The Players And The Protagonist Want To Kill Me – Volume 1, Chapter 59
Chapter 59: Assassination of the Holy See
Seeing the charming little maid, Sivey couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed. If he kissed her now, and the little maid practiced some instruments with him again, would he be able to sleep tonight?
Could he resist it?
Amitabha, Sivey decisively pretended to fall asleep.
“Snooze… snooze…”
“Hmph…”
The little maid pouted, unhappy with him pretending to sleep with his eyes closed. She puffed up her cheeks, twisted her body, and lay on Sivey’s chest. With a “smack,” she kissed him on the lips, as if it wasn’t enough, she kissed him several more times. Then, with a satisfied blush on her face, she burrowed into the covers.
Actually, she wanted to practice instruments with Master, but Lena told her it was best not to do it every day, or Master would get tired.
Although Lori felt that the young master seemed a bit overly excited… but since Lena said so, she didn’t dare to take it lightly.
After a moment of quiet, Sivey reluctantly opened his eyes and glanced at the blissful little maid nestled in his arms, then leaned down and kissed her forehead before letting his mind gradually drift off to sleep.
Moonlight streamed in through the hole in the roof, gently sprinkling over the two figures cuddling together.
With rosy cheeks, Lori stared at Sivey’s profile, infatuated, watching for a long, long time.
…
In the dead of night, a dozen or so stealthy figures appeared at the gates of Winterfell.
They were all dressed in black robes, wearing hoods and carrying weapon bags on their backs.
The night wind lifted the corner of their black robes, revealing the standard armor and the red dragon emblem underneath.
“Who goes there?”
By the faint light of torches, the guards on the city wall spotted this group of people.
The black-robed figures didn’t speak. They took out grappling hooks from their weapon bags and threw them with force, hooking onto the ten-meter-high city wall.
Seeing the situation turning bad, the guards tried to cut the ropes of the hooks with their swords, but the ropes, made of some unknown material, were as tough as metal.
For a while, the guards couldn’t cut them, and the black-robed figures, propelled by Qi, pulled themselves up the city wall and stabbed a sword into the back of a guard.
Other guards drew their swords to face the attackers and sounded the alarm on the city wall.
“Someone’s attacking the city!”
“Be on high alert!”
However, these black-robed figures didn’t waste time with the guards. After killing a few guards, they quickly descended from the city wall and galloped towards Winterkeep.
These black-robed figures were extremely fast. Before the city defense guards could notify the city patrol inside the city, they were about to enter Winterfell Inner City.
But at this moment, a sharp-eyed, hunched old man blocked their way.
“This way is blocked.”
Nyx Parker stood under the moonlight, carrying a sword on his back, with a cold look in his eyes.
His long shadow trailed behind him, covering his small pharmacy.
The wide street quieted down for a moment. The leader of the black-robed figures stepped forward, took off his hood, and revealed a middle-aged face.
“Old Parker, do you still recognize me?”
Old Parker squinted, bursting with intense hatred, his lips trembling as he said coldly:
“Wade Hawke? It’s you…”
“Yes, Old Parker.”
The Temple knight named Wade showed an elegant smile and said:
“If it weren’t for your eyes, I probably wouldn’t recognize you. I didn’t expect that in just a year or two, you’ve become so old.”
“Your wife’s blood is really useful. Now I feel stronger than ever before. Thank you, Parker.”
The Temple knight spoke, his eyes emitting a dazzling blue light, an aura of a top Earth Knight emanating from him.
He looked disdainfully at the hunched figure of Parker, then sneered:
“I’ve been waiting for you to come and seek revenge from us, Alchemy Master Parker. I just don’t know, now that you’ve lost your source of magic, how do you plan to take revenge on us, a useless person like you?”
Parker trembled all over, his eyes turning red with hatred and anger.
He reached into the pocket of his coat and pulled out a small box.
Opening the box, there lay a red pill inside.
“I originally planned to kill these Temple knights and then come to find you… I didn’t expect you to come by yourself… Revenge, you’ll see…”
“I, prom…ise!”
His low, hoarse voice came through the night wind, filled with hatred and determination. He carefully took out the red pill from the small box, and shoved it into his mouth.
As the pill was swallowed by Parker, his whole body began to convulse abnormally, the tearing pain making his figure even more hunched.
This was the result of his two years of lurking in Winterfell.
First, he used all his assets to buy Demon hearts and five drops of dragon blood.
Then, he found a method of alchemy using life force from ancient books, replacing magic to make this pill.
This pill can elevate a Common person’s strength to the extreme within three days, at the cost of death.
Cough… Cough…
Ticking…
A large amount of blood was splattered on the ground, and Parker’s momentum gradually increased. He lifted his head, spitting out a few mouthfuls of blood, and his originally dark gray hair became white and rough.
“Lisna, I’m sorry…… I couldn’t protect you… nor could I accompany you in time…”
“But, it’s almost time,” Parker smiled, tears of blood dropping from the corners of his eyes, and pulled out his Longsword from behind:
“I’ll kill them, and then I’ll come to be with you!”
Boom!
A fierce Qi ignited in Parker’s body. At this moment, he, who had overdrafted his entire life with a special potion, finally reached the realm of a Sky Knight.
For two years, Parker had practiced his sword day and night, transforming from a frail alchemy Warlock into a calloused warrior.
He feared that at this moment, he would have all this strength but not know how to use it.
Now, all his efforts are paying off.
Qi surged, unstoppable.
At this moment, he was no longer the alchemy Master Parker, but the Sky Knight Parker, embracing blood vengeance and a determination to die.
“Die—!”
The Temple knights felt no fear from Parker’s Sky Knight aura. After all, he was just a Common person with the quantity of Sky Knight Qi. He had no knight skills, no insights and experiences of a Sky Knight. Even if he learned to use a sword, it was only tricky but not fatal.
Wade sneered coldly, drew his Longsword from behind, and ordered the other knights behind him:
“Number two and number three, come with me, play with this old dog. The rest, go complete the Pope’s quest.”
“Don’t underestimate him, finish it quickly.”
The other Temple knights nodded slightly at the order, bypassing the four who had already begun fierce combat and rushing towards Winterkeep.

《Parker’s Diary》
Lisna, I dreamed of you again.
It’s been a long time.
Sleeping is a luxury for me.
Countless days and nights.
I am tormented by guilt.
I stay awake all night in hatred.
As long as I close my eyes, I will see the scene of you being taken away by those beasts, they killed you in front of me, blood stained the ground, staining the altar of the ritual.
How could I forget this bone-deep hatred?
I survive.
Like a wolf hidden in the night.
Their stupidest move was to disable my source of magic but not my brain.
As an alchemy Warlock, knowledge is the most important thing.
I thought I would never dream again, but when this day finally came, I finally slept peacefully.
But, perhaps this is the last time I dream of you, but that doesn’t mean I have a single fraction less of longing for you.
I will soon come to be with you.
Life has given me many choices, but I have never made the right one, but this time, I swear my choice will be correct.
I thought I would never be able to kill those demons in my life, but I didn’t expect to find a way to fight demons among the demons.
I have prepared for this day for too long.
My life has been too quiet for too long, it’s time to act.
Lisna, please wait a little longer.
Just wait a little longer.
I will take your sword and kill those beasts who completed the transformation ceremony with your blood.
I will fight until the last moment.
Drain the last drop of blood from my body.
Perhaps they have long forgotten the name of the court alchemy mage Parker and the sins they committed.
But I will make them remember in a pool of blood.
Let them repent of their crimes in wailing.
This time.
As a Warrior.
