Flocks of birds took flight as the dragon soared, and countless small luminous sprites, about the size of palms, emerged from the forest. They followed the dragon, becoming a myriad of luminescent beings trailing behind her, giving the impression of light left in the wake of the dragon’s flight path.

“Where is this?” Luor exclaimed excitedly. “I thought you might lock me up in a cave, one of those dark and cold kinds.”

The dragon’s voice rumbled, “You like that kind of thing?”

Luor immediately shook her head.

“Hmph.”

The dragon chuckled softly and soared over the forest. Luor saw a wide river cutting through the land on both sides, eventually cascading over a cliff’s edge, splashing silver droplets. The silver dragon muttered an incantation, and the once-bright sky suddenly darkened, stars shimmering. The vast Milky Way seemed to linger in the river’s waters, transforming the waterfall into a cascade of stardust.

“Beautiful, isn’t it?” the dragon asked.

“Beautiful!”

The dragon proudly spread her wings. Just then, from a distance, a deep woman’s voice resonated. The dragon’s magic instantly dissipated, and the world brightened anew.
