Chapter 96
“Chuckle!”
Cough!
At the table, a group of people couldn’t help but suppress their smiles. The faces of Li He and others brought by Ji Yichen turned a mix of green and red, a pitiful sight to behold.
“This is Mr. Ji Yichen!” Li He gritted his teeth, his expression a mix of a smile and anger, a twisted and ludicrous appearance. He warned Xu Heran, “He’s the Vice President of Peak BioTech, Mr. Ji Yichen!”
Xu Heran responded with an “Oh,” and added, “I haven’t heard of you.”
Li He: “…”
“So, you’re not a plant.” Xu Heran chuckled. She casually grabbed Xin Nuo’s tea cup, took a sip after suppressing the fiery sensation in her mouth with the fragrance of the green tea, and then spoke slowly, “Seeing how enthusiastically you all tried to persuade me to drink, it’s hard not to be suspicious. I knew it, Sister Rong’s hotel wouldn’t possibly let in plants.”
“I’m sorry, I misunderstood.” Xu Heran pinched the white tea cup, apologized with a smiling expression, but her tone lacked sincerity.
“But… this is the celebration of ‘Wind and Forest’s Echo,’ isn’t it, you two?” Xu Heran looked at Ji Yichen, who remained expressionless, then turned to the man next to him with an angry expression. “So, you both don’t want to continue your original work and want to enter the entertainment industry?”
The girl’s blue-purple eyes were bright, and with an expression that everyone could see, she scanned their faces.
“I think it’s alright. This gentleman here looks quite suitable for playing a villain.” Xu Heran burst into laughter, waved her hand in front of Li He’s gloomy face, and said, “Just kidding, hahaha.”
Li He clenched his teeth, his face turning slightly, and he coldly chuckled, “You’re an actor, I assume?”
Xu Heran nodded, “I just tried acting in a drama this year.”
Li He snorted, confirming that she was indeed an ignorant little star.
“No wonder you don’t recognize me—also, leaving aside Mr. Ji Yichen’s investment performance, our Frontline Technology has invested in quite a few movies, TV shows, and those miscellaneous programs of yours. Director Li should have heard of them, right?” Li He turned his head and said to Li You.
This man who went by the name Li He had been acting like he was the host since he came in, which irritated Li You. Li You smiled but not really, pondering for a moment, “Perhaps.”
In other words, not clear, not knowing, not understanding—say whatever you want to say.
Li He inwardly let out a “tsk” sound, thinking that he indeed hitched himself to the director of Universal Pictures. Now he looks down on them, the investors, huh? Can Universal Pictures keep funding you forever? He doesn’t even understand basic diplomacy. Li You has really wasted all those years being a yes-man!
His circle is filled with friends from both inside and outside. Li You must think he’s living too comfortably!
The anger on Li He’s face wasn’t suppressed at all. He let out a cold laugh and said, “Since Director Li has no intention of cooperation, I won’t beg for it. Let’s go!”
The people at the dining table looked at him coldly.
Li He intentionally added, “I was thinking of collaborating on the next drama with everyone, but it seems that Frontline was presumptuous!”
Xin Nuo chuckled, leaned against Xu Heran, and Xu Heran raised her hand to pour her tea.
They were using the same cup.
Beside them, Ji Yichen’s peripheral vision caught this, and his eyebrows slowly furrowed.
No one responded to Li He. His self-directed and acted drama couldn’t continue. Li He hated it to the core. He looked at Ji Yichen, who was still sitting there, uninvolved, and turned his eyes, “Mr. Ji Yichen, shall we go?”
With just one sentence, he put Ji Yichen and himself in the same circle.
Ji Yichen didn’t look at him. Suddenly, he raised his head, looked at Xin Nuo, then slowly fell upon the face of the girl who was speaking with Xin Nuo and smiling.
“Peak Biological Technology, Ji Yichen.”
Ji Yichen extended his hand towards Xu Heran.
Xu Heran politely smiled and shook hands with him.
“Universal Pictures, Xu Heran.”
As those five words fell, the fiery anger in Li He’s eyes, who was standing behind them like a clown, suddenly froze.
Universal Pictures, surname Xu?
Ji Yichen’s gaze suddenly illuminated, a trace of surprise pressed down from the depths of his eyes. He looked at Xu Heran’s unique eyes, his expression unchanged, “President Xu, is it you…”
Their hands separated with a touch. Xu Heran’s hand, which had shaken hands with him, hung by the armrest. Hearing his words, she raised her eyebrow, “Which President Xu?”
From the moment Ji Yichen entered until now, his unchanging expression revealed a faint smile. “I’ve heard that Miss Xu from the Xu family has naturally unique eye color. Today, seeing you, it’s indeed true.”
Xu Heran felt that his tone brought her back to the time they were filming two months ago. He was acting all sophisticated.
“Ah, a mutation, well, the heavens like me, can’t help it.” Xu Heran’s tone sounded quite fake, even though she felt that the smile on Ji Yichen’s face was faker than her tone.
“Oh, Miss Xu!” Li He’s voice suddenly rang out, a drop of cold sweat on his forehead, his eyes widened in an exaggerated manner. With a smile faker than Ji Yichen’s and a tone faker than Xu Heran’s, he loudly exclaimed, “Universal Technology has been leading the world, and we at Frontline have long admired Universal. I didn’t expect to meet Miss Xu here today!”
Xu Heran let out a scoff.
“Sorry, I’m just a mediocre little celebrity. I really don’t understand anything about technology or not. She raised her hand and pointed outside the door. “When it comes to investment, I think I still have enough money in my hands. You don’t need to worry about it.”
“Haha, hahaha… Of course, of course, you’re right. I’ll come to visit another day!” At this moment, Li He didn’t care about Ji Yichen or Xu Heran, fear filled his heart. The recent news of Starshine rapidly taking over the market from Haicheng Xing Group, losing many big orders, had been mentioned by them not long ago. Fear was the only thing left in his heart.
Absolutely, he must not offend Universal Pictures!
What to do now?
He hurriedly rushed out of the room, feeling uneasy.
Xu Heran’s gaze landed on Ji Yichen. Ji Yichen nodded at Xu Heran, then reached into his neatly tailored suit pocket, but couldn’t find what he was looking for. He pulled out a fountain pen and a napkin, wrote down his phone number, handed one to Li You, and the other… He stood up, placed it on the table, and looked at Xin Nuo.
“Recently, I’ve developed an interest in movies. If you need anything, you can contact me.”
After saying this, he nodded to the people at the table and walked away with a calm and unhurried pace. After these two unexpected guests left, the people at the table let out sighs of relief.
“Who’s that Li He? His eyes almost flew up to the sky. So disgusting!”
“Frontline Technology, they invested in that movie by Mu Yiyao, which won him the Best Actor award. They made a fortune from it. After that, many directors went to Frontline for investment. I guess they heard too many sweet words and forgot their own surname.”
Li You placed the napkin with Ji Yichen’s contact information on the table and leisurely said, “I do remember my surname, Li.”
Laughter erupted from the crowd.
Li You looked at Xu Heran. The girl fingered the light green napkin, scrutinizing it for a moment, her gaze subtle.
“Made Miss Xu laugh.”
“No worries, we’re all family,” Xu Heran smiled, “Is Peak BioTech impressive?”
Li You pondered for a moment. “While it can’t compare to Universal Pictures, it’s been quite prominent in recent years.”
“Yeah, isn’t it the Peak BioTech that came up with some new technology in the major news reports this year?” someone remarked.
Xu Heran nodded, smiling. “They’re all gone now. Everyone should eat and drink without being too courteous to Director Li.”
“Absolutely, no need to be polite!”
“Hahaha.”
“Nuo Nuo and I will leave first,” Xu Heran said with a smile.
She had come to pick up Xin Nuo, and given the situation, everyone understood and nodded.
Xu Heran glanced at Xin Nuo, seeing the girl’s gaze on the napkin on the table. Her eyes were deep, as if shrouded in an impenetrable curtain. Xu Heran pursed her lips, tapped the table lightly, discreetly concealing the napkin in her palm. She held Xin Nuo’s hand and bid everyone farewell before leaving the room with her.
“Where are the others?” Once outside, Xu Heran asked Xin Nuo.
Xin Nuo linked her arm with Xu Heran’s and replied in a gentle tone, “I let them go ahead.”
Xu Heran smiled, and the two of them walked in the direction of the elevator.
The corridor, as clean as a place to rest, cast the shadows of the two figures walking closely together. Xu Heran raised her hand, and in front of Xin Nuo, she tossed the napkin into the trash bin.
“This guy is so inexplicable,” she muttered.
Xin Nuo clasped Xu Heran’s fingers. “Just ignore him.”
“Mm.”
They reached the elevator, and Xu Heran pulled out a black room card from her pocket. As they waited for the elevator to arrive, they heard a commotion from a distance. The man they had just seen was followed by a crowd of people, like an emperor on inspection, heading towards the direction of the elevator.
Ji Yichen looked up and saw the two figures standing by the elevator. He felt somewhat perplexed, but he noticed that the two individuals completely ignored him, as if they were looking at a stranger, casually averting their gaze.
“Mr. Ji, Miss Cheng is quite dissatisfied with the budget for the second half of this year. She’s requesting a meeting with you to discuss it.”
“We’ve already built three new production lines this year, and I’ve provided her with the maximum funds,” Ji Yichen’s voice turned chilly. “I told her this is all we have. These budgets were calculated through joint efforts of data analysts and the R&D department. I’ve already added ten percent on top of that. What more could she want?”
The secretary spoke softly, “However, Miss Cheng…”
These three words caused Ji Yichen’s eyebrows to furrow tightly. He raised his hand to loosen his tie slightly.
“Tell her I don’t have time.”
With those words, Ji Yichen walked briskly toward the elevator.
“Meeting again.”
Xu Heran smiled faintly. “Are you leaving, General Ji?”
Ji Yichen glanced at his wristwatch. “Do you need me to see you off?”
“No need, thanks.”
As Xu Heran finished speaking, the elevator arrived.
“Wait.” Ji Yichen beckoned to his secretary and said, “Business card.”
The secretary quickly took out Ji Yichen’s business card from his bag and handed it to him. He watched as Ji Yichen personally handed the card to Xu Heran.
“I apologize for any offense just now,” he said to Xu Heran, but his gaze shifted toward Xin Nuo.
Xu Heran flicked his business card with her fingers and offered a polite smile. “It’s alright.”
“Goodbye.”
In front of Ji Yichen, Xu Heran held onto Xin Nuo and entered the elevator.
The silver elevator doors closed slowly. Sensing Ji Yichen’s gaze on her, Xin Nuo lifted her eyes slightly and curled her lips coolly.
The elevator ascended, and the closed doors bore a special emblem. People gathered behind Ji Yichen as his secretary pressed the elevator button. The adjacent elevator door lit up.
Confusion appeared in Ji Yichen’s eyes.
His secretary quickly explained, “Miss Xu and Miss Xin Nuo used the hotel’s special passage for the elevator. Only the hotel staff has access to it. They should be staying here.”
Ji Yichen’s confusion deepened. “Do you know them?”
The secretary smiled and said, “General Ji, both Miss Xu and Miss Xin Nuo have become popular stars in recent years. We even discussed whether to invite them for endorsements before, but it didn’t materialize.”
Never would he have thought that today General Ji himself would hand a business card to the heiress of Universal Group.
Universal Group’s microchips were renowned worldwide. As a tech company, Peak didn’t want to compromise its pride by inviting celebrities under the Universal Group umbrella to endorse their products.
“Mm,” Ji Yichen responded casually. “Send me the information.”
Information?
The secretary’s eyes widened more and more. Was General Ji interested in Miss Xu or Miss Xin Nuo? Oh, dear… If Miss Cheng found out about this, what would she do?
“Hmm?” Ji Yichen’s gaze looked down from above.
“Yes, I’ll organize it immediately, General Ji,” the secretary lowered her head, concealing her flustered expression.
“Ding.”
At the moment the elevator doors closed, Xu Heran swiftly turned around and pressed Xin Nuo against the wall.
“Speak, darling.” She held the delicate business card between her fingers, her voice growing somewhat heavy.
Xu Heran lowered her head, propping her arm against the wall, pinning Xin Nuo between her body and the wall. She spoke softly, a passionate scent of alcohol lingering in the air between her lips and teeth.
Xin Nuo stared at her red lips, subconsciously biting her own lip.
“What are you talking about?” Xu Heran feigned ignorance.
“That guy, he kept looking at you,” Xu Heran coldly huffed, stashing the business card in her palm. She raised her left hand, extending her index finger to press lightly against Xin Nuo’s lower abdomen.
“Mmm…”
Xin Nuo’s face turned red instantly. She raised her hand to cover the corner of her lips, which had emitted a muffled moan. Her eyes held a mixture of shyness and anger as she glared at Xu Heran. “I don’t know him.”
In this lifetime, she didn’t know him.
In the previous lifetime, well…
He had pursued her relentlessly while marrying another woman on the side. He used domineering tactics, playing the role of an overbearing CEO, attempting to break her wings and turn her into a butterfly kept in a greenhouse. He would glance at her when he was in a good mood, and toss her aside when he was not.
Xin Nuo tilted her head, her black hair falling onto her shoulder. Her gaze drifted far away as she contemplated the fact that all these men appearing by her side seemed to carry an excessive amount of confidence and a tendency to assume things. They acted as if hearing a person’s words would be deadly, especially when she said “no.”
Xu Heran looked at the sudden furrow on Xin Nuo’s brow, lowered her head, and kissed her lips.
Xin Nuo, filled with memories from a past life, froze. The fragmented scenes in her mind shattered like glass, and she couldn’t form a clear image. She could only watch dumbfoundedly as the girl before her kissed her while looking at her with blue-purple eyes.
A soft sound.
Her bag slipped from her hand as Xin Nuo leaned slightly forward, embracing Xu Heran. The two shared a passionate kiss in the elevator.
Although the elevator was said to be for hotel staff, in reality, only two cards operated the elevator, and it stopped on the floor exclusively used by Xu Heran.
The open elevator door slowly closed.
After a while, Xu Heran gently released Xin Nuo.
The woman in her arms was dressed in a silver gown, her black hair cascading down. Her beautiful eyes were slightly red. She leaned against Xu Heran’s chest, breathing slowly. With each rise and fall of her chest, a warm sensation was transmitted to the skin beneath.
Xin Nuo resembled a mermaid caught from the sea—beautiful and mysterious—but on land, she leaned weakly against a human.
“I really don’t know him,” Xin Nuo’s arms wrapped around Xu Heran’s neck, and she tiptoed, resting her chin on Xu Heran’s shoulder. She whispered softly, “I don’t want to know him.”
“Mm, let’s ignore him,” Xu Heran caressed Xin Nuo’s back. “My Nuo Nuo is too good; others might covet her.”
“But Nuo Nuo belongs to me, doesn’t she?”
She lowered her head, her lips near Xin Nuo’s.
Xin Nuo’s eyes curved as she gazed at Xu Heran’s face, a trace of affection appearing at the corner of her eyes.
“I am yours.”
“Always have been.”
The two shared an affectionate moment. Xu Heran bent down to pick up Xin Nuo’s bag and walked into the room, with Xin Nuo following behind. As they entered, Xin Nuo grabbed Xu Heran’s hand.
Xu Heran opened her palm, letting the business card fall into the trash bin by the door.
“Good girl.” Xu Heran patted Xin Nuo’s hair.
Several dishes were laid out on the restaurant table, ordered by Xu Heran herself. She hadn’t eaten yet, and similarly, Xin Nuo hadn’t had a meal since she was taken out by Xu Heran.
“I think I’ll freshen up first,” Xin Nuo said.
“I’ll wait for you,” Xu Heran touched the temperature of the dishes and found it just right, so she didn’t call for the hot dishes.
“You go ahead and eat,” Xin Nuo lowered her head and kissed Xu Heran’s cheek. “I’ll be out soon.”
Xu Heran watched her walk into the bathroom, then her gaze shifted to the wine cabinet. Her memories suddenly went back to last year, and her face blushed involuntarily. She wasn’t sure if it was genuine shyness or if the effect of the drink she had earlier was finally kicking in.
A certain little pearl stood up, swaggered over to the wine cabinet, selected a bottle of champagne, a bottle of red wine, and two tall glasses.
*Cough* “To boost the mood,” Xu Heran muttered to herself as she poured herself a glass of wine.
Outside, the traffic flowed like a river, and indoors, the lights were bright and warm. Xu Heran sipped her drink leisurely, took out her phone, and dialed a number.
“Speak,” a woman’s icy voice sounded on the other end.
“Sis~” Xu Heran greeted enthusiastically, “Good evening. Still awake?”
Xu Jiamu glanced at the bright sunlight outside the window. “Mmm.”
“Dearest sister, do you know about Frontiers Technology and Peak Technology?” Xu Heran asked.
“Hmm?”
Xu Jiamu pondered for a moment. “Peak Biotech might have a collaboration soon.”
The first name, she might have heard before but couldn’t recall.
“Huh?” Xu Heran flopped back onto her chair, her feet propped on the sides of the chair. “What kind of collaboration?”
“After the collaboration between Peak and Chengshi Biotech, they’re launching new bio-materials that enhance the performance of intelligent robots. I’m quite interested,” Xu Jiamu rarely saw Xu Heran discussing work matters with her. She put down her pen, stood up, and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window.
In the heart of the Blue Nation, where countless elites gathered, was bustling under the woman’s feet. She was dressed in a white shirt and blue suit pants, her posture as sharp as a hidden blade.
The entire wall-sized French window reflected distant skyscrapers. She casually cast her gaze to a corner of the city and said softly, “Apart from the new materials, other aspects of Peak Technology are not to be underestimated.”
Xu Heran understood. The remarkable aspect of Peak Biotech was its biotechnology.
“So, what’s this biotechnology about, and why collaborate with Peak?” Xu Heran asked in confusion, “We still have Manxin, and Lushi’s technology in the country is at the top level. Sis, weren’t you planning to collaborate with Manxin to build a tech city?”
“Mmm.” A faint smile flickered in Xu Jiamu’s cold eyes. “Do you remember?”
During the Chinese New Year, she discussed this matter with her grandfather at the dining table. Unexpectedly, Xu Heran, who had been arguing with her mother about whether to focus on career or marriage, overheard it at the time and remembered.
“In the process of selecting a location.”
“Oh!” Xu Heran nodded. “I hope you find a suitable location!”
A deeper amusement shone in Xu Jiamu’s eyes. “Why suddenly ask about this?”
“It’s nothing,” Xu Heran sighed with a hint of frustration. “It’s just that I met people from these two companies today. That manager from Frontiers doesn’t seem like a good person at first glance, and the Vice President of Peak, that guy named Ji Yichen… He seems interested in your sister-in-law!”
“Well, I’ll keep an eye on that.”
“Hmm?” Xu Jiamu raised her eyebrows in confusion and saw a white dove fly by. “Ji Yichen?”
“If I’m thinking of the right person, from what I know, he has a fiancée.”
Xu Heran sat up suddenly, her eyes sparkling.
“Oh, really?”
“Mmm, the director of Chengshi Biotech Research Institute, Cheng Siying,” Xu Jiamu said.
Xu Heran scratched her face. “Sis, you know about this?”
Xu Jiamu nodded. “Mmm.”
“Then this guy is no good!” Xu Heran exclaimed excitedly, sipping on champagne. “He has a girlfriend but still messed with our Nuo Nuo!”
Xu Jiamu said, “No good.”
“I was looking at his serious appearance, and I was a bit worried!” Xu Heran whispered, “You don’t know, this man looks decent. Of course, I’m not worried that he’ll seduce Nuo Nuo. I just want to know our enemy to be prepared. Before others make a move on Nuo Nuo, I want to strangle the enemy in the cradle! Know the foe and know yourself, and you can fight a hundred battles without disaster!”
Xu Jiamu said, “Makes sense.”
“Since he has a fiancée, I’m even more relieved. I’m totally devoted to Nuo Nuo, no second thoughts. My heart is all with Nuo Nuo! Nuo Nuo is smart and kind, she definitely won’t reject a pearl like me who loves her and fall for a married man like him!”
Xu Jiamu and Xin Nuo both said, “Mmm.”
“I need to tell this to—oh?” Xu Heran turned her head and behind her, a girl in silk pajamas smiled at her.
“Tell what to me?”
“Cough, sis, I’ll hang up first, urgent matter.” Xu Heran whispered to Xu Jiamu and quickly ended the call.
Xu Jiamu put down her phone, looked at the screen, and blinked in confusion.
“Sister Jiamu?” Xin Nuo walked past Xu Heran, a faint fragrance lingering in the air.
Xu Heran rubbed her bright red face and smiled. “You heard everything.”
“Silly pearl, you didn’t eat anything and went straight for the champagne?” Xin Nuo saw the nearly empty champagne bottle, surprised. “And you drank this much?”
Xu Heran hadn’t noticed; while talking to Xu Jiamu, she treated the champagne as a regular drink, only remembering it was very sweet.
“Are you drunk? Your face is so red.” Xin Nuo approached worriedly, holding Xu Heran’s face gently, speaking softly.
Her fair face was inches away, with rosy lips and inky eyes, traces of water washing, a faint mist lingering in her hair. Xu Heran thought, well, she’s definitely drunk.
“Eat something quickly, or your stomach will be uncomfortable,” Xin Nuo raised her hand and served Xu Heran porridge. The hotel’s provided robe was from a top luxury brand, soft and snug, wrapping around the girl’s slender body. As she raised her hand, the red silk rolled down, piling up at her elbows, revealing her fair and delicate arms.
Xu Heran swallowed, propping up her face, admiring Xin Nuo’s profile, her collarbone. As she watched, the little pearl herself felt embarrassed and leaned on the table, grumbling.
“I’m drunk, I don’t want to get up.”
“I want sister to feed me!”
Xin Nuo raised her hand and pinched her ear. “Sit properly, eat quickly.”
Xu Heran propped herself up and flirtatiously looked at Xin Nuo. “Just feed me one spoonful, you’ve even fed me in a drama before.”
“Don’t think I don’t know what you’re thinking.” Xin Nuo’s ears turned a bit red. If she lets Xu Heran feed her the porridge now, who knows what she’ll be asked to do later!
“Eat quickly.”
Thinking that Xin Nuo was hungry too, Xu Heran didn’t tease any further and chuckled as she picked up the spoon. The table became quiet, only the sounds of the two quietly eating remained. Xu Heran poured a little red wine from the sober-up glass into Xin Nuo’s and her own glass. The girl who was eating looked up and gazed at Xu Heran, whose face was reddened as if she was drunk, then glanced at the wine in the glass, the deep-red wine that stained her nail bed.
“…”
Xin Nuo curled her lips.
She put down her chopsticks, raised her high-stemmed glass, “To Pearl, for helping me out today.”
“Ding.”
The glasses clinked, and Xu Heran put on a serious expression. “Just doing my duty.”
“Then let Pearl handle it,” Xin Nuo said with a smile.
“Huh?” Xu Heran glanced at the red wine. “Should I finish it?”
“You handle it, I’m fine either way,” Xin Nuo said with an innocent tone.
Xu Heran laughed. “Where did you learn to say that?”
Xin Nuo’s lips drooped. “Just drink.”
“Alright, alright, I’ll drink,” Xu Heran quickly agreed.
She didn’t really want to drink, but Nuo Nuo was pouting at her!
After Xu Heran finished her glass, Xin Nuo stood up and continued to pour wine for her.
“Oh, you’re acting strange today.” Xu Heran raised an eyebrow. “You’re actually encouraging me to drink.”
“Because I’m happy,” Xin Nuo said, tilting her head and proudly declaring, “I won an award!”
Xu Heran immediately lifted her glass, “A must-drink situation!”
Nuo Nuo’s expression was really cute!
Nuo Nuo who won an award is amazing!
Cheers!
When Xin Nuo went to pour more wine for her, Xu Heran wasn’t having any of it. She leaned back, patted her thigh, “Come here.”
“I want to experience the joy of having a beauty feed me wine into my mouth!” Xu Heran really seemed quite intoxicated, shouting loudly.
Xin Nuo’s face turned slightly red. “Keep your voice down.”
“I won’t! It’s just the two of us here, and we can do whatever we want!” Xu Heran slapped the table as she got up. “My dear, come, let’s waltz!”
Definitely drunk…
Xin Nuo’s eyes revealed a triumphant smile.
“Your Majesty, let this humble subject feed you wine,” she softly said, like a beauty on a stage, with silky seductive eyes that left little pearl disoriented.
Xu Heran felt that at this moment, even if Xin Nuo was feeding her poison, she would drink it!
Furthermore, it wasn’t poison, it was the antidote to love!
If she’s a pearl, she’ll go all in!
Xu Heran held Xin Nuo and was fed the last glass of red wine by her. She let out a breath, swaying unsteadily, leaning against Xin Nuo, murmuring as if she were tipsy.
“Nuo Nuo, I love you.”
“I love you too,” Xin Nuo hugged Xu Heran, her entire body pressing against her, causing her to lean back. The two of them tumbled onto the couch together.
“Let me tell you, that Ji Yi Chen, he’s not a good person!” Xu Heran angrily slapped the couch, making a “bang bang” sound, “This guy, he has a fiancée, yet he still wants to flirt with you! Ha, as if I couldn’t see through him!”
“Nuo Nuo belongs to me alone!”
“Yes, I belong to Pearl,” Xin Nuo caressed her back, “Shall we get up and go to the bedroom?”
She felt a bit guilty, but aside from now, there wouldn’t be another chance, so…
Xu Heran seemed not to have heard, pressing against Xin Nuo and kissing her.
“Nuo Nuo, I love you.”
“Mm, I love you too,” Xin Nuo responded without annoyance.
“Give me a kiss.”
Xu Heran lowered her head, found Xin Nuo’s lips, and as her lips brushed against the girl’s red lips, the other person gently parted her lips, welcoming her tongue. They passionately kissed on the couch.
The scent of the person and the scent of the wine mixed together, intoxicating Xin Nuo’s mind. She held Xu Heran tightly, whispering, “Good girl, let’s go to the bedroom.”
Reluctantly, Xu Heran got up, and Xin Nuo wrapped her arms around her, leading her to the bedroom. The girl nestled against Xin Nuo, talking all the while.
“I really like you.”
“You can’t run away with a bad guy.”
“Anyway, if anyone dares to snatch you from me!”
“I’ll, I’ll pick you up and run!”
Xu Heran was placed on the bed by Xin Nuo, comfortably rolling around. She stretched out her arms widely, spreading them out, looking at the lamp on the ceiling, and suddenly let out a “howl.”
Crouching on the ground, Xin Nuo carefully took something from the cabinet, and Xu Heran’s sudden shout nearly startled her into dropping what she was holding.
“What’s wrong?”
Xin Nuo asked with a smile.
“Hehe.”
“Why are you laughing so happily?” Xin Nuo’s voice was seductive. She sat beside Xu Heran, raised her hand, and, just like every time, leaned down to kiss Xu Heran’s cheek.
“Wrong place, it’s here.” Xu Heran pouted.
“Silly pearl.” Xin Nuo extended her hand, gently stroking Xu Heran’s hair.
“Hehe.” Xu Heran laughed again.
“What’s so funny?”
“I was thinking, I’d snatch you and run.” Xu Heran looked at the ceiling. “In the future, whoever dares to snatch you from me, I’ll lift you up and run, run to the ends of the earth, Nuo Nuo!”
“Exciting, huh?”
Seemingly overwhelmed by the scene she had imagined, Xu Heran blushed and laughed heartily on the bed.
Xin Nuo took a deep breath, gripping the object in her hand, lowering her head to caress Xu Heran’s cheek, and whispered softly in her ear, “How about something even more exciting?”
Xu Heran seemed genuinely intoxicated, dazedly allowing Xin Nuo to undress her and kiss her, closing her eyes comfortably. She heard the sound of fabric rustling, and she slowly raised her eyelashes.
A sleepwear even more vibrant than wine fell, revealing the girl’s snowy white body. The girl lying on the bed had deep eyes, watching as Xin Nuo gradually approached her.
“Rip.”
The sound of plastic being torn echoed in the quiet bedroom. Xin Nuo’s fingers trembled. Her ears, cheeks, and neck turned red, like peach blossoms against snow.
After tremblingly tearing open the bag, a hand slowly rested on Xin Nuo’s wrist.
Xin Nuo’s hand trembled slightly. She lowered her head and unexpectedly met a pair of bright and dazzling eyes.
“Thank you, sister,” Xu Heran held her fingers, sat up, held Xin Nuo’s pink, and pinched the tips of her fingers, sliding a finger sleeve onto herself. The girl with blue-purple eyes licked her lips, leaned in at Xin Nuo’s neck, and pressed a series of kisses.
“From now on, leave it to me.”
“Xu Heran, you—”
You weren’t drunk at all!
Xu Heran embraced Xin Nuo, gently kissing by her ear, speaking with a low and gentle tone. She chuckled lightly, “Of course, I wanted to see sister take the initiative.”
“Thank you for the hospitality, sister. I really like it.”
Xin Nuo tightly bit her red lips, closed her long eyelashes tightly, and turned her face away. Xu Heran smiled, hugging Xin Nuo’s shoulder and intentionally resting her chin on Xin Nuo’s shoulder. She raised her gaze to look at Xin Nuo’s profile, saying, “So nervous?”
“Shut up!” Xin Nuo was almost driven mad by her, burying her face, biting her lip tightly, refusing to admit defeat.
“Right.” Xu Heran slowed down her actions, sitting cross-legged, hugging Xin Nuo’s waist and holding her close. Her gem-like eyes looked downward, observing Xin Nuo’s partially exposed and tightly stretched long legs. She spoke slowly, “Does sister want something more exciting?”
“Want something even more thrilling?”
“I’ll fulfill your desires.”
“Is that alright?”
