Chapter 55
Deep autumn, the weather turned cold, the air crisp and clear.
In the blue sky, white streaks of clouds broke through the horizon, descending at the capital airport.
Xu Heran had on black sunglasses, a mask, a baseball cap, and was wearing a loose red hoodie. She walked quickly out of the terminal, pulling her luggage, and met up with her assistant.
“Our schedule is confidential, no fans at the airport,” the assistant whispered.
“Great, where’s the car? Let’s go, let’s go.” Xu Heran’s excitement was evident in her tone. Her suitcase seemed to fly as she rushed forward, her smile impossible to conceal, until she spotted the familiar nanny car.
She ran over, pulling open the car door, “Nuo—oh, where is she?”
Xu Heran leaned in for a look.
Behind her, someone quietly emerged, rising on tiptoes and placing a hand over her sunglasses.
“Haven’t seen each other for over ten days, your eyesight seems to have deteriorated,” Xin Nuo teased.
Xu Heran caught her wrist and touched it, “You’ve lost weight!”
“Liar, get in quickly.” Xin Nuo released her hand, patted her buttocks, and followed Xu Heran into the car. As soon as they settled, they began to unload their equipment.
“Are you both feeling well? Nuo Nuo, aren’t you tired from flying in from the set? Have you eaten?” The manager in the front passenger seat asked.
Xu Heran’s gaze was fixed on Xin Nuo, not having seen her for over ten days. Xin Nuo seemed to have become even more attractive, her fair complexion, and the coldness still lingering in her eyes from the drama. A fleeting glance carried a trace of a murderous intent.
Wow.
Xu Pearl smiled and couldn’t help but raise her hand to touch the corner of her eye.
“Your sister’s eyelashes are so long.” Xu Heran whispered.
“Hand.” Xin Nuo held Xu Heran’s finger, answering the manager’s question, “Ate airplane food, slept well yesterday, not tired.”
“That’s good. We’ll head directly to the hotel arranged by the program team. The scripts are already in your respective rooms. Everyone should try to rest at the hotel, wait for the makeup artists sent by the program team, and then we’ll head to the shooting location. The shooting will last for two days and one night. Everyone, work hard. 《Crazy Interpretation》 is one of the most popular programs on Capital TV. You must perform well.”
Xu Heran nodded, “We’ll do our best!”
“Also, the program team emphasized multiple times that you cannot discuss the script or exchange information privately. We need to cooperate well with the program team, understand?”
“Yes, yes.”
Xu Heran leaned back in her seat and glanced to the side, meeting Xin Nuo’s gaze.
“I caught up on the content of the first two seasons of 《Crazy Interpretation》 in the past couple of days. Sister, are you the murderer?”
Xin Nuo’s movements were slow as she glanced at her, “The script hasn’t reached me yet.”
“Use your sixth sense.”
“Hmph, I don’t know who the murderer is, but if you dare lie to me again…” Xin Nuo still held Xu Heran’s finger in her hand. She deliberately grasped the joint of Xu Heran’s finger, brought it near her mouth, lifted her gaze slightly, and looked at Xu Heran in a threatening manner.
In her pitch-black eyes, a cold light gleamed, like a crescent moon reflected in a sleeping ink bowl in a courtyard on a summer night. But the person being warned by her gaze, faced with her expression at this moment, responded with a smile, especially those blue-purple eyes, shining brightly like a gem box filled with diamonds, radiating a light that seemed about to overflow.
“Nuo Nuo looks really good.” Xu Heran turned her face to the side, her idle hand supporting her chin as she looked at Xin Nuo with a smile. The hand held by Xin Nuo approached her, much like a fair-skinned girl’s cheek, gently pressing near the corner of her mouth.
A strange atmosphere seemed to spread in the air, the two girls locked in a gaze, as if agreeing that the first one to look away would lose.
“By the way.” The manager in the front row suddenly spoke, “Do you know that Miss Ji played a big role in inviting you for 《Crazy Interpretation》?”
“Snap.”
As if glass shattered in the air, the previously blocked air rushed in, dispersing all the ambiguity. Xin Nuo quietly let go, took out her phone, and tapped on it.
“Well, I know that Miss Song helped a lot as a recurring guest on the program.”
Xu Heran withdrew her hand, looking calmly composed.
“So, are we going to see Sister Chacha today?”
She touched her hair, which had become much lighter in color. A stretch of black-green hair was growing from the roots, partially covering her reddened ears.
“The guests for each episode of 《Crazy Interpretation》 are kept confidential by the program team. Everyone only knows when they arrive at the location,” the manager said. “They’re afraid of leaking the script.”
Behind her, the two girls looked out of the window absentmindedly, nodding.
The city of the capital lived up to its name, bustling with people and vehicles, everything in perfect order.
“Is that the Lu and Tang buildings over there?” Xu Heran pointed to a distant building outside the window. “Landmark buildings.”
Xin Nuo asked her softly, “Is your sister still in the capital?”
“No, she went back to Blue Country,” Xu Heran said. “A few days ago, when you weren’t here, we were filming the variety show, and we even saw the CEO of our company. The CEO of Universal Entertainment, she’s a spirited sister. She asked me to send her regards to you.”
“Okay,” Xin Nuo lowered her eyelashes. “Please convey my smile.”
The manager in the front row burst into laughter.
“After the program is finished, you two can go back together to prepare for the new album. Do I need Ranran to convey it for you? Your albums will be released simultaneously on Christmas Eve. In this album, Sister Cui plans to invite a thousand fans for an offline Christmas concert.”
The manager said, “After the Christmas concert, get ready for the major programs before the new year. I wonder if you have a chance to be invited by the TV station for the local Spring Festival Gala.”
“Don’t think too much about it; work is endless,” Xu Heran said with a light smile. “We’ll take it step by step.”
“Time is on our side.”
“Darlings!” Ji Chacha, without any makeup, wearing slippers and pajamas, waved to Xu Heran and Xin Nuo through the hotel door.
“Sister Song.”
“Chacha Sister!”
Xu Heran entered and shook hands with Ji Chacha.
“Can’t we hug?” Ji Songyu covered her mouth. Even at almost thirty years old, she was still a cute girl.
Xin Nuo smiled and said, “Why not?”
Before Ji Songyu could say anything, a pair of long arms wrapped around her shoulders and hugged her gently.
“You really are obedient, huh?” Ji Songyu tilted her head back, trying to rub her face against Xu Heran’s, and then patted Xu Heran’s shoulder. “Did you change your perfume?”
“Yeah, not bad, right?” Xu Heran and Xin Nuo sandwiched Ji Songyu between them as they walked toward the elevator. “My grandmother gave it to me.”
“She made it herself.”
Both Ji Songyu and Xin Nuo’s eyes lit up simultaneously. “Is it Ms. Diana?”
“Oh my god!”
As actresses, Xin Nuo and Ji Songyu had different feelings about the former globally renowned star, at least when it came to learning acting skills and observing foreign films and television, they had referred to Diana’s movies.
Ji Songyu tilted her head and took a whiff of Xu Heran’s clothes. She smiled and said, “Yeah, it’s the smell of growing up.”
On her right, Xin Nuo slightly turned her head and glanced at Xu Heran.
“This hotel has very good confidentiality; the guests coming and going are all members, so you don’t need to worry about security,” Ji Songyu said. “The program team has reserved the 21st and 22nd floors, and we’ll be staying here tonight.”
She had just finished speaking when she pressed the elevator button. Before the elevator could close, a rich and non-pungent scent of perfume wafted in. The newcomer stretched out her long legs, blocking the elevator entrance.
“Isn’t it dangerous?” Ji Songyu furrowed her brows and scolded.
“How could it be?” The newcomer had long, black curly hair, and her appearance was enchanting, the type that elderly family members in TV dramas would point at and call “fairy.”
Xu Heran cautiously examined her; this beautiful woman seemed familiar with Ji Songyu. As soon as she arrived, she hugged Ji Songyu’s waist.
“Darling, what kind of pajamas are you wearing? So cute.” The woman’s voice was languid, her slender fingers hooked onto the buttons of Ji Songyu’s pajamas, playing with them. “Why haven’t I seen these before?”
“There’s a lot you haven’t seen. Stand properly.” Ji Songyu impatiently placed her room key on the woman, saying, “This is our Fluffy Sister. Don’t be deceived by her appearance; she’s the owner of this hotel.”
Zhao Rongrong, her fingers painted a bright red, hooked Ji Songyu’s cheek, “Who’s fooled?”
Xu Heran glanced at Zhao Rongrong again; although she didn’t say it out loud, her expression was a clear “wow.”
“Sister Rongrong has such a great figure!” Xu Heran gave a thumbs-up, turned to Xin Nuo, and grinned. “Hehe.”
“If I don’t have a good figure, how could I be liked by you, Ji Ji?” Zhao Rongrong chuckled, lowered her head, and whispered in Ji Songyu’s ear, “Who’s fooled? It’s you. As soon as these two pretty sisters arrived, you’re embracing them left and right, hmm?”
“Get lost, you’ve even called them sisters. Annoying, aren’t you?” Ji Songyu rolled her eyes at her.
“Come find me tonight?” Zhao Rongrong whispered.
“We’ll see, we don’t even know when the recording will end, and we have to continue tomorrow.” Ji Songyu said.
The elevator door opened, and Zhao Rongrong leaned against the elevator, her red dress flowing down, her shoulders and neck white and delicate. She raised the room key, kissed it, and pointed outside the elevator.
Once the elevator door closed, Ji Songyu rolled her eyes again.
“Debauchee!”
Xu Heran and Xin Nuo maintained a composed smile.
“I was the one who brought you in and recommended you to the director after watching your show,” Ji Songyu explained. “He liked it a lot. 《Crazy Interpretation》 is the program where we need to excel; it’s a script that immerses the audience, and you young folks catch on quickly.”
“That’s true, but isn’t Sister Ji Ji just two years older than Nuo Nuo?” Xu Heran asked in confusion.
Ji Songyu glanced at her. “That’s already passed… but I like it, hehe.”
“Anyway, you two need to do your best. I watched 《As You Wish》 it was amazing, Little Pearl, but Nuo Nuo’s strength wasn’t fully shown. Let’s do our best this time! Find the real culprit together!”
Xin Nuo nodded with a smile.
“And then we’ll find out that the real culprit is Sister Ji Ji!”
“Phew, phew, phew!” Ji Songyu laughed and pushed the two of them into a presidential suite. “I really don’t want to be the culprit. I’m scared.”
“Is this starting the groundwork?”
“Go read the script!” Ji Songyu slammed the door shut with a “bang.”
As the door closed, Xin Nuo suddenly looked up.
Xu Heran cautiously sidestepped.
“Go ahead.”
“Xu Heran, you just praised Fluffy Sister for her good figure. Why are you looking at me?” Xin Nuo smiled and said, “Are you missing my butt?”
She raised her palm.
“Wait for your birthday gift next year. How about I give you a ruler?”
“No way!”
Xu Heran immediately fled, grinning. “I didn’t mean anything! After all, I’ve practiced, and I know Nuo Nuo, she’s like this~”
She gave a thumbs-up and, without waiting for Xin Nuo’s reaction, dashed into the bedroom.
The two assistants brought their luggage up and saw the two of them chasing each other around the sofa. On Xin Nuo’s face were eight big characters that read, “This Pearl Must Die Today.”
“…Pause for a moment. You have a thirty-minute break to rest and read the script. After thirty minutes, the production team members will take you separately for styling and photoshoots,” the manager said.
Xu Heran winked at Xin Nuo.
“Hmph.” Xin Nuo sneered, turned, took a cup from the assistant, and headed to her bedroom with her name on the door.
“Keep up the good work, sweetheart~” Xu Heran said.
Xin Nuo turned back with a smile. “Wait and see, sweetheart.”
Styling, photoshoots, site inspections—one by one, at five in the afternoon, filming began.
The white castle was situated in the land of dreams. It was surrounded by vibrant flowers, much like the prosperity and stability of this kingdom.
At seven in the evening, the heir to the castle, His Royal Highness the Prince, was going to host a Christmas banquet, a splendid evening enjoyed by both the nobles of the kingdom and the invited guests.
Carriages arrived one after another, adorned in lavish attire and elegant dresses. The skirts of the noble ladies fluttered like flowers blooming in the meadow, and they laughed amidst the melodies playing.
The castle’s stewards and servants stood at the entrance to welcome the guests. The sun was setting, casting a golden hue across the land, illuminated by the twilight’s glow.
The castle’s butler and servants stood at the entrance to welcome the guests. By now, the sun had set, casting a rosy glow across the sky, with shades of orange blanketing the land.
Two white horses pulled immaculate carriages, slowly making their way toward the castle.
“Oh, it’s our beloved princess arriving!” the butler said affectionately.
The maid pursed her lips. “You’re being a bit cheesy.”
“Are you a woman?”
“I’m a man!” The butler touched his fake stubble mustache. “Please call me Butler Lu.”
“Butler Lu,” the maid said with a cheerful smile.
Both the butler and the maid were guests on the show. They were both quite good-looking—the maid was an actress and the butler was a female singer. In the midst of their conversation, the carriage stopped by the fountain.
In the fountain, two childlike angels, a boy and a girl, stood and flew playfully. They held round, gleaming water vessels in their hands, and the pure water flowed with a gentle “gushing” sound, falling into the orange-hued water.
The knight sitting by the coachman leaped down, adjusted his tailcoat, and opened the carriage door for the occupants. He extended his hand gently, saying, “We’ve arrived, Your Highness.”
From inside the carriage came a soft thank-you, and a hand wearing white rose-patterned gloves slowly emerged from the car door, placing itself in the knight’s hand.
“Please be careful,” the knight said.
The young woman inside the carriage lowered her hand slightly, lifted the wide hem of her dress, and stepped out. She met the knight’s gaze, and they exchanged smiles, a fleeting expression that lasted less than two seconds.
“You two, let go of me!”
A cold voice sounded from behind the fountain. The two individuals in front of the carriage released their hold and turned around in unison.
“Bold! How dare you frighten our esteemed Highness! Do you even know who she is?” the knight reprimanded.
In front of the carriage, a girl dressed in a snow-white court gown lifted the corners of her mouth. Her black hair was elegantly pinned up, revealing a graceful swan-like neck. A white daisy adorned her black hair, exuding an air of purity, like a cherished child of the divine.
“Of course, I know who she is,” the speaker emerged from behind the fountain, arching an eyebrow as they approached the two. “She’s not a princess anymore! Nor is she any kind of ‘Highness’!”
The speaker had black hair tied into twin ponytails, with two white ears perking up in between. Their blue-purple eyes were as deep and vast as the sea.
Xu Heran exclaimed loudly, “She’s a commoner!”
The princess spoke softly and gently asked, “Little Kitty, do you know me?”
“Tch, who wouldn’t know you!” The tall girl in a jumpsuit raised her hand and pointed at the knight with resentment. “Scumbag!”
Her slender fingers then turned toward Xin Nuo. They had initially paused near her face, but as soon as they met Xin Nuo’s smile, they swiftly dropped, pointing at the hem of her dress.
“Scum girl!”
Xu Heran poked her twice.
“The prince has long abandoned you. You’re divorced. How can you even attend the ball?” Xu Heran asked, hands on hips.
Xin Nuo smiled and said, “It was the prince who invited me, you know?”
“Although we’re divorced, we’re still good friends.”
Xu Heran immediately put on an expression of “Humans are so hypocritical.”
“Good friends? I think it’s good for a laugh!” Xu Heran circled around Xin Nuo, her hand in the white cat glove extended toward Xin Nuo. “Bring out your invitation, I need to confirm.”
“As the guardian of the castle and its true owner, I have the right to inspect your invitation!” Xu Heran said.
The knight whispered, “Give it to her, Your Highness. Even this little kitty thinks she’s the master. We have to play along.”
“Hmph!” Xu Heran lifted her chin.
Xin Nuo smiled and said, “Of course, I can give it to you, but I’ve been away from the castle for a long time, and suddenly I forgot your name. May I ask who you are… which kitty?”
“The castle used to have many cats.” The knight responded immediately.
Xu Heran huffed and said, “Indeed, there are many cats in the castle, but there’s only one as great and cute as me! Remember, I, the master of this castle, command all the servants in the castle. My name is—Rannyan!”
“Meow meow!”
“Oops—sorry, cough.” The knight lowered his head, pretending to pat his clothes.
A playful gleam sparkled in Xin Nuo’s eyes as she placed the envelope with the golden seal into Rannyan’s pinkish palm.
“Hello, Rannyan. Nice to meet you. I’m Xin Nuo-rella.”
“Hmm, I know. The one who used to work as a janitor.” Rannyan’s tone turned sour. “Times have changed for the better. Now you’re even riding in a carriage.”
“Wanna come up and sit?” Xin Nuo offered.
“Hmph, I’m going to the ball!” Xu Heran said.
She took the lead and walked a couple of steps before looking back.
The knight followed behind Xin Nuo, helping hold her large white skirt.
When the knight approached Xu Heran, she twisted her waist and bumped him away. “I’m coming! I want to play!”
She grabbed hold of Xin Nuo’s dress.
“Alright, alright.” The knight said gently.
“Hehe.” Xu Heran held onto Xin Nuo’s dress and asked with a mischievous grin, “Your dress is nice. Where did you rent it? I think a little kitty could fit inside.”
Xin Nuo replied with a smile, “I’ll have the guards catch any dress-burrowing kitties and feed them lettuce.”
What a clever way to retaliate!
The little kitty instantly became meek.
The castle’s butler and maid warmly welcomed Xin Nuo-rella’s arrival at the castle’s entrance and closed the gates after she entered.
At this moment, everyone gathered, and the ball officially began.
The grand hall shimmered with gold and splendor. The long tables were filled with fresh fruits, cakes, and various snacks. Rannyan picked and chose, picking up a piece of chocolate and holding it in their mouth.
“Why aren’t there any fish jerky?”
“Where’s Her Meowjesty’s fish jerky?” The cat scolded the servants.
“Compared to fish jerky, cats prefer meat.” The maid told them. “And little kitties can’t eat chocolate.”
Standing beside Xu Heran, Xin Nuo raised her hand and broke the chocolate bar near Xu Heran’s mouth.
“You’re already done for!”
Xu Heran widened her eyes. “Impossible, I have nine lives!”
“Then you still have room for seven grapes.” The maid said with a smile.
Xu Heran took in a sharp breath, crouched down, and lifted the lace veil of Xin Nuo’s dress, draping it over her own head.
“Humans are truly terrifying!”
Xin Nuo finished the half-chocolate bar in her hand, grinned as she rubbed the kitty’s head, and pinched its ears.
After a while, the butler raised his hand and tapped the cup in his hand.
“Respected guests, dear visitors, let’s warmly applaud and welcome the castle’s new owner, our future king, the current prince, to the stage for his speech!”
“Great!” Everyone clapped.
Xu Heran sat cross-legged on the carpet, disgruntledly saying, “This kitten is the true owner of this castle!”
Xin Nuo clapped her hands, picked up a banana from the table, and handed it down. Xu Heran accepted it without hesitation, peeled the banana for her, and waited for her to finish eating. The prince also said his words of gratitude, mostly thanking everyone for their presence and the excellent food and drinks.
“Ah~” Xu Heran let out a yawn, catching Xin Nuo’s gaze.
“Not full, not sleepy!” Xu Heran immediately declared.
She stood up abruptly and suddenly saw the handsome prince in his white prince’s attire walking up to Xin Nuo, his gaze affectionate.
“My dear, we’ve been apart for over a year, and you’re still this beautiful.” The prince praised.
Xin Nuo raised her hand, resting it on her chin.
“Perhaps it’s because of the time apart that I have a healthy complexion.”
Xu Heran: “Pfft.”
Prince: “…”
“Cough, may I have the honor of dancing the first dance of the night with you?” The prince whispered, extending his hand.
“Of course, you can—”
“Smack.” Xu Heran slapped away the prince’s hand, grabbed Xin Nuo’s hand, and said, “No, I won’t allow it!”
The prince frowned, looking at Xu Heran angrily. “Stop messing around. I know you have a secret crush on me, but I’m a human, and you’re a cat. We can’t have a future together! And I’m also the prince of this country!”
“Who’s secretly crushing on you!” Xu Heran suddenly reacted as if her tail had been stepped on. She angrily pointed at the prince’s nose. “Bah! You actually delude yourself into thinking about me! You foolish human, how could you even be worthy of this magnificent kitty!”
“Go indulge in your grand dreams!” Xu Heran “bah”ed.
“Chuckle.” Xin Nuo raised her hand, covering her mouth.
The prince: “…”
Is the script like this? He stared blankly at Xu Heran, who was holding Xin Nuo’s hand to dance.
“This human is the best-looking, according to this kitten. I want to dance with her, all night long!” Xu Heran loudly declared on the dance floor.
Everyone looked at her with tolerant expressions.
At ten o’clock in the evening, the ball came to an end, and the well-fed and well-drunk guests returned to their respective rooms.
At midnight, the resounding chimes of the vast castle pierced the night, followed by a sharp scream.
“It’s Sister Maid!” Xu Heran immediately jumped out of her cat bed.
“Something’s wrong!” the maid exclaimed.
Shortly after, Xu Heran, Xin Nuo-rella, the knight, the butler, two noble ladies, and a nobleman stood outside the prince’s room.
The maid’s face was full of panic, her complexion pale. “The prince… he’s dead!”
“What?” Everyone was horrified.
“Our only heir to the throne is gone. Our country is done for!” the nobleman said.
A noble lady said, “Our castle has no one to inherit now!”
“No need to fear, I’m here! I’ll take over!” Xu Heran immediately declared, “This was originally my castle anyway, returning to the original kitten!”
The nobleman immediately smiled and said, “Then the culprit must be you! You killed the prince because you wanted the castle!”
“This was originally my territory. What do you mean by ‘wanted’?” Xu Heran leaned against the wall, arms crossed. “Besides, even if I did kill him, I’m a cat. Your human laws don’t apply to me!”
“Humph!”
Xu Heran’s face immediately showed an expression of “This kitten is super awesome and cool, humans are all big idiots.”
At this moment, Ji Songyu, playing the role of a noble lady, stepped forward. She pointed at Xu Heran and said, “Then we’ll vote for you!”
“I’ve been locked in the dressing room since the ball started. It was just now that the maid let me out. So, I’m definitely not the one who killed the prince,” Ji Songyu said. “Today, I will lead everyone to uncover the murderer hidden among you!”
The splendid hall lit up once again, and everyone sat in European-style chairs, exchanging information.
“I’m the owner of this castle!” Xu Heran immediately declared. “Everyone can tell that I’m a magical cat! In this kingdom, I’m the only cat who can turn into a human, speak, and own a castle! My name is Rannyan!”
Xin Nuo sat beside her and couldn’t resist touching her ears.
“How old is this kitty?”
The kitty said disdainfully, “Older than all of you.”
“About the same age as this castle!” she said.
Ji Songyu immediately said, “So that’s why you claim to be the owner of this castle, right? Because you’ve always been with it. Your eye color is so magical. Are you a cat with magic?”
The kitty praised her, “This human is quite clever.”
She turned her head, patting Xin Nuo’s hand. “Learn something from her, don’t just focus on looking good.”
Xin Nuo smiled at Xu Heran, a hint of killing intent evident in her smile that anyone with eyes could see.
“We’ve already lost one prince. Please don’t create more bloodshed. Come, continue,” Ji Songyu said with a smile.
Xin Nuo stood up, lifting her snow-white skirt and twirling.
This should be a slow-motion shot, a young girl with bright eyes and white teeth, accompanied by blooming flowers.
“I am the princess of this kingdom,” Xin Nuo’s tone was light and cheerful.
Xu Heran raised her hand to Ji Songyu, covering her mouth, “She used to be a floor-sweeping maid.”
“Many people like me. Young men pursue my beauty, young girls praise my wealth.”
“It’s just that after divorcing the prince, we went our separate ways,” Xu Heran muttered.
“Gods have pity on me.”
Xu Heran exclaimed, “The immortal fairy godmother who loves to play matchmaker, ended up breaking up too, didn’t you? This tells us not to rush into marriage! Quick marriages lead to no results!”
Ji Songyu felt a headache coming on.
“Even small animals like me, willing to converse with me,” Xin Nuo said with a gentle laugh.
Xu Heran’s voice immediately became animated, “I’ve got something to say about this! Let me tell you all, this princess can be so unscrupulous, no sense of decency, seducing everywhere, even seducing me, this little kitty?”
Others: “No sense of decency?”
Xin Nuo: “Who seduced you?”
Ji Songyu asked Xu Heran, “Why is it about decency?”
Xu Heran appeared serious, “She’s a princess, male virtue, female virtue, princess virtue, abbreviated as decency.”
“…???”
The guests sitting in chairs all had question marks over their heads and in their eyes.
Xin Nuo’s waist was constricted by the court gown, barely a handful’s worth. She put her hands on her hips and questioned Xu Heran.
“Explain to me why I would seduce you, this little kitty.”
“You did seduce me!” Xu Heran said angrily. “You seduced me, then abandoned me, and even flirted with others!”
“I didn’t,” Xin Nuo retorted defensively. “Who would seduce a little kitty?”
“You did! It’s you!”
Xu Heran was both angry and indignant. She grabbed Ji Songyu’s hand and complained, “She’s not admitting it!”
Ji Songyu: “…Do these lines exist in the script?”
Xu Heran didn’t care whether they did or not. She stood up, facing Xin Nuo.
“Please explain why you said I seduced you,” Xin Nuo squinted.
“You’re a princess, right?” Xu Heran asked her.
“Yes,” Xin Nuo looked at her warily.
“Can princesses talk to small animals?”
“Yes.”
“Can princesses radiate charm, making small animals want to be close to you, like squirrels and birds?”
“…Yes,” Xin Nuo began to have a bad feeling.
“Am I not a small animal?” Xu Heran’s voice resounded powerfully, echoing in the room.
“Are you not able to talk to me?”
“Then you’re seducing me!”
“…”
Everyone: “…”
Unexplainable but reasonable!
“This is outrageous!” the knight couldn’t help but say, “Setting up a trap!”
Even Xin Nuo couldn’t hold back, “What kind of set-up is this!”
“She’s talking to you too, right?” She pointed to the people around.
“Yes,” the guests said in unison.
“You guys can’t, you’re not princesses.” Xu Heran sat back in her chair, waving her hand, “I only acknowledge princesses.”
Ji Songyu immediately said, “Let me find you another princess, Xin Nuo-rella push or Xin Nuo-rella pull, which one do you like?”
“No!”
The girl sitting in the chair smiled, her eyes curved. She had long removed the cat gloves, and her slender, fair hand rested on a book. She propped her sharp chin on her hand, her blue-purple eyes bright and sparkling, overflowing with happiness.
She looked at the girl in front of her, wearing a fluffy white dress, so captivating that it was hard to look away.
“I only acknowledge her as a princess.”
