The Players And The Protagonist Want To Kill Me – Volume 1, Chapter 30

Chapter 30: Behemoth and Breakthrough

Bayden Bloodfang sensed the fierce determination of the young human knight before him and held nothing back. Activating his Frenzy Skills, Legion Will, and Boiling Blood in quick succession, he rallied his Orc Legion with a roar.

“Fight to the death with me, Orc Legion!”

“Lok’tar Ogar!”

With the amplification of Frenzy Skills and Legion Will, Bayden Bloodfang and the orc soldiers around him were all strengthened. They became faster, stronger, and more fearless of death.

This instantly increased the pressure on the knights charging with Sivey, and one or two knights had even been thrown off their horses by the frenzied orc soldiers.

The battle between Bayden Bloodfang and Sivey had entered a white-hot stage. The surrounding knights and orc soldiers all avoided this area, as no one wanted to get involved in such a high-level battle.

As their duel intensified, their weapons clashed, creating a piercing sound of metal against metal. Sivey grew bolder with each passing moment, his confidence rising, while Bayden Bloodfang began to falter under the weight of exhaustion.

“Do you believe you’ve triumphed, human knight?”

Bayden Bloodfang sneered through labored breaths, struggling to speak in the Common tongue of the Broken Continent.

His situation was dire. The young knight’s sword wielded immense weight, his sword not only struck down his long-time companion, the wolf Kahn, but also inflicted severe internal injuries, leaving his entire skeleton groaning under the strain.”

However, even so, Bayden Bloodfang remained calm. He continued to parry the incoming greatsword while speaking in broken Continental Common:

“I admit you are a powerful, young knight! But look at your followers, they are almost exhausted.”

“But I still have many Orc soldiers, and perhaps I have even more soldiers?”

Sivey’s eyes narrowed at the words, a bad premonition arising in his heart.

Just as he saw the Orc Chieftain suddenly parry his Longsword and immediately roll back, he reached for a strangely shaped bone whistle from his waist.

“Not good! This dog thing is going to summon reinforcements!”

Sivey reacted quickly. His Greatsword was thrown out abruptly, poised to strike the orc Chieftain.

But just then, two orc infantrymen shouted “Lok’tar” (for victory) and fearlessly rushed forward, blocking Sivey’s giant sword.

Sivey frowned, immediately spurred his horse forward, drew out the giant swords embedded in the two orcs, and when he looked up, the orc Chieftain had already blown the bone whistle.

“Beep—!”

“Roar!”

“Roar—!”

As if in response to the whistle, a terrifying roar echoed from behind a hill, followed by a group of seven or eight behemoths with hippo heads, long fangs, lion legs, crocodile backs, and gray fur charging out.

“It’s Behemoth!”

A knight near the hill instantly noticed the appearance of these monsters on the battlefield. In the blink of an eye, he was screaming as one Behemoth grabbed him with its giant claws, swallowing him whole.

“Be… Behemoth, Lord, retreat quickly!”

“By the gods… Aren’t they supposed to be in the Northlands?”

[Name: Behemoth]

[Identity: Behemoth (Young) (Common)]

[Strength: Level 36 (21-40)]

[Skills: Devour, Charge, Pounce, Stomp, Frenzy]

[Equipment: None]

[Monster Reputation: 43621 (The Norn Empire of the Northlands holds profound memories of these colossal beings. Have you encountered Satan’s minions? They are them.)]

Looking at the information panel of the Behemoth beast, Sivey pursed his lips. The Qi on his body was already running low after a long battle. A knight without Qi would be significantly weakened.

They could not afford to stay any longer; they had to break through! With two swords, he cut through the encroaching orc infantry, his fist raised high.

“All knights, break out from the center! Move swiftly!” he commanded.

The panicked knights instantly calmed upon hearing their lord’s voice. Using their knight spears and longswords, they pushed back the orc infantry’s advance, following Sivey on horseback.

Sivey and his knights found themselves deeply surrounded, while sword and shield soldiers outside fought fiercely to create an escape route for their lord.

But the orc infantry continued to multiply, and the Behemoth beasts drew nearer.

On the flank of the battlefield, Clement looked anxious. He and Talrand were also held back by a large contingent of orc infantry, unable to reach their comrades in time for assistance.

Even the players felt anxious. Despite their past encounters with Sivey, a powerful and heroic NPC, they couldn’t help but admire him. Many warrior players were eager to break through the orc infantry’s defense, but their levels were still too low.

The Orc legion had resolved to eliminate Sivey and his party at any cost, and it seemed they were on the verge of succeeding.

“Damn it! Eagle Lord, don’t die! We’re supposed to be the ones to take you down!”

“What about the Taurens?”

“I don’t know. They might have been intercepted by another orc unit and haven’t been seen.”

“Sobs… Sob… Lord Brother, the child is still waiting for you to come back and take care of them… Sob…”

“Warriors, keep pushing forward! Mages, unleash your spells inside! Use your skills! Are you all too hungry to focus?”

“Can’t you idiots see we’re out of mana? We’re in a hurry here!”

This chaotic scene unfolded as the players struggled to coordinate their efforts amid the mounting pressure from the orc forces.

Just when everyone thought the outcome was already determined.

Near a forest on the battlefield’s flank, accompanied by the Tauren’s rugged roar:

“Strength and loyalty!”

“Bloodhoof Clan, let’s wrestle with those big-headed orcs!”

“Hu-ha!”

Baine Bloodhoof (Tauren Chieftain), wielding a giant axes, kicked away an obstructing orc infantryman and led his Bloodhoof Clan into the battlefield.

“By the Earth Mother, these Orcs in this world are so hideous and short!”

Karl muttered with disdain. With a powerful punch, he crushed the Orc infantryman’s head against his chest, then shouted vehemently, “They’re a disgrace to the Orc race!”

Baine Bloodhoof had already rushed up against a Behemoth beast taller than him, holding back its giant claw with one hand and wielding his axe with the other. He erupted with astonishing strength, actually throwing the Behemoth beast over his shoulder onto the ground.

“Come on, big guy! Get up!”

With the help of the Bloodhoof Clan, the pressure on Sivey and his knights instantly decreased a lot, and they quickly cut a bloody path from the Orc infantry’s siege.

Common Tauren Warriors alone couldn’t beat a Behemoth beast, so they teamed up, holding back most of the Behemoth beasts.

The remaining two Behemoth beasts were not a concern. Sivey dealt with one, Clement with the other.

If it weren’t for considering that these minions of Satan were difficult to tame, Sivey really wanted to catch one and use it to pull his cart.

The knights, who had regrouped with the sword and shield soldiers, rallied and fought back. With the sword and shield soldiers’ cover, they killed the remaining orc infantry.

The tide of the Orc legion was already set.

Bayden Bloodfang (Orc Chieftain) weakly leaned against his deceased old companion, touching Kahn’s wolf head and closing his eyes for his wolf. The surrounding orcs were killed one by one by human soldiers.

Orcs would never surrender for their glory; death in battle was the destiny of every orc Warrior.
