Chapter 6
Chapter 6: I Insulted Your What?!
Boom!
When the sudden sound broke the silence of the scene, a loud explosion also sounded in the moonlit outskirts.
It was an explosion.
A violent explosion appeared without warning from the direction of the shout, flames rising and rumbling as it shook the ground.
“Go!”
The masked man who had been waiting for the search results shouted and rushed toward the direction of the explosion.
The suspicious people searching around immediately turned around and followed the masked man, rushing toward the direction of the explosion.
At this time, no one in the suspicious group would’ve noticed that someone was quietly leaving in the opposite direction.
That person was naturally the smart and clever Su Ming.
‘A great opportunity!’
Su Ming grabbed this chance to escape.
He immediately turned around and ran into the grass, preparing to sneak away.
But in the following second, Su Ming felt shocked.
Boom!
Su Ming had run into the grass when he suddenly felt a sharp pain and heard a loud noise.
“Ah!”
A sharp cry of pain came from the front of Su Ming.
Someone was hiding in the grass!
Su Ming had run right into them and fallen to the ground.
At that moment, Su Ming was completely dumbfounded.
Who am I?
Where am I?
What am I doing?
These were the only questions left in his mind.
As for the person who had run into Su Ming, they only had one thought.
I’ve been discovered?
The next action they took was almost entirely unconscious.
Shh!
They abruptly stood up and pulled out a dagger from their waist. Like a shadow in the night, they rushed toward Su Ming.
“Fuck!”
The sharp sound of the wind alerted Su Ming. He felt the murderous aura of the other person and cursed without hesitation.
But Su Ming’s movements weren’t slow. He extended his hand forward.
Spiritual energy surged within him, forming a circular array in his hand.
“First Form: Flying Arrow.”
This was the first-ranked spiritual technique among the hundred forms.
In other words, it was the most basic and weakest spiritual technique.
Even if it was weak and basic, it had its own qualities.
It could be formed quickly, be used and released in an instant, making it suitable for emergencies.
At that moment, a small invisible impact shot out like a bullet from the ring.
“Agh!”
Amidst the explosion the attacker who charged at Su Ming was sent flying back as if they had run into an invisible wall.
Su Ming swiftly flipped over and got up from the ground.
Only then Su Ming finally got a clear look at his attacker’s appearance.
It was a student.
A student of the Academy.
The familiar uniform told Su Ming this.
Of course, that wasn’t the most important thing.
The most important thing was that Su Ming knew this student from the Academy.
Her skin was as white as snow, her long hair tied up in a ponytail. She had a curvy figure, tall and graceful, and with a pair of long legs that were extremely eye-catching. Combined with her delicate face, she radiated the charm of a young woman in her prime.
The attacker was a beautiful girl.
“Xu Qianqian?” Su Ming’s entire body froze.
Su Ming was in a terrible state, but the other party wasn’t much better off.
“You know me?” Xu Qianqian frowned. She endured the pain as she questioned him.
Su Ming didn’t want to speak. How could he not know Xu Qianqian? She was the most popular girl in the Hunter Division, a descendant of a prestigious family, and her bloodline was noble. She was even considered a future supernova by the Academy’s higher-ups and even some of the base city’s higher-ups.
Of course, that wasn’t the most important part.
The most important part was that she was the Academy’s top student. Her strength could rank in the top three of the entire Hunter Division. She was on par with professional hunters who had already graduated and was undoubtedly a top student in both the Academy and the Hunter Division.
A person like this would naturally have a huge reputation in the academy.
Su Ming hadn’t seen Xu Qianqian very often, but Lei Hao would often brag about how beautiful and popular she was every day. During holidays, he would even drag Su Ming and Ye Bai out to buy gifts for her. Sometimes, Su Ming could even hear Lei Hao calling Xu Qianqian’s name in his sleep while doing some sort of crazy movement.
In this situation, it was impossible for Su Ming not to know who Xu Qianqian was.
The problem was…
“How are you here?” Su Ming questioned reflexively.
Unfortunately, Xu Qianqian didn’t answer Su Ming’s question, only silently releasing a powerful killing intent.
Su Ming knew what this meant.
This girl had no intention of stopping.
In other words, she wanted to take him down first before saying anything else.
“Wait!”
Su Ming wanted to stop her.
But Xu Qianqian had already moved.
Whoosh!
With the wind behind her, Xu Qianqian once again turned into a dark shadow and rushed toward Su Ming.
Her speed was extremely fast, multiple times faster than Lei Hao’s. She didn’t make the same kind of loud noise when she charged, instead moving with a light agility that made it obvious she was no ordinary person.
It would be difficult for most people to react to such speed.
Fortunately, Su Ming reacted.
Warlocks might not have the same shocking physical strength as hunters, but their spiritual senses were superior. They could sense even the most mysterious spiritual techniques and use them. Naturally, their spiritual senses were not to be trifled with.
Even if he didn’t see her, his sixth sense-like spiritual senses could detect danger and react.
Su Ming sensed Xu Qianqian’s rapid approach and lifted his hand without thinking to unleash another flying arrow attack.
Pah!
The impact wave exploded for the second time, stirring up a cloud of dust.
This time, Xu Qianqian dodged the flying arrow attack.
She only needed to step aside, and the invisible impact wave would miss her completely, exploding the dust on the ground and not touching her at all.
Xu Qianqian suddenly appeared in front of Su Ming at an alarming speed.
Just as Xu Qianqian was about to swing her sword, Su Ming suddenly pointed his hand towards the ground.
Bam!
The sound of the shockwave exploded for the third time.
Su Ming released a flying arrow shockwave beneath him, sending dust flying into the air.
The flying dust covered Su Ming’s figure, shocking Xu Qianqian and making her stop her charge.
In the flying dust, a figure rushed towards Xu Qianqian.
“You?!”
Xu Qianqian didn’t expect that the suspicious warlock before her would choose to get close to her, the hunter. She was momentarily stunned.
By the time she reacted, Su Ming had already charged in front of her.
“Since you don’t want to listen to others, then take my face-breaking punch!”
Su Ming swung his fist at Xu Qianqian’s face.
His speed was so slow that it was almost laughable.
At least, that was how Xu Qianqian felt.
There was nothing he could do. Su Ming was a warlock, not a hunter. His physical abilities were only on par with an average person. He couldn’t possibly hope to have his fist be faster than a hunter’s eyes and reflexes.
“Stupid!”
Xu Qianqian cried out in a delicate voice and prepared to swing her dagger at the arm reaching toward her.
But Xu Qianqian’s expression suddenly changed.
“First Style: Flying Arrow.”
Su Ming’s other hand had been pointing at Xu Qianqian’s abdomen without her noticing. A ring array had formed on it, like a cannon pointed at Xu Qianqian.
“Shit!”
Xu Qianqian’s expression abruptly changed .
An invisible shockwave exploded on her body.
“Ah!”
Amidst the explosion, Xu Qianqian was sent flying once more.
Cough!
She slammed into a tree, and the unbearable pain in her abdomen made her cough.
‘I can’t believe I was defeated by just the first form, ‘ she thought, unable to accept this result.
This wasn’t the first time she had fought with a warlock, nor was this the first time she had lost to one. The warlocks who could defeat her were either experienced and could use low-ranked spiritual techniques to defeat her or used high-ranked and diverse spiritual techniques against her. Never before had a warlock used a single weak technique like “Flying Arrow” to make her look like a fool.
“Seventh Form: Ash Bind.”
As Xu Qianqian couldn’t accept the result, black ash blew in from all directions.
They surrounded Xu Qianqian and trapped her in a cage of ash.
“Damn!”
Xu Qianqian swung her dagger, hacking at the black ash cage trapping her.
Klang!
The sharp dagger bounced off of the ash walls, unable to cause any damage.
At this point, Xu Qianqian had no choice but to admit it.
She had lost.
With that thought, Xu Qianqian’s eyes had determination in them as she raised the dagger in her hand and stabbed it in her own throat.
“Fuck!”
Su Ming’s eyes widened, and he finally couldn’t help but curse out loud.
He quickly extended his hand and released an invisible shockwave, knocking the dagger in Xu Qianqian’s hand away.
But this action made Xu Qianqian even more insane.
“You evil person! Don’t you dare humiliate me!”
Xu Qianqian shouted as she pulled out a bottle of medicine and was about to pour it into her mouth.
“Humiliate my ass!”
Su Ming exploded.
By the time he came back to his senses, Su Ming found that he had already thrown himself onto the other person.
Xu Qianqian was now pinned beneath Su Ming, and they began to fight.
