My Wife Pretends To Be Poor Every Day Ch.51

When Yu Siling received the notice from the film crew, her mind went completely blank, then buzzed, followed by the sound of firecrackers, crackling and making her heart bloom with joy.

So she quickly calculated all her current assets, plus this film role’s payment, and found it was more than enough to buy a small villa.

She hurried to find Li Yueyun, walking with more confidence and vigor, even climbing five flights of stairs without getting out of breath.

In fact, after their true identities were revealed, she had been feeling a bit of inferiority. It was hard to imagine that she would feel this way, but it was indeed the case.

Especially after learning that Li Yueyun was an outstanding and talented designer, she felt even more inadequate. After all, she was still a student and hadn’t had a proper job before. All her money came from her family. Although she had invested a lot and made some profits, it was still far from the allowance Yu Tianzong gave her.

She felt so useless.

Before, when she thought Li Yueyun was just a construction worker, she wasn’t afraid at all. Because she knew she could definitely make a lot of money and take good care of Li Yueyun.

But now the situation was completely reversed. It seemed like she was the one being taken care of!

Li Yueyun paid the bills when they went out, drove the car, and now they were even moving into Li Yueyun’s house.

Despite her young age, she had a strong sense of pride!

So when Li Yueyun formally suggested moving in together, she immediately avoided the topic. She also wanted Li Yueyun to move into her place, so she had to work hard and earn money to support their future.

When Li Yueyun held her hand and said they had secured the deal, Yu Siling suddenly smiled.

Li Yueyun understood. Li Yueyun understood her little pride!

Oh, what a heavenly wife she had!

“Ah Li, you’re so good,” Yu Siling said, deeply moved. She leaned over the table, ready to kiss her.

Li Yueyun gestured that there was still a single dog beside them who had grown up on royal dog food.

Yu Siling pretended not to see, her eyes only on Li Yueyun. She cupped her face and planted several kisses.

Si Yutong: “…” Do single dogs have no rights? Must you treat me like this?! Wuwuwu!

Si Yutong couldn’t bear to watch any longer and stomped out loudly. When she closed the door, she realized the two of them didn’t even seem to notice. Angrily, she slammed the door shut. Back at her desk, she picked up her phone and happened to see Chu Yuxun’s new wealth-building tips. She couldn’t help but send her a message.

[Si Yutong]: Fatso crying.jpg

Chu Yuxun: Sis, what’s wrong? Is your family pressuring you again?

[Si Yutong]: Pressuring me about what?

Chu Yuxun: Pressuring you to go home. According to TV drama logic, you’re in a situation where if you don’t work hard, you’ll have to go home and inherit millions.

[Si Yutong]: … Poor child, are you still in the dark?

Si Yutong couldn’t explain everything over text, so she simply called her and confessed, “Do you know? My master’s wife… that is, Yu Siling, your good friend, is actually a super-rich second-generation heir.”

Chu Yuxun was silent for a long time before innocently replying, “I know. Her family is super rich. Her dad is the biggest real estate developer in Xuanyang City. Her daily allowance equals to my year’s hard-earned money.”

“…” Si Yutong was furious.

Why? Why does everyone know Yu Siling is a rich lady! Except for me, the little cutie of the world!

Am I being targeted? Am I being blocked by this world!

Am I the only outsider now!

Si Yutong punched the wall beside her.

Snowflakes drifted, the north wind howled, and the world was a vast expanse of white, with a single plum blossom standing proudly in the snow.

“I’m so frustrated. I’ve suddenly turned into a crybaby fool, nothing like the model student and outstanding cadre I used to be.”

“Don’t cry,” Chu Yuxun comforted her word by word over the phone. “A woman’s tears are pearls.”

After her bout of sadness, Si Yutong said lifelessly, “Then you must also know that my master isn’t just a rich second-generation heir, but also a famous designer.”

“What?!” Chu Yuxun was shocked. “Since when? How come I didn’t know?”

“You didn’t know?” Si Yutong suddenly got excited. “It was a long time ago. Well, it’s not that I didn’t want to tell you, but I had to follow my master’s orders, hehehe.”

Chu Yuxun: “Wuwuwu.”

Your tears fall like a torrential rain, shattering on the ground, clear in my heart!

“Don’t cry, a woman’s tears are pearls,” Si Yutong echoed the same words back.

Chu Yuxun cried and then laughed: “Damn, I’ve found a new way to get rich.”

Si Yutong asked, “What is it?”

“Fanfiction!” Chu Yuxun said proudly. “Such great material! I’ll just write a novel with the two of them as prototypes, and the next Nobel Prize in Literature will definitely be mine!”

Si Yutong: “…Good luck with that dream, goodbye.”

After confirming the filming schedule with the crew, Yu Siling found out that shooting wouldn’t start until after the New Year, so she began to slowly look into talent agencies. However, she wasn’t in a rush to succeed; the first step needed to be taken carefully, and her focus remained on the script.

Soon, Christmas arrived. After having dinner with Li Yueyun, she went to stay at Li Yueyun’s place again.

Ever since she started preparing to buy a house, it seemed like she had a reason to openly stay at the other’s home.

Without realizing it, she had left quite a few things at the other’s place, almost like they were already living together.

Li Yueyun took out a beautifully wrapped box and placed it in front of her.

“Wow, a Christmas gift?” Yu Siling looked at her expectantly.

“Yes, open it and see,” Li Yueyun sat down beside her.

“What is it?” Yu Siling rubbed her hands in anticipation, unwrapping the box while asking, “A necklace? A ring? A bank card? A household register?”

None of those.

She looked at the neatly folded white paper inside the box, paused, and asked curiously, “Toilet paper? This is too thick.”

Li Yueyun burst out laughing and pinched her cheek. “Take a closer look.”

Actually, as soon as she saw the paper, Yu Siling had a guess in her mind. She thought of the stack of sketches in the office.

This was likely another one of her stunning sketches.

She had even prepared a look of surprise, and now it was time to showcase her acting skills!

Pretending to be curious, she unfolded the paper, about to compliment its lifelike quality, but her words abruptly stopped.

“This is…” Yu Siling’s heart fluttered, ripples of emotion stirring within her. “Is this a blueprint?”

“Yes, our home,” Li Yueyun said softly. “Do you like it?”

Yu Siling looked at the clearly drawn design. At first glance, it didn’t seem overly elaborate, but the details revealed the thoughtfulness behind it—even the patterns on the pillars were her favorite flowers.

It felt as though a unique house was already standing before her. She was so moved that she didn’t know what to say, her expression slightly out of control.

“I love it, I really love it,” Yu Siling said, her voice trembling as she turned and hugged her tightly. “I’m so lucky to have met you.”

Li Yueyun smiled and held her close. “I wonder whose luck it really is.”

They chatted for a while, then began discussing the details of the house.

Li Yueyun said, “This is just the interior design, but if you want to build a new house entirely, we can design it completely according to your wishes.”

“Really?!” Yu Siling was tempted. Forget self-reliance—she immediately called Yu Tianzong. “Hey, Dad, I want a Christmas gift.”

Yu Tianzong chuckled. “Sure, sweetheart, what do you want?”

“Is there still a plot of land in the western villa area?” Yu Siling asked. “Give it to me. I want to build a house.”

Yu Tianzong: “…”

Yu Siling hung up the phone, beaming. “Done.”

Li Yueyun smiled helplessly. “Looks like I’ll have to go back and draw another blueprint. What do you want?”

“A swimming pool!”

“Got it.”

“A home theater!”

“No problem.”

“A KTV room!”

“Okay.”

“A game room!”

“Consider it done.”

They went back and forth, chatting late into the night. Yu Siling lay on the bed, filled with hope for the future, and chuckled. “This is so great.”

“What’s up?” Li Yueyun held her hand.

“I’m about to have a home, hehehe.”

“Yes,” Li Yueyun smiled gently. “Thank you.”

“For what?” Yu Siling asked, puzzled.

Li Yueyun turned off the light and said softly, “Thank you for being willing to give me a home.”

In the darkness, Yu Siling laughed. “How is it just me giving you a home? It takes two to tango. This home is given by both of us.”

“True, Philosopher Yu makes a good point,” Li Yueyun teased.

The day before New Year’s, Yu Siling finished her classes and went to the company to wait for Li Yueyun.

Li Yueyun and her team were still working overtime, so Yu Siling ordered some milk tea and desserts to keep everyone fueled while they worked.

After the colleagues sent “Auntie Li” to the hospital, they also learned about the dramatic scenario they had imagined. Feeling guilty, they treated Yu Siling, the rightful “queen,” even better.

Not to mention, this young lady was not only beautiful and charming but also had a great personality. She didn’t act like a typical rich kid—she was warm, enthusiastic, and had endless topics to discuss with everyone.

Occasionally, when she got too carried away chatting with the colleagues, the jealous Director Li would “arrest” her on the spot and give her a good “lesson” when they got home.

As they ate cake, pizza, and drank milk tea, they discussed where to go for the New Year’s holiday.

“Lingling, where are you going for the holiday? Do you want to go on a trip with Director Li?” a colleague asked.

“We haven’t discussed it yet,” Yu Siling said. “We’ve both been so busy lately, so we probably won’t go on a trip.”

As she spoke, Li Yueyun reached out from behind her, picked up a cup of coffee, and asked, “What are you all talking about? It seems so lively.”

Colleagues: Here we go again, Director Li is getting jealous!

Yu Siling replied, “What are your plans for New Year’s Day? Do you want to go on a trip?”

Li Yueyun thought for a moment, glanced at the overly curious colleagues, and calmly said, “No need for a trip. I have something to do.”

Yu Siling was surprised. “What is it?”

Li Yueyun looked at her, a hint of mischief flashing in her eyes. “I’m going to visit your father’s house.”

Yu Siling didn’t react immediately.

“What?!” Yu Siling exclaimed. “You’re going to my house?”

“Yes, didn’t your father tell you?” Li Yueyun smiled. “A few days ago, while discussing business with President Yu, he invited me to visit.”

“He didn’t tell me!” Yu Siling was shocked. What should she do? There were so many secrets hidden at home!

“Why are you panicking?” Li Yueyun inquired with a smile. “It’s a good chance for me to see what our child looks like.”

Yu Siling: “…”
