Grab The Heroine and Run Away

Chapter 119: (End)

Xin Nuo hugged the book in her arms, looking at her with surprise and caution.

“Your eyes are so dark, even darker than Xu Junran’s!”

The little girl’s voice was pleasant, dispelling the unease in Xin Nuo’s heart. She whispered, “Thank you.”

Xu Junran, who had been silently observing from close by, took a step forward and grabbed Xu Heran’s leg. “Get down from there!”

“No!” Xu Heran raised her hands, pretending to be fierce.

“Huh?” Xin Nuo was surprised as she scrutinized the girl sitting next to her, who looked a lot like… a girl? But she clearly heard a boy’s voice. However, the child was wearing a skirt.

Ignoring Xu Junran, Xu Heran shifted from a kneeling position to sitting and scooted closer to Xin Nuo. Xin Nuo smelled the sweet scent on the girl, just as sweet as her voice, unlike the other kids in the park who were constantly running around, shouting, and crying.

“Big sister, what book are you reading?” Xu Heran, being rather familiar, asked, “Can you read it to me?”

Xin Nuo looked up, and there was a smiling adult standing not far away, probably the parents of these two kids. However, the number of parents seemed to be a bit excessive.

With a snow-white and clean little face, the black-haired girl, as delicate as a carved jade, wiggled her foot. She thought she didn’t have anything else to do, so she might as well read a story to this little child.

The teacher said to respect the elderly and care for the young.

So, Xin Nuo slowly began to read the story to Xu Heran. The reason for the slowness was that she didn’t recognize many characters. Fortunately, the phonetic transcription was marked above the characters in the storybook. Her mother had read her this book at night. Xin Nuo stumbled along while reading. Xu Heran listened with relish. As she listened, her little head leaned against the other girl’s arm. She looked up at the girl’s face, smiling all the while.

Xino, holding the book in her hands, lowered her head and met the radiant smile.

“Big sister, you look really pretty!”

They had only just met, and this princess-like child had already complimented her twice. Xin Nuo politely and sincerely replied, “You’re pretty too.”

Like a princess stepping out of a fairy tale, the color of her eyes was something Xin Nuo had never seen before. A daring idea suddenly sprouted in the five-year-old Xin Nuo’s mind. Could this little girl really be a princess from the kingdom of fairy tales?

At that moment, Xin Nuo’s mother came over and spoke to Xu Heran and Xu Junran in the Blue Land’s language, roughly indicating that it was getting late and they should go back. Listening to these unfamiliar words, Xin Nuo’s doubts grew heavier.

Even when she was four years old, she thought that all fairy tales were lies to deceive children!

“I don’t wanna, I wanna play with this little miss a bit longer!” Xu Heran suddenly reached out, embracing Xin Nuo. She was short, so after some consideration, she lifted Xin Nuo slightly.

In Xin Nuo’s warm and fragrant embrace, her whole head looked around in confusion.

“Pei’er, that’s impolite,” Xu Jiamu frowned.

Xu Heran quickly let go and apologized to Xin Nuo, “Big sister, what do you usually do?”

The clever Little Pearl took the opportunity to chat with Xin Nuo. As long as she didn’t look at her sister, her sister couldn’t take her away!

Little Pearl had a quirky logic.

“Go to kindergarten, dance,” Xin Nuo said.

Usually, she would attend classes with other kids at her mother’s dance studio, but today was Sunday. On Sunday afternoon, her mother had to provide individual guidance to a child at their home. So, Xin Nuo came back to the park to read.

Xu Heran exclaimed happily, “Dancing! I like singing!”

“Ah,” Xin Nuo closed the book and looked at the little girl who held her brother’s arm and hopped to the ground. She stood with her hands on her hips, sticking out her round little belly. She sang songs Xin Nuo couldn’t understand in a sweet voice, hopping and dancing with a cheerful attitude.

The little boy in a skirt next to her followed suit with jumps.

Little Pearl raised her hand, “Wow wow lala!”

Xu Junran also raised his hand, “Lala lala!”

Little Pearl crouched down, “Frog croak croak croak.”

Xu Junran crouched down too, “Croak croak croak!”

Xin Nuo found it interesting and followed along. She stretched out a leg, pointing her toes behind her head.

The two siblings, squatting on the ground, said together, “Wow!”

Xin Nuo performed a waist split for them. As her body stretched out, she raised her arms and danced a short segment of classical dance that looked graceful and elegant—quite distinct from the energetic “quacking” dance.

Both standing adults and squatting children applauded excitedly.

“This is classical dance,” Xin Nuo said, her pride showing in her eyes.

Little Pearl nodded and added, “Drum dance! Good!”

Among the assistants, there was one carrying a camera. They captured the playful moments of the children to show to Mr. Xu and Ms. Diana. Xin Nuo curiously looked at the woman holding the camera.

“Do you want to take a picture together?” the assistant asked gently.

A photo?

Every year, Xin Nuo’s mother would take her for a photo shoot. Feeling a bit shy, Xin Nuo’s hand was grabbed by Little Pearl. The two siblings stood beside her, and Xu Jiamu also came over.

An assistant asked Xin Nuo for her address, saying they would send her a copy of the developed photos.

In the evening, while describing the events of the day to her mother using all the vocabulary she knew, Xin Nuo talked about the girl’s eyes she had encountered. Just then, there was a knock on the door, and Xin Nuo’s mother, puzzled, opened it.

A beautiful box lay on the ground, but the person who delivered it was nowhere to be seen.

Baffled, Xin Nuo’s mother brought the box into the room. Xin Nuo stood by her mother’s side, watching as she opened the box to reveal a beautiful cake. On the cake, a girl with closed eyes danced with a smile, her fingertips pointing towards the distant sky. A CD and several photos lay beside the box.

“It’s her!” Xin Nuo tightly held her mother’s hand. Bright light shone in her black eyes. “Mom, is she the princess from the fairy tale kingdom?”

Xino’s mother smiled and caressed her daughter’s cheek. “Perhaps.”

“But you’re also Mom’s princess.”

The planet spun slowly. In the unseen space, the consciousness of the world lowered its gaze, observing the hands of time moving slowly.

This year, Xu Heran turned five.

Xu Jiamu, only twelve years old but already preparing for high school courses, sat at her desk, diligently studying ahead. In her arms sat a white, round, and fragrant little pearl. Little Pearl sat in a reversed position on her sister’s lap, cheek resting against her sister’s chest, sleeping soundly.

Xu Jiamu took notes while occasionally lowering her head to steal a glance at her sister’s long eyelashes.

Within the cosmos, a wave from another plane made the world consciousness flare up in anger.

Within the river of the world, a smiling soul spoke to the system with a mischievous grin, “As soon as I finish this task, I will have completed nine villainess missions and can receive the reward of rebirth and freedom!”

“You promised me originally to give me an unparalleled world, to grant me the most beautiful appearance, the strongest power, and control over the world!”

The Villainess System looked at the nearly overflowing energy it had stored, its mechanical voice filled with a sense of human pride.

“Rest assured.”

The soul flicked its fingers, reclining in an extravagant lounge chair, its tone lazy. “I thought the missions would be much more difficult, but it turns out they’re quite easy.”

Upon hearing this, the system suddenly spoke, “Originally, the Villainess System chose you to play the role of a malicious supporting female character according to the script, to cooperate with the plotline and ensure the normal operation of the world. This was also the reason for the collaboration between the Transmigration Bureau and the World Consciousness Management Bureau. However…”

Such normal cooperation couldn’t satisfy the Villainess System’s demands for energy. It was an unremarkable system among countless others, dreaming of becoming the most powerful and energy-rich system, ideally taking the position of the mainframe.

Unlike those systems that simply followed procedures, it knew how to cleverly exploit rules and loopholes. For instance, it discovered that designating a certain world’s key figure as a villainess could generate energy nearly a million times greater than before, especially during the collapse of a world. This energy was sufficient for a system to upgrade.

From being an unremarkable little system, it squeezed its way into the top one thousand positions among the systems. Its climb was fueled by this discovery. Moreover, in the myriad worlds of various planes, some had no world consciousness, and in some, the world consciousness remained dormant. Even if it caused trouble and the world collapsed, the Central Bureau wouldn’t notice.

The birth and destruction of countless worlds were all part of the normal order.

“Since this is the final time, let’s go all out.” The system spoke, spreading out the selected world. In the scene, a young girl’s blue-purple eyes shone brightly. It silenced the arrogant and pleased soul for a moment, its expression turning cold.

“I despise attractive people the most, especially when they’re not only good-looking but also wealthy and powerful!”

The system casually said, “Then, just as before, occupy her body, control every aspect of her life, bask in her glory and wealth, and then let her fall into the mud with no place to be buried.”

The soul burst into laughter, spreading its arms wide, relishing in its words. “I most enjoy using their bodies to savor life, after all, in the end, it’s not me who dies!”

And it will fulfill me too!

“This lifetime, your original script was Xu Heran, but it doesn’t matter, let’s go.”

Just like before, the system held the identity letter issued by the Transmigration Bureau, rushing toward the world it had chosen with the host. In the eyes of both the soul and the system, there was a strong determination. Then, they collided with a solid barrier.

“What’s going on?”

The system and the soul looked at each other, knocking and striking at the door. However, this world staunchly prevented them from entering.

In the highest plane, the Consciousness Entity that governed many worlds received the Transmigration Bureau’s System Director who came to inquire about the matter. The Consciousness Entity shimmered with a faint golden light.

“You used world energy to rewind the Villainess System’s time, sending it back twenty-six years. I’m curious why.”

“According to regulations, if the world’s timeline is reversed, it won’t affect higher-level life forms.”

The faint golden light consciousness flickered, and it smiled faintly. “Because I’ve discovered some unfavorable matters. For the sake of the world’s freedom and peace, they should be involved in the game.”

The System Director’s expression wavered with suspicion. What kind of unforgivable actions did his staff commit that required the World Management Bureau to expend such a massive amount of energy to reset the Villainess System’s timeline by twenty-six years?

“What’s going on? Let us in!” The system and the soul pounded on the door, holding up their passage letters.

“We have permission to enter!”

The World Consciousness sneered. It had used up a significant portion of its energy. Could it really let itself fall back into the experiences of the past? But…

The estate surrounded them gently. Half-asleep and half-awake, the five-year-old little Pearl looked up in confusion, only seeing her sister’s fair skin. She shook her head, nuzzling against her sister’s embrace, murmuring incomprehensible words. Finally, she closed her eyes again. Just before drifting back to sleep, she mumbled in a drowsy voice, “Like sister.”

Xu Jiamu’s pen paused, her lips curved upward, and she bent down to kiss her sister’s head.

Sister likes you too.

Outside of space, the system tried everything to break into the door. This was the door it had chosen from countless options. As long as it took over this world, it would be able to break into the top five hundred of the system’s rankings. How could it willingly give up?

Three years later, the World Consciousness smiled faintly and raised its hand.

The system and the soul that had suddenly rushed into the door stared at each other.

“Could it be the doing of this universe’s World Consciousness?”

The system shook its head. “This World Consciousness is currently asleep.”

It had also applied to headquarters, and the conclusion it received was that this World Consciousness was already asleep before the collaboration between the Transmigration Bureau and the World Consciousness Management Office. Perhaps it hadn’t received the notification from the management office. However, they were trying to find a way to let the system enter to carry out its tasks. But there were many others in the queue ahead, causing the Villainess System to wait.

If the Villainess System didn’t complete the mission in this world, it couldn’t take on other missions. Giving up would also mean paying a price in energy. It had dryly waited for three years. It and the host had accumulated five years of anger, ready to vent. Yet, they didn’t know that in the unseen places, the World Consciousness’s furious gaze was fixed on them.

“Never mind that, focus on the task. Remember, six years from now is a critical point. Xu Heran must go to Hua Country to participate in the talent show!” the system said. “Her destined partner is in this program. Your goal is to mess up the two of them, and according to the plan, let Xu Heran’s reputation crumble.”

The soul sneered coldly. “Just a Xu Heran is actually the key figure in this world.”

“Tsk.”

She opened the task list, preparing to enter Xu Heran’s body.

“Thud!”

The soul collided with Xu Heran’s body and felt dizzy. She looked at the beautiful girl sitting on the couch, earnestly watching TV, shocked.

Again?

The soul tried several times, even switching hosts. Birds passing by had also been attempted, yet none could replace any life.

The system sensed something was amiss. “Could it be that other systems have discovered my secret?”

Impossible. For so many years, nothing had happened. How could it suddenly be exposed?

“What do we do now?” The soul panicked slightly. If the mission couldn’t be completed, she would be trapped in this world forever as a formless soul.

The system thought for a moment. “Try exchanging for items.”

Items required expending the energy collected by both the system and the host. This energy would dissipate into this world, becoming nourishment for it.

“Xu Jiamu, you’re back?” The ten-year-old little Pearl hopped down from the couch, looking at her silent sister standing by the door, widening her eyes. “Sister, did you cry?”

Photos scattered from Xu Jiamu’s hands as she hugged Xu Heran, who was rushing towards her.

Xu Heran was quietly held by her sister. She lowered her gaze, looking at the girl in the photo with a smiling expression. After Xu Jiamu went to university, she became even busier. To relieve stress, she would take walks around the campus in the evening, taking photos.

She fell for a girl.

A girl who was calm, quiet, but would smile at her when she was being photographed.

An unspoken understanding led to thoughts growing in her heart. Yet, she unexpectedly learned that the girl was returning to her home country and already engaged.

“Don’t cry, don’t cry, sis.” Little Pearl patted her sister’s back.

In the void, the soul sneered and turned to look at the busy system.

“Can you handle it?”

Facing the question after another failure, the Villainess System’s data surged wildly within. It was a symbol of anger.

For six years, a faint golden light continued to radiate, and the World Consciousness that watched over everything observed their efforts. More and more golden radiance descended until finally, it signaled with a beckoning hand.

The Villainess System and the host soul, who had thought they would miss the crucial moment, both let out a sigh of relief simultaneously.

“The confusion potion, finally found one that can be used.” The system looked at the energy consumed despite having no effect, feeling sorry for the loss. It swore to obtain compensation from this world!

The soul looked at Xu Heran with hidden resentment and envy, observing her increasingly beautiful appearance over time and the glory she dreamed of. Viciously, she said, “Using items like this, I can’t even enjoy the pleasure of destroying a person!”

“Don’t say so much, quickly do the mission and get the energy!”

The confusion potion quickly took effect. It could influence the memories of the Xu family for a year. Xu Heran was shaped into a rebellious and uncontrollable child. The “rebellious” Xu Heran had arguments with her family, ran away from home, and flew to China.

The system and the soul exhaled again, satisfied as the plot unfolded according to plan.

China, Starshine Girl.

Xu Heran looked blankly at the girl she coincidentally encountered, subconsciously curling her eyes. “You’re really pretty!”

“Thank you, you are too.”

Her voice is melodious too!

Xu Heran approached her happily. “So, what’s your name?”

The girl with black hair had a gentle voice. “I’m called Xin Nuo.”

In the void, the soul let out a piercing scream.

“The potion!”

What’s going on? What on earth is happening in this world?

The system was ruthless, a sparkling golden light rushing into the world.

In an instant, in everyone’s impression, Xu Heran was an arrogant young lady.

The World Consciousness that watched over everything thought for a moment, suppressing its restless hand.

“Hey, you’re really good at dancing.” Xu Heran crouched in the practice room, speaking to the girl wearing a hat in the corner. “You should be confident. You’re good-looking and you dance well, you’ll definitely achieve good results!”

The girl with “Song Fenghua” printed on her body looked at Xu Heran in bewilderment.

It seemed the little princess wasn’t as arrogant as others described.

She whispered, “Thank you.”

“Keep it up!”

Xu Heran patted her shoulder. “If you need someone to practice with, you can come find me.”

The girl, who appeared indifferent to outsiders, looked at Xu Heran’s radiant and earnest eyes, nodding slightly.

“Potion! Potion!”

“What’s going on? Why did it wear off so quickly?”

Golden rain fell over the city by the sea, dense energy filling the sky and earth, an awe-inspiring sight invisible to the naked eye.

The comfortable World Consciousness stretched lazily, opening its hand.

A white light appeared in its palm.

“It’s time.”

Compensation for its children.

The light surged towards the earth, the weeping girl fell into a deep slumber, and the girl in the practice room with cool black eyes opened her deep, black gaze.

In the void, energy fluctuations gathered, the life forms of the Transmigration Bureau and the Administration that captured the criminal system and its host appeared together. The World Consciousness exclaimed in surprise as it watched the waking girl touch her head.

“I’ve transmigrated into a book?”

World Consciousness: “…”

“Sorry…” The Director of the Transmigration Bureau, a well-known figure, looked embarrassed. “While capturing the Villainess System, some energy accidentally spilled out and affected the plotline, just a bit. But you can fix it later.”

As compensation, the Director of the Transmigration Bureau supplied a substantial amount of energy to the World Consciousness.

Is this the overbearing Transmigration System?

The World Consciousness looked at the crowd pressing down with irrefutable evidence, the captured criminals leaving the “crime scene.” The Villainess System and the soul roared angrily in their restraining cage.

“You maliciously disrupted the plotline, causing eight worlds to collapse forcibly. To punish and compensate for these worlds, the Villainess System will use all its energy to reset the timeline of the eight worlds, and the host that colluded with the Villainess System will participate as well. You will enter these eight worlds and the future 9,999 worlds. You will play the role of villains according to the pre-written script, receive the appropriate consequences, and earn energy as compensation to repay the nine worlds. If the 9,999 worlds are not enough for repayment, then another 9,999 worlds, until the repayment is complete.” The Transmigration System spoke slowly. “By then, the two of you can go to jail.”

The Villainess System and the boastful soul froze, trembling in fear and begging for mercy.

No one would let them off the hook.

“Right,” the Transmigration System addressed the World Consciousness in this realm. “Before you go, the Director of the Administration mentioned that you shouldn’t forget to have tea with them.”

“Okay, I’ll go,” the World Consciousness replied.

But there was something to wait for.

Raising its hand, the World Consciousness caused the effects of the potion to gradually dissipate. In the wood-toned practice room, the girl with blue-purple eyes held the hand of the black-haired girl and earnestly said, “I won’t bully you anymore, I promise. I like you the most, NuoNuo!”

Under the brilliant starry night, the girl with black hair smiled and looked back, saying, “This isn’t the end here. We’ll fight another day.”

In the ancient and dignified estate, the girl with blue-purple eyes lowered her head earnestly and kissed the corner of her beloved’s mouth.

On the podium under the watchful stars, the gentle and beautiful woman held a golden cup in her hands, her voice tender and charming. “Thank you, my love, for always being with me.”

At the concert cheered by thousands, the woman kneeling on one knee let her love show in her eyes. “Marry me.”

A pure white wedding gown cascaded to the ground, the newlyweds walked through blossoms, applause, joy, and touching moments, heading towards the long-awaited dream palace.

The gentle ocean waves rolled to the shore, sunlight kissed the white clouds softly, observing the earth, and the forest serenely enveloped the verdant, offering its gifts to the world.

Xu Heran lowered her gaze, her voice soft.

“I love you.”

“I love you too.”

Just as you love me.

Xin Nuo chuckled lightly, rising on her tiptoes.

They kissed amidst blessings.

The sky was vast and blue, a golden bird took flight from the hem of their beloved’s dress, soaring through radiance, towards the sky, towards the stars, towards the universe, sprinkling specks of light. The dim starlight suddenly became bright, like water that had been splashed with pure, crystalline light, shimmering.

Mists of stars swirled, and the silent spinning world was reborn in brilliance.

Satisfaction departed from the depths of consciousness.

And here, the universe shone brightly, like love, freedom, beauty.

Eternal.

The author has something to say:

It’s finished!

Confetti~~~

There’s not much to say in thanks, you know I love you all! Mwah! Mwah! Mwah—

Thank you, everyone, for being with me throughout this journey. I’m happy to have met you all and hope for many more encounters in the future. Hearts~

The two precious geese will continue to live happily in their universe, forever in love, forever passionate.

(Happy spinning in circles)
