From Cold Palace Princess to Celestial Empress Ch. 103

Prince Wu’an flicked his sleeve, and a glowing orb shrouded in mist flew out, hovering in the center of the grand hall.

From within the orb, a rich and intoxicating aroma of wine wafted through the air, captivating everyone and compelling them to take a deep breath.

“What… what kind of wine is this?”

Someone inhaled deeply, sensing the intense spiritual energy fluctuations, and couldn’t help but ask.

“This seems to be the legendary ‘Daughter’s Brew.’ Could it be that His Highness intends to offer this treasure as the prize for the competition?”

Another exclaimed in astonishment.

On the high platform, Prince Wu’an smiled faintly and explained:

“This wine is indeed the Daughter’s Brew, crafted from numerous spiritual herbs and plants. Drinking just one cup can significantly enhance one’s cultivation realm!”

Hearing this, the crowd was stunned.

They had heard of the Daughter’s Brew before, knowing it to be an exceedingly rare treasure.

Legend had it that when a daughter was born into a long-lived family, the elders would bury a jar of spiritual wine, which would ferment and mature only by the time she married. It was meant to be shared exclusively by the newlyweds, symbolizing an unbreakable bond of love.

However, everyone knew this was merely a beautiful legend.

Yet, the spiritual wine before them was undeniably the legendary Daughter’s Brew!

No one could have imagined that they would witness the true form of this rare treasure today!

Although they knew the Daughter’s Brew before them couldn’t possibly be as miraculous as the legends claimed, there was no doubt it could greatly enhance one’s strength.

“Drinking this wine might help me break through to the next minor realm!”

An elderly man with graying hair, at the Divine Sea Realm, spoke up.

“I am willing to offer ten years of tribute from my territory in exchange for a cup of this spiritual wine. What does Your Highness think?”

A city lord who governed a region proposed.

Hearing this, everyone present was shocked.

A city lord’s annual tribute of spirit stones was at least a hundred thousand, and over ten years, it would amount to a million. Yet, he was willing to exchange it for a mere cup of spiritual wine.

Prince Wu’an, however, shook his head and chuckled lightly:

“This wine is far too precious to be tainted by mere gold and silver. I must ask you all to give up on this idea.”

With that, he turned his gaze to the princes and continued:

“Today, this cup of spiritual wine shall serve as the prize for the competition. The ultimate victor shall drink it in full!”

Hearing this, the eyes of the princes lit up in unison. They all gazed at the cup of spiritual wine within the glowing orb, their expressions filled with greed.

Even the Second Prince hadn’t expected Prince Wu’an to bring out such a precious treasure!

At this thought, a surge of resentment rose within him.

“Uncle has such a precious spiritual wine, yet he kept it hidden all this time. If I had the aid of this wine, my strength would soar, and I wouldn’t fear Princess Ziwei in the slightest!”

However, since Prince Wu’an had brought out a cup of the wine as a prize, it was clear he still had more in his possession. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have offered it so readily.

“Once this matter is settled, I’ll go and beg Uncle for more of this wine. Otherwise, I stand little chance in this competition.”

The other princes were equally eager.

Even the Sixth Prince, who had been silently holding his sword, opened his eyes and fixed them on the cup of clear wine in the air, his gaze burning with desire.

He had a premonition that this small cup of wine could at least help him advance to the next minor realm.

Such temptation was impossible to resist.

At this moment.

On the high platform.

Prince Wu’an spoke again:

“This time, in addition to this cup of spirit wine as the prize, the winner will also receive a special surprise.”

Upon hearing this, the crowd buzzed with discussion.

“A surprise? Could it be a Profound-grade pill?”

Someone sneered:

“This cup of spirit wine is comparable to a top-tier Profound-grade pill. How could an ordinary pill even be considered?”

“Surely it can’t be an Earth-grade pill, right?”

“My friend, you’re overthinking it. If there really was an Earth-grade pill, why wouldn’t Prince Wu’an take it himself instead of offering it as a prize? Do you think he’s a fool?”

“Gentlemen… I heard that Prince Wu’an’s son died young, leaving only a granddaughter as his sole descendant. Could this surprise be related to her?”

Someone speculated.

“Impossible! Absolutely impossible! Matters of marriage are not to be taken lightly. You’re really overthinking it.”

For a moment, various voices filled the air.

Amidst the cacophony, Xiao Minghuang remained unfazed.

She gazed at the floating spirit wine, her mind slightly stirred. After reaching the second level of the Spring realm, to continue breaking through, aside from relying on time, she could only consume Profound-grade pills or seek rare and precious natural treasures.

The Yellow-grade pills that were quite effective for her during the Qi Refining Realm were now of little use.

Therefore, if she wanted to rapidly increase her strength before the grand competition, seizing this cup of spirit wine was the best choice.

If she gave it to Ye Ruoshui or Lin Wanqiu, even without triggering a high return, she could at least exchange it for two cups of spirit wine, making it a worthwhile deal.

As for the surprise mentioned by Prince Wu’an, she didn’t pay it any mind.

Could any surprise be greater than this cup of spirit wine?

With this thought, Xiao Minghuang made up her mind. Tonight, she must obtain this cup of spirit wine.

No matter what schemes the Second Prince had.

She would simply cut through them with her sword!

Where there is a great reward, there will be brave men.

Soon, the Fifth Prince stood up.

Beside him, a burly man quickly grabbed him, warning:

“Brother Yuan, I know your strength well—invincible within the same realm. But among your brothers, that pretty boy with the sword and that beautiful girl seem quite extraordinary. Be very careful!”

Clearly, he didn’t regard the Second Prince, Third Prince, or Fourth Prince, as he didn’t mention them.

The Fifth Prince nodded solemnly, saying:

“Brother, rest assured. I will be careful. If I am no match, I will concede.”

The burly man gave a simple, honest smile and said:

“Then I can rest easy!”

The Fifth Prince returned a bright smile and then turned to walk to the center of the hall.

As expected.

Without even drawing his spear, the Fifth Prince merely threw a punch and sent the Fourth Prince flying, easily securing the victory.

Seeing this, a flash of surprise crossed the Second Prince’s eyes. He hadn’t expected that the Fifth Prince, after years of traveling in silence, had grown to such a level.

Almost on par with him!

“Someone, take the Fourth Prince to be treated!”

The Second Prince waved his hand, calling for attendants.

Soon, the Fourth Prince was carried away by a group of attendants.

Witnessing this scene, the Third Prince turned pale. He never imagined that the seemingly delicate and refined Fifth Prince could possess such terrifying strength.

His own strength was on par with the Fourth Prince’s. Since the Fifth Prince could defeat the Fourth Prince with a single punch, naturally, he could defeat him as well.

Not to mention the Second Prince and Princess Ziwei who had yet to take the stage, just getting past the Fifth Prince alone would be an insurmountable challenge for him.

“Spiritual Wine, destined to be beyond my reach.”

The Third Prince sighed in despair, the fire in his heart extinguished.

In the spectator stands, a burly man’s voice thundered as he clapped and shouted:

“Bravo! Well done, Brother Yuan!”
