Grab The Heroine and Run Away Ch. 87

7:00 PM, Jingyi Hall.

Except for Xin Nuo, the seven girls from SGS who were tightly wrapped in packages followed a slightly panicked-looking server into the private room. The moment they entered, all seven girls simultaneously took off their sunglasses and removed their masks.

After spending the night at the hotel, Xin Nuo, who was only brought to the hotel by her assistant when it was time, was now leaning back in her seat, leisurely drinking water.

“You’re drawing even more attention this way.”

Jiang Qiong wiped her face, “Have I become so stunning that there’s no difference before and after makeup?”

“We said not to wear sunglasses all the time.” Laurel pulled out a chair, talking while sitting down, and picking up the chopsticks.

Xin Nuo had already ordered the food and had the waiter serve it before their arrival, and it was steaming hot.

“Picked the same style for all of you. I’ll just report your sizes directly.” Xu Heran sat next to Xin Nuo, whispering.

“Mhm.” Xin Nuo extended her index finger and tapped her water glass towards Xu Heran in a friendly manner.

Others greeted Xin Nuo, who was supposed to be “bedridden,” one by one.

“Are you okay?” Lin Weining, innocent as ever, spoke with a worried expression. “I feel like you’ve been sick a lot recently. It hasn’t been that long, and you’ve been sick twice already.”

Direct as Laurel, “What did you eat?”

Xin Nuo’s expression remained unchanged. “Maybe I’ve been a bit tired lately. I woke up in a rush today, felt nauseous, had a headache. A good sleep made it better.”

“Haya brought a lot of tonics, I’ll give you three meals of tonics when we’re back. But I see your complexion is okay, rosy and fair,” Laurel said. “Your Highness, thank you.”

Xin Nuo’s voice remained calm. She lifted her bowl and placed it by Xu Heran’s side. The instigator, the culprit, Xu Heran, immediately offered a peeled prawn to the respectful beauty Nuo Nuo.

Around the table, three people knew that Xu Heran and Xin Nuo were together. However, only a certain dog, despite its keenness, and Jian Yueyin, who was knowledgeable and gentle, knew the extent of their relationship. No one expected that a certain little pearl, just eighteen, would have taken her sister to bed.

The dog cleared its throat and glanced at Xu Heran, determined to seek revenge.

She smiled slightly, deliberately adopting a gentle tone. “Nuo Nuo, you said you felt nauseous and wanted to vomit. It sounds just like the symptoms my next-door neighbor had when she was pregnant. She felt nauseous back then too.”

“Snort.”

Around the dining table, several girls choked and coughed, struggling to contain their laughter as they looked at Jiang Qiong’s expression.

“What are you saying!”

Everyone criticized Jiang Qiong, their expressions clearly conveying, “How dare you make fun of the beautiful Nuo Nuo? Do you want to die?”

Jiang Qiong chuckled, continuing under Xu Heran’s warning gaze, “Let me tell you, when that neighbor woman had nausea, she couldn’t sleep well. Poor sleep led to a bad mood, and a bad mood led to her smacking her husband. Rolling pin, feather duster, whatever she wanted, he’d give it to her. He wouldn’t dare argue back even if he was beaten. He obediently listened, served her meekly, and complied with her wishes.”

The gazes of the girls at the table involuntarily fell on Xin Nuo’s belly. The girl under observation smirked coldly, causing the gazes around her to instantly retract.

Xu Heran quickly raised her hand and said, “Waiter, bring an ’82 Lafite here!”

“What! Why are you doing this? Just kidding, let’s eat well and replenish ourselves.”

Jian Yueyin’s peripheral vision moved away from Xu Heran and Xin Nuo, her eyebrows raising slightly, her gaze surprised, as if a sudden realization had struck her.

“So that’s the case, you want to replenish yourselves properly.”

A chill ran down Xin Nuo’s back. She placed her glass down and looked over at Jian Yueyin.

Jian Yueyin raised her hand in surrender, smiling. “I give up.”

“Why so strange?” Haya touched her chin. “Something doesn’t feel right. What have you guys been up to behind our backs?”

“If you can do things behind us, can’t we do things behind you?” Xu Heran asked Haya with a smile. “Are you happy to be trending?”

Haya’s gaze shifted towards Lin Weining, who was eating with her head lowered. “Seems like it’s not going well. You used to run up the trending list every other day.”

Beside her, Lin Weining poked at her plate with her chopsticks and whispered, “Anyway, I’m not in a relationship right now.”

“Hmm.” Haya responded.

She picked up her phone, glanced at it, and sent a message.

The phone in Lin Weining’s bag buzzed. She checked it during a lull, seeing it was a message from Haya.

“I’ll wait for you.”

On the afternoon of October 24th, the SGS bridesmaids headed to the “Cloudy Wonderland” in Q Province for the final preparations for the wedding.

Ji Songyu and Zhao RouRou’s wedding venue was in a beautiful green meadow villa. The wedding team had arranged everything before the wedding began. The house, wrapped in flowers, balloons, and decorations, looked like a dreamy cottage from a fairy tale.

“That’s great. I had a classmate’s wedding to be a bridesmaid for, and we forgot to buy an air pump for the balloons. A few of us bridesmaids blew them up with our mouths, and we were about to explode!” Jiang Qiong said with a cheerful smile.

The others looked at Jiang Qiong with subtle expressions on their faces.

“Jing’er, it feels like nothing is strange when it happens to you,” Jian Yueyin said sincerely. “Even though it’s a happy memory, when you say it, I feel a bit pitiful.”

“I know it’s a happy memory, but when it comes out of your mouth, I feel like I’ve been through something tough,” Jiang Qiong frowned. “My bridesmaid red envelopes are going to be smaller!”

Ji Songyu came out, smiling brightly. “I’ll give you a big one!”

Jiang Qiong raised her eyebrows and smiled. “Piu-fermented Tea Tea, am I being a bridesmaid for your red envelope? It’s not like I’m doing this just to grab your generous red packet. It’s because I want to witness the kind-hearted you step into the realm of marriage!”

“Yeah, so you can send her red envelopes directly to the group, set the quantity to eight, and we’ll snatch them,” Xu Heran suggested.

Immediately, a battle broke out within the “Woof Woof Team.”

Ji Songyu laughed, and her face was filled with happiness.

October 25th, the weather was clear, perfect for weddings.

The brides woke up early, dressed in phoenix crowns and robes, walking out into the flower-strewn corridor in the gentle morning breeze.

Ji Songyu, who had won numerous honors both domestically and internationally, had grown up into an elegant beauty. Her smile still carried a hint of innocence and liveliness. She seemed like a child who had been pampered since childhood, retaining the most vibrant bloom even at thirty years old.

Her golden-red wedding gown might have been heavy, but she appeared effortless, smiling as she tilted her head to meet the gaze of another person’s eyes.

Zhao RouRou gazed tenderly at her, holding her hand. The graceful smile met a smiling face, and their eyes held a tender affection.

Xu Heran watched them as they held hands and boarded the flower-decorated car. Her gaze subconsciously shifted towards Xin Nuo.

Meanwhile, the girl standing on the other side turned back as well, and their eyes locked across the flower bridge.

“Envious, huh?” Haya bumped Xu Heran’s shoulder, pulling their gaze away from someone’s “inseparable” and “reluctant to part” look.

Xu Heran immediately asked her, “Aren’t you envious?”

Haya sighed, “Envious as hell.”

Indeed, envious as hell!

You can’t sigh on such a good day.

Xu Heran took a deep breath, stood tall, and raised her hand towards the person on the other side.

Xin Nuo smiled and held her hand, proceeding forward as rehearsed.

“The plan didn’t say we had to hold hands, you know,” Xin Nuo whispered.

Xu Heran smiled.

“It doesn’t matter, I want to.”

The long procession of cars wound along the coastal road, moving forward, leaving the sea and forest behind, and arriving at the wedding venue.

On the flower-filled grassland, clouds hung close overhead, while the ocean and trees below created a picturesque scene. Nearby, a lake reflected the blue sky and white clouds. The group looked like tourists, exclaiming in awe from time to time.

The eight bridesmaids were divided into two groups, changing clothes in the hotel rooms where the ceremony would take place.

“By the way, how did we get divided? Why didn’t Songyu put you and Nuo Nuo together?” Haya asked Xu Heran.

“Apparently, she thought we had more momentum!” Xu Heran said.

Momentum?

Haya, Laurel, and Song Fenghua tilted their heads.

“Because we’re reluctant to use our faces, so we have momentum?” Song Fenghua asked.

Laurel turned to look at Song Fenghua and gave her a thumbs up.

Fenghua has grown up; she can make fun of herself now.

“Then I shouldn’t be in the same group as you guys,” Xu Heran said. “Is my smile not bright enough?”

Haya immediately exclaimed, “Is my smile exceptionally charming?”

Laurel patted her shoulder. “Try not smiling.”

Haya’s lips drooped, and her cold, alluring expression seemed nearly impossible to approach.

“Contrastingly cute,” Song Fenghua said with a smile.

Xu Heran immediately chimed in, “Kick Fenghua out of the team. Little Fenghua is getting softer and softer!”

Song Fenghua quickly put on a serious face, crossing both arms forcefully by her sides.

The other three burst into laughter at the sight of her actions.

“What’s going on, watching Tom and Jerry?” Xu Heran laughed and asked her.

Song Fenghua, feeling embarrassed, lowered her arms and blushed slowly.

“Just when I have nothing to do.” She whispered.

Haya immediately tapped Song Fenghua, “Contrastingly cute.”

At noon, the guests arrived, and the wedding venue instantly turned into a red carpet event. Actors, singers, directors big and small, photographers, and even two heavyweight guests, all with good relationships with Ji Songyu, showed up.

Lu Manxin held her arms, looking at the two vertical photos on the flower carpet, and chuckled, “Not bad.”

The two welcoming photos displayed a pair of brides in wedding dresses, holding hands and smiling at the guests. The other was a cartoon illustration, a beautifully dressed girl with a crown on her head, being lifted by a woman next to her who seemed like a magician.

From their brows, Lu Manxin could tell it was Ji Songyu and Zhao Rourou.

“I don’t think we look as good as them,” Lu Manxin laughed.

Tang Niannian spoke in a gentle tone, “Xiao Wan is glaring at you.”

Lu Manxin chuckled, “Can’t I indulge in some vanity?”

Tang Niannian held her arm and leaned close to her ear.

“Sure, in my heart, you’re the most beautiful.”

Lu Manxin chuckled softly and leaned in to kiss the side of Tang Niannian’s face.

Yu Wan immediately turned her head, rolling her eyes.

In broad daylight, this old married couple has such thick skin to flirt!

Once the guests were assembled, the ceremony began. Hosting the event was a well-known TV host from the capital, also a longtime friend of Ji Songyu. With the announcement of “Let’s welcome the two brides,” the brides entered.

Xin Nuo and Jian Yueyin, dressed in white bridesmaid gowns, Song Fenghua and Lin Weining were at the front, scattering flower petals. Xu Heran, Haya, and Laurel were at the back, holding their dresses.

The pristine wedding gown was even more delicate than the clouds in the sky. Holding hands, the lovers occasionally exchanged glances, and as they smiled, their eyes inexplicably turned red with tears.

While reading their vows, the voices of these two people who had known each other for many years and loved each other for many years seemed to carry deep affection.

“The first time I saw you, there was only one thought in my mind,” Zhao Rourou chuckled, “Where did this kid come from? A bit silly.”

Amid the laughter of the guests below the stage, Ji Songyu bit her lip and gazed tenderly at Zhao Rourou.

Zhao Rourou lifted her gaze, and their eyes met.

“Kid, adorable in your silliness, and so beautiful, I like it.”

Ji Songyu’s eyes instantly reddened, tears falling freely.

Xu Heran stood in the audience, with Xin Nuo opposite her. She watched as Ji Songyu and Zhao Rourou exchanged rings, her emotions inexplicably surging. Suddenly, she thought of the silver necklace she had accidentally seen in Xin Nuo’s pocket, with a silver ring attached to it.

At that time, Xin Nuo casually mentioned that it was a piece of jewelry sent by a brand for endorsement. Because of its meaningful significance, she specifically brought it to attend Ji Sister’s wedding.

A smile formed at the corner of Xu Heran’s mouth.

She really wanted to wear a similar ring with Nuo Nuo.

The wedding proceeded as usual, until Ji Songyu’s personally chosen bridesmaids took the stage for a performance.

Jian Yueyin sat at the piano, while Xu Heran stood on the stage.

“The name of this song is ‘Her and Her,’ it’s about two women. I wish Sister Tea and Sister Rourou to find their own happiness. May you always be happy.”

The piano melody began, and Xu Heran lowered her gaze. Her gentle voice, amplified by the microphone, soared into the sky and mingled with the clouds.

“Her and her, gazing at flowers on the roadside. Her and her, counting the summers of time. Her and her, exchanging countless words.”

Before SGS went solo, they spent most of their time together, so it was rare to see Xu Heran so quiet, standing there singing. They gazed at her smiling face. In the span of almost three years, Xu Heran had really grown up a lot.

Xin Nuo’s gaze was incredibly tender.

“She said she loves her, like loving a flower in the soil, like the wind’s lingering in summer, like words hidden in the heart,” Xu Heran’s voice was gentle, her gaze involuntarily falling on the girl in the crowd, the one who had been watching her all along.

“She would give her a bouquet of flowers, she would accompany her through a summer, she would write her many love notes.”

Blue-purple eyes met black eyes, and as the hand-written lyrics appeared on the screen, many people sang along.

But the girl in Xu Heran’s gaze quietly watched her, as if this song was sung for herself.

“She would wait for her, she would love her, she would be there for her, so…”

“Would she be willing to hand her hand over, holding this bouquet of love, in this final summer, listening to her words of love for you?”

“In our shared home, we’ll plant many flowers, spend every summer from now on, and speak words of affection to her every night.”

“So, let’s be together.”

Sitting beside Xin Nuo, Yu Wan turned her head hesitantly, “Wuwuwu, they are so lucky, NuoNuo, did you see the comic at the entrance? I drew it. When you get married, should I draw one for you too?”

She glanced again at the girl on the stage, “And draw one for Zhuzhu too.”

Upon hearing Yu Wan’s voice, Xin Nuo’s gaze was reluctant to move away from the girl on the stage, who was singing passionately. Her smile was gentle, her voice clear.

“There will be a chance.”

The author has something to say:

“Her and Her”

Her and her

Gazing at flowers on the roadside

Her and her

Counting the summers of time

Her and her

Exchanging countless words

She says

She loves her

Like loving a flower in the soil

Like the wind’s lingering in summer

Like words hidden in the heart

She would give her a bouquet of flowers

She would accompany her through a summer

She would write her many love notes

She would wait for her

She would love her

She would be there for her

So…

Would she be willing

To hand her hand over

Holding this bouquet of love

In this final summer

Listening to her words of love for you

In our shared home, we’ll plant many flowers

Spend every summer from now on

And speak words of affection to her every night

So, let’s be together
