The Players And The Protagonist Want To Kill Me

Chapter 68

Chapter 68: Host, please insert coins first

These first-level troops all seemed appealing, with each having a melee and a ranged unit, and their prices were almost the same.

Only the troops from the Shadow Guild and the Graveyard had slight price differences.

The Shadow Guild’s Assassins and Crossbowmen both cost 150 points plus 5 Gold coins each. These troops seemed not to be meant for the battlefield but for causing havoc behind enemy lines.

The recruitment price for Skeleton Soldiers was only 25 Villain Points, which he thought was probably because Skeleton Soldiers were too fragile, being nothing but bones.

After much consideration, Sivey ultimately chose the Outpost. It wasn’t because Orc Infantry weren’t powerful or because the Shadow Guild’s Assassins weren’t cool.

First, he was still in the Human Empire, surrounded by enemies, and needed to act discreetly.

Second, only the Outpost’s troops came with their own armor and weapons. His calculations were meticulous; if these system soldiers died in battle, the armor could still be used by common soldiers.

Once he became more powerful in the future, he could consider unlocking everything for fun.

“System, exchange for the Outpost.”

“Ding! Outpost exchanged. Current remaining Villain Points: 30,450 points. Outpost manifestation requires a location. Manifest now?”

Sivey quickly chose no.

If it manifested, having a barracks building stacked on the balcony of the castle’s top floor would look ridiculous.

“Master… mm… hug…”

Suddenly, he heard Lori’s drowsy mumbling beside him. He thought the little maid had woken up, but looking down, he saw she was only talking in her sleep.

Sivey smiled faintly, hugged the little maid a bit tighter, and with his head resting against her soft, fair cheek, he fell into a deep sleep.

……

The next day, the sun shone brightly, and the sky was cloudless.

Lori, wearing a beautiful maid skirt, walked thoughtfully to Zoe’s room.

“What did Master mean this morning?”

“Warming the bed is one thing, but why does Lori have to pretend to be unwilling tonight and loudly resist?”

The little maid shook her head in confusion, deciding to ask the older sisters with Mrs. Chris for help later. They knew everything and could surely help her solve the mystery.

She had come to check on Zoe. From her master, she already knew the pitiful girl in front of her was the Demi-Human Saintess.

But Lori felt nothing about this. If it had been before, she might have been happy and excited to meet Her Highness the Saintess.

But now, aside from being with her master and working at the medical clinic, nothing made her particularly happy.

On the contrary, she felt more guarded and fearful.

The room was eerily quiet, with only Lori standing and thinking, and the Saintess lying unconscious on the bed.

“Will she take Master away from me?”

Lori murmured with her head down. Her usually gentle and bright eyes now looked empty and dark.

“No… I can’t let that happen…”

“Master is mine. He belongs to Lori. Without Master, Lori would die… Lori doesn’t want to die. Lori wants to be with Master for a long, long time…”

“Have many, many cute children with Master…”

“She must not take Master away.”

Lori’s hesitant and timid expression turned suddenly hysterical.

“As long as I can stay with my Master forever…”

“Even if it means killing, Lori will…”

She looked coldly at the Saintess on the bed, leaning down to gently place her warm, small hands around Zoe’s neck, gradually tightening.

Zoe’s fair face gradually turned red, soon showing a painful expression due to suffocation.

“No…”

“Can’t do this.”

Lori murmured, withdrawing her small hands from the Saintess’s neck.

“If I do this… Master will hate me…”

“If the Master hates me… then what’s the point of Lori living?”

Lori looked with a complicated expression at Zoe, whose frown gradually relaxed, then placed her hands on Zoe’s and began using her power to regulate her body.

“Actually, Lori alone cannot serve the Master well…”

“So, I just need to make sure she can’t take Master away.”

With this thought, the little maid controlled two forces to penetrate deep into Zoe’s body.

One force, in Zoe’s defenseless state, smoothly embedded itself in the depths of her soul, while the other force entangled her heart meridian.

“This should be enough…”

The stealth force in Zoe’s soul would gradually merge with her as she comprehended the Breath Of The Wild, making her feel close to Lori and not wanting to harm her.

If something Lori didn’t want to see still happened in the future, the second force would serve as a backup measure.

The little maid felt a slight sense of pride in her cleverness at this moment. She smiled brightly, her eyes becoming bright and gentle again.

“Time to polish Master’s armor~”

“After polishing the armor, off to the medical clinic~”

The little maid mumbled softly, left Zoe’s room with a cheerful smile, and disappeared down the corridor with a light step.

Shortly after Lori left, Zoe, lying on the bed, suddenly opened her eyes.

Those eyes were hollow and crazy, reflecting a scene of corpses and blood, filled with astonishing murderous intent.

“I… I survived…”

In the quiet room, her hoarse, raspy whisper echoed.

……

In the castle’s back garden.

Sivey was standing in front of a three-story-high outpost, touching it here and there, his face full of curiosity and exploration about the new thing.

“So, system, can I go inside and take a look?”

“Ding! This building was materialized to avoid suspicion. Its interior is just a common teleportation magic circle.”

“Can I see the other side of the magic circle?”

The system remained silent, as if it had crashed.

“Can I? Can I? System?”

“Ding! No, this is a one-way teleportation magic circle and does not have the function of two-way teleportation.”

“Oh,” Sivey shook his head regretfully. He was really just curious about how the system manufactured these system soldiers.

Could it be cloning technology?

Sivey suppressed his curiosity and decided to summon a few system soldiers to test.

“System, first summon five Crusaders and five Sharpshooters for me.”

“Ding! Please insert coins.”

With the electronic sound from the system in his mind, a metal slot extended from the outpost’s door.

Sivey: “…”

“Insert… insert coins?”

“Quite advanced, huh? I thought it would just deduct directly from my account.”

Sivey grinned, picked up the prepared bag of Gold coins from the stone table behind him, and tossed it into the metal slot along with the bag.

The metal slot slowly retracted, making a strange “ka-ka” sound. The slot, which had already retracted, extended again and “spat” the bag of Gold coins onto the ground with a “puff.”

Sivey: “…”

After a moment of waiting, a group of robust, heavily armed soldiers with visored helmets, looking almost identical, opened the outpost door and stood neatly in front of Sivey.

“Lord!”

The soldiers moved in unison, their voices loud, placing one hand on their chests and bowing to Sivey.
