Chapter 139: (Extra)
These words lingered in her sea of consciousness for a moment before slowly fading away.
“Pianxian? Why so absent-minded?”
Coming back to herself, Song Pianxian recalled Lu Yi’s question and considered the task she had just received. With a slight hesitation, she replied, “It’s nothing. I was merely thinking that, although it might have been fine earlier, now with something happening at Lingyun Sect, we should certainly go check on them.”
Unbeknownst to her, Yu Yi had been waiting patiently for her response. Upon hearing Song Pianxian’s reply, a shadow flickered across Yu Yi’s eyes.
Yes, given the choice between unknown demon cultivators and Lingyun Sect, it made sense for Song Pianxian to be concerned about Lingyun Sect.
Even Song Pianxian herself ought to be more concerned about Lingyun Sect—unless she too had succumbed to demonic influence.
Does Song Pianxian…abhor demon cultivators?
Yu Yi scrutinized Song Pianxian’s expression intently but found no answer.
After finishing their meal, before anyone could go searching for her, Manzhi casually returned on her own.
In the artificing workshop, Manzhi licked her paw and glanced sidelong at Yu Yi with fox-like eyes. “What are you staring at?”
“Are the demon cultivators in Tianfeng City connected to you?”
Manzhi washed her face with her paw, snorting with amusement. “Why? Do you suspect I orchestrated it all?”
“Naturally not,” Yu Yi denied.
“But they targeted Qu Xirong; surely your hand played some part in that?”
Manzhi paused, studying Yu Yi closely. “How astute of you.”
Yu Yi offered a gentle, sweet smile. “I must thank you for giving me this opportunity to vent my frustration.”
“Spare me. Save those charms for your puppet.” Manzhi rolled her eyes, unimpressed by the sentiment.
Yu Yi reined in her smile, looking back at Manzhi. “Where else did you go?”
“Nowhere else.”
The incident with the demon cultivators had concluded long ago, yet Manzhi hadn’t returned until several hours later.
A suspicion stirred within Yu Yi, and she subtly sniffed the air. “Why do you smell so strongly of incense ash?”
Manzhi flicked her bushy tail and turned to sniff it. “How could—” She abruptly stopped mid-sentence, her fox’s tail stiffening.
“What an annoying little brat,” Manzhi muttered, clearly feeling deceived.
Yu Yi clicked her tongue softly.
Whenever Chu Feng was present, Manzhi deliberately hid away. But when discontent, she would ostentatiously step on her before swiftly disappearing. Yet as soon as Chu Feng left, she’d sneakily peek back at her.
Yu Yi simply couldn’t fathom Manzhi’s intentions. If it were herself with Song Pianxian, she would insist on keeping her partner constantly within sight—not only watching them but ensuring they watched her alone.
Licking her slightly dry lips, Yu Yi observed the little black cat rolling gleefully over the Profound Star Iron, its tail swishing enthusiastically. Her attention drawn, she suddenly recalled that during their intimate night together last time, this pesky creature had been present too.
Her gaze instantly chilled.
The kitten, happily gnawing on a piece of iron, ceased its wriggling legs and looked up at Yu Yi, eyes wide and head tilted quizzically.
“Meow?”
Late into the night, as the small cat followed closely at its owner’s heels, wobbling towards the bedroom, it found itself unexpectedly lifted and shut in the adjacent room just before reaching its destination.
“Behave yourself.”
“Mew?”
“Meow?!”
“And no eavesdropping,” Yu Yi sternly warned it with a frown.
“?
The bewildered kitten’s tiny face brimmed with question marks. As a contracted beast, its every action was governed by its master. It could only watch helplessly as the tall door closed mercilessly before it.
Voices drifted from the neighboring room; its owner had gone to play with someone else. The little cat stood dumbstruck for a moment, realizing that tonight, it would have to sleep alone.
In the adjacent chamber, Song Pianxian sat on the bed, her memory block lifted once more due to the fragrance sachet’s effect. She welcomed Yu Yi, who approached slowly.
Leaning against the headboard with graceful poise, exuding an aura of sensuality, Song Pianxian reached out to take Yu Yi’s hand. “At night, do you feel less shy?”
Before Yu Yi could respond or even extend her arm fully, she saw Song Pianxian’s silk undergarment slide off her shoulders and arms like a gentle breeze sweeping away lingering snow from a branch. It rustled softly, pooling around her bewitching waist, revealing a ravishing beauty fairer than frost or snow.
Yu Yi’s eyes widened involuntarily. Suddenly, a force pulled at her hand, sending everything spinning as the luxurious bedding trembled beneath them.
Song Pianxian formed a mystical gesture, causing a chill to envelop Yu Yi. Her back pressed firmly against the quilt, icy cold eliciting a soft hiss from her lips. Instinctively arching, she thrust forward her delicate curves, reminiscent of tender peaches swaying atop their branches.
In the other room, the little cat leaped onto the bed. The mattress was soft and pliant, while the silk quilt carried a slight chill that made its paw pads instinctively lift before irresistibly pressing back down.
The kitten nestled its face against the quilt, placing both front paws on top as its tiny claws gently scratched and hooked. Soon, it pressed its warm, supple belly against the fabric, softly rubbing against it. Its tail swayed leisurely, and it mewed sweetly with delight.
“Big Sis… Big Sis…”
“What a charming voice,” Song Pianxian murmured appreciatively. Glancing at her shoulder, she noticed several red scratches already forming despite their brief encounter. With a smile, she added, “Though… those claws are quite sharp.”
Yu Yi may have been small but had a big temper. Upon hearing this, her eyes, filled with desire, flashed defiantly. She wrapped her slender arms around Song Pianxian’s neck, then rose to bite gently at the side of Pianxian’s neck.
“Aww,” the kitten mimicked, sinking its newly emerging, millet-like teeth into the soft quilt. The bite was gentle, saliva smearing a damp patch, slightly sticky.
After spitting out the quilt, a trace of saliva still clung to its lips, shimmering with a crystalline glow under the moonlight, like another form of lunar radiance.
A chill ran down Song Pianxian’s shoulder, accompanied by a faintly warm tingling sensation. She glanced at Yu Yi and smiled indulgently.
Not giving Yu Yi a chance to persist in her tantrum, she leaned down and kissed away that glimmer of bright moonlight from Yu Yi’s lips.
The little cat, having spent the day in deep slumber and now fully energized, was unwilling to easily drift back to sleep. It lay on the bed, looking around. The room had never been inhabited; aside from daily cleaning by servants, it remained untouched.
Soon, the kitten’s gaze settled on a slender-necked vase resting atop the table. Perhaps due to the vibrant spring season, the servants had placed a vase there, filled with lush branches bearing peach blossoms.
This presented a convenient opportunity for the little cat. With a swift movement, it appeared beside the vase.
The peach blossoms were truly captivating, likely freshly picked earlier today. They retained ample moisture, their delicate pink petals exuding a charming allure, enchantingly alluring. The kitten gazed at them briefly before promptly biting onto the only two yet-to-bloom buds.
These tender flower buds still carried a hint of youthful innocence, tightly wrapped together. As the kitten sank its tiny teeth into them, they felt soft yet slightly resilient.
The kitten carefully held them between its lips, its slightly rough tongue gently scraping against the peach blossoms, tasting every inch. Buried amidst the cluster of flowers, the sweet fragrance filled both its nose and mouth.
Only after persistently curling its tongue around the delicate tips several times did it reluctantly release them.
By then, the two buds had been thoroughly sampled by the kitten’s tongue, now flushed with a luscious red reminiscent of ripe peaches, glistening wetly.
Yu Yi glanced down at her chest, involuntarily tightening her legs at the sight.
“You call me ‘Big Sister,’ yet you show no mercy.”
Song Pianxian delicately lifted a petal with her fingertip. “Did you expect me to hold back?”
Yu Yi fell silent.
Smiling, Song Pianxian patted Yu Yi’s fair knees. “Open up.”
Being just a young kitten, its attention was easily diverted.
It noticed the water concealed beneath layers of peach blossoms within the slender-necked vase. Tilting its head, the little cat parted the dew-kissed petals bathed in moonlight, eager to glimpse what lay hidden beneath.
Whether due to carelessness or some other reason, the water was overfilled, spilling out and saturating the petals closest to the bottle’s rim. The considerate kitten kindly proceeded to consume all these dampened petals.
A chill mixed with warmth spread between Yu Yi’s thighs. She tried to twist away, but Song Pianxian held her firmly, leaving no escape.
Not until Song Pianxian had fully indulged herself did she relent.
“All clean now,” Song Pianxian said, grasping Yu Yi’s waist and pulling her closer. “Everywhere else is spotless.”
Next—
The little cat eyed the narrow-necked vase amidst the peach blossoms, feeling playful. Determinedly avoiding magic, it extended its paw to reach for the water inside.
The opening of the delicate-looking vase was exceedingly tight, prompting the little cat to instinctively exercise caution. Despite this, its paw got snugly trapped, immobilized several times over.
Finally managing to slip its paw within, the little cat soon discovered that any movement caused more water to spill out. Some trickled slowly from the mouth, quickly forming a pool beneath the vase. Other drops, carrying the scent of peach blossoms, splashed onto the little cat’s face as it leaned close. It licked them curiously—slightly viscous, subtly sweet.
Enamored by the taste, the little cat meticulously licked the peach blossom-infused water from its paws.
Yet even then, Song Pianxian remained unsatisfied. Leaning forward once more, she curled her tongue to draw in a sip of the refreshing liquid. With a swallow, she sighed softly:
“Why is everything so sweet?”
The little cat’s body felt flushed and warm.
