From Cold Palace Princess to Celestial Empress Ch. 180

A Spirit Seed Realm expert sitting at the head of the table asked in a deep voice.

He was the commander of the Nine-Nation Alliance, named Lei Zhen. Towering and muscular, he exuded explosive power like a fierce tiger, his aura solid and unmistakably at the peak of the Spirit Seed Realm. His voice was rough and powerful, shaking the surroundings.

“Such a trivial matter, leave it to me!”

A young man with a sinister expression stood up, cupping his hands in salute.

Beneath his seemingly calm demeanor, there lurked a malevolent aura.

Lei Zhen glanced at him and smiled faintly:

“Seventh level of the Spirit Seed Realm, not bad. This merit shall be credited to you!”

A flash of joy appeared on the young man’s face.

After the joint conquest of the Fire Dragon Kingdom by the Nine Nations, rewards would naturally be distributed based on merit.

His Shadow Kingdom was of moderate strength among the Nine Nations, and by rights, the first merit of breaching the city shouldn’t fall to him. Yet, Lei Zhen had assigned this task to him.

Lei Zhen’s cultivation had already reached the peak of the Spirit Seed Realm, just one step away from breaking through to the Nascent Soul Realm. Once he succeeded, he would dominate the Southern Region. If he could latch onto the Lei Kingdom’s coattails, he would have a powerful backer in the Southern Region!

“Thank you, Commander Lei. I will not fail your trust!”

With that, the sinister young man turned and flew towards the direction of the Fire Dragon City.

His speed was incredibly fast, and in an instant, he arrived above the city.

In a flash, a terrifying Spirit Seed Realm pressure descended, enveloping the palace of the Fire Dragon Kingdom.

After a long and arduous defense, the Divine Sea and Spirit Seed Realm members of the Fire Dragon Kingdom’s royal family and offerings had all perished.

At this moment, the highest cultivation level within the city was a peak Spring Realm guard captain. The other warriors, with even lower cultivation levels, couldn’t even lift their heads under this overwhelming pressure.

“I give you a chance. Lay down your weapons, bind your cultivation, kneel, and surrender. Perhaps you may be spared.”

Inside the palace hall, the guard captain’s mouth was bleeding. He was the most affected by the pressure, yet he stood straight, refusing to bow.

Behind him was a young girl, only seven or eight years old, her once splendid dress now tattered and stained with blood.

She was the last surviving member of the Fire Dragon Kingdom’s royal family, the person the guard captain was willing to risk his life to protect.

At this moment, the young face of the Princess of the Fire Kingdom was filled with terror. She huddled into a ball, hiding beneath the throne.

The steadfast gaze of the captain of the guards remained unaltered, fixed on the shadowy youth outside the hall. His eyes burned with overwhelming hatred, yet he was unable to move.

Though he possessed formidable cultivation, in the presence of this Spirit Seed Realm powerhouse, he was still as insignificant as an ant.

“You beasts! Don’t you dare harm the Princess!” the captain roared, his voice hoarse and desperate.

“Hmph! A mantis trying to stop a chariot—utterly overestimating yourself!” The shadowy youth sneered, raising his right hand slightly and clenching it in the air.

A powerful spiritual pressure surged from all directions, forming an invisible barrier that mercilessly compressed the captain into a ball of flesh and blood.

Bang!

The blood sphere exploded in the void, scattering flesh, blood, and bone fragments everywhere, staining the entire hall red. The air was thick with the metallic scent of blood.

“Little Princess hiding beneath the throne, shall I invite you out?” the shadowy youth said with a sinister tone.

In the next moment, he waved his hand lightly, and the Princess, who had been hiding beneath the throne, was dragged out by an invisible force.

He glanced at the terrified Princess, a hint of confusion flickering across his brow.

“Just a worthless mortal with no cultivation? How disappointing!”

He had originally planned to present this last descendant of the Fire Dragon Kingdom as a gift to the allied forces’ camp. But a mere mortal with no cultivation—how could she live up to the hype of being a royal orphan?

Might as well kill her!

“Blame yourself for being worthless,” the shadowy youth said indifferently, then raised his hand. Shadows from all directions surged like flowing seawater, about to engulf the Princess completely…

Swish!

A pure white sword light pierced through the sky in an instant, carrying an unstoppable momentum as it slashed toward the shadowy youth’s head.

The youth’s pupils contracted sharply. He quickly raised his left hand, and a shadowy hand instantly formed, meeting the sword light.

The two immense forces collided, but in the blink of an eye, the shadowy hand melted away like ice meeting fire, vanishing at a visible speed.

“Who… who is this…” The shadowy youth’s face filled with terror, but before he could finish his sentence, a pristine, snow-white longsword descended from the sky. Its tip pierced directly into the crown of his head, then plunged deep into his body.

Moments later.

Splat!

Blood sprayed out as the shadowy youth’s body exploded into a mist of blood and shattered bones, leaving nothing but a pile of debris.

In the next moment, a young girl in a bright yellow dress descended from the sky, holding a longsword. Her beautiful face was cold as she gazed at the bloody remains on the ground.

Her appearance was stunning, her demeanor elegant, and her calm eyes seemed capable of seeing through everything in the world.

The girl’s gaze swept over the shadowy corpse before turning to the dazed Princess.

“From today onward, you are the ruler of the Fire Dragon Kingdom.”

With that, Xiao Minghuang turned and left.

Someone else would take care of the aftermath.

Staring at Xiao Minghuang’s retreating figure, the Princess sat on the ground in a daze, unable to react for a long time.

Outside the city.

The sword light that had pierced the heavens had already drawn the attention of many Spirit Seed Realm powerhouses present.

“Has the Fire Dragon Kingdom called for reinforcements?” Lei Zhen stepped out of his tent, looking toward the direction of Fire Dragon City with a suspicious expression.

The other offerings also followed, engaging in a flurry of discussions.

“What’s going on? Why can’t I sense the aura of the Shadow Sovereign anymore?”

“Could there be a change within the city?”

“That’s impossible! The offerings of the Fire Dragon Kingdom are already dead. Who could have intervened?”

“That sword light just now was overwhelmingly powerful. I couldn’t muster the slightest will to resist… Do you think it could have been someone from the Spirit Sword Sect?”

“Impossible! The Spirit Sword Sect wouldn’t meddle in the affairs of the Fire Dragon Kingdom!”

As they were all speculating.

Xiao Minghuang, leading the people of Great Xia, had already descended above the allied military camp.

“Who dares to intrude here!”

The city guards drew their swords one after another, looking warily at Xiao Minghuang.

“You lowly scum, how dare you shout at Her Highness the Princess!”

The Twenty-Eight Star Officials acted in unison, and spiritual energy surged around them, forming ripples of power.

Seeing this, Lei Zhen roared in anger:

“Princess of Xia, don’t push your luck!”

Clearly, he had recognized Xiao Minghuang.

“Since you recognize me, it’s not too late to withdraw your troops now.”

Xiao Minghuang stood in the void, her hands clasped behind her back, speaking indifferently.
