Grab The Heroine and Run Away Ch. 53
The night breeze lightly drifted, pushing the clouds in the sky away into the distance.
In the vast park, the lights were like wandering dragons, dispelling the darkness. The tree shadows swayed, the fragrance of flowers floated, and animals that had just fallen asleep were awakened by the broadcasted hint, sticking their heads out in confusion.
The broadcast sounded three times in total.
“Lin Weining eliminated!”
“Lin Weining eliminated!”
“Ah… I get it, can we please not mention it again!”
Lin Weining put on a face mask, disappointment evident, and followed the staff to leave. She spoke to the camera, “I haven’t even figured out what happened, and I’ve already been eliminated?”
Her accompanying director smiled and nodded.
“Ning Ning got eliminated?” Haya said in shock.
Song Fenghua stood opposite her, and the two exchanged glances across the fountain.
“She’s been with you the whole time,” Song Fenghua looked at Haya suspiciously.
Haya immediately said, “It wasn’t me! I just separated from her a while ago, not even two minutes, and she’s eliminated?”
“Such a coincidence?” Jian Yueyin came from behind, startling Haya when she spoke.
Upon hearing the news of Lin Weining’s elimination, everyone hurried to the square near the fountain.
“Hey, the personal identity hints at this booth are out of stock,” Xu Heran pointed to the booth on the square and asked. Haya told her, “I walked around the park in a circle. There are four booths in total. Lin Weining, Jiang Qiong, and I all exchanged for personal identity hints, and they ran out of stock after that.”
Xu Heran nodded, “There’s still one booth that isn’t out of stock, but wait, did both your red team and blue team choose mission hints?”
“What red team, blue team? We’re individual teams now. I’m here to avenge Ning Ning!” Haya raised her hand, “Ning Ning—”
“The personal identity hint at the last booth was probably exchanged by Laurel,” Jiang Qiong said.
Xin Nuo walked over and said, “No, I just came from there and took a look. There was no out-of-stock sign at that booth.”
“Huh?” Everyone looked at Xin Nuo in surprise.
Xu Heran scratched her face, “Then Laurel must not have exchanged. Wait, where’s Laurel?”
“Who eliminated Weining?”
“It was me,” a cold voice sounded behind Xu Heran.
Little Pearl jumped in fright and rushed to Xin Nuo, hugging her tightly.
Laurel wore a flower crown on her head, standing with a gloomy expression, her hands on her hips. She had flower crowns around her neck and wrists, looking like she had returned from a vacation at the seaside.
The remaining six girls watched her warily.
“This was an accident,” Laurel said, a lollipop stick in her mouth, pressing against her cheek as she spoke. “I swear to the heavens!”
Xu Heran immediately exclaimed, “Liar! You eliminated Weining. Can you accidentally eliminate someone?”
“It’s true,” Laurel said in frustration.
Jian Yueyin quickly asked her, “Then how did you eliminate her?”
Laurel glanced at her and shook her head.
“…I can’t tell you, but I can tell everyone to be cautious of the people around you.”
This was the hint she received in the final round. Everyone understood it now, so they found her words even less trustworthy, feeling that she was trying to conceal something.
Everyone shouted together, “The person we should be most careful of is you!”
Laurel laughed and waved her hand, “Really, trust me.”
“We don’t believe you!”
Xu Heran hugged Xin Nuo tightly and whispered, “Let’s go quickly, let’s move away from them.”
The two of them slowly stepped back.
“Is Laurel’s flower crown her weapon? She didn’t exchange her identity card, so how did she find her weapon and know how to eliminate people?” Xu Heran couldn’t understand, “She can eliminate Weining?”
Xin Nuo was also unsure. She had just been briefed by Xu Heran and had learned about the positions in the canyon.
“She exchanged candies,” Xin Nuo whispered, “Let’s go to the exchange booth and take a look.”
Xu Heran nodded quickly.
At this moment, Haya called them from behind, and the three of them huddled together secretly.
“Let’s share information,” Haya said with a grin, “Exchange hints, what do you think?”
Xu Heran and Xin Nuo exchanged glances and nodded.
“Let’s start with Weining,” Xin Nuo said, “Since Weining got eliminated, I think you can tell us about her information.”
Haya was very sincere. She said, “Weining’s identity hint: You hold a wand.”
“Oh~” Xu Heran’s eyes lit up. “Weining is a mage?”
Haya gave a thumbs-up.
“Laurel can eliminate mages, but what position is Laurel in?” Xu Heran scratched her head. “She’s wearing a flower crown.”
“It’s either support or guardian,” Haya said. “Your turn.”
Xu Heran said, “I’m Red Overlord!”
“…What’s that?” Haya was even more confused, utterly puzzled.
Xin Nuo glanced at Xu Heran, giving her a look. Xu Heran immediately said, “Then you need to tell us another piece of information.”
Haya grinned, “I can tell you that Jiang Xiaoqiong is a Crystal.”
For her unhesitating act of selling out her former teammate, Xu Heran and Xin Nuo gave praise and affirmation, and the three went their separate ways.
“Haya doesn’t know the attack rules yet. We have to take advantage of this and quickly find a way to eliminate her!” Xu Heran immediately exclaimed, “I have a weapon now. As long as you don’t attack me, I’m invincible!”
“Why give us weapons but not explain how to use them?” Xin Nuo grumbled. “Where’s my weapon?”
Of course, Xu Heran didn’t know either. The two of them walked up to the exchange point. They still had their star coins, totaling a hundred star coins.
“What’s the use of this Lucky Lollipop and Lucky Sticker?” Xu Heran questioned the vendor behind the stall with suspicion. The vendor wore sunglasses and stood stiffly, unmoving.
“He definitely won’t tell you,” Xin Nuo laughed and patted Pearl’s head, who was resting on the table.
“Then how about exchanging two lollipops and one sticker?” Xu Heran whispered.
Xin Nuo thought for a moment, “Give it a try.”
Xu Heran immediately turned her head and looked at the vendor with a skeptical look, counting out forty star coins on the table.
Trembling fingers from the vendor handed over a sticker with a red gemstone on it, along with two lollipops. The lollipops bumped into the bag, and inside was also a card.
“Delicious candies that might bring you good luck, and if not, the sweet taste will bring you a wonderful mood~ Isn’t it a great deal to buy it?”
Xu Heran: “…”
“So, this is just an ordinary lollipop!” Xu Heran yelled in anger, “Unscrupulous merchant! Cheating my hard-earned money!”
Xin Nuo hugged Xu Heran’s waist, stopping her from making a fake move to flip over the vendor’s stall. She patted her shoulder and smiled, “It’s okay, at least it’s delicious, right?”
“What’s the use of this sticker?” Xin Nuo asked Xu Heran.
The ruby sticker was about half a palm size for a girl. Xu Heran held it in her hand, waving it around, looking puzzled.
Xin Nuo asked the vendor, “If I choose a mission hint, can you tell us how to use the sticker?”
The vendor’s tone was stern, “All hints are random.”
Xin Nuo: “…”
The girl squinted her eyes, took a step back while holding the lollipop, and pointed her finger.
“Go!”
Xu Heran immediately rushed forward.
“Unscrupulous merchant, cheating people’s hard-earned money!”
“I only have so few star coins, and you cheated them all from me! And no after-sales service! Fraud!”
The vendor held onto his small table, trembling, “Thank you for your patronage, welcome to visit again.”
Xu Heran waved her hand, “Not coming again! Only fools come!”
Xin Nuo paused her action of taking out star coins, glanced at Xu Heran with a side-eye, and Xu Heran immediately changed her tone, “Beautiful Nuo Nuo can come.”
“Hmph.” Xin Nuo placed the star coins on the table. “I choose the mission hint.”
The vendor pulled an envelope from the drawer and handed it to her.
Two heads immediately lowered, purple and green hair pressed together.
“Mission hint: Eliminate Lucky Minions, they will drop a random number of star coins.”
“Oh?” Xu Heran stood up immediately, “Lucky Minions?”
“How to eliminate them?”
Xin Nuo put away the hint, “We still need hints, and didn’t you say just now that Fenghua found star coins in the park? Let’s continue to search for hints. Perhaps we might encounter Lucky Minions during the search.”
“Right, you have a weapon, can you summon three clones?” Xin Nuo’s suggestion was whether Xu Heran wanted to use it now.
Xu Heran wrinkled her face, “That can only be used once. I want to save it for a critical moment. What do you think, sis?”
Considering there were still many people around, Xin Nuo nodded, pointing at the two paths in front of them.
“I’ll search from this side, you search from that side, and we’ll meet at the end. If we get separated in between, we’ll regroup at this exchange point.” She directed, “We should bring the walkie-talkies.”
Xu Heran nodded. The two of them parted ways in front of the exchange stall.
Half an hour later, the vendor at the exchange point put up the “closed” sign and left. Jian Yueyin, who arrived late, scratched her head and went to find the next exchange location.
Song Fenghua followed slowly behind Laurel.
“Why are you following me?” Laurel took a lollipop out of her pocket and waved it at Song Fenghua, “No emergency syrup, only lollipops. Can you not follow me if I give you one?”
Song Fenghua stood with her hands behind her back and asked, “Can you tell me how you eliminated Weining?”
“No, I can’t.” Laurel looked at Song Fenghua as she approached, feeling somewhat suspicious. “I don’t think your gaze is very friendly.”
A hint of a smile appeared in Song Fenghua’s eyes. Suddenly, she ran towards Laurel, and Laurel turned and ran. The two of them chased each other along the shaded path.
“Fenghua is so scary!” Laurel couldn’t help but exclaim.
Song Fenghua chased her relentlessly and finally cornered her in a corner due to her longer legs than Laurel’s. The pink-haired girl, gasping for breath, grabbed Laurel’s wrist and shouted, “Laurel eliminated!”
Laurel: “…”
Laurel:“……”
“You’re scarier than Little Pearl now, you know that?” Laurel panted heavily.
Both of them were catching their breath. Song Fenghua let go and supported her waist as she asked, “Didn’t I eliminate you?”
Laurel: “…Why would you eliminate me?”
She was one of the last to enter the park and hadn’t found many hints yet. She raised her hand and pointed at Song Fenghua’s forehead.
“Turn into a pig.”
Song Fenghua shook her head, muttering “I’m leaving” under her breath, pretending nothing had happened as she walked away, frequently looking back at Laurel.
Laurel: “?”
Strange and terrifying at the same time.
“Is Uncle Liu recording a horror variety show?” she whispered to the camera, “This park is so big, I feel a little scared.”
Laurel got up, patted her bottom, and suddenly pulled out a card from her pocket. She glanced at it twice, “How about giving it a try?”
“Oh~ Little Fenghua can eliminate Laurel with a knife.” Jiang Qiong hid behind the bushes, observing everything. She smirked, jotting down the information in her little notebook, “Hiahia, the final victory will surely belong to me. The crystal is the beginning of everything and will also be the end of victory!”
After Laurel left, she stood up from the grass. Just as she took a step, she stumbled forward.
“Hiss… I squatted for too long, my leg’s numb.” Jiang Qiong limped on one leg as she walked on the “right path,” muttering, “It’s a good thing the mosquito repellent worked well, otherwise I would have been eaten by bugs.”
Muttering to herself, she walked alongside her little soldiers wearing pointed hats. Jiang Qiong glanced at them, then withdrew her gaze uninterestedly. Just as she lowered her head, she paused.
“Wait a minute?” Jiang Qiong immediately put her pen and paper back into her bag, dragging her numb leg forward. “That little girl with the fair face, haven’t we met before?”
Several fair-faced little girls among the pointed hats turned around.
“No! It’s her! The one who dared not look back at me!” Jiang Qiong became somewhat anxious, but her legs were still numb and itchy. She sat down on the ground with a smile, rubbing her leg, “Dropping the ball at a critical moment!”
Jiang Qiong pinched her legs tightly a couple of times, looked up at the slowly moving figure of the little soldiers, and as her legs started feeling better, she suddenly jumped up and chased after them.
“No running!”
“Wow wow wow!” The little soldiers with flags raised in their hands yelled and scattered in all directions. Among the little soldiers, a girl with a slender figure and not particularly tall didn’t look back, sprinting away.
Jiang Qiong hurriedly chased, but soon she was left far behind.
“She must be a short-distance running champion!” Jiang Qiong exclaimed in shock.
Before she could finish speaking, another shadow “whooshed” past her, and Song Fenghua, with an expressionless face, pursued the running figure. Nearby, Laurel also rushed over upon hearing the commotion.
“Catch her!”
The lively noise immediately caught everyone’s attention, and SGS members quickly gathered.
Just as Xu Heran emerged from an intersection, she saw a girl disappear with a “whoosh” right before her eyes, leaving only her pointed hat on the ground.
“Sister! Your hat!” Xu Heran picked up the hat and put it on her own head.
“It’s Yuemeng!” Jian Yueyin stood diagonally across from Xu Heran, surprised. “Why is Yuemeng here?”
Xin Nuo jogged over and heard Jian Yueyin’s voice. “Shu Yuemeng? From Fish Harmony?”
Jian Yueyin nodded.
“Why is she so fast?” Jiang Qiong, exhausted, collapsed on the ground. Just then, Song Fenghua and Laurel, each holding one of Shu Yuemeng’s hands, walked over.
“You’re amazing, little sister.” Xu Heran gave a thumbs-up.
Xin Nuo raised her hand and patted Xu Heran’s waist. “She’s three years older than you.”
Shu Yuemeng was one of the trainees from Fish Harmony along with Sun Lingxi and Mu Yueliang. She had a sweet and charming appearance, and was usually shy and reserved. No one would have thought that someone of her 1.6-meter height could run so well.
“How did you end up here?” everyone asked blushing Shu Yuemeng.
Song Fenghua and Laurel let go of her hands, and Shu Yuemeng touched her face, whispering softly, “I’m Shu Yuemeng, a trainee from Universal Entertainment. Nice to meet you all.”
“Wow!”
Everyone clapped their hands in unison, pleasantly surprised. “Yuemeng, you signed with Universal! We’re all family now!”
Shu Yuemeng’s face turned even redder. She raised her eyelashes in embarrassment and smiled at everyone.
At this moment, Laurel sneakily took out a sticker from her pocket and placed it on Shu Yuemeng’s clothes.
Seeing her actions, Song Fenghua asked, “?”
“What is it?”
Song Fenghua patted Shu Yuemeng’s shoulder, signaling her to turn around. Shu Yuemeng looked back and, along with everyone else, checked the flower-shaped sticker on her back. It was firmly stuck to her.
Shu Yuemeng: “Ah, you got me!”
The girl raised her hands and collapsed to the ground.
“…”
“Hahaha, so sudden?”
“Why did you have to get killed, Yuemeng? You haven’t even talked to us yet, Yuemeng!” Everyone gathered around Shu Yuemeng, poking her playfully.
Shu Yuemeng bit her lip to hold back a laugh, reached into her pocket, and took out a bag of stars, narrowed her eyes, found Laurel’s position, and handed it to her.
Laurel: “Thank you.”
“Ah, I get it!” Haya exclaimed. “So, this is how you eliminated Weining, right? With stickers!”
Laurel coolly held the bag, displaying her wealth to everyone.
Xu Heran and Xin Nuo exchanged glances. The people who were still in place understood now—you need stickers to eliminate others! But you also need to have a weapon!
“I only have ten stars,” Song Fenghua said, taking a bag out of her pocket. “I found them when I was looking for hints.”
“A sticker costs twenty stars.”
Laurel immediately counted the stars. “Here are sixty. After entering the garden, I found the flower wreath and ten stars.”
“Wait.” Jian Yueyin had sharp eyes. She walked up to Song Fenghua, grabbed her wrist, and showed everyone the note attached to the bag in her hand. “What does this mean?”
On the bag containing ten stars, there was a sticker of a fire-breathing dragon with a red line crossed over it.
Everyone shook their heads in confusion.
Jian Yueyin’s gaze swept across the crowd and finally landed on Laurel. “Laurel, you only have one mission hint. How do you know how to eliminate Weining?”
They could only eliminate the corresponding person. If A could eliminate B, when A was eliminated, the person who eliminated A would automatically target B.
“Laurel, you don’t have any other missions, right?” Jian Yueyin asked.
Laurel immediately waved her hand. “I haven’t even figured out the missions yet. It’s really unexpected. I went to the exchange point and traded for two lollipops and two stickers. It happened to use up sixty stars. Then I encountered Weining. We were discussing how to use this sticker together… I tentatively stuck it on Weining’s hand, and she disappeared!”
“???”
“Really! I swear!” Laurel immediately said, “It’s just so inexplicable!”
“Isn’t this too coincidental…” Xu Heran whispered to Xin Nuo, “She found her weapon as soon as she entered the garden, exchanged for stickers, and coincidentally eliminated Weining?”
Xin Nuo nodded and glanced at the sticker on Song Fenghua’s bag.
“In the mission hint, there’s a line, ‘Beware of the people around you,'” Xin Nuo said cryptically.
Jiang Qiong immediately turned her head and pointed to Xin Nuo’s waist. “Hands!”
Xu Heran immediately let go and raised her hand.
“I’m a little pearl.”
Everyone’s suspicions shifted towards Laurel. She shook her head, intending to exchange her coins for stickers.
Before parting ways, everyone chimed in, “We must find our weapons quickly!”
Xin Nuo and Xu Heran followed Laurel.
“Is what you said true?” Xu Heran asked her.
Laurel was firm in her response. “Absolutely true. And I’m thinking, should we bring Weining back.”
Xu Heran: “?”
“How can she come back?” Xu Heran asked curiously.
Laurel took out her weapon card from her pocket.
“You’re a support role, your power can revive one person.”
“Wow!” Xu Heran exclaimed excitedly. “Your skill is amazing! Try it out quickly!”
“I want to try it too,” Laurel said, looking at Xin Nuo. “If I bring Weining back, do you two believe me and approve?”
Xin Nuo nodded.
Two minutes later, Lin Weining came running back.
“Waaah, curiosity almost killed Lin Weining.” Lin Weining grabbed Laurel’s hand. “Are you okay?”
Laurel pointed at Weining. “See.”
Xu Heran and Xin Nuo immediately believed Laurel’s words, but…
“Now that Weining’s back, the person you needed to eliminate has become Weining again, right?” Xin Nuo said.
Laurel: “…”
Lin Weining: “…Ah.”
“Weining, she has a lot of small coins! Be careful!” Xu Heran said with a smile.
Lin Weining covered her head, shaking it sadly. “I’m so pitiful, wuwu. What about my box?”
“You were eliminated, so the box belongs to me, but I couldn’t open it, so I hid it away,” Laurel explained.
“Where did you hide it?”
Five minutes later, the four of them were crouched in a corner of the park, watching Laurel dig the box out from a pile of fallen leaves.
“I can’t open it,” Laurel said.
“Only designated individuals can open it,” Lin Weining said. “Me, Haya, and Jiang Qiong can’t open it.”
Xin Nuo raised an eyebrow, looked at the long box, and placed her hand on it.
The accompanying director whispered, “Xin Nuo can open this box.”
Sure enough.
Inside the box lay a sword and a card.
“You’re the Wild King, you can directly eliminate one person.”
“Wow!”
Xu Heran clapped excitedly, she thought of something and then hugged Xin Nuo’s arm, speaking softly and tenderly, “Don’t eliminate me, I’m still useful!”
Lin Weining immediately chimed in, “I haven’t found a weapon yet, and I just came back. Don’t hurt poor me…”
The two’s gazes slowly drifted to Laurel.
Laurel: “…wait a moment.”
“The weapon was given to you by me!”
“Cough, some people are wealthier,” Xu Heran leaned on Xin Nuo’s shoulder and said.
Lin Weining approached, hiding behind Xin Nuo, “You hurt Weining’s heart too.”
“The game has been going on for so long, isn’t it time to draw blood!” Xu Heran incited the situation.
“But this is a personal battle,” Lin Weining whispered.
“Hey!” Laurel quickly resisted, trying to sell herself to Xin Nuo. “I can split half of my star coins with you, and my weapon skill has been used, it won’t threaten you!”
Xin Nuo said with a smiling face, “Yeah, your skill is useless now.”
“…”
The broadcast sounded.
“Laurel eliminated!”
“Huh?”
People all over the park looked up and burst into laughter.
“Laurel shot herself in the foot!”
“The one who wields the knife, is always the one harmed by it.”
“Then your target isn’t Laurel anymore, and Weining has also been eliminated,” Jian Yueyin and Song Fenghua walked together, discussing.
“I still don’t have a weapon,” Song Fenghua shook her head. She also didn’t know who was next.
Jian Yueyin gauged her expression and asked, “Have you heard of… Evil Dragon?”
“Jing Rui! Stop right there!”
Jiang Qiong gritted her teeth and charged forward, with Xu Heran popping out from the side, “Do you have a weapon?”
Jiang Qiong raised her hand to show her the crystal bracelet she found.
“Stick it on her!” Xu Heran said excitedly.
“…I don’t have a sticker, wuwuwu,” Jiang Qiong clung to Xu Heran’s arm and pretended to cry, “I even ran into You Yu and Luo Xi! The two of them knew I didn’t have a sticker and danced around me while holding hands! It drove me crazy!”
Xu Heran said in surprise, “They both came too?”
Jiang Qiong nodded.
Xu Heran clapped her hands immediately.
“Who are you?” Jiang Qiong asked her, “Who are you targeting with your knife?”
Xu Pearl grinned mischievously, “Well, definitely not you.”
“Did you see Sister Yueyin?”
Jiang Qiong’s face immediately showed the expression of “Oh my god, you’re so bold to target the captain,” and she reached out to pat Xu Heran’s arm, urging, “Go quickly, she and Xiao Fenghua went to that booth, go target her!”
Xu Heran extended her right hand, gave Jiang Qiong a brief hug, and patted her shoulder, “Leave it to me!”
“Hehehe.” Jiang Qiong excitedly rubbed her hands together.
Jian Yueyin and Song Fenghua walked up to the exchange point, seeing the sign “Closed” displayed there as well.
“What’s going on?” Jian Yueyin said with confusion, “No one should be coming to buy hints.”
She and Song Fenghua exchanged glances. At this moment, Song Fenghua noticed a closed sign in the shop, and under the sign was an envelope with only a small corner peeking out. Song Fenghua walked over, opened the envelope, and pulled out the card inside.
Mission Prompt: The Evil Dragon purchases treasures here to adorn its blade. The residents of the valley are tormented by fear. Leave before the arrival of darkness and blood.
“So, it’s because the Evil Dragon bought something here that the exchange point closed?” Jian Yueyin said in astonishment, “We have to act quickly. If the other two booths close too, we’re done for!”
Song Fenghua quickly nodded. Just as they were about to prepare to leave, they suddenly heard Xu Heran’s voice.
“Xiao Fenghua! Keep your distance from her!” Xu Heran held up a red gem and said, “She’s Blue Tyrant Hu, she can knife you with her Blue Tyrant Hu!”
“She’s been following you to knife you!” Xu Heran shouted loudly.
Song Fenghua: “…”
“I don’t have one!” Jian Yueyin immediately defended herself, “Our goal is to catch the Evil Dragon.”
“Ah, what Evil Dragon?” Xu Heran said in confusion, “Why is another dragon showing up?”
“Didn’t you find any other hints?” Jian Yueyin asked Xu Heran.
“I found something about you,” Xu Heran said as she approached Song Fenghua. “It mentions that the sapphire makes the shield fragile and invulnerable. We’ve got our basics down. I’m Red Tyrant Hu, Nuo Nuo is the jungler, Jiang Qiong is Crystal, Haya is a marksman, Weining is a mage, and Laurel is the support. That leaves you and Xiao Fenghua as the Sapphire Command and guardian.”
She paused for effect in front of Song Fenghua, then added, “So, watch out – she can take you down!”
“Didn’t you notice she’s been following you all along?” Xu Heran whispered, “There’s a Sapphire Command eyeing your life.”
“Hey!” Jian Yueyin said helplessly, “I don’t have any intention to target Fenghua. Don’t sow discord.”
“Then how would I know if you want to target Xiao Fenghua or not?” Xu Heran said, pulling Song Fenghua away from Jian Yueyin, “I’m Red Tyrant Hu, I can knife Sister Yueyin!”
Song Fenghua glanced at Xu Heran’s excited expression and then at Jian Yueyin.
“What’s the deal with the Evil Dragon?”
“I have no idea. Is there anyone else besides us?” Xu Heran asked, taking out the ruby sticker and squinting playfully, “Hehehe…”
Jian Yueyin: “…”
“Among the eight of us, someone has an antagonist card, Ranran, you seem so eager to kill me, is it you?” Jian Yueyin said suspiciously, “Are you the Evil Dragon?”
“I’m a dragon!” Xu Heran immediately stated.
Jian Yueyin and Song Fenghua looked at her in astonishment.
“Then Nuo Nuo is my princess, hehe!” Xu Heran’s smile was radiant.
Meanwhile, Jian Yueyin was about to speak when suddenly the announcement sounded over the broadcast.
“Jiang Qiong eliminated.”
“Haya eliminated.”
The three present: “!”
“The Evil Dragon has taken action!” Jian Yueyin said, “It’s Xin Nuo!”
“What?” Xu Heran pouted, “No way…”
“We need to hurry and find weapons to eliminate Xin Nuo!”
“But this is a solo battle, and I want to eliminate you!” Xu Heran said with a smug smile. She turned to look at Song Fenghua, “I’ll help you get rid of her!”
Song Fenghua hesitated a bit.
Jian Yueyin immediately interjected, “Don’t listen to her. If I’m eliminated, she can eliminate you!”
“I only have one sticker now,” Xu Heran told Song Fenghua, “After I knife Sister Yueyin, I won’t be able to go after you. So, you go search for weapons and stickers, challenge Nuo Nuo, I’ll eliminate Sister Yueyin, and you eliminate Xin Nuo. In the end, we’ll have a showdown in the Global Park. How about that?”
Song Fenghua thought for a moment and nodded.
Jian Yueyin exclaimed, “I misjudged you, Xiao Fenghua!”
“I’m sorry, Sister Yueyin,” Song Fenghua said seriously, “This is a solo battle.”
Xu Heran grinned, patted Song Fenghua’s back, and as she watched her leave, she raised the sticker.
“Let the battle begin!”
Jian Yueyin, weaponless, turned and ran, and Xu Heran immediately chased after her. Holding the sticker, she tried to stick it on Jian Yueyin. In the struggle, the gem in Xu Heran’s hand slipped and rolled to the ground.
After the gem hit the ground, Xu Heran’s ruby sticker finally stuck to Jian Yueyin.
Jian Yueyin quickly said, “Weapon drop, sticking it on doesn’t count!”
She immediately peeled off the sticker and crumpled it up.
“Fine,” Xu Heran said, hands on her hips, waving dismissively.
Once Jian Yueyin was gone, Xu Heran watched the captain’s figure, brushed her bangs to the side, and smiled at the camera, “Well, it’s over anyway.”
“Xu Heran!” Xin Nuo shouted.
She divided Laurel’s sixty stars among herself, Lin Weining, and Xu Heran. The three split up to search for hints. Xin Nuo exchanged for a sticker at the open exchange point, now armed and able to knife Pearl.
“Where did she run off to?” Xin Nuo bent down to tie her shoelaces, “Is she afraid that I won’t come after her because I’m weak?”
She chuckled softly and, when she looked up, she spotted a letter in the rose bushes behind the wooden chairs.
“Huh?” Xin Nuo hurriedly walked over and pulled out the envelope.
“Nuo Nuo!”
On the roadside, the voice of Song Fenghua came, “You’re here, you know about the Evil Dragon—”
“Song Fenghua eliminated.”
Xin Nuo crouched on the ground, looking up, locking eyes with the stunned Song Fenghua.
The staff immediately rushed up and placed a mask on Song Fenghua.
“What’s going on?” Xin Nuo said in surprise. She stood up, looking at Song Fenghua who was waving at her, feeling unusually at a loss.
“Huh?”
Before Song Fenghua’s figure disappeared, the second broadcast sounded.
“Jian Yueyin eliminated.”
“Huh?”
In the frame, the girl’s hair was dyed ink-black by the night. She softly opened her mouth, her eyes blank, confused as she opened the envelope.
“Mission prompt: The Evil Dragon is hidden among you.”
“…”
Xin Nuo took a deep breath, crumpled the envelope into a ball, and clenched her teeth, “Xu Heran!”
“Hmm, looking for me?”
A crisp voice replied.
On the dark path, a slender figure slowly emerged. She patted the debris from plants off her coat, lifted her head, and her blue-purple eyes sparkled.
“Miss me? Sister.”
Xin Nuo pinched the sticker in her hand and glared at her.
“You’re the Evil Dragon!”
Miss Evil Dragon blinked her eyes, hands behind her back, and walked down the steps leisurely. “Who said I wasn’t?”
“So you’ve been deceiving us from the beginning?”
Evil Dragon stood in front of Xin Nuo and chuckled lightly.
“Who said I wasn’t?”
“No wonder you haven’t utilized your weapon skills!” Xin Nuo raised her head slightly, and after some contemplation, she realized something was amiss. “We’ve already deduced that Sapphire Command is Yueyin, and you’ve refrained from attacking her because you’re a dragon. No need for weapon skills!”
“Hmm, who said I wasn’t.”
Miss Evil Dragon raised an eyebrow in slight difficulty, “Who made me a poor dragon, only able to go around robbing to get by.”
“Thanks for the twenty stars, sister.” Xu Heran suddenly reached out her hand, her fingertip sticking a sticker.
It was a sticker of the Evil Dragon breathing fire.
“Want to be my captive?”
Xin Nuo’s voice turned cold, her pitch-black eyes sharp and focused on her.
“Don’t even think about it.”
The two girls locked eyes, moving slowly.
With a playful smile in her blue-purple eyes, Evil Dragon met the intense gaze of the pitch-black eyes. In the air, there was an almost imperceptible flash of lightning, crackling like thunder. In the blink of an eye, Xu Heran made her move.
Xin Nuo raised her hand to block. Both of them held stickers in their hands, attempting to stick them onto each other.
Xu Heran clasped Xin Nuo’s wrist with one hand and pressed down on Xin Nuo’s arm with the other, a mischievous grin on her face. “Sister, do you like golden cages? I’ll pick fresh roses for you every day. Are you willing to live in the cage I’ve prepared for you?”
Xin Nuo was pressed down so she couldn’t raise her hand. Her wrists were trapped at her waist. She watched as Xu Heran used her free hand to peel off the sticker from her own fingertip, then stuck the Evil Dragon sticker onto her own cheek.
“Looks really nice,” Miss Evil Dragon said, satisfied.
“I’ve been eliminated?” Xin Nuo asked her. “Let go of me.”
Xu Heran replied, “I won’t.”
She held both of Xin Nuo’s wrists, then moved behind her. She wrapped her arms around Xin Nuo’s waist and arms, slowly stepping back. When the back of Xin Nuo’s legs touched the chair, Xu Heran sat down, and Xin Nuo could only sit on her lap.
Xin Nuo intentionally leaned back against her, letting her hair brush against Xu Heran’s face.
Xu Heran chuckled lightly. She slid her fingers through the gaps between Xin Nuo’s, interlocking their fingers. With both their hands intertwined, Xin Nuo gave in completely. The two of them sat intertwined on the roadside chair, gazing up at the stars.
Three minutes later, the broadcast sounded, and Xin Nuo was eliminated.
“You can release me,” Xin Nuo snorted coldly. She couldn’t blame her for letting go; after all, there was a time limit.
“I don’t want to let go. Isn’t this comfortable?” Xu Heran placed her chin on Xin Nuo’s neck, turning her head to the side. Her lips grazed the sticker on Xin Nuo’s cheek as she spoke softly, “Are you really not considering it, Nuo Nuo sister?”
“If the golden cage isn’t to your liking, how about adorning it with precious gemstones?”
“You’re my prey, I’ll treasure you.”
