in my hands, there’s nothing that can’t be aired!”

“Oh wow!” Jiang Qiong raised her thumb, “Impressive, Sister Liu, you’re awesome!”

“But don’t expect to do random script challenges again in the future!” Little Liu, the director, thought it over and spoke solemnly, “I’m afraid of Sister Cui’s shrimp impersonation.”

“Hahaha!”

Xu Heran followed Xin Nuo upstairs. With her hands behind her back, the pearls on her headpiece swayed with her steps. The tall girl walked with her hands behind her back and smiled, “Are you angry?”

Xin Nuo lowered her head slightly, “Why would I be angry?”

“Hmm?” Xu Heran whispered, “So, Nono also wants to bear my child—”

“I’m shutting up.” Sensing the killing intent, Xu Heran quickly changed her words, “Just kidding.”

“Hmph.” Xin Nuo grabbed the doorknob, turned around, and scanned Xu Heran from head to toe, her gaze full of meaning.

“Xu Zhu,” the girl with black eyes bit her lower lip and smirked, “You little fool.”

“Do you understand?”

“Snap.”

The door closed in front of Xu Heran, and the seventeen-year-old Little Pearl raised her hand and touched her ear.

Understand or not…

At night, a certain Little Pearl took out the gift that Doggie had given her, flipping open the little booklet inside.

“What a great era,” Xu Heran sighed leisurely, tucking the booklet under her pillow.

In the middle of the night, Xu Heran got up from the bed to take a shower, rubbing her head. She retrieved the booklet and tossed it into the trash can, erasing all traces.

“This is too exciting.”

Little Pearl, stimulated by scenes in her dreams, covered her face and murmured.

SGS’s variety show recording from June didn’t air until late July. By then, FYU had just finished their summer schedule. The group collectively faced interviews for the last time before their next album production.

A cheerful entertainment journalist turned to Lin Weining and asked, “Does Ning Ning know about Xin Nuo’s pregnancy?”

Under the watchful eyes of everyone, the usually gentle and quiet girl’s expression suddenly changed. The people present had never seen Lin Weining widen her eyes so much.

The journalist, enjoying the spectacle, pressed on, “How many months along is she?”

“What…?” Lin Weining’s expression froze, her mind buzzing.

Who’s pregnant, and what’s going on?

Huh?

“She’s carrying Her Majesty’s child. Ning Ning, did you miss the latest variety show episode?” another journalist said with a smile.

Ah… I see…

So that’s how it is…

She kind of understands…

Maybe.

Lin Weining’s expression turned blank. She held the microphone, “Um… I still have time to watch. I’ve been really busy lately.”

“With SGS’s new album releasing in September and your transition from FYU’s schedule to the new album’s production immediately, it’s been a year where everyone can tell you’ve been working hard. Do you harbor any grievances towards the company?” The journalist continued.

Without hesitation, Lin Weining responded, “Of course not. I’m very grateful for the opportunities the company has given me and for the support that fans have shown to FYU and SGS, as well as all our members.”

“Ning Ning is a rare idol in the entertainment industry who’s a member of two groups. Could there be any favoritism?” the journalist continued.

Lin Weining’s eyes were slightly wide. The answers to these repetitive questions were practically etched in her mind. “Personally, I don’t have such thoughts at all. Both groups are important to me, and please don’t compare the two. We have a great relationship.”

The other members of FYU immediately picked up the conversation, smoothly transitioning the topic to others.

Until the interview concluded, Lin Weining sat in the car, still in a daze.

Lin Ran patted her shoulder, “The soul returns~”

Lin Weining made a sound, apologized to everyone, and took out her phone.

Due to their busy schedules, they hadn’t logged onto social media in a while. Upon opening Weibo, notifications flooded in. Lin Weining quickly accessed the entertainment section’s trending topics and found the phrase “Xu Zhu Xin Nuo Unwed Mother Dog Head” trending.

Lin Weining: “…”

The world is so complicated.

Ning Ning doesn’t understand.

She clicked around, getting the gist of it. She put on her headphones, choosing to watch variety shows on the way back. The screen was filled with a continuous stream of barrage comments – laughter, excitement, and dancing, along with a high level of praise for the main couple’s relationship.

She said it!

She’s carrying her child!

It must be true!

What? Two girls can’t have a child!

Impossible!

You’re lying to me!

They obviously can!

As one of the earliest fans of “Peng Ran Xin Dong,” Lin Weining knew they were talking about Xin Nuo and Little Pearl. She joined in the laughter of the barrage’s fans shipping them. At that moment, a barrage suddenly floated by.

“I’ve suspected it for a long time. Is Haya Ya interested in Ning Ning?”

Lin Weining: “Hm?”

“Haya and Ning Ning definitely have something going on! Every time Haya spares others but interacts with Ning Ning in various ways, my CP senses are tingling. They’re definitely not ordinary!”

Lin Weining, feeling genuinely simple: “…”

“Why did the conversation end up here?” the girl whispered, embarrassedly placing her phone toward the car door, leaning against the wall, and bowing her head.

“In the past, I’ve shipped Yueyin Weining, Weining Feng Hua, Weining and Nuo Nuo, Yueyin and Nuo Nuo, Yueyin Ranran. But now, I suddenly realize that indeed, those who take the initiative get the benefits, the Haya CP is going strong all because of Haya’s efforts, supporting her and Ning Ning’s super discussions!”

“Hahaha, that’s right! Initially, ‘Peng Ran Xin Dong,’ Double High Tones, and ‘Xin Feng’ were the most popular within SGS. Now, Haya Ya single-handedly pushed her and Ning Ning’s CP to second place! Have you all seen that compilation? It counts the time Haya tags Ning Ning, and Pearl tags Nuo Nuo – it’s almost equal!”

“That’s right! Let’s keep it within the group! We’re all family, we know each other inside out, and we’re in the same company. I heard that our darlings even plan to buy a house together. Isn’t this setting a lifetime commitment!”

“And furthermore! Haya just turned twenty at the beginning of this year, and Ning Ning will be twenty-one in August! Both of them are legal adults! They’re completely different from a certain unproductive Little Pearl who had to consider her age when dealing with real-life output. These two can do all kinds of scenarios and poses, hahaha! So enticing, so enticing!”

“This is the joy of being in the adult group! We secretly ship in the discussions. They might have already gotten together in reality! Otherwise, why did they divide the rooms that way? Jian Yueyin gave Haya Ya the chance, and Haya Ya chose Ning Ning! My brain would explode if there’s nothing going on here! Have they already slept together!!!”

“Be confident, they’ve definitely slept together many times! Maybe these two are the real baby-making combo!!”

Lin Weining: “… Wait a minute!”

No way!

Don’t spread rumors recklessly!

“Don’t casually pick heads!”

The gentle girl’s face turned red, and her fingers fumbled not knowing where to place them.

“We’re getting off, Weining,” Lin Ran said in a warm tone. “We’re taking a plane back to Haicheng. The manager said there will be fans welcoming us at the airport.”

Lin Weining quickly nodded, took a deep breath, and swiftly put on her mask in the dim interior of the car. “Everyone, stay safe.”

“Okay.”

The airport was bustling with people. FYU fans stood enthusiastically behind the bodyguards, waving at the five girls.

“Ah, Ning Ning, I really love you!”

“Everyone, please release the album soon. I want to see you all as soon as possible!”

“Quick, film a variety show!”

“Ran Ran, take care of yourself.”

“Yue Meng, you’re amazing!”

“Rui Rui, Shi Yi, keep going, I’ll always support you!”

Whether it was because they were fans of a group with generally gentle and introverted personalities, FYU fans behaved just as gently in real life as they did online.

“Please make sure to stay safe. From now on, it’s so late, could you not come to pick us up anymore? We have bodyguards to protect us. When you go back, make sure to go together. Don’t walk alone, okay?” Ning Ning said to the fans walking alongside her. “Thank you so much, really, but your safety is the most important, okay?”

The girls seeing them off couldn’t help blushing as they looked at Ning Ning’s clear, gentle eyes and nodded vigorously.

“Ning Ning, I love you so much!” one girl couldn’t help but say. After saying it, she hesitated for a moment and then grinned, “Of course, I won’t compete with Haya Ya for you, hehehe.”

Lin Weining: “…”

She coughed lightly, pretending not to have heard clearly, and walked into the airport.

The five girls turned around, bowed to the fans, and waved from time to time.

Once they were seated on the plane, Jing Rui, sitting beside Lin Weining, said in confusion, “I think I heard someone mention Haya?”

The cup in Lin Weining’s hand “clinked” against her stomach. The girl’s face turned even redder.

“No, you heard wrong!”

Jing Rui, rarely seeing her so excited, smiled and nodded.

Okay.

The city where their final event was held was a two-hour flight from Haicheng. The van first dropped off the four members of FYU at the apartment building behind the Universal Tower before setting off again. Before long, it entered a quiet park.

The seasons—spring, summer, autumn, and winter—never shifted based on human preferences.

In the summer park, the vegetation was lush, and the flowers were in full bloom.

On the wide road, bright street lights formed arches, illuminating the way home for people.

In front of the SGS villa, the lights were on, and the flowers in the garden gazed quietly at the sky.

“Thank you all. You’ve worked hard. Go back and rest well,” Lin Weining gently said to the driver and assistant. She took her luggage and whispered, “I can handle going in by myself. It’s too late, so please go back quickly.”

“Sure, contact me if you need anything,” the assistant said with the same gentleness.

“Goodbye then.”

Lin Weining sighed in relief as she watched the car leave the forest path. Finally, she could rest for a few days after days of nonstop activities. Even Ning Ning, who had been working hard all this time, looked tired.

Lifting the lightweight suitcase, Lin Weining was about to walk to the door when suddenly, the villa’s door opened, and a slender shadow fell on the path in the garden.

“Back already?” Haya’s voice was low. Her left hand was in her pocket as she said to Lin Weining, “Don’t move.”

Lin Weining immediately stood still, watching Haya with disheveled hair and pajamas walk over, her eyes half-lidded. When she bent down, the passionate scent unique to Haya reached Lin Weining’s nose.

“Let’s go.”

Yawning, Haya picked up her suitcase and turned to walk ahead. After taking a couple of steps, she realized Lin Weining wasn’t moving, so she turned her head in confusion and gestured toward Lin Weining.

The gesture meant: Let’s go.

In the night, a flurry of thoughts flooded Lin Weining’s mind. What she thought of first was the video she had seen on her way here, the one where Haya jokingly asked where the Fairy Lake was.

Judging solely by her appearance, Haya had a very striking look. It’s not that she wasn’t good-looking; on the contrary, she was beautiful. Her eye sockets were deep, her nose was prominent, and when standing next to Xu Heran, one might even suspect that Haya was the one with foreign heritage. Especially when she stayed silent and fixed her gaze on something, it could make people who didn’t know her think she might be in a bad mood or dislike something.

However, within SGS, they understood each other very well. In Lin Weining’s eyes, Haya was a very pure person. In reality, she was sunny, kind, enthusiastic, and generous. When she stared at her phone expressionless, she might very well be watching cute cat videos, bursting into laughter.

She was also the kind who never asked for anything in return—always helping her friends.

She got lost in her thoughts and, as she lifted her foot, a hand reached out from behind and pressed against her neck.

“Huh?” Lin Weining was surprised as she was pulled backward by someone. She obediently stopped and looked up.

Haya’s shadow fell upon her, her intense features nearly within reach.

The girl who was a full fourteen centimeters taller suddenly lowered her head, her whole face nearing Lin Weining’s.

Lin Weining felt like a cat whose lifeline had been grabbed, her fur standing on end. She gazed at Haya’s face, which was getting closer and closer, and her throat swallowed involuntarily.

Is… that so?

Warm skin pressed against her forehead, and Haya blinked, puzzled. “Strange, not hot.”

The fingers of the girl’s hand pressing against Lin Weining’s neck moved forward, her index finger grazing Lin Weining’s face as she chuckled.

“So red?”

“… Because it’s hot outside,” Lin Weining said, looking straight at Haya’s face—her black eyebrows, straight long eyelashes, and deep eyes.

In the smile at the bottom of the girl’s eyes, right at that moment, Lin Weining’s mind blanked out. When she came back to herself, she was already seated at the dining table. Haya had gone to the fridge, pouring milk for her.

“Why aren’t you asleep yet?” Lin Weining’s gaze landed on Haya’s back. When she turned around, a vase on the table fell with a “whoosh.” White rose petals scattered, and the petals on both sides curled toward the center, resembling a boat drifting on a tranquil water surface.

Haya took out two transparent glasses, and thick liquid slowly poured into them, producing tiny bubbles at the edges.

“I was playing a game. When I remembered you were coming back tonight, I thought I’d wait a bit,” Haya said, turning around and placing the two glasses of milk on the table.

“I’ll just have one glass,” Lin Weining said absentmindedly.

As Haya was about to bring the glass to her lips, she paused upon hearing Lin Weining’s words. With Lin Weining’s wide-eyed and “what nonsense am I hearing” expression, Haya turned her head and burst into a chuckle.

“… Forget it!” Lin Weining couldn’t help but say, “I must be too tired. My brain can’t keep up.”

“Yeah, cheers?” Haya raised her glass.

Lin Weining clinked glasses with her and downed the glass of cold milk in one gulp.

The cool sensation refreshed her entire being, and her racing heart calmed down.

“So comfortable,” Lin Weining couldn’t help but exclaim, “I can finally rest.”

“If you’re too busy,” Haya said, “just tell Manager Cui. She won’t force you to work.”

Lin Weining squinted her eyes. “I know.”

“It’s just that these past few days have been tiring. Manager Cui told me to rest for a few days, and the songs will be recorded with your parts first.” Lin Weining thought for a moment. “But I think it’s better if we do it together. And recording the song with everyone doesn’t feel exhausting.”

“I really enjoy being with everyone.” Perhaps due to returning to the comfortable place, Lin Weining suddenly had a lot to say. She told Haya, “I watched the new variety show that came out today. It scared me. A reporter asked me about Xin Nu’s pregnancy, and I really thought something happened to Xin Nuo.”

Lin Weining frowned and shook her head. “These people are so wicked!”

“Absolutely!” Haya immediately agreed with her.

Lin Weining smiled and continued chatting with Haya about variety shows before eventually being sent off to sleep by Haya.

“Next, we can record songs together, film variety shows, and have fun!” Lin Weining cheerfully got up. “Thank you for waiting for me. I’ll treat you to something delicious tomorrow!”

Haya nodded, watching her turn around and following the bouncing trail of her ponytail.

“Wait a moment.” Haya held a cup in one hand and supported her chin with the other, a mischievous smile tugging at her lips as she looked at the approaching girl. “Ning Ning dear, I have a question that I’ve been wanting to ask you for a long time.”

“Go ahead,” Lin Weining’s expression and tone were innocent as she smiled.

The twinkle in Haya’s eyes deepened. Tilting her head slightly, she rested her cheek against her hand.

“Where do you fairies take your baths? In which lake?”
