I Became Love Rivals With My Crush Ch.11

New series! Woohooo

The night was radiant, with a sparkling Milky Way formed by countless bright stars. The night breeze gently rustled the leaves as it blew by. It was the evening free time for the disciples of Cangnan Sect, so when Qu Panyan returned from Lou Wuhua’s place, many disciples eagerly greeted her.

She was wearing her own clothes today, a fresh and delicate water skirt with faint yellow plum blossom patterns. The collar was embroidered with the Qu family emblem, and the ethereal hem of the skirt fluttered in the night breeze, exuding a touch of allure from top to bottom. Seeing her from afar, many disciples blushed and hesitated to approach her, too shy to strike up a conversation. She looked ahead and strolled leisurely along the corridor until a familiar figure suddenly appeared in her sight. She stopped in her tracks and called out, “Senior Sister Mu.”

“Senior Sister Mu, where are you heading?” Qu Panyan asked, smiling.

Mu Qian turned around stiffly, and Qu Panyan could clearly see the fleeting blush in her eyes, quickly replaced by an awkward smile as she said, “Nowhere in particular.”

Qu Panyan remained silent, but the smile at the corner of her lips seemed like a deathly grin to Mu Qian. She couldn’t help but shudder involuntarily and asked: “What can I do for you, Junior Sister Qu?”

Ha, She won’t insult me for being ugly, will she? The smile on Qu Panyan’s lips deepened and said: “Senior Sister Mu, you used to be different. In just a few days, you’ve changed a lot.”

Mu Qian hurriedly replied, “In the past, I was ignorant and failed to recognize greatness!. Junior Sister, please forgive me for my mistake. From now on, I will be your servant without any complaints!”

Qu Panyan stood with her hands behind her back, her gaze filled with scrutiny. “To be a servant, you must have the qualifications. With your current cultivation, I don’t think you’re up to the task. What do you think, Senior Sister?”

Mu Qian: “…”

Damn, isn’t she forcing her to admit she’s useless!

Mu Qian gritted her teeth and struggled to smile, “I think…what Junior Sister said is correct!”

Qu Panyan innocently remarked, “Why does Senior Sister Mu look so humiliated? Are you angry? I’m just stating the facts. Senior Sister Mu seems a bit petty. In the past, Senior Sister Mu used to insult and berate me within the sect, saying all kinds of nasty things, but I never held a grudge against her.”

Before Mu Qian knew she was the Third Miss of the Qu family, she had used malicious words to curse her countless times, both in public and private. It was all because she was more attractive and more popular among the Cangnan Sect, nothing more.

She hadn’t exaggerated the facts. Before her cultivation had advanced, she might have exchanged a few harsh words with Mu Qian, but she had never truly been angry. Not only because the Qu family’s rules required disciples to cultivate peacefully and avoid any conflicts, but also because getting angry with idiots would only make her an idiot herself. Moreover, annoying pests like Mu Qian would relish in your irritation if you showed it, and she didn’t want to give her that satisfaction.

Qu Panyan was speaking nothing but the truth, and Mu Qian found herself speechless and standing there in silence, neither daring to leave nor cursing back, and all she could do was thinking resentfully: why did she have to come back!

Suddenly, Qu Panyan remembered something and casually said, “I don’t know if Senior Sister Mu still remembers what I told you before, that when I have the chance, I’ll come back and ask you whether it’s me or Sect Master Su…”

“Who is more attractive?”

Qu Panyan’s question felt like a death trap aimed at Mu Qian, making it hard for her to breathe, and her face turned extremely ugly. If she said Qu Panyan was prettier, it would mean admitting that the revered Sect Master, Su Lingyu, wasn’t as beautiful as a junior in her eyes. If she said Su Lingyu was prettier, it would be like slapping Qu Panyan in the face and indirectly offending the Qu family behind her. Both of these individuals had statuses and positions that she couldn’t easily offend. Saying either of them wasn’t beautiful was not an option, and saying who was more beautiful was even worse—let alone the fact that she had never even seen Su Lingyu. She had no qualifications to attend today’s grand union ceremony, so she had been stuck at the Cangnan Sect all day long.

Mu Qian was particularly frustrated at this moment, regretting why she had been so reckless to provoke Qu Panyan!

Mu Qian dryly replied, “You are both attractive…”

Qu Panyan’s expression immediately changed, and she coldly stared at Mu Qian, “Do you think we look the same?”

Mu Qian quickly corrected herself, “You’re more beautiful! It must be you!” Never mind everything else, just stay alive for now.

After she finished speaking, Qu Panyan’s gaze turned even colder, as if brewing a tremendous storm that could tear her apart at any moment. Mu Qian was taken aback, completely clueless as to why Qu Panyan would react like this.

Qu Panyan spoke with precision, each word cutting like a knife, “The Sect Master is incomparable, understand?”

Mu Qian: “???”

Mu Qian: “Understood, understood, understood!”

Qu Panyan’s gaze turned fierce, “Say it again, who is more attractive between the two of us?”

Mu Qian: “The Sect Master! The Sect Master is the most attractive! The Sect Master’s beauty is peerless!”

In an instant, the deathly chill around Qu Panyan dissipated like smoke, and a brilliant smile spread across her face. “Hmm, Senior Sister Mu is right.”

She sauntered past Mu Qian, casually glancing at her as she passed, then whispered, “Elder Mu and the others have already returned. You can go and ask An Lin’er about what happened to her. I believe what she experienced will be of great benefit to you.” With that, she left Mu Qian standing there alone, not even bothering to look back.

Mu Qian watched her slender figure, unable to forget the way she looked just now; those sinister eyes and icy words felt like a hellish fiend descending upon her, as if she could reach out at any moment and snap Mu Qian’s head off, leaving her with lingering fear.

Qu Panyan, this woman, was just too terrifying…

As Qu Panyan passed by Yue Xiaomeng’s room, she noticed that she was wearing the Cangnan Sect’s disciple attire, sitting quietly on the steps and gazing at the stars. The surroundings were silent, and Qu Panyan felt like an intruder as she entered the room. Yue Xiaomeng turned her head slightly and immediately spotted her, “Qu Panyan, why are you here?”

Qu Panyan replied honestly, “Passing by, just thought to come in and take a look.”

Yue Xiaomeng met her gaze and suddenly called out, “Qu Panyan.”

Qu Panyan: “?”

Yue Xiaomeng took a deep breath, as if mustering her courage, and said, “Thank you.”

Qu Panyan didn’t understand, “??”

Yue Xiaomeng averted her eyes, feeling embarrassed, “Thank you for saving me today.”

At that moment, the corpse suddenly burst up, which frightened her to the core, leaving her mind completely blank, and If Qu Panyan hadn’t quickly pulled her away, that injured person might have been her.

Qu Panyan suddenly smiled, walked over, and sat beside her, “If you want to thank me, it’s simple. Just save me next time.”

Yue Xiaomeng was stunned for a moment, lowering her gaze, and seemed lost in thought. After a moment, she looked resolute as she raised her head and solemnly said, “Deal! wait for me, I will cultivate diligently until I can save you!”

Qu Panyan didn’t discourage her enthusiasm and responded seriously, “Deal, I’ll wait.”

The next day, the scorching sun shone brightly in the clear sky, and the weather was excellent.

Although Qu Panyan was a disciple of the Cangnan Sect, she no longer adhered to the sect’s regulations and didn’t need to participate in the early morning exercises with the other disciples, so she slept until she felt refreshed. Sitting on her bed with sleepy eyes, she pushed back her thin sleeve and glanced at her wound. Images of Su Lingyu’s incomparably stunning face as well as caring words emerged in her mind, “Take good care of yourself.”

A warmth filled Qu Panyan’s heart, and a sweet smile unconsciously bloomed on her lips. Su Lingyu’s attitude towards her yesterday could be described as exceptionally caring, and when she spoke to her, her tone softened involuntarily. Qu Panyan thought: This is probably what they call ‘blessing in disguise.’

She rolled out of bed, freshened up quickly, and put on her clothes before pushing the door and stepping out, intending to go to the medical pavilion to change her bandages. On the way to the medical pavilion, she inevitably had to pass by Yue Xiaomeng’s room. Before she even approached, she noticed a large group of disciples standing outside, creating a buzz of conversation, making it difficult to get through.

Cangnan Sect’s disciples were usually disciplined, so why would they suddenly gather and surround a guest’s room for no reason?

Qu Panyan felt that something was off and quickened her pace. As soon as she approached, she heard a female voice raising in anger, “If you don’t believe it, wait until Qu Panyan wakes up and ask her yourself!”

The voice belonged to none other than Yue Xiaomeng.

The author has something to say:

Qu Panyan: If you dare say I’m prettier than Sister Lingyu, you’re done for.
