Grab The Heroine and Run Away Ch. 113 (Haya x Lin Weining [End])

Half a month later, at the Sea City Century Center Gymnasium.

The white ocean unfolded gently on the green grass, and the large screen played pre-prepared videos with the images of the five girls appearing continuously. FYU’s fans held up white lightsticks and looked up at the huge stage.

Among the fifty thousand fans present, besides FYU’s fans, there were also many XianNv (Fairy) fans and Sugar fans. Universal Entertainment had a total of three girl groups: SGS, FYU, and ShuGuoTang (Fruit Candy). Many fans were fans of all three groups or casual fans, and since the three groups had different styles and had appeared on the same program before, the relationships between them were harmonious.

After experiencing SGS’s solo career four years ago, and with all eight members of the solo career doing well, the fans’ reception of FYU’s solo debut was relatively positive. Given Universal Entertainment’s style, there would be many opportunities for interactions even after solo debuts. Fans saw this solo concert as a turning point for the girls’ transformation and came to the venue and live stream to show their support and cheer them on.

“Is your ankle alright?”

Wearing white shiny clothes and with clean makeup, the girl bent down and looked worriedly at Haya’s leg resting on a stool. The woman who had been tossing bombs with her feet just a moment ago furrowed her brows, “It’s fine.”

Though her expression didn’t seem fine.

Beside them, Xu Heran and Jiang Qiong, also holding their phones, looked over lazily.

Lin Weining grew even more concerned, “Then be careful when you go on stage to perform.”

Xu Heran’s voice floated over, “Don’t be as carefree as before, jumping around. No one can catch you.”

Haya immediately pointed a finger at Xu Heran, “That’s you.”

“Exposed!” Xu Heran declared this as a defamation!

Jiang Qiong sneered, “Neither of you have the right to say anything about each other, wild dogs!”

The wild dogs rolled up their sleeves, preparing to teach the pet dogs a lesson. Jiang Qiong turned her head, reporting to Lin Weining, “Look at her speed in jumping up, not a single thing happened!”

Haya’s movement paused. She took a gentle breath and turned her peripheral vision to the side, only relaxing when she saw the faint smile on Lin Weining’s face. She moved her wrist slightly and gave a “cruel” smile to Jiang Qiong.

“Looking down on wild dogs, huh, little woof woof.”

Jiang Qiong immediately responded, “I wouldn’t dare—Captain!”

Jian Yueyin, still in pajamas, squinted her eyes and walked over, yawning, before sitting on the sofa.

Everyone: “…”

“Sis, isn’t your life a bit too debauched?” Haya asked her, “You slept from twelve last night until two in the afternoon today, and you’re still tired?”

Last night, all SGS members except Xin Nuo gathered in Sea City for a dinner party.

“Just now, you were sleeping right after finishing your makeup!” Xu Heran shed envious tears for Jian Yueyin’s happy life.

Jian Yueyin sighed, “Don’t mention it. Sister Cui sent me on a fantasy journey some time ago, and I lost five pounds from exhaustion. I’m just trying to gain it back.”

Cui Qi, who had been talking to staff in the corner, immediately said, “You were the one who said you wanted a job after staying at home for too long, and you wanted to lose weight. Didn’t I give you a job?”

Jian Yueyin: “…”

Cui Qi: “Didn’t I help you lose weight?”

Jian Yueyin: “.”

Cui Qi’s cold laughter sent shivers down everyone’s spines.

Haya raised her hand and patted Jian Yueyin’s shoulder to comfort her. Her action was seen by Cui Qi, who continued to coldly laugh, “No need to sympathize with Yueyin. In a week, when your foot is better, you’ll go too!”

Haya, who suffered for no reason: “… Huh?”

“Hana complained to me that after you finished your work, you’ve been livelier day by day. You like extreme sports and excitement, don’t you? You can’t sit still! Go on a fantasy journey with me. If you get injured there, you can still claim worker’s compensation.” Sister Cui showed a polite and kind smile to Haya.

Haya: “…………”

“……But I don’t like farming, chopping trees, and building houses!” Haya retorted, “I also don’t like going to remote mountains and experiencing life!”

Cui Qi maintained her smile. “I don’t care if you like it or not.”

Haya’s expression blanked, her mouth hanging open.

“Pfft.” Xu Heran couldn’t help but mock, and Cui Qi’s gaze immediately turned toward her.

“I just finished a concert, and I have a movie to shoot next year,” Xu Heran told Cui Qi, “And I haven’t made any mistakes this whole year!”

Only then did Cui Qi show a lenient expression.

Everyone exchanged glances and sat down in tacit agreement, huddling together.

“Since Xin Nuo announced her relationship, Sister Cui has become scarier and scarier,” Jiang Qiong said, “Is this the reason why Xin Nuo went abroad to film?”

Jian Yueyin whispered, “If Sister Cui hears you say that, she’ll become even scarier.”

Jiang Qiong felt a pang in her heart.

Xu Heran retorted, “Sister Cui wasn’t angry about this matter at all. I think it’s her menopause kicking in. Both of you behave for the next two years, don’t make Sister Cui angry.”

The others stared at Xu Heran with disdain.

“Here, you’re the least qualified to say that!” Jiang Qiong scolded fiercely. Xu Heran immediately raised her hand, and the Woof Woof Squad started barking.

Lin Weining narrowed her eyes playfully, “Is this the reason why NuoNuo couldn’t participate in the concert?”

SGS, only Xin Nuo couldn’t be there in person due to filming.

Haya immediately agreed, “Absolutely!”

“Causing trouble again? Aren’t you a bit old for that?” Cui Qi appeared silently behind the five people who were talking, raising the notebook in her hand and lightly tapping each person’s head. “Get ready, it’s about to start.”

Lin Weining quickly stood up. “Then I’ll head over first. See you all in a bit!”

With a smile on her face, she ran out of the room. She met Laurel and Song Fenghua, who had changed their clothes, at the door. Lin Weining winked at them.

Laurel and Song Fenghua immediately stopped in their tracks.

“Come in,” Cui Qi said to the two outside the door.

The two entered expressionlessly and sat on the couch next to the long one, drawing a clear boundary between themselves and the four on the other couch.

Xu Heran stared at the snacks on the table and requested, “I want a piece of cake.”

“You ate before coming here. Don’t go on stage until you’re full,” Cui Qi said without hesitation.

Laurel slowly retracted the hand she had just stretched out.

Cui Qi noticed and chuckled, “Except for Ranran, everyone else can help themselves.”

Xu Heran: “???”

Haya playfully touched the fork, but then heard Cui Qi say, “Oh, Haya is also not allowed.”

The girl with a smiling face froze her smile, “I won’t feel sleepy after eating!”

Cui Qi bent over, hands resting on the back of the couch, her voice deep.

“I’m afraid you’ll eat too much, go up on stage to radiate charm, then pull someone aside privately, and come out of the closet.” The manager looked at her stiff figure, “I’m getting old, I can’t handle this excitement.”

Others: “Oh—”

“Sis, I’ll buy you some heart medication,” Haya leaned back, joking.

Cui Qi tapped her head with the notebook again, “You’re still trying to save yourself — if you really dare to stir up trouble for me.”

She definitely didn’t dare. She didn’t want to become a regular guest on the fantasy journey.

Haya shrugged.

The concert began. The five gentle-natured girls sang and danced on stage with bright smiles. Tonight was their home turf, and the silver-white starry sky arched over the grand stage.

Amidst the fireworks, the girls extended their arms, and the fans below the stage cheered with all their might.

As guest performers, Shu Guo Tang took the stage first, cheering for FYU while giving them a break. After a while, when Captain Lin Weining smiled and said, “Welcome, my old teammates,” the cheers in the venue erupted.

The six individuals singing FYU’s debut song appeared on the lift platform, performing alongside the cheers of the fans. After the song ended, the other members of FYU went offstage to rest and change clothes, while Lin Weining remained on stage.

Xu Heran intentionally remarked, “No chance to rest, huh?”

“I’m not tired, you know,” Lin Weining, covered in sweat, laughed and said, “Seeing you all makes me not tired.”

Haya chuckled and twisted open a bottle of mineral water to hand to Lin Weining.

“As an invited guest, please have our little Lin Xianxian sit on the stool, resting while watching us perform,” she said.

Laurel said without hesitation, “If that’s the case, why not let Xianxian rest below?”

“Yeah,” others chimed in.

Haya raised a finger and wagged it, “Because I said no.”

The fans immediately responded with “Oh~” and barrage comments like “Haya the troublemaker has appeared” and “Being confidently naughty!”

Lin Weining raised her hand, raised a fist with force, and gently bumped Haya’s shoulder, revealing a gentle smile.

“Always knew you’d bully people.”

The fans’ cheers grew louder from below the stage. Xu Heran exchanged a glance with the person next to her, and her lips curved up.

Jian Yueyin bumped Song Fenghua, “Ranran’s up to something.”

“Yep.”

Taking a cue from Lin Weining, Xu Heran raised her fist, bumped Haya’s other shoulder.

“Always knew you’d bully people~”

Haya: “Hiss—”

With a slightly contorted face, Haya turned around, and both the fans in the venue and those in the live chat shouted in unison, “Fight! Fight!”

“Good thing you didn’t eat a lot tonight, or I’d have to fly out.” Haya rubbed her shoulder, sighed heavily, and addressed the fans below, “Can’t you wish for something positive?”

The fans looked regretful, “No!”

Another day without a fight, sigh.

Lin Weining supported her forehead, raised the microphone, “Because NuoNuo is filming abroad and couldn’t make it back, but she sent me a message.”

“And there’s a video message too,” Xu Heran added, “Do you want to see it?”

The fans’ eyes brightened immensely, their voices hoarse with excitement, “Yes!!”

Xu Heran grinned, “Then let’s show it to everyone after we finish performing.”

Fans: “…”

Lin Weining: “?”

“Xu Pearl!” the fans exclaimed angrily, “You’re dragging it out!”

Xu Heran raised her fist again, softly waving it in the air, “Always knew you’d bully people~”

Lin Weining blushed, covered her face, and was hugged by Jian Yueyin, who playfully patted her head.

“I support you in giving Pearl a beating offstage.”

Lin Weining nodded vigorously.

Beat Pearl!

With Haya’s help!

Xu Heran burst into laughter, raised her hand toward the band,

“At break of day, in hope we rise, we speak Your name, we lift our eyes.”

Her clear voice cut through the night, echoing across the vast stadium. Fans gathered outside the venue heard Xu Heran’s voice and joined the screams of the fans inside.

Universal Entertainment’s outdoor LED screen showcased six girls, six shining stars running on the stage. They raised their arms, and in that moment, fans watching the livestream and those seated below simultaneously raised their hands.

“You will never fade away, your love is here to stay. By my side, in my life, shining through me every day.”

Xu Heran opened her arms to the audience below, then swiftly turned around, pointing her finger to the rear of the stage.

In a burst of fireworks, a lift platform carried a delicate woman who ascended slowly. Lin Weining’s eyes widened gradually, and she covered her mouth, bursting into laughter.

“You wake within me, wake within me. You’re in my heart forever.”

Xin Nuo looked at Xu Heran, raised her finger, and faced her through the air. Then she raised her hand and pointed toward the screaming fans.

Haya rushed toward Lin Weining with a smile, embracing her and lifting her up before running back. The six lift platforms rose, the stage lights transformed, and everyone excitedly shouted, jumped, and clapped.

“You wake within me, wake within me. You’re in my heart forever.”

“Ah!!!”

“With fire in our eyes, our lives alight. Your love untamed, it’s blazing out. The streets will glow forever bright. Your glory’s breaking through the night.”

“Ah, ah, ah—”

The lift platform descended, and Xu Heran rushed toward Xin Nuo, holding her hand and walking back.

“Surprise~”

Xin Nuo released Xu Heran’s hand, gently embracing Lin Weining.

“At this moment, how could I not be here?”

Lin Weining wiped away a tear from the corner of her eye, her lips curved upward, “No wonder you wanted me to stay! A bunch of liars!”

She raised the microphone, holding Xin Nuo’s hand and addressed the fans below, “See, they always bully me like this!”

The fans burst into laughter, clearly detecting a hint of pride in her tone.

Lin Weining felt that she had the best friends and teammates in the world; it was the greatest gift from heaven.

“But Nuo Nuo’s first hug after returning to the country was for you,” Xu Heran said, putting her arm around Xin Nuo’s shoulder and winking.

Haya immediately turned Lin Weining around, gave her a hug, and then looked at the quizzical Xu Heran, saying, “Now it’s my turn.”

Xu Heran: “?”

Haya: “Do you want it back?”

She spread her arms.

Xu Heran rolled her eyes, “Get lost!”

“Childish ghost,” Song Fenghua whispered.

Jian Yueyin and Laurel nodded in agreement. Jiang Qiong immediately stepped back, putting on a mature expression and distancing herself from her teammates.

In any case, FYU’s solo concert came to a successful close. The three girl groups, consisting of seventeen members, went for a meal together. SGS and Shu Guo Tang, who hadn’t sung enough, continued with karaoke.

In the dim light of the private room, Haya reached Lin Weining’s side.

“Xian Xian, I used to always say for you guys to come visit my hometown. This year, you finally don’t have a tight schedule. Do you want to come play with me?” Haya squatted in front of Lin Weining with a smiling face, asking.

The light in the private room fell on Lin Weining’s face, making her blush. She bent down, cradled her face, her voice slightly hoarse from singing for so long. She spoke gently, softly saying, “Then you better prepare a lot of delicious food for me.”

Haya grabbed her wrist, “That’s a given.”

“I’ll prepare a lot of things you like. You just have to bring yourself.”

Lin Weining raised her eyebrows, “Sure.”

“Where are you going?”

A head popped over, “We’re going too!”

Xu Heran said, “I’ll cover my own expenses.”

Haya: “…Get lost!”

“Don’t, bring me along! I want to eat the pot stickers our mom makes,” Xu Heran snapped her fingers, “Xian Xian will definitely let Nuo Nuo and me go.”

Haya immediately turned to Lin Weining and said, “Say no.”

Lin Weining whispered, “No… alright.”

“Exactly!” Haya pushed Xu Heran’s leg away and sat beside Lin Weining.

Lin Weining smiled and added, “It wouldn’t be good if Zhu Zhu and Nuo Nuo didn’t go.”

Xu Heran grinned, “Exactly!”

Haya: “…”

Xu Heran patted Haya’s shoulder, “We definitely won’t disturb you when we go.”

Lin Weining immediately averted her gaze, feeling a bit embarrassed as she stared at the screen.

“Sigh.” Haya covered her face. Just then, another head popped up beside them, “Then I’ll go too, I want to eat pot stickers as well.”

Haya: “…”

Jian Yueyin, who was looking at the menu, said, “I don’t have plans for the Lunar New Year.”

Song Fenghua had been busy on the set filming all year, she spoke softly, “Then I’ll go too.”

Laurel: “Since that’s the case, I’ll…”

Haya: “…Fine.”

She silently poked her head out. Thankfully, they were seated in a row, and the others didn’t hear their conversation. If she also brought FYU and Shu Guo Tang, Haya thought it might be easier to just book a hotel.

Annoyed Haya looked at Xu Heran.

“Don’t worry, friend. I’m going to help you,” Xu Heran put her arm around Haya’s shoulder, speaking in a low voice, “You just want to confess your feelings, right? I’ll help you! I have experience!”

Haya looked at her skeptically, “How do you know?”

“Aren’t you not going home for the Lunar New Year this year?”

Xu Heran looked quite depressed, “I don’t want to go back. My sister and her wife are getting married this year. If I go back, my mom will definitely push for the wedding. I want to go, but I haven’t proposed yet. And I don’t want to keep the marriage a secret. I’ll wait until I publicly announce my relationship with Nuo Nuo.”

Not having confessed yet but her sister, who is three years younger, is already considering marriage, Haya: “… Sigh.”

“Don’t worry, watch me!”

Watch you?

During the holiday break, early morning, a villa in Province D, someone’s room.

Haya slouched in a chair, watching as Xu Heran angrily scrolled through a food delivery app.

“Why don’t they have the flowers I want!” Xu Heran exclaimed in frustration, “How can I choose such ordinary flowers for a confession!”

Haya rested her chin in her hand and said, “The flowers you want are expensive and delicate. The weather in my hometown, plus transportation and preservation, is inconvenient during winter.”

After she finished, she saw Xu Heran sit up straight. Haya tilted her head, “Did you come up with a solution?”

Xu Heran grinned triumphantly, “No worries, I’ll order them and have them delivered.”

Haya said, “Alright!”

“In that case, I’ll make a list.” Haya enthusiastically leaned over, “Have you seen my diamond ring? It’s so dazzling!”

Xu Heran asked, “You’re using a diamond ring for the confession?”

Suddenly, she felt like she was losing.

Her sister was getting married this year, and her grandmother had taken out a pair of blue diamond rings from her collection for the two of them. She even had a pair of pink diamond rings intended for Xu Heran and Xin Nuo.

Haya smiled smugly at Xu Heran.

“So, tomorrow?” Xu Heran asked Haya, “Play it by ear?”

Haya took a deep breath, “Okay.”

After they discussed everything, Xu Heran returned to the bedroom satisfied. Xin Nuo was still sleeping. Xu Heran carefully got into bed, kissed Xin Nuo’s ear, and held her as they both went back to sleep.

The next morning, Haya stood by the window, arms crossed, looking at the heavy snowfall outside. She let out a sigh.

“Ayah?” Lin Weining came downstairs, her face still carrying the traces of sleep.

“You’re up so early today?” Haya turned around, her face innocent as she smiled at Lin Weining.

“Yeah, I wanted to get some water,” Lin Weining whispered.

“I’ll pour it for you.” Haya hurried to the kitchen to get warm water for Lin Weining and brought hot milk and breakfast.

Lin Weining looked very well-behaved as she ate. Holding the boiled egg, she took slow bites and chewed carefully. She noticed Haya looking at her, and she would occasionally lift her head and smile at Haya.

Haya’s eyes grew deeper, lips curling.

“The snow is falling heavily,” Lin Weining whispered, “We can’t go out to play today.”

With that thought, Haya sighed, “I was actually thinking of having a snowball fight.”

And to express something.

“Let’s see if it stops by noon,” she said.

Lin Weining nodded, “Mhm.”

The restaurant only had the two of them, and the atmosphere was very quiet, until an urgent phone call interrupted Haya’s gaze.

“Hello?” Haya’s voice was low.

Hana: “Haya! Xiaohei just ran out! It took your diamond ring with it!”

Thump—

Haya stood up abruptly, pressing against the table. “What?!”

“It didn’t want to be tied down with too many things, got a bit upset, so I let it out of the stable. But I didn’t close the door properly, and it ran out by itself!” Hana said anxiously.

Haya’s head buzzed. Just then, Lin Weining pointed outside in surprise, “It’s Xiaohei.”

“!”

Haya instantly turned around and saw Xiaohei standing by the window, snorting at her.

Lin Weining smiled, “What’s Xiaohei tied up with?”

Haya said, “…Uh, I’ll be right back. You keep eating, it’s cold outside.”

She practically threw on her coat and rushed out, grabbing Xiaohei. It was then that Lin Weining noticed that Xiaohei was adorned with numerous flowers—overlapping petals, single petals, clusters of small blossoms—all snow-white. If not for the black horse’s coat, it would have almost melted into the white snow.

“Hmm?”

Lin Weining stood up, puzzled. She saw Haya embracing the horse’s head, caressing it, and she also wanted to pat the horse while trying to figure out what happened. Lin Weining changed into warmer clothes and stepped outside. Snowflakes fluttered down as Lin Weining struggled to walk through the snowy ground. Before she could get closer to Haya, she suddenly heard her surprised voice, “XianXian, where’s Mom’s ring? Where did you put Mom’s ring?”

The ring?

Lin Weining approached with confusion and saw Haya holding a small red box in panic. The box was empty, there was nothing inside.

“It’s lost?” she asked softly, raising her hand to touch Xiaohei’s clear eyes.

“Xiaohei, do you remember me? I’m Aunt Weining,” Lin Weining smiled and asked.

Xiaohei pawed at the snow on the ground in agitation.

“Did you lose your mom’s ring and throw a tantrum?” Haya grabbed the reins. “Where did you come from? Help me find it!”

Xiaohei shook its head and followed her with hesitant steps.

Lin Weining curiously followed, “What ring?”

Haya hesitated for a moment and whispered, “It’s nothing.”

“I’ll help you look for it.”

“No need, you go back,” Haya said to her.

Lin Weining stubbornly lifted her chin, “No, I won’t!”

Haya glanced at Lin Weining but didn’t say anything.

There were still traces of Xiaohei’s hooves on the ground. In the snowy field, the two girls were on the ground, searching for traces of the ring.

“Feeling cold? If it’s cold, go back inside,” Haya said.

After a while, Haya said again, “Is your feet cold? Go back and put on a scarf.”

Lin Weining grabbed a handful of snow and pouted, “You’re so annoying! Don’t talk to me.”

Haya said, “…I’m sorry.”

“Hmph.”

Lin Weining tossed the snowball in her hand at Haya’s feet and asked softly, “You still haven’t told me, what ring is it?”

Haya licked her lips.

“Who is it for?” Lin Weining lowered her hand, her reddened fingers tracing patterns in the snow. “Tell me.”

Haya saw Lin Weining’s hands, red from the cold, and frowned. She quickly grabbed Lin Weining’s hand and put it in her pocket. “I told you to go back, are you cold?”

Lin Weining blinked, “I’m not cold.”

“Tell me quickly!” Haya rolled her eyes, “As long as you tell me who the ring is for, I’ll tell you where the ring is.”

“?”

Lin Weining pretended to be mysterious, “You don’t know, I can read fortunes!”

Haya fell silent for a moment, let out a breath into her hand, then immediately reached into her pocket and tried to take Lin Weining’s hand.

“Oh no!” Lin Weining tightly clenched her fist and struggled, “For the exchange of items, you have to tell me first!”

“It’s me who found it!”

Upon hearing this, Haya suddenly let go of her hand, squatting down in the snowy ground.

“Alright.”

Lin Weining looked at her and opened her hand, a beautiful diamond ring lying in her palm, shining brightly.

On the snowy ground, there were fallen flower branches that Xiaohei had dropped when trotting around. Haya picked up a snow-white rose from the snow and tossed it into Lin Weining’s arms, shaking her head.

“This is different from what I had in mind.”

The woman felt a bit frustrated, lifted her hand somewhat embarrassedly, and touched her nose.

“But… never mind.”

“XianXian,” she looked up, gazing into Lin Weining’s clear and serene eyes, “You don’t need to return the ring to me. In this lifetime, you don’t need to return it to me.”

“Because it belongs to you.”

“If you’re willing, I also belong to you. From now on, Haya will belong to Lin Weining. So, would you like to be my girlfriend?”

The snow, at some point, had become smaller. Through the scattered snowflakes, two pairs of beautiful eyes met, silently gazing at each other.

In Haya’s uneasy gaze, Lin Weining suddenly chuckled. She touched her blushing face with her rosy hand and whispered, “Ninety-three.”

“Huh?” Haya opened her eyes in confusion, only to see Lin Weining suddenly get up and pounce towards her—toward the black horse beside her.

“Xiaohei is mine!”

“?”

Embracing the horse, Lin Weining buried her face in Xiaohei’s soft fur and said in a muffled voice, “You said, three months to chase someone, with Xiaohei in the mix, but today is the ninety-third day.”

“You didn’t make it!”

The girl’s face, ears, and neck were as scorching as molten lava in the icy snow. She tightly gripped the ring.

“The ring is mine, Xiaohei is mine, Haya…”

Is also mine.

In the silence, a pair of hands tightly embraced Lin Weining. Haya lowered her head and whispered softly into Lin Weining’s ear, “Thank you.”

“I love you.”

“All’s well that ends well.”

On the balcony, the six people wrapped in blankets extended their hands and applauded in unison.

“But aren’t they cold? They should have confessed and gotten together by now. Why aren’t they going inside?”

“Singles wouldn’t understand. Love, well, it’s really scorching.” Xu Heran held the person in her arms tightly and said with a smile, “Let’s go back inside.”

“You lovebirds!”

“Phooey!”

As far as the eye could see, snow fell one by one, yet the souls of those in love were burning hot, a fire that the snow couldn’t extinguish.

Lovers, finally united.
