Fall In Love With A Substitute – Chapter 173 (Extra 4)

Song Pianxian is a sophomore at a key provincial high school, the kind who relies on scholarships and excellent student tuition reduction policies to advance.

Guo Jia solved the educational problems of impoverished students but couldn’t fundamentally save a poor family. Song Pianxian was in need of money.

Until one day, a strange game appeared on her phone’s main screen —

Live Development Little Elf Pet Program

Song Pianxian frowned and tried to uninstall this software of unknown origin. After failing three times, a strange voice appeared:

“You can raise your own elf, pretty and obedient. If you’re interested, take action now!”

“…”

What strange thing had she activated? Song Pianxian had heard that there were some extraordinary existences in her world, but she was just an ordinary high school student. She didn’t expect to encounter such “adventures” either.

Unfortunately, she wasn’t interested in development games. Hearing that raising paper dolls damages the liver and requires spending money, the impoverished high school student Song Pianxian chose to refuse directly.

Song Pianxian continued trying to uninstall.

“Wait! You can earn currency from this world by raising pets through live streaming, or you can accept gifts from elves, marry a wealthy beauty, and reach the pinnacle of life! Join now and get a buy one get one free offer for the spring season, plus an extra elf to help you get ahead in the 101st batch of newbies’ live streaming competition!”

Song Pianxian’s finger paused one second before uninstalling.

“Is that all?” Under the other’s persistent persuasion, Song Pianxian reluctantly signed a one-week short-term contract and installed the live streaming equipment.

“That’s it. The equipment is all set up. You can choose to turn it on or off through me. 09 is at your service.”

“You have a one-hour live streaming task to complete every day.”

Song Pianxian nodded. Before she could continue to inquire, her little sister Xuzhao Jiutian came over and pulled her to the playground. It was said that she wanted to watch the next class’s Lingyi play basketball. She was shy and needed her sister’s company.

Xuzhao Jiutian held a bottle of mineral water and screamed alongside a group of Lingyi’s fangirls by the playground.

On the basketball court, many players were distracted by the school flower, Song Pianxian, but unfortunately, the school flower was focused on her phone and didn’t even glance at their splendid performance—

Even when playing with her phone, the school flower exuded the aura of a top student!

Despite the noisy and lively atmosphere around her, Song Pianxian remained unaffected. She simply opened the live streaming pet-raising game and simultaneously started the live broadcast.

The interface of this little game was very cute, with pink and tender colors. According to 09, the version seen by the live stream audience was much more exquisite than what she saw on her phone screen.

After a brief black screen, the opening animation began.

The adorable sprites happily lived in the lush green forest, eating fruits and vegetables every day, keeping themselves fair and tender. One day, endless dark elements surged from the underground.

The ancestral tree and the sacred spring of the sprite race were polluted, no longer giving birth to new sprites, and many sprites were contaminated and assimilated into dark sprites by the dark elements.

Until the sprite queen used the ancestral artifact, the Sprite Scepter, and sacrificed herself to sprinkle the power of light sprites into the wilderness, like a spark in the endless darkness, illuminating the sparse starlight for the tribe to take refuge.

The opening animation ended.

[You have taken over a star camp. Your task is to raise the sprite Qinglu who lives here.]

[Qinglu found her Little Sister Qingguan outside the camp and immediately brought Qingguan into the camp. However, Qingguan was injured by the dark elements and would turn into an ugly unwanted dark sprite in half an hour! For only 6 yuan, you can get the special offer of light elemental liquid to save the sprite Qingguan!]

“…”

Song Pianxian looked at the cute emoticons and the recharge button that was larger than life, expressionless, and said:

“So, this is what you call a buy-one-get-one-free deal?”

09 whispered, “For only 6 yuan, you can’t go wrong…”

“6 yuan is my daily meal money,” Song Pianxian said lightly.

More importantly, Song Pianxian had long been accustomed to spending every penny on survival, on games… there was no option for such expenditure in her consumption concept.

09 dared not speak anymore.

Song Pianxian stared at the two cute sprites on the screen, and with just one glance, she began to search for the button to “close the recharge interface.”

At this time, when it was already dark and the sprite Qingguan looked like a tangyuan with sesame filling, a bubble popped up above her head:

“Wuwuwu, Big Sister, wuwuwu, save me and I’ll give you all the savings in my little treasury, wuwuwu, no matter who saves me, I’ll give money, I have a lot of money—”

Seeing Song Pianxian look back at Qingguan, 09 quickly said understandingly, “I remember now, I remember now, this Qingguan is known for being silly and rich!”

Song Pianxian recharged 6 yuan with half-belief, while deciding that if this day’s meal money didn’t bring any returns, she would uninstall the app immediately after this week’s livestream ended.

After dragging the obtained light elemental liquid onto Qingguan’s head and selecting to use it, Song Pianxian was dragged by her little sister to bring water to Lingyi and temporarily put away her phone.

Star Camp.

Qinglu didn’t expect to encounter Qingguan again, sitting in the camp, her sister came uninvited.

“I have a lot of money, Big Sister, Big Sister, save me wuwuwu…”

Qinglu remained indifferent, even a little disdainful: “Stop wailing, or I’ll throw you out.”

Qingguan immediately closed her mouth tightly, tears in her eyes, feeling extremely wronged.

In the fourth year of the dark elements’ rampage, Qinglu had rarely seen her fellow tribe members. Although Qingguan was only a batch mate with a sisterly relationship formed from the ancestral tree, Qinglu couldn’t bear to watch her be corrupted by the dark elements.

But now, during the dark elements’ flood season, she had run out of the light elemental liquid she had saved. Qinglu bit her lip, her emerald eyes surging, as she picked up her crude wooden bow and arrow, preparing to go out to find the sparkling grass to save Qingguan.

Qingguan was still lying on the ground, secretly wailing, but as she cried, she burped and quickly covered her mouth.

Qinglu couldn’t be bothered with her. She was about to step into a turbulent and dangerous darkness. During the capricious flood season of the dark elements, not a single light sprite could guarantee their safety, not even Qinglu, who had a very strong control over the elements.

But coming back alive should not be a problem. Qinglu was pondering when suddenly a stream of light pierced through the darkness, penetrated the camp barrier, and fell straight down. Qinglu’s pupils shrank—

The cluster of light hit Qingguan’s head with a bang.

“Wuwuwu…” The child cried even louder, curling up to the side, holding her head and crying in pain.

Qinglu automatically blocked out Little Sister’s crying, picking up the suddenly appearing item—

It was a bottle of extremely pure light elemental liquid.

Mia opened the Strawberry Live app, preparing to find a livestream to watch while eating. When she found that her favorite streamer was on break, she casually opened the selection for the newcomer livestream competition to check out a small streamer.

Livestreams in the growth genre were great. Streamers raised little pets, and viewers raised small streamers! Because of this, viewers who enjoyed growth streams were more likely to support newcomers than those in other channels. For example, in the livestream competition, while other streamers typically had pitifully low views in the hundreds, growth streamers could reach over a thousand… thousand—

Mia’s gaze fixed on the top-ranked livestream, counting it two or three times. Five digits. It had broken ten thousand! Truly remarkable, leaving other livestreams far behind. Mia’s eyes lit up as she immediately entered “Must-Watch Story for Pure High School Girls and Sprites.”

After scanning the barrage of comments, Mia understood why the livestream had such high viewership.

“If I didn’t know there was no beauty filter in this livestream, I would’ve thought the streamer was using a level ten beauty filter. What kind of divine face is this? [Fainted on the spot]”

“This crappy livestream has unbelievable visuals, both the streamer and the pet sprites are amazing. Beauty enthusiasts came uninvited!”

“Is the streamer a resident of the newly opened Blue Star? No wonder she still seems unfamiliar with the controls… Wait, has she ever controlled it? Why do I feel like the streamer is constantly learning?”

Mia disregarded the barrage, staring straight at the screen with one person and two sprites.

The screen was split in two.

On the left were two sprites.

Although they were called sprites, in the livestream, sprites displayed their true forms. The sprites had slender bodies, pointed ears, and eyes like green lakes in the forest. They were the favorite pets of the creator, with delicate faces that were almost ethereal.

As light sprites, they naturally attracted light elements, and even just standing there, they had lively spots of light swirling around them. One of the sprites named Qinglu even revealed a tight, slender waistline, exuding a sexy charm amidst her strong combat power.

On the right was the human streamer.

This streamer still looked like a newcomer. She was wearing the same school uniform as the people around her, sitting upright in class and taking neat notes with a pen in her slender hand.

Her face was pure and clear, with peach-blossom eyes that gave her a different kind of youthful charm. Her lips were naturally pink, embodying the standard image of a pure and innocent school flower from TV dramas.

Looking at the streamer’s clear profile, Mia covered her heart, while her other hand bombarded the barrage with rainbow farts.

Following the barrage of comments from the beauty enthusiasts were many donations, but most of them were free gifts of small stars, which only increased the popularity and couldn’t be cashed out.

After class, Song Pianxian first checked her own livestream, which only she could see in the projection.

Viewers noticed the streamer looking up at the camera and immediately greeted her in the barrage.

Song Pianxian had classmates around her, so she just smiled and waved discreetly, taking it as a response. Her gaze paused at the name of the livestream room, making 09, who had changed the default name, nervous, but fortunately Song Pianxian didn’t say anything.

Song Pianxian opened the game again and immediately received a notification.

[Sprite Qinglu has eagerly consumed the light elemental liquid you gifted, feeling very touched, and presents you with a gift.]

Song Pianxian found a packaged gift in her inventory and opened it.

World currency exchange voucher: Host Song Pianxian’s usage can exchange for 10,000 Blue Star currency.

“…”

It wasn’t until Song Pianxian used the voucher and looked at the 10,000 yuan in her Alipay that she still couldn’t quite come back to herself.

Proudly, 09 said, “I told you she’s naive and rich!”

Thinking about the 6 yuan she had spent and now seeing 10,000 yuan in her wallet, Song Pianxian showed her approval to 09 for the first time. Subsequently, there was an uncontrollable sense of joy. She had confidence in her future, but for now, she was just a high school student with no source of income. This growth livestream… Song Pianxian clenched her phone.

The Song Family had moved from the countryside to the city. Logically, such a hardworking family wouldn’t be poor, but the Song Family had been plagued by bad luck. Whatever they did, it never seemed to work out, and they had accrued quite a bit of debt. The only exception was Song Pianxian, an exceptionally outstanding daughter.

Receiving this sum of money, Song Pianxian immediately used it to subsidize the household expenses. It seemed like the system had handled this part, and her family didn’t ask much about the money. Song Pianxian casually provided a reason and moved on.

However, Song Pianxian left herself 1,000 yuan. Grateful for what she had received from the sprites, she felt it was only right to improve their lives. In fact, if the situation at home hadn’t been urgent, she would have split the money equally, spending half on the sprites.

09 didn’t expect the host, who had been reluctant to spend 6 yuan earlier, to be so generous this time, topping up 1,000 yuan at once. Although the wool comes from the sheep, there weren’t many hosts willing to spit out the money they had earned.

Looking at the two little sprites on the screen, Song Pianxian reached out and gently touched their heads.

Time in the game didn’t seem to sync with reality. During the time Song Pianxian hadn’t paid attention to the game, Qinglu had gained a small wound. The phone screen was too small, so Song Pianxian couldn’t see clearly where she had been injured.

The little Qinglu looked weak, stretching out her short arms, struggling to apply the rough herbs to her leg.

Her little arms were too short, and Song Pianxian was worried she was putting too much effort into it, flipping the white dough over.

Feeling a bit distressed, Song Pianxian glanced at the little Qingguan playing with her fingers next to her and spoke slightly discontentedly, “Why isn’t she helping?”

09 replied, “Their skills are different. Qinglu is proficient in magic arrows, a rare combat-oriented all-rounder! Qingguan doesn’t have a priest skill. You’ve just received a gift of Qingguan’s skill usage times. You can try it yourself!”

Song Pianxian glanced at her inventory. She had topped up 1,000 yuan, reaching the fourth top-up tier. The first tier was a 6 yuan light elemental liquid, and the following three tiers included one usage each of two sprite skills, 10 bottles of light elemental liquid, and one sheepskin scroll.

Song Pianxian followed 09’s suggestion and used up Qingguan’s skill points.

The Qingguan figurine crawled up from the ground with a twist, both little short hands went into the pockets, then with a shake, continuously sprinkled little stars to both sides while shouting in a sweet loli voice:

“Throwing coins, throwing coins, throwing coins~”

Shoo, shoo, shoo –

“Throwing coins, throwing coins, throwing coins, throwing coins, throwing coins, throwing coins!”

“…”

After Qingguan finished throwing the coins, she sighed, raised her round head, looking like she was seeking praise.

Song Pianxian somewhat absentmindedly nodded her head, also pointed at the little stars on the ground to collect the money. Upon a glance, there was a full fifty thousand yuan.

The audience in the live stream couldn’t bear to watch anymore –

“Reverse development? Is it the broadcaster raising spirits or spirits raising the broadcaster, it’s hilarious.”

“Other people’s little spirits are throwing around QQ coins of 5 or 10, how come it’s such a big difference for the broadcaster?”

“Spirit skills are different, Qingguan looks like a rich girl among spirits, just a little foolish.”

“Adding cold knowledge: the degree of skill displayed by spirits is related to their favorability, it seems that these sisters have an overwhelming favorability towards the broadcaster!”

The money came too quickly, there was a hint of unreality, and even a reluctance to spend it.

Is this what it means to gain without pain? Facing the sudden wealth, cautious Song Pianxian kept forty thousand for herself, waved her hand generously, recharged ten thousand for her own spirits –

And then immediately spent 8888, buying Qinglu a reportedly excellent light element bow and arrow, with sparkling effects.

With more than two thousand left, Song Pianxian added blankets, bedding, fresh fruits and vegetables to the camp, reinforced the house, prepared ten doses of medicine for Qinglu, and then sequentially dispensed light element fluid and sheepskin scrolls said to be for spirits to Qinglu.

After a busy period, there were 500 left in the account. Song Pianxian looked at it and bought two sets of new clothes for the spirits, girls should all like new clothes, right?

Although she knew that the original appearance of the spirits was not cute, but looking at the round and cute two dumplings, Song Pianxian still found it difficult to put the sexy outfits from the store on them.

The essence of the game was to meet the expectations of the audience in the live stream, and the clothes prepared for the spirits in the store were cool, beautiful, and mature, regardless of price. After choosing two sets, Song Pianxian couldn’t help but spend the last 50 yuan on a black cat ear headband and a brown rabbit ear headband.

She gently placed the rabbit ear headband in front of Qingguan, and threw the cat ear headband to Qinglu, with a hint of a smile in her eyes.

New supplies kept appearing in Qinglu’s Star Camp.

The light elemental liquid was clear and rich in elements. The healing medicine had excellent effects, one dose could heal any injury. The blankets were warm and thick, resisting the nighttime cold waves. The clothes were new and beautiful, her favorite color being black. The fruits and vegetables were sweet, still carrying dew.

There was even a light elemental bow and arrow, a quality she had only seen in the hands of elder elves. It was a top-notch magical instrument forged by the dwarves, and she had ordered one, but before the dwarves could deliver it, the eternal night fell.

Qinglu clenched the light elemental bow and arrow. Had they finally been favored by the elven goddess…?

Qinglu quieted her mind and picked up the sheepskin scroll that appeared with the supplies—countless pieces of information flooded into her mind.

She understood the reason for all of this.

It turned out that unknowingly, she had joined a game as a “pet.” Along with her, there was a human from another world playing the game. The sheepskin scroll was their means of communication, and besides that, there was a third party watching their game.

Qinglu didn’t mind being watched; she wanted to survive.

While Qingguan was munching on fruits beside her, Qinglu opened the sheepskin scroll and took out the feather pen inside. It had been a long time since she had written, so her strokes were a bit stiff. Qinglu wrote slowly:

“Hello, I’m Qinglu. What can I offer you?”

The other party had given her so much, she should reciprocate. Qinglu pressed her lips tightly together; mutually beneficial relationships were the most solid.

Song Pianxian looked at the sheepskin scroll in the mailbox, lost in thought. Should she say something like “It’s okay, silly Little Sister has already given me enough rewards”? Would that hurt Qinglu’s self-esteem?

Perhaps because Qingguan was the one who sent it and Qinglu was her own cub, Song Pianxian felt much more fondness for Qinglu. Just from the fact that she had received 12,000 yuan and spent 8,888 yuan to buy weapons for Qinglu with a wave of her hand, it was evident.

Now that Qinglu was eagerly wanting to repay her, Song Pianxian felt a bit soft seeing the little dumpling Qinglu. How could she say something that would hurt her cub?

After thinking for a while, she assigned a small task to her cub: “I want to see what you look like wearing the headband.”

Qingguan, the silly little dumpling, happily put on the headband without saying a word and went off, wearing the rabbit ears. Qinglu, on the other hand, didn’t move. Song Pianxian was convinced that her own cub was a cute little darling, and wearing it would surely be adorable.

Song Pianxian remembered that there was no item name on Qinglu’s end and was afraid she wouldn’t understand what the headband meant, so she carefully modified the message before sending it out.

The sheepskin scroll emitted a faint light, and Qinglu, who was guarding it nearby, noticed the light and immediately opened her slightly closed eyes, turning over to read—

“I want to see what you look like wearing cat ears.”

“…” Qinglu glanced at the peculiar black cat ear, suddenly recalling that human nobles liked to raise cat people, supposedly because… her face flushed, she bit her lip.

She never expected that the other party was this kind of person.

But they treated both her and Qingguan well… Qinglu coldly stretched her face, struggling in her heart for a long time, expressionlessly picked up the cat ear and put it on her head.

Song Pianxian looked at the screen, seeing the little round face revealing a few shy slashes and small pink clouds, as if it had turned into a strawberry daifuku. It took her a while to reluctantly pick up the cat ear props and dress herself up.

Song Pianxian smiled. She didn’t know why, but just looking at Qinglu made her very happy. Suddenly, she somewhat understood why Xu Zhaopan liked to raise paper people.

Now she also wanted Qinglu to accompany her all the time.

The live stream audience, seeing both sides, burst into laughter:

“Host: Baby Qinglu with cat ears is so cute ahhhh! Spirit: ! I’m being flirted with”

“Am I the only one who noticed that Qingguan has been munching for half an hour, like a mukbang?”

“I’ve already shipped the broadcaster x spirit CP, damn, even though nothing has happened yet, it’s so sweet! Can’t wait for the world transmission channel to open so I can see them fall in love!!!”

Song Pianxian got along very happily with her pet spirits, and the live stream was surprisingly well managed, which exceeded her expectations. After observing for a while, Song Pianxian found that most of the audience were attracted by their three appearances. Song Pianxian didn’t want to disappoint the audience’s love and put a lot of effort into managing the game.

In addition, as far as possible, she bought many appearance items for the spirits outside the mall. One was to meet the audience’s expectations and let the high-value baby play dress-up games, and the other was… to buy for her baby!

—Although she couldn’t see what the baby would look like when she wore it.

The upbringing genre really got people hooked. Once you got into it, even someone as rational as Song Pianxian couldn’t control herself.

Qinglu had the habit of going out of the camp to hunt and would bring back a lot of things. Since they could communicate, Song Pianxian would ask her for some valuable items that Qinglu didn’t need, and exchange them for Blue Star currency through the system.

Plus, Qingguan’s occasional coin throwing skill activation and the income from the live stream rewards alleviated much of the economic pressure on the Song Family. Three months after Song Pianxian started the game, the external debts were almost paid off.

They thought everything would go smoothly, but when Song Pianxian came out of the monthly exam and went to see the baby first, she found that the Star Camp was surrounded by thick black dark elements, and there were many animals in the dark elements, constantly attacking the barrier of the Star Camp.

09 quickly said, “These are dark creatures contaminated by dark elements. Their purpose is to constantly devour light elements, and their target is your spirits.”

[Special Event: Your spirits are under deadly attack. Will you provide support?]

Song Pianxian’s gaze focused on Qinglu shooting the dark creatures on the screen. The dark creatures swarmed in, and her arrows, as fast as lightning, were hard to stop.

As for Qingguan… she had been throwing coins at the dark creatures all along, looking very diligent, but had little killing power, which was both irritating and funny.

Song Pianxian couldn’t laugh now: “How can I support them?”

09: “In special events, the host can enter the pet world through the world channel to assist pets in solving events. Now please let the host draw an identity card.”

Twelve cards appeared on the phone screen, and Song Pianxian intuitively clicked on one.

The card turned over slowly—

Goddess of Light.

“Oh, it’s awesome, 66666.”

“Host’s inner thoughts: Save the baby and save the baby.”

“Wait a minute, the trouble for the spirits is dark elements. If it’s the Goddess of Light, can’t it be a bug to pass through? Unfortunately, the new host probably doesn’t know that cheating like this is possible.”

Endless dark creatures attacked the camp, which was like a small boat struggling in the storm, perhaps it would completely collapse under the next wave of attacks.

Losing the shelter of the camp would have unimaginable consequences.

Qinglu shot another arrow of light and shouted to Qingguan, “Go collect the light element liquid and the parchment scrolls!”

“But—”

“Hurry up!”

Qinglu’s brows furrowed fiercely as she glanced back at the camp. The camp was filled with items given to her by that human, stuffing the small camp full, but now the Star Camp, along with these gifts, would be destroyed. She didn’t even know if she could survive.

Except for the land under her feet, everywhere her eyes could see was endless darkness and the greedy teeth of monsters. Qinglu looked up, unable to remember when she last saw the sun—

Suddenly, Qinglu saw a misty light.

Her gaze fixed on it.

The light in front of her emitted light, dispelling the darkness, but was constantly eroded by the incoming dark elements. In the struggle between the two, this light seemed like a breathing life.

It was even growing, in this area ruled by eternal night, it was the only light that grew.

At some point, the irrational dark creatures outside stopped their attacks, they, like Qinglu, looked up at the light, their hooves restlessly kicking the ground, and they crawled out low growls.

—Suddenly, the light surged, and the dark elements retreated step by step, looking embarrassed.

The light occupied half of the sky, generously spreading to the ground.

The darkness woven from dark elements evaporated between heaven and earth. The demonic beasts fell with a crash, their bodies silently dissolving in the light, turning into nothingness.

Qinglu, who hadn’t seen light for a long time, squinted her eyes slightly, stubbornly refusing to shift her gaze, staring fixedly at the direction of the light.

After dispersing the dark elements around the camp, the intense sunlight dissipated, revealing the gentle and clear light behind, as well as the deities within the light.

No one could describe the appearance of the gods in words. The light elements wove her divine robe and platinum crown. In her eyes were eternal stars and galaxies. Born of light, she was far more captivating than light itself.

The scepter in her hand emitted endless and pure light elements, dispelling all pain, darkness, and filth. All things in the world could survive under her protection.

She was the embodiment of light, she was—

“The Goddess of Light…”

The purest light elements she bestowed affectionately surrounded Qinglu, and the light elves gained the favor of the elements, but Qinglu had no time to spare. Her gaze closely followed the Goddess of Light, as if she were the most devout believer.

Qinglu knew that staring directly at the face of a deity was an unforgivable offense, but she couldn’t move her gaze away from her.

They were the distance between gods and mortals. Although she could only stand on the ground and look up, in that instant when she saw the other party, she harbored disrespectful intentions towards the deity, like wildfire spreading.

When the deity lowered her gaze and met the elf’s eyes—

Light and darkness tore at each other, sweeping across the vast wilderness. Everything melted in the light, and the wind trembled incessantly. All things grew wildly, blooming and withering, experiencing cycles in an instant, finally freezing in the most lush moment of light.

The elves clenched their bows and arrows, standing as the sharpest edge in the light and darkness.

Song Pianxian floated in the air, the continent unfolding beneath her eyes like a vast and magnificent picture hidden behind the clouds.

[You have successfully completed the special event and can return to your own world.]

The world channel reopened behind Song Pianxian.

The card endowed Song Pianxian with divine power. Although the distance was far, she could see the star camp on the ground, as well as the elf looking up at her, holding a bow and arrow, Qinglu.

When Qinglu looked at her, she could also see Qinglu’s face. Song Pianxian’s gaze lingered on the elf for several seconds before she sighed softly:

“So… my little Qinglu is really beautiful.” The round cub suddenly transformed into a beautiful elf.

And she was even more beautiful than she had imagined—

Beautiful enough to make her heart skip a beat.

09 began urging Song Pianxian.

Song Pianxian responded, but before leaving, she remembered:

“Can I give Qinglu something?”

“Huh?”

The live broadcast room was once again filled with comments:

“Accidentally cheating through the level, not bad.”

“This is the first time I’ve seen this kind of ‘accidentally passed the level because I wanted to leave the beautiful clothes for the baby’ operation.”

“Is she really unaware of this bug or…?”

Amidst 09’s astonishment, Song Pianxian took off the crown, robe, and scepter from her body, smiling slightly:

“I can’t take these back either. This set of props is quite beautiful, not available in the mall. Let’s leave them for Qinglu.”

“…” 09 was dumbfounded. As the system, she knew about bugs, but for the dramatic effect of the live broadcast, it wasn’t prohibited, although the reason for the host triggering the bug was a bit strange, but could she really not intervene…?

In 09’s dilemma, Song Pianxian had already given the three-piece set to Qinglu and quickly walked towards the world channel: “Going back now.”

Only after the world channel closed behind her did Song Pianxian breathe a sigh of relief.

It’s good to be able to give something to Qinglu. She knew that there were no mortal items on the gods, and the dark elements would inevitably return after she left. Song Pianxian speculated that with these things, Qinglu would have at least a little more help.

But the development of the situation far exceeded Song Pianxian’s imagination.

As Qinglu watched the deity disappear into the channel, her intuition guided her to understand the other’s identity. She held the deity—or rather the gift from the human—in her hands and recited the Hymn of Light in the awkward Elven language.

Countless light elements surged from the hands of the elf, spreading into the air, continuously drawing the light elements belonging to the deity, purifying the polluted land.

This process continued intermittently for many days and nights. Qingguan approached her and murmured:

“There’s no need to work so hard, you know. Sustainable development, or temporarily entrust it to other spirits…”

Indeed, where the light arrived, the spirits gathered together.

But Qinglu refused.

She was the elf with the highest affinity for elements, able to harness light elements to their fullest potential—

Qinglu vaguely realized that something was waiting for her at the end.

As the dark elements disappeared completely from the continent, Song Pianxian suddenly couldn’t see her baby anymore, only the game update announcement.

[Congratulations on nurturing a spirit pet and about to receive rewards. Please be patient during the game update.]

Not seeing Qinglu all night, Song Pianxian was still feeling low the next day.

Not until during morning self-study, when the class teacher brought in two new students:

“Come on, everyone, welcome the two new transfer students.”

A boy in the back row whistled, “Wow, two beauties.”

Song Pianxian paused, then looked up as if sensing something—

The elf Qinglu stood in her world, smiling gently at her.

And that’s it folks.
